I purchased a vehicle from them, a Ford Windstar to be exact, of course at 4000.00 dollars over Kelly Blue Book Value, seeing as I have bad credit due to a bad divorce, I get to get screwed like the thousands of other people in my situation that they are "trying to help out" by extending credit to. Of course not only do they charge you more than what the vehicle is worth, but they also charge you an extremely high percentage rate for it as well, somewhere around 20 something percent. The vehicle I purchased from them was supposedly in top working condition, but three months and three weeks after their 3 month warranty had expired, much to my surprise the engine goes to hell, well was about to go to hell. It was in the process of throwing a rod through the engine block. My mechanic told me that they had to have known that it was on its last legs or there abouts and sold it anyway, just putting some finishing touches on the engine to keep it sounding good for awhile. When I brought this to their attention, they of course would not admit it nor would they even negotiate on having it fixed and absorbing some of the cost! Not only did they not help me get myself back on my feet and start fresh, they put me well on my way to financial ruin again by selling me a bad car that I couldn't afford to fix or replace and left me high and dry while they laughed all the way to the bank because I still had to pay for it even though it sat in the back yard, useless! Don't ever buy from these crooks!
I agree with you 100% they take your money and run. I just got a car from them a 2000 ford focus and I have had it maybe 2 months before it broke down. I only put 2000 miles not even and when i called they didn't say they were sorry or anything. I had to ### just for them to say well will pay to have your car look at . They should pay for the towing and to fix my car.
I also purchased a vehicle from this dealer. Just a few weeks after I paid off the loan, I received a letter from the DOT advising they could not change the title over to my name (removing the lender) because the lender (at the time was Van Boxtel's), did not have a state inspection done on the car. They cancled my registration and would not send me an updated title. I was able to register it for all those years, but not until I sent in the Title to have Van Boxtels removed as the lender, that I learned about his. I notified Van Boxtels and told them of this. Instead of them asking me to bring my car into THEIR shop, I had to miss work, bring my car into a shop in Appleton, have the state inspection done, and PAY $125 up front for the inspection and the use of car lift. I notified Van Boxtels to ask if they could pay these fees over the phone with their company money - they said no. I was sooo angry, paid the fees, and within 2 days, had a check in my mailbox from Van Boxtels for $125.00 - It was not a pleasant situation. Took about 2 months to get this issue completely resolved. I even had to drive my car w/o it being registered until the inspection was completed. How can you sell a car at a dealership w/o a state inspection. Unbelievable. Be cautious.
You people are rite.we bought a car thier because of our bad credit at $4000 dollars more than its worth. The only thing i can say is talk about nailing someone in the keister when thier down.I find it hard how someone can do that to somebody and have a clear conscience and wake up every morning and look themselves in the mirror.i guess it takes a ruthless person to do that.Glad i can wake up every morning knowing im not like that. All i can say is they that i hope the car last because if it doesnt i will drag it thier when its paid off and let them deal with. It also had bad controll arms on it when i bought it took it in and thats what they told methey said it was $386 too fix it since it was still under warranty.Well i know they would have not fixed it correcttly so i spent a $100 dollars and fixed it correctly. I know they dont inspect thier vehicles before they sell them.beware of this place they are BS in my book and i will never go thier again.
I too bought a car from there and the first 10 minutes I drove it off the lot the alternator went out...then I had them tow it at there expense and fix the alternator...after 2 weeks I finally got it back with no phone calls and no information...2 hours after getting it back the alternator went out again! So I then had it towed back again and tried to get my money back or get into a different car...which they were not willing to do by any means...i didn't have a ar flr a month and had horrible customer service for a car that was 2 times to more expensive then it was worth...i contacted the Better Business Bureau and they ended up sending me 4 free oil changes...thats it...i also contacted and attorney who told me they have sued broadway so many times that they are technically "not allowed" to sue them anymore...STAY AWAY FROM BROADWAY AUTO CREDIT...they are scammers and the people who make the wordl an untrusting and unreliable world...plus they prey on the poor like predators!
if i could afford it..if god would send me a miracle and i would be taken care of finacially for the rest of my life VERY WELL i would return the car i have and tell them to shove it! i will NEVER EVER do business with this company again. today they came to my house and demanded to talk to my husband he wasnt home but the lady who came to the house (SHE was the only nice one) handed me the phone and said BRYAN wants to talk to you so i did the first things he said were basically interrogations he was RUDE, SNOTTY AND AN ARGOGNAT ###! even the lady who came to my house told me to hang up on him as she could hear him yelling at me over the cell phone NOT only that but his supervisor was a total witch (Ann) this was all for 85 dollars! which we were paying that day when my husband got home! and we have never been late before! BROADWAY Automotive you need to think about how you treat your customers i will be telling people who are looking to get a car NOT to go to you!
I also have purchased a vehicle a crystler 300m and like the other stories i have fixed my vehicle 3 times in 6 months with the warranty over. Now i am finding out again i need to fix yet another part the timing belt and tension bar which is gonna cost me 890.00 dollars. They have definitely not help get me on my feet yet put me further in debt. Which now ive fallen behind on payment yet they are onme about their money but couldnt care less that the vehicle they sold me was junk and had stuff wrong with it and they knew that. Very angry! !
They are racist, I was on the phone with them and in the back ground I heard, get this, "another stupid ###". I am white.
This is really correct. I am really frustrated about my car. I bought the car about three months ago and my engine car was completly dead. When the sales person sold me this he was really cordially but now nobody want to help me with my car. I continued payment my car every week but my car was dead, and yesterday I brought my car to the dealer service department and when I called today nobody get me a good answer. Just they did a good service when you going to buy a car and when you did a payment after that the services was really bad. I tried to rebuild my credit back but this is not fair for me I did not have a car and I continue make payments. They are really terrible and I want to change my car and they said no you need to pay over one year to do that and my car is was really cheap value in the market and they triplicate the price. Do you consider this is fair, what happened if I return my car back to a dealer?
