This number was emailed says I need to register as a business. I am not a business I am offering day care in my home for one child. then I received this email: We're sorry - your profile post does not follow our guidelines for approval and is not currently active. Be sure your profile is at least one sentence and is relevant to the type of care you have selected. Please review your profile post and resubmit a new profile that meets our guidelines. Now I can not even log into my account! Then I received an email saying my acc was closed. Apparently you have canceled my account. I am extremely angry! I can not even log into my account to get chat with someone about these issues. Seems funny to me once I actually paid for a membership this happened. I have also even applied for a care position. That I can not even access. This is very unprofessional of you! I have been trying for hours to contact someone. I believe you are a full scam. I hope to hear from someone ASAP

As an employer - account access and cancellation
This company has no customer service. It is a scam. Do not subscribe. I repeat do not subscribe. Once you sign up for an account you lose access to edit your details or even cancel your subscription. The chat doesn’t work once you’re a subscribed customer. The number that you find gives a busy tone after the initial greeting. I have not been able to reach anyone in the company after my first payment and now I cannot cancel my subscription. The best the website can do is cancel the auto renew but what they don’t make explicitly known is that you will be charged every month for 12 months and then your contract won’t renew.
In top of that, the website is in a loop glitch where I can’t even find free lancers to get my money’s worth. Every page gives me an error. I’ve tried on chrome, safari, edge Microsoft and through mobile. All the same error. So the service is useless to me and yet I can’t access my account to cancel. I’ve sent a message through the chat (while not logged in bc the chat option disappears when logged in) and have not heard back. It’s been 3 days.
This website is a scam. Do not subscribe.

I am an hha certified and have been with care.com since 2014 and had 5 stars reviews on my account but for no reason, care.com closed my account. I was in total shock. Contacted them and I was told they have the right to do so without explanation. I am very disappointed in care.com because I did absolutely nothing wrong and didn’t deserve this at all. All my jobs have been on care.com but I am now on the verge of becoming homeless with my children due to my account closure. I hope care.com look into it and reopen my account so I can get a job and be saved from being homeless during this winter. Hope my request will be granted.

Care provider
I paid for the basic care badge to have access to families just over a year ago. I paused my profile less than 60 days later and hadn’t logged on. I randomly received a message from a family who stated I came up at the top of their search, despite my profile being hidden for months. I attempted to contact Care.com about the privacy concern and received no reply. In the interim I was charged again for a full year, even though everything was supposedly paused. There is no way to contact anyone via phone, which is insane given the safety and security issues that can take place on the site (some of which I’ve experienced first hand). I submitted a contact request online as instructed by the recording when calling and it said I’d receive a response within 48hrs. A full twelve days later they get back to me on the three messages I’d sent. They completely ignored the privacy concern and didn’t provide an answer on why my profile was viewable and searchable despite being paused, but responded to my follow up on being charged for the “service” further when again, it was supposedly paused. Flat out scary that a company handling such vulnerable situations operates this way. I’ve been a nanny over ten years and at this point would prefer Craigslist or FB to care.com.
Desired outcome: Refund the additional year I shouldn’t be paying for given that I am not using the service (and can’t, and haven’t) and explain why families can find me when my profile says paused.
Bad Customer Service, Policies, and Business Practices. Allegedly Thieves!
I have a premium membership with this company and have used them in the past to locate and hire babysitters. The babysitters can determine how they would like to receive payment. After messaging a potential babysitter, a payment was submitted in error via care.com website. Immediately after this happened I reported it through their only contact option which was chat or e-mail. On October 8th 2022 I sent an e-mail to care.com along with chatted with the representative. The representative via chat advised they needed to submit my cancellation request up to the escalation supervisor team who would assist with canceling it. They advise that I should hear a response within two days. I followed up through the chat option on October 10th,October 12th, and finally on October 14th. On October 10th and 12th, both representatives advised that it was still being reviewed by the supervising team and I should hear something within two days. Upon my contact to them on the 14th, a rep stated that they're unable to assist me and cannot cancel the payment. This came from a representative and not the supervisors who I've been waiting to review my case. The rep told me I needed to contact the babysitter in attempt to get the funds back. But how can or why would I do that, if I submitted to care.com prior to them allegedly sending to babysitter that didn’t accept my job. This company is thief, if they allow this to happen. Care.com charged me $164 for a service that was not received or even accept it by the sitter.They refuse to give me my money back. Service was not received or accepted by the sitter. I requested a cancellation immediately before processing and followed up. There is no reason why this company would need to keep my money. No service received or agreed upon. No one ever contacted my regarding any of my inquiries via email or chat. Then refused to help me. Not reputable company or honest.

