Repair on 2020 Silverado LTZ
On November 20th I had drove my truck to C.Harper GMC in Connellsville, PA. The service light was on. The codes came up with 16 different codes. It was determined it was a timing chain issue. Today is January 22 and my truck has been disassembled and was told that a tensioner is now on back order. I make a living in my truck as a Safety Inspector and require a 4WD. I work in the gas and oil industry.
My complaint is after all this time (63 days). My truck is still in the shop disassembled with NO completion date. I was given a loaner car for the duration. I had requested a truck. Restitution or something should be rewarded for the rediculous waiting time. I have even explored trading it in but, I cannot afford another truck. My next step will be to report this to BBB unless something can be satisfactory.
I’m tired of waiting. I have a business trip in a week to Texas which would require me to drive and I was counting on me having my truck back.
Please advise.

Cadillac Issue

My name is Jonathon Durigon, my phone number is [protected]. At the end of March 2021 I purchased a 2016 Cadillac XTS from C Harper in Belle Vernon, PA. I took it in for service on August 25, 2021 due to a noise in the front passenger tire area and the steering wheel was shaking and it was pulling to the right. After they looked it over and diagnosed it I was told it would cost close to $3, 000.00 for all repairs. I was told both struts need replaced and all 4 tires need replaced. And that my warranty was up at 70, 000 miles. I bought the car with 69, 000 miles on it so I basically had no warranty, and only made 4 payments so far on the car and I'm having to get a lot of work done to it already. I feel that is not right and I feel the inspection prior to purchasing was not done because there is no way both struts should need replaced after 10, 000 miles. I feel that C Harper needs to hold responsibility on replacing the struts.
Desired outcome: I would like C Harper to replace the struts for free. Also would like a discount on new tires and get an alignment too.
Service vehicle
On February 2, 2010 my husband, Joe Kurtz, took my 2003 Pontiac Montana van to C. Harper for their complimentary oil change and oil filter. That was fine. He was told it need a "RR HUB BEARING ASSEMBLY" at a cost of $657.76 for GM parts or $425.99 for after market parts. He was also told it needed rear brakes at a cost of $172.00.
He didn't have them do the work for the hub bearing or brakes. Instead he tool it to our local mechanic for an inspection. My van did need the RR hub bearing assembly, however, IT DID NOT NEED READ BRAKES. The rear brakes passed PA inspection. The total cost of my bill for the inspection and right rear hub assembly was $200.34.
When he left the servicing department, he was told that we'd be getting survey about their work and to please rate them satisfactory. Well, when I get the survey form they will not get a satisfactory rating. They were wanting to put new rear brakes on my van that were NOT needed. Guess they wanted to make some money off of us since the oil change and oil filter were free.

I have been dealing with C.Harper for many years. I have purchased 4 Pontiac's and 1 Chevy from them new, and a Hyundai used. All of these vehicles came with the free inspection and oil changes. Each and every time I have any work done by them, it was done professionally and the vehicles were delivered when promised.
I have never been charged for anything that did not need done and was advised of anything that was getting "close" so I could make an informed decision as to my need.
From the Salesman that went above and beyond to get me a rare car from North Carolina, to the Service Adviser that is always on top of my vehicles needs.
You can always go cheaper on anything, but you should never go for less quality.
C.Harper will do all my work.
