This company has been contacting my phone with text msgs trying to reach my brother who has been deceased for two years! I have asked this company before when they called last year about my brother and informed them then that he died in Mar2019! What do I do and who is this company?!
CLM continues to harass me over a debt from a company, that was paid well over year ago, in which was paid & with agreement settlement. I have called them and left messages telling them this but they continue to call or text.
Capital Link Management calls me repeatedly about a debt incurred by a member of my family who I haven't been in contact with in years. The family member apparently put my name down on a loan application years ago and now they can't find him to collect. So Capital Link Management has me on auto dial and harasses me because I won't go out of my way to help them settle a debt that has not one thing to do with me. All I can say is if you think I'm complicit then take me to court. I'll be happy to file a counterclaim if that's what it takes to get off your list.
I am extremely upset that my family continues getting calls from this company
I am extremely upset that my family continues getting calls from this company. That should not be happening. This is not professional. They told my family they were listed as a reference but that is false, they are just saying that. These calls need to stop and I have reached out to take care of the matter

This company has contacted me about my brother's debt twice now, once through a phone call and once through text message. I called their main line Friday April 16th at 12:25 p.m. to ask to be removed from the call the list and a female picked up. I briefly explained the situation and expressed I wanted my number to be removed. She said, "Yup, ok" and hung up on me, which shocked me. I called back to make sure I was indeed removed from their list since they did not successfully do it the first time and said if she did not actually remove my number I would report her them to the... and that's when she cut me off, got belligerent, raised her voice, and asked why I was threatening her. She would not listen and was completely unprofessional. After she rudely cut me off, she said I'll transfer you to someone else, and transferred me while I was still talking! I hung up and called this female back three times to avoid an unnecessary wait and each time she would not let me get a word in edge wise, simply saying I am going to transfer you. The third time I tried to ask if she was capable of just being a professional for just a second, but I was still cut off and transferred. I finally decided there was actually no point in trying to reason with someone as incapable as her, and got put through to her manager Luke, who was pleasant enough. He thinks she was having a bad day, and says he won't be "mean to her" when he speaks to her about her disgusting phone etiquette. Lol. But he was actually a sentient human being who was capable of confirming that I had indeed been removed from the call list, something that was too difficult for the female to handle. So if you have to call these people, prepare yourself to speak to someone who is extremely rude, aggressive, unprofessional, combative, and defensive.

I received a call today, the first time I have ever been contacted by this company, and I asked the gentleman to send me information via mail vs. email and he said email is faster and I explained I understand however I prefer the info mailed. He said I see why you can't pay your bills and hung up. This was extremely unprofessional and rude. I still don't know what debt he was calling about.
Supposedly I have an outstanding Payday loan and this company has been texting me from 57844. Since they have been harassing me, I'm going to file a complaint with my State's Attorney General Office.
Had to give one star would be less. This company buys old debt way old debt then threatens you will a lawsuit or garnishment or a lien on your property. They try using threats against you when the Statues of limitations have ran out.

I received a call
I received a call. A robot answered so I immediately thought scammer. I was forwarded to a man who asked if I was ***. Then he proceeded to give me her last 4 digits of her social and asked if I was her. Jokingly I said sure. (Thinking this was a scammer). What they need to do is ask for my last 4 digits of social instead od the other way around. Then he proceeded to tell me I had all this debt. Funny thing is I'm not *** and don't know a ***. But I feel bad for whoever is in debt to these monsters. They r rude and when I tried to tell the lady I thought she was a scammer my bad and my number is not *** she was Hella rude about it.

