On the morning of Monday, January 15, 2024, I was driving south on I-75 and was hit from behind. I myself was injured and sustained a fractured nose. I was taken to the ER and my car was towed by Carl's.
On Tuesday, January 16th, I called Carl's and asked what the next step was and was told that I would have to pay for the tow. Okay, fine.
We go down the next day and I had realized on top of everything else I didn't know what happened to my driver's license. I hoped that wouldn't be a problem. That was a problem. They would accept no form of id, even if it had your face and your name and it was you. Went and bought another as well as even another registration and went back down there. They tell me it's nearly 600 DOLLARS and that they only accept cash. Of course I don't have $600 cash on me. They direct me to an ATM where I can't draw out any more than $200 so that won't work. And they were going to close soon and my 76 year old father was getting aggravated.
So now we have to go back tomorrow. Every time I said none of this was ever told to me or that I was obviously put out by what I was being told they just looked at me and shrugged, literally.
I have never seen a place that has been in business for 91 years, they say, have such pitiful people working for them. Just horrendous when it comes to service or people skills or giving a damn whatsoever.
