Cancellation policy
We opened in December 2018. Almost 5 years. Now we're struggling a touch. Need to cut back. Only to be told we've a contract to January 2026! Is it normal to give out 8 years contracts?
I've cancelled direct Debit but am worried about being sued. this is surely NOT legal. Reading similar cases of 5 years. Well we're coming to the end of 5 years and apparently another two years to go!
Desired outcome: Cancellation after almost 5 years of loyalty. We can't afford it and they want their pound of flesh.
Waste collection
Awful company, charged us all the way through Covid for about a year when we were legally not allowed to be open, while all but one other companies made contact with us to pause payments, and then cathedral hygiene tricked me into signing into another 5 year contract when I queried this, I thought I was just signing for my free year to make up for charging me through Covid. 21 months later I’ve cancelled my direct debit and they’re calling me immediately saying I’ve got to pay another 3 years! Of a contract I never knew I was signing, they’ve absolutely mis-sold this contract and I’ll be fighting it all the way to court! It’s funny how they have their own debt collection agency and how everyone has exactly the same complaint about being duped into 5 year contracts, listen to your customers, let them leave when they want to, contracts of this nature shouldn’t be over 12 months
Desired outcome: Just cancel my contract, you mis sold it and as you say, you have 60,000 very happy customers so you don’t need to keep hold of me when I don’t want to be with you

Unfair Terms and One-sided Contracts
This company mis sold us a 5 year contract to supply air freshners and wash room soap.
The sales rep installed a toilet air freshener in the office space which caused headaches and people to feel ill within two weeks we asked for it to be removed.
Then started the scenario from hell! Constant hounding to pay up a 5 year contract even though the product was installed incorrectly by themselves, ridiculous fees to pay for the air freshener which are £20 on amazon. Ridiculous fees to have a qualified technician remove the offending air freshener. (really 1 screw)
Chasing with debit collection agency (Another department of theirs funny that they are so geared up for this!) for full 5 year fees.
Avoid them at all costs this is a scam artist company with terrible customer service

Having being recently duped by Catherdral Hygiene I googled Cathedral Hygiene Complaints and found myself on here. I thought I signed up for £4 per collection of sanitary fortnightly for 12 months, I'm a first time cafe owner and came into my cafe saying I need a bin as it is the law to have it or I will have environment health to answer to. I was waiting for my food hygiene certificate so this scared me. Then a bill came for much more, as they said it was weekly, then added vat which they failed to say it wasn't included. I didn't pay as I was arguing with them, then they sent me a annual invoice and threatened court. I told them to collect there bin. Two of them then came in the shop to bully me. Never responding to emails as to not leave a paper trail. I signed in August I believe and is still unresolved, so they called again and I said we need to agree an alternative for the remainder of the 12 month contract to which she replied ‘you mean 60 months' I was gobsmacked, my lease is only 3 years at the building and I know I said I can only sign a 12 month contract. Well and truly lied to. If anyone has any advise, please help me!

These people are particularly unscrupulous. We signed a 60 month contract which expired in August 2016. When we called to cancel it they stated that they have, without discussion or notification, rolled it over for another 60 months and penalties would apply to cancel it! As advised the contract’s rolled over in August 2016, our contracts are legally binding and as such cancellation fees are due as advised.

Cathedral Hygiene Tamworth Staffordshire - complete con artists! Duped into a contract with them, hidden charges, terrible customer service, absolute nightmare to deal with. Don't use them at any cost!!!