I constantly get text messages from this operation--whose legitimacy I seriously question--informing me that someone's *** account, with an outstanding balance of $411.97 has been transferred to Capital Link Management, and that they are willing to settle for 205.99 if I'll just call the number they provide. First off, I am NOT the person whose name is included in the texts, and I don't know him/her. Also, I've never had an account with any company called ***. I'm pretty sure that this is a scam, and I'm 100% sure that they're not getting a cent from me. I hope that no one else falls for this scam and actually sends them money.
I am an attorney
I am an attorney. This organization contacted my law office during business hours to inquire about one of my clients and asking me to give out their personal information (social security number, home phone, cell phone, etc.) but would not tell me why they were calling. When I asked to speak to their in house counsel I got the run around... with several people picking up to assure me that they 'handled legal matters' but later admitting they were not lawyers. Again, none of them could tell me why they were calling a law firm during business hours and trying to solicit attorney client privileged information. I believe this organization is a scam and that they are likely misusing information. I have inquired of several consumer law attorneys on a national electronic service about these tactics and to be careful in dealing with telephone phishing techniques.

This company is a third party debt collector, and are following legal processes to collect on debts
This company is a third party debt collector, and are following legal processes to collect on debts. Illegitimate debts being collected on are not their fault, and would need to be brought up with the company contracting this one to collect those debts. My only issue was the failure to disclose what I assume is a processing fee during a collection attempt. I was contacted today about a delinquent debt that I assume was legitimate, I don't honestly remember if I had paid it or not. I was told the settlement amount for the debt would be $255, and I was hesitant but agreed to pay. I was charged $267.75, however. It's certainly a minor thing, but an extra $12.75 that was not explicitly stated that I would be charged is concerning to me. I did decline to receive an email, and that is likely my own fault, but I did not hear a disclosure for a fee to process the transaction, and the amount stated as less than what I was charged.
One star for now, simply because of their unresponsiveness to my texts
One star for now, simply because of their unresponsiveness to my texts. CLM has left several voice mails on my phone since the beginning of the month, some of which gave me the option to send them a text, and that is how I am choosing to interact with them until I receive more detail. My first text to them was simply, "Replying to voice mail left at this number", assuming that someone at CLM will pay attention to what number that text was from and provide more details via text. No such luck. Got another voice mail and sent another text: "Replying to voice mail left at this number. Please provide details here." A couple of hours later, another voice mail. By the way, none of these voice mails contain any of the additional detail that I am requesting. Sent another text with a simple request: "Please reply with the name of the person of interest in this matter." My guess is the person they are after is not me. Next voice mail was very odd, "please press 1 to speak to a representative". Not sure why a live representative would leave a voice mail explaining how to speak with a live representative. Sent another text: "FINAL NOTICE: provide more details in text or voice mail. Further correspondence from Capital Link Management with no details will result in a Complaintsboard.com complaint." That voice mail, with of course no details, and still with the option to send them a text, was received today. So far, there seems to be no intent on their part to engage in a text conversation, despite what their voice mails say. So as promised, here's the Complaintsboard.com complaint.

Capital Link Management LLC continues to call my employer looking for me under my old name (***) on multiple occasions
Capital Link Management LLC continues to call my employer looking for me under my old name (***) on multiple occasions. The office manager office asked them not to call the company and the person argued with her, acting disrespectful, thinking it was me. The owner, *** then called the company back and stated not to call the company and they needed to call my personal phone. I then called back on MY personal line and spoke them a rep. He said he would leave the matter alone if he didn't hear back from me by 4pm that day. Well, Ron R called today, 8/6 at 11:am CST. the Office manager argued again not to call here and he claimed he didn't have a personal number for me. Ironically, they called my cell phone before and again immediately after calling the office. They are being asked to stop harassing my employer. I am not available to come to the phone at my job. Ron wants a call back to . My job is on the line for this.

