Porting of number
Hi my son has been struggeling to port his old cell c number to a new cell c sim for how long now. They keep on asking him silly questions like when last did he load airtime. He tells the lady at call centre he cant remember because he stays in a house with wifi and dont worry to load airtime, why not ask the child whats his i.d. number which is more important than when last did you buy airtime and the lady at call centre is like parrot that keeps on with same thing. no man wow ask something that counts, who in todays fast life can remember when last did you load airtime. It's really stupid.

Cell C Stardom SAT Push, CellC Strive Life, Star Live
Good morning,
Cell C has send me sms's on 3 occasions stating that I've subscribed to services that deducts money daily. It seems by simply opening the sms to read it, you are registered automatically without given any consent. Also Stardom SAT Push sms did not say where it was from or how to opt out. The other services had a bit more detail but does not give you the opportunity to opt out.
I cant see how this is acceptable. It is similar to e-mails with a virus that infiltrates your computer by simply opening it, the virus destroys your computer. The sms is automatically deducting money from my Cell C account. It is then up to the Cell C client to run around trying to find out how to cancel and opt out from the service they did not subscribe to, and have no idea what service it might even provide.
Please can you investigate, and address it. Cell C should be held accountable to such behaviour or at least make the T&C clear in the same sms.

Credit issue on cell c contract
On trying to upgrade my contract in November 2022 ref nr, [protected], they found my credit score 'blocked' as some dept was handed over! Dept I was never informed about, or gotten any warning letters or Info about from Cell C. My contract was active all the time, all the debit orders went off monthly as it should. Over the past year I have been receiving calls from a credit company that wanted me to confirm my ID ext, they are calling me, and should know who I am. And on at least 4 occasions after these calls I phone Cell C Customer care to be told that there is no problem with my accounts and I must ignore the calls!
I then received sms messages from the kredit company about paying money I to an account. I then emailed the credit company on 24/01/2022 and ask them to send me the information on the so called dept, contact detail, ext, but they just responded by saying they are forwarding my query to the client. Other that that I received no further info from them or cell c. I have last phoned cell c on the 28/12/2022, the reference nr. [protected], and was told that my case was forwarded to the dept to correcty credit score! That is now another week later and no feedback. In the meantime the credit company called me again, want me to confirm who they are talking to with my ID. And on telling the lady that I am not giving personal detail to anybody on a phone she said then she cannot continue the call! I am very frustrated as this is affecting my creditability unfairly! Also my current phone screen is damaged because of this mess I cannot upgrade.
Desired outcome: I want my credit restored and this issue resolved asap as it is not my fault and I should not be negatively affected by a system failure or fault

I Anushka van Der westhuizen have a big problem with cell c in 2021 I asked for 1 data Sim card then they send me 4 Sim cards I have tried sins 2021 Feb that cell c must come and collect them from me know I can't upgrade because this 4 Sim cards that is still not used I will not pay them I don't want them I payed over in May 2022, R7500 and then in June 2022 I payed a nother R7500 and then a payment for every month up to now normal invoice still nothing came of this I have send emails that they must come and collect but I'm in Jan 2023 and still it's against me. cell c handed me over for something that is not even on my account I spoke to a person by the name Abdullah he told me my account will be sorted still nothing on 04/01/2023 I got a nother case number [protected] I want my account sorted by the end of this week.in 2022 I was behind one month for January 2022

Debit order amount
Hi, am Thabelo Matidze, I'd no:[protected]. This is my fourth complain to you guys without any issue being resolved. You are debiting more than we agreed on. There is something that you have added, what I do not know. The amount, it's supposed to be R360 and not R417,98. Please resolve this as we did not agree on. I'd like this to stop and refund what has already been debited.

Three fraudulent contracts were opened on my name

But cellc forensic dept is now uncontactable and unreachable to offer me a clearance letter

Cell C is a joke!
So there was a note left on my profile for authentic proof of payment on 23rd Dec, today I get a call to be notified! I'm not sure how much more authentic a bank statement emailed from the bank must be? I think I should take someone into the bank and show them that R38 000 of my money is sitting in their account! This is madness, if this takes any longer, I'm complaining to the Ombudsman and taking cell c to court. Absolute incompetence on every level, disgusted at the service!

I called today to speak to a manager and the customer service agent George said that the manager will call back. I said I will hold because nobody will call me back, this is an ongoing issue, he placed me on hold and after a few minutes he said he is transferring me to the manager, he eventually hung up! I still didn't receive a call!

This is now becoming frustrating because it has happened twice already this year; in a previous incident, we were wrongly charged in June, and it was resolved.

After sending the email below to cancel my contract with you guys, which was intended to be done in September, I today received a debit order for R1063.53 ref [protected].
Before I think about hiring a lawyer, may this account just be resolved? I feel tormented by the incompetent staff members who don't have the customer's best interests at heart.