Termination
To whom may be at attention, I had been using care.com for 5+ years and finding both jobs and needing to hire someone for a job. One day they magically wanted me to be removed and no longer active. I had no idea or understanding to what I had done to violate their terms of conditions as I am definitely not a criminal and know in fact, for sure I had done absolutely nothing! There is no way to contact anyone or email support to get the reason or explanation? It is upsetting as so many users as myself have no idea what went wrong? I believe cad.com has bad customer service and neglects to address their customers questions. I believe they should be shut down for doing what they are to peoples lives and work. It is not fair or right and they should be written up for each time they have someone complain and not respond. I have been telling others to use different apps and not give care.com business, in hopes they learn a lesson on how to handle these issues, problems and professionalism. I’m so beyond disappointed and confused.
Desired outcome: I’d like a representative to give a proper indication of an actual reason why they remove someone and explain.
Unauthorized charge, refused refund
On 9/23/22 my credit card was charged in the amount of $164.45 for a second year subscription to care.com. I did not knowingly authorize this purchase or for my subscription to be renewed. The first year I only used the site a handful of times and did not find it useful or beneficial. It was definitely not worth the annual fee. I had no plans to use the service again. I also did not receive a reminder email with a notification explaining that my subscription was set to auto renew. If I received a renewal notice I would have then realized that it was going to auto renew and I would have promptly cancelled my subscription before my card was charged. Every other subscription service provides a notice. It is not just a small fee. It is a large fee and when I try to contact Care.com about it they just say that I am not eligible for a refund and that subscriptions are nonrefundable. Then they close my inquiry and if I want to discuss it further, I have to open another request and start all over. I also was not approved to purchase a second year but Care.com doesn't seem to care. I also was refused tax exempt status. I paid for and just accepted the loss for the first year. They have poor customer service and business practices. No matter what it was the answer was no. They also do not stand behind their product and take advantage of customer’s trust. They do just the bare minimum leaving out important details and hiding them in their policy of use and privacy practices.

My identity was obviously stolen and one more charge and no refund means i get an attorney involved
I have seen all the people that have complained about this same false charge and we are all at the point of suing you for false charges

Removed My Account
I just recently made a profile on Care.com in order to look for nanny employment opportunities. This was a site recommended by two nannies I know. I even messaged a couple of parents and the next day I received an email that I had been removed from the website. There was no explanation. I had already passed the background check, and once that was complete I changed my profile information to reflect my transgender identity. There was a separate section for "legal information" so I figured this was allowed. This is the only possible reason I can think of that I was removed and I imagine removing a member for being transgender is highly illegal.
Desired outcome: To have my account reactivated.
Complaint
I was hired as a caregiver through Care.com. My account was closed due to a review I received after quitting a job with a client that was verbally abusive during my short tenure with the client. This has affected my possible income as a caregiver. Care.com is apparently taking the clients side in this issue. I have given my email and phone number to Care.com and they are not willing to speak with me about this issue. The client was out for revenge against me and Care.com has not taken this serious. Subscription service
In March 2022 purchased the service looking for a caregiver to help our family. I immediately canceled the service (same day) due to few options in our remote area. I have been charged 41.52 for 5 months despite canceling on the website and speaking with 2 customer service (located in another country) reps. I was told they could "reimburse" me for ONE month only. After reviewing my statement to see if the month was credited I noticed they charged me an additional month instead of removing it. In summary, As of today, July 31st, I have been charged $249.12 for a service I have continually canceled and NEVER used.