For about a month now I've been receiving the calls from this business and the only thing that they leave is some vague message saying I need to press one to talk to somebody about some legal charges. I'm sure nowadays businesses should understand that we do not answer calls without going who's calling nor respond to messages that do not explain why they are calling. Until they actually explain what the charge is I have blocked the number and will delete all voicemails.
Capitol Link Management LLC calls and texts me multiple times a day for a debt collection for a ***. I have replied with STOP as their text message states and multiple times called the number back which does not work. This has become harassment and today I received a text for settlement of the debt, which to me should be a violation of privacy for sending debt information via a text message to an un-validated persons phone. How do I stop this business? I have blocked both text and phone and they call and text with another extension. Text message: Hi we are reaching out today to offer you a reduction on your outstanding ***,account.***, ***, Current balance is $1,253.13 , . Settle for just $501.25 to close your defaulted balance. Please call . File #: ***, This is an attempt to collect a debt. If you wish to no longer receive text messages, please reply STOP.

I keep getting text messages from this company that are vague and threatening. I called them and said they had the wrong number as I do not have any legal outstanding debts that I am aware of. I have not been notified in writing about any outstanding valid debts.
They have been calling my neighbors non-stop looking for me. I called them a few weeks ago and asked them to not contact anyone but myself. I was assured this would be taken care of. My neighbor advised me today that they have been contacted again about me. I am not sure why anyone but myself is being contacted about my business. I want them to stop harassing my neighbors.
I keep getting unknow calls
I keep getting unknow calls. I don't answer unknow calls. I am working on paying off bills. So I contacted cashnet usa they instructed me that it was transferred to a third party. So I contacted that company and they instructed me to contact another, then another. When I finally got with Capital Management I told them I didn't know when I'll be able to pay them. They told me if I didn't let them know today they would issue court orders. I asked why know since it's been all this time that I owed this money. They said it's because this w as the first contact they made. They insisted that I give them a date. But I told them i didn't know. The agent got very aggressive with me and said he'll just have to sign off and issue court order. He said if I wasn't going to give a gate an amount of my payments then I was wasting his time and there were 100s of people he could be talking to but I was taking up his time. I asked to speak to his supervisor, but he never transferred me but wanted

Hello, I have continually received calls from this company which leaves an automated voicemail stating that I need to call them per legal actions immediately. I call them and found that my mother has collections through them and put me on some sort of list. Now, I have no knowledge of any of this nor do I wish to find out. I have requested multiple times on the phone to please be removed from the call list to no avail.. The individuals I have spoken to are rude and not helpful to my requests of being removed from the call list. At this point, this is harassment and I believe they need to be reported in whatever form is most proper for this sort of incident. I appreciate your time and understanding in this case. Thanks -
I keep receiving text messages from this company trying to collect a debt. I have no affiliation to the person named in the text messages and report all text messages as junk mail. I do not know who *** is...so Mr., please stop sending me text messages. This is in regards to reference # ***.
They call every day, all times of the day. They text everyday, all times of the day. I have told them to STOP. I have blocked them and they call from a different number. They are harassing me!

This company continuously calls me about a debt I have never had
This company continuously calls me about a debt I have never had. It started with calls that left automated threatening voicemail messages stating that if I did not speak to one of their representatives I would be marked as non-compliant. It evolved into automated as well as personalized messages stating the debt in question was for ***. I have not received legal notice of this issue by mail. When I block a number a new number calls with harassing messages. I have never had an account with *** because I have never taken out a pay day loan and would never consider taking out a pay day loan from that company or any other pay day loan/car title loan company. No information can be given to me unless I provide them with information first. That is how identity theft happens in the first place by giving information to random strangers that call unexpectedly. STOP CALLING ME NOW! I am not behind on any account. My credit report if clean! CEASE AND DESIST! This is FRAUD!

