We bought a leather sofa/recliner unit from Lazy Boy, Whitby, Ont Canada in Feb 2017 with a 7-year extended warranty, of which we paid extra for a total cost of over $6,000.00. After 4 years, the right side started to crack at the seams and sides of the backrest and is also out of alignment on the left side. We sent pictures and details to your insurance company (Zucoro Inc.) with the reply from them that it was not covered. They didn't even send anyone out to look at the sofa. Note, we have no pets or children. After going to the Whitby store, the manager instructed me to send an email directly to a woman at Zucoro by the name of oxsana.[protected]@zurcoro.com, which we did on Feb 27, 2022. It's now April 25th with no reply from her at all. This is terrible customer service. We're not looking for any type of refund or replacement (unless it cannot be repaired). We just want it to be fixed. So, it looks like we have no other recourse but to start a small claims court proceeding against lazy-boy. This is really an inconvenience to have to take this avenue what we thought was an upstanding company. We would appreciate a reply to this email as soon as possible in hopes this can be rectified. If we receive no response or action, we are also going to have t shirts made up for my wife and myself indicating "go screw yourself la z boy, customer service is [censored]!"
Desired outcome: We would like someone to personally come and look at our sofa and consider the options of repair or replacing.