Good morning. Tried my best to unsubscribe from CareZen Family Solutions and companies but they do not comply with Canadian internet standards as they NEED to provide a link to unsubscribe at the bottom of each of their email as well as on their own site. They prefer to use a third party located in the USA which are only in existence to build a database on people so they can sell it to whoever pays for them.
Though it has become a general practice, the Canadian Gov't among several others which includes ARIN terms and conditions to supply a DIRECT LINK to unsubscribe for unwanted emails. A formal complaint with the BBB is going to be sent in a short while. Enough is enough.
Desired outcome: Make your site in accordance with North-American and Int'l standards in relation to unsubscribe link on each of your numerous unwanted emails. A formal complaint will be filled with the BBB in a short while.

Yesterday, July 11th, I signed up for care.com. Everything was going amazing until I got a notification saying that my account had been terminated. The only thing that happened before this was my attempt to change my preferred name. My legal name was all the same, but I entered in my preferred name, Korbyn, and suddenly, termination. I didn't realize being trans was grounds for denying me a job. Hours before the name change, I attempted to edit my description. I added something to the effect of this; Though I identify as a man, my voice and body type often lead younger kids to refer to me as "she." This isn't a problem at all, and I won't correct your kiddos. I completely understand and wouldn't want to confuse them. I clicked "confirm" and waited for approval; it never came. Instead I was terminated. If you're trans of non-binary, save yourself the heartbreak and stress and don't give these people any money. I paid 20 dollars for their stupid background check, only to be met with this.
Desired outcome: I want my account back. If that isn't anoption, I want my money back.

I just ran into the same issue. I had three interviews lined up for this week and now all connections I made are gone because they terminated my account when I addressed them for showing my deadname to clients when on my end it said they would show my preferred name. I even legally changed my name and tried to talk to customer support for the fact that my preferred name now reflects my name on my social security card and they said they would help and get back to me. Next day they closed my account. If you are non-binary/gnc/trans, don't bother with this site, they are transphobic. They waited until my second monthly payment came through and then terminated my account. "To follow up on your request, I've gone ahead and closed your Care.com account with us." I didn't request for you to close my account. But now I can't get it back. All connections made are now gone.
Ridiculous
I used this service one time. I paid for the entire year. They charged me without notice for a reoccurring charge, and when reaching out they provided me with a generic email that they did not even read! Ridiculous, Buyer Beware!

Care.com terminated my premium membership, which I paid over $150 for, with absolutely NO explanation. This occurred on June 10 at 10:53 am. I have been a premium member for over 6 months. I have tried to contest the termination but have not gotten a response. I would like my account reactivated with an explanation as to why it was terminated. Account terminated with no explanation (but I think it's because i'm trans)
I created an account on 6/4, but noticed that my legal name and gender (as opposed to my preferred name and gender) were displayed on my account. I messaged their support, and the individual I spoke with said they would help me to change my name and gender before my account was officially approved. I checked on 6/6 to find that my account was in fact posted with my legal name and gender, unlike what I was told. I proceeded to change the name and gender listed on the account myself. However, less than 30 minutes later, at 2:02 PM CST, I received an email stating that my account had been terminated with no explanation. I was also not given a real Reference ID because the email stated that the ID was "xxxxxxxx". I was open about being trans on my bio and with the support individual I spoke with.
Taking money from account.
Account was paused then deleted at the end of May. Today 6/2/2022, $42 was taken out of my account for care.com when no money should be coming out. Unable to contact this company, no response through their facebook messenger. I would like an answer and refund, without having to contact my bank for fraud. ALSO, unable to get into my account to change anything.

I do not have access to my account because my SSN verification failed several times. I believe it is because my SSN was recently issued.

No way to contact live customer service
I have been unable to access my care.com account for a week. When I attempted to login my account, an error message appeared and prevented me from using the strong password I'd created. My only hope of answering messages I'd been alerted to have received was by sending an email message. I sent a message requesting help as soon as possible. An auto generated message was in my email inbox acknowledging having received my email with a promise to be reached by customer service within 72 hours. Out of frustration because I wanted to read the messages in my inbox, I wrote a second email request. No one from customer service has reached out to me. It's been an entire week, and I am financially dependant on the jobs I get through Care.Com. When I began looking into how else I might contact care.com customer service, I quickly learned that there is NO way to communicate with anyone from the company outside this email option; its where you are directed when you find the one and only phone number for the company. I'm ready to call a lawyer.
Desired outcome: Reinstatement of my Care.com access, and communication sent to the senders of messages that I have been unable to reach. Minimal financial restitution.