The CLM company has made at least two demanding phone calls without providing information to verify why they are calling. I am asking for a cease and desist order immediately. CLM must stop harassing me and never call my cell phone again.
I have received constant phone calls harassing me to pay them money, and they can provide very little detailed information on why. They don't even have my current home address. They were pushy and threatening. When I asked them to provide details they made excuses, including COVID (how is that relevant?) for collecting money from almost a decade ago. I've attached the extremely generic, no detail document they provided me for Complaintsboard.com to review. This has got to be a scam. My next step is contacting a lawyer.
This company keep contacting my phone and other that's associated with me. I sent them an email to advise them to stop contacting my family or myself. They say that it was a debt from I think they say 2018, I think. I will like for them to cease from calling or contacting any type of way. If this continue after we sent them an email as well as this. We will force to get a lawyer. All we want them to do is stop contacting family and myself
This collection company is overly aggressive. I received a call from them regarding a past due debt. I am not disputing the debt but I am filing this complaint based on how aggressive they are. Threatening to serve documents without letting me look at when I can set up payment arrangements. I didn't have a calendar in front of me. He expected me to answer his question right then and there! I needed time to see when my pay dates are and when the payment won't interfere with my other payments. I do, in fact, want to set up payment arrangements but being aggressive with me isn't going to help the situation. As stated, I am more than willing to work with Cap LInk Mgmt, but not if they are going to be aggressive
This company continuously sends texts to me, my son, my ex husband, my husband's ex and who knows who else
This company continuously sends texts to me, my son, my ex husband, my husband's ex and who knows who else. CLM claims that I owe money for a credit card. The only one I had from that company was prior to my bankruptcy (filed Oct 2015, discharged in Feb 2016). When I spoke with them and asked why they were calling my husband's ex, their response was "we contact people who we know will cause problems for you." This has been happening for over a year and I am requesting a cease and desist. I asked for them to mail me proof and provided my address for them and I have NEVER gotten a letter or anything! Today both my son and I received an identical text at the same time that said "***, Payment declined, Please call call ***. This is not sales or solicitation. To opt out reply STOP. To opt out, please reply "STOP". Wording in the text leads me to believe this is a scam and they come from different #s. Our exes changed phone numbers and CLM is still contacting them.

I have been unemployed for nearly 2 yrs, so have obviously gotten behind on some bills
I have been unemployed for nearly 2 yrs, so have obviously gotten behind on some bills.. now recently,, I have recieved numerous calls that my phone flags as robo and/or potential spam. The phone numbers all seem to be just 1-2 digits off from each other, which IS a trick spammers use. I can easily get 5 or more of these per day sometimes. Now, the first time I ever heard of capital link management was when they contacted my sister, looking for me, like 2 wks ago. They claimed to be calling me about one of my overdue bills. When I contacted the company the account was originally with, I was given a completely different company name and phone number. So now I'm super confused and have no idea how to settle my debt when I do actually have a paycheck again. Please help! Minimally, I'd like capital link to stop the harassing robo calls, LEAVE MY FAMILY THE HECK ALONE, and send my proof of what I owe through us mail(if I do have an account that was sent to them). But prefer cease and desist

Company contacted us (and family members) about a medical debt that is nearly 5 years old but cannot provide any information to substantiate it
Company contacted us (and family members) about a medical debt that is nearly 5 years old but cannot provide any information to substantiate it. On the phone, we were given two different dates of service and told they do not have the name of the facility where the debt was owed. The alleged debt was in an old maiden name (that was not the name at the alleged date of service), supposedly sent to a old address (not the address as of the alleged date of service), and billed to insurance that was incorrect. It is impossible to verify with such incorrect, old, and constantly changing information, making it difficult to conclude this is legitimate. Additionally phone calls from this company have been made in two different names - Capital Link or ***. Again, it's impossible to validate any debt when the information is wrong or constantly changes. We asked for proof of the debt by email and instead only received a payment demand. Without proof of the underlying debt, it's difficult to conclude this isn't a scam. I also contacted the only medical facility we believe was visited during the alleged date of service who advised they have no past due amounts in my name and that they don't sell to this agency.

