I have cashed cheque this way quite a few time so I know I was doing every thing right but the App just kept telling me to reload this went on for 2 days On the third day I called Money mart they didn't know why it was doing that so they had me do it again and again! but nothing worked NOW as you might KNOW you have to write on the cheque ON LINE DEPOSIT ONLY and SIGN it! so the last time I called the number I found on the money mart page, I was told to take it to the store and id have no problem so with a hurt leg that I cant move at the moment I take a 30 min over 29.1 km ride on a moving co-vid public bus drag myself the 2 blocks from the stop into the store only to have them Say no way because I already signed it W T H! you cant use the dam App unless you sign it So now what I asked she told me that the persons I talked to on the phone had no business telling me to bring it to the store! the guy on the phone told me to take it to the store IT wasn't my fault the dam app won't work! the lady at the store said just go get a new cheque JUST! get a new one OMG go and get a new government cheque talk about adding insult to injury I have been at this for day and now only doing what I was told to I'm turned away with out a cent on me I dragged my self back the 2 blocks with a messed up leg I did see a bank and went in to see if I could cash it there but no way because of the fact that it said for on line deposit only so back to the bus stop where I had to just stand there! for just over 3 hrs in a great deal of pain I might add! thank god I had the same bus driver on the back to pity on me and lend me the fare! so now what do I do with no money no food no nothing and I'm told to get a new one! So I'm told it can take 5 to 10 business days for a new cheque! what a huge painful in convince I don't feel that I should have to wait 5 to 10 days to get a new cheque! I have had a account and a titanium master card with money mart for over 10 years in fact I was the manager of a business right next door to the money mart store for years and they all know me by name and by face. I cashed a cheque a few weeks ago with out any issues but now when it failed via my cell phone I tried to down load the app on my tablet but it isn't android 10 so it says its not compatible only with android 10! right you would think that people most of them that do there banking at money mart on line etc would only have android 7 or less But lucky for me I do have android 10.. but it still didn't work! I think of all the people who need to use this on line app that cant because they don't have a brand new phone doesn't seem right or fare it seems like discrimination of sorts to me! I did however take a break from writing this complaint to rest my leg and I tried it again still didn't work and I called them again the man asked to do it while I was on the phone with him. It didn't work again he didn't have any ideas or solutions nothing then I asked him! couldn't I email it to you and so that is what I just did and I did get it cashed but not before sending and re sending a total of 17 times 3 phone calls a painful long trip and being turned away at the store not to mention all the stress I think that these facts would make for a very good human interest story don't you? I hope that I don't have to give my ombudsman a call or my local paper and that something is done to fix this.