I have received texts from CLM () about a debt collection for a *** which isn't me, from a company called ***, they no longer have a local office. Where as, his last name is close to mine, the first name is not. It seems they are reaching out to anyone they can find a phone number for with either the same or close to the same name. I called yesterday and the gentleman I spoke to seemed frustrated that it was a wrong number and said he would remove my number from the list. Today I received another text, so I called back (). When I told the guy who answered that I had received a text and it was a wrong number, he said are you related to a ***? We just need you to relay a message to him. My husband is not from the area we live in and has no family that even lives in a nearby state. Also, my husband's first name isn't *** and his last name isn't ***. This company needs to figure out how to find the person, instead of reaching out to everyone with similar names that live in the same city. The city I live in has a population of over 130,000 ppl, and many with the last name P. If it continues I will reach out to an attorney to get a Cease and Desist harassment order. Poor business practices.

Absolute invasion of privacy - I am so beyond appalled at how this company harasses people not involved in a debt collection, if that's what this company legitimately does. I don't care if the person you're looking for lives with me, they are your problem...not me or my spouse. I have never in my life had any debt collection agency contact my family members or spouse regarding any delinquencies I've had in the past, and to the extent that this company does. I called the company after receiving multiple text messages (and my spouse had received multiple as well,) that I responded with the word "stop" as the text messages says to in order to discontinue receiving the messages, looking for family member. When I called a rep named Brandon answered and asked if I knew who they are looking for, and when I told them "no" because honestly, it's none of their business who I know, the rep quickly cut me off stating my name came up on the caller ID and they showed me as being the individual's sister. Even after requesting they remove myself and my spouse's numbers from their database I will be blocking their number. How this company is able to access my information regarding another individual when I have never once been in contact with them previously is absolutely terrifying and infuriating.

In the midst of getting a backup phone in service, I received a call
In the midst of getting a backup phone in service, I received a call. I answered because it seemed possible that it was the cell service provider that I was chatting with online (via computer). Mind you, that this phone had zero contacts on it. The call suspiciously came right after the phone showed it was in service by displaying provider & signal bars. Caller asked if this was (my name). I asked who is calling? She said she was Mary F. I asked what is this about? She said she needed to talk to (Xname). I asked why she needed him and what business was she calling from. She gave me her name Mary F from Capital Links. Because of federal regulations, she couldn't disclose details on why she was trying to reach (Xname). But added this was an attempt to collect a debt, that there was a financial claim. I asked for a call back number. She gave to me. I said (Xname used to be a neighbor) that I would let him know if I could figure out a way to reach (Xname). I am uncertain if they were pfishing for me or the other person they asked for (Xname). Besides what's public information, my loved ones and family members are listed only as beneficiaries or emergency contacts. I have never applied for a loan or credit using any of their information. I am concerned because this type of call has happened before. I'm hoping the Complaintsboard.com can shed some light on this. It continues to be an ongoing problem for not just myself but SO many others!

I have received multiple text messages from this company stating I have a balance of $231.25 in collections for an urgent care visit
I have received multiple text messages from this company stating I have a balance of $231.25 in collections for an urgent care visit. They first time I called them they said it was a Community First Health bill. I have no idea what Community First Health is and I have never had a plan with them. They said it was for an urgent care visit but refused to tell me what urgent care. The address they gave me to verify my identity is an address at Highland Ridge and I do not live there. They kept transferring my call to different people. One person I talked to unprofessionally said, "Ew your account is weird" and transferred me again. The last person they transferred me to was another women who had received the same text and called in to question it and she agreed this was the shadiest company she'd ever heard of. Then I received another text message and called them again. This time they said the bill was from February and again refused to tell me what urgent care. They told me the bill was from *** I did not have *** in 2018, I was on Medicaid. They again tried to verify me with an incorrect address. They kept transferring me to talk to different people and the last person they transferred me to gave me a totally incorrect name and called me Kylie. This 100% sounds like a scam and they will not stop harassing me even though I've responded to the text with "STOP" as the message instructs. I do not have any outstanding bills from February , I did not go to an urgent care during that time, I did not have a plan with *** or ***. I want them to stop harassing me.