I have 4 contracts with Cell C and have been loyal for many years. I requested a refund as I had overpaid on the 2nd of December, I have been told to email a screenshot of my proof of payment which I did twice, they then did not call me to notify me that I need to send a bank statement, I called to follow up and was told it needs to be in pdf which I sent through twice. I called today and I'm now being told that I need to send to a different email address, this is now 2 weeks later for my own money which they can see reflects in my account but need proof. I'm soo done which cell c, you have lost a loyal customer. In the last year 2 of my contracts were worth R60 000, I will now do business elsewhere.
Yoh I'm soo shocked that they have marked this case as resolved. It's a lie! And just to think before I even lodged a complaint on this platform, I browsed through some complaints to check if issues have been resolved. How deceiving!

I'm still waiting... can anyone Herr offer any advice on my next step, I've been told to lodge a complaint with the telecommunications Ombudsman, is there anything else I can do to get my money back? Cell C has yet again shown no interest. They attempted to call me yesterday and I was in a meeting at around 4pm. They then sent an email asking for an alternate number, I responded and apologized for missing the call, I then requested an immediate call as I was now available, they replied with 'noted' and did not call back!

I did a claim last month at rosebank cell C store and I was help by a lady called malestasti as l have been waiting for a feedback on the 14th December I decided to contact cell C Insurance and they told me that the phone was never blacklisted but malestasti gave us a reference that I used to open a police case
So if I don't get the phone I'm cancelling my contract with cell c

I am writing this message with a huge frustration with cell c and your so called agents, I have been seeking assistance since beginning of 2022 but still nothing has be done about my requests and yet you guys are so quick to disconnect my services when payment is not done.
I have been requesting for a call back regarding my contract which is over charged and I am not being debited what I agreed on, for my first cell phone contract and a separate Sim card contract which I am charged over R800 but my initial contract was R399 and the Sim contract is R149 also there are services that I have tried to to cancel many times but your agents keep calling without a solution but promise to call back and never come back to me, I mean I have been paying my contract but the treatment you get from cell c after the product is sold is unmatched, I have cancel my insurance but I'm still being debited, I also cancelled this useless service called GET MORE but I am still being debited, what else am I supposed to do to get your attention and actually get my requests met? Maybe you guys can give me a clear answer as to what chanells should I go to

Request for cancellation - phone collected in 24 hours and Cell C refuses to cancel my contract since 24 November
Tele marketing call to offer me a data top up of 10 gigs and a new sim and and a phone a04s. Accepted the offer as it would only be 100 rand additonal cost. What was delivered was a new contract for 349 with a phone on the friday 18th nov. On 23 nov I called cell c and requested cancellation - given case number and reference number. Courrier was sent the next day to collect the unopened package. To date cell c refuses to cancel my contract and advise that they will now charge me per day billing costs. For what? An unopened package that was returned. Customer service consultant tells me today she has to start and investigation before she can cancel. New reference number for all [protected]. I have been trying to get my paid up letter from Cell C but I have been struggling, Since my account has been handed over to Shapiro- Shake and Associates. I made all payments requested from Shaprio-Shake and Associates which I finalized on the 20 of August 2022. I am still receiving statements of outstanding balances but Shapiro- Shake has provided me with a paid up statement which I have now.

SIM swop
I phoned in 2 Dec to do a SIM swop as my pH was stolen, the first call went through all the questions and lady said to call back as my OTP number was kicked out of system, now I had to call back , I call back and now apparently didn't answer a question correctly and now blocked? This is absolutely ridiculous, I'm paying a contract and can't use my pH , already inconvenced , this is of urgency and now must wait when the first time had nothing to do with me but your computer?

Cancellation of debit order
I recently cancelled my Cell C contract as I needed to move my contract to a Vodacom business contract with the new company I joined. Since canceling I have been debited an amount of R188. It seems strange that I was debited after a contract was cancelled. I called the Cell C contact centre on 084135. They were not able to help and I needed to call [protected] - this seems to be an external call centre. They were not able to help and effectively advise they could not give me a reference number, email or feedback on this. I am now complaining as I need an answer as to the following:
1. Why was an amount of R188 debited off my account despite my contract being cancelled
2. Confirmation in writing that there is no active debit order
Desired outcome: Feedback within 24-48 hours and reversal of R188 if incorrectly debited.

Please note on the 25th of September I lost my phone and I I have an insurance with King price as I have the vehicle insurance with them. So they need headset query to verify if the phone was in use. So called the call Centre and they is no one assisting me with my query. My insurance told me to visit the store and ask someone to help me and I went to the first store that is Phoenix Cell C and I was told that only the manager can be able to assist me with what I need of which she didn't even see me to attend to my query instead she ask for my id from a staff member. The document she gave me did not have the company logo/stamp for the company as a result the insurance company rejected the document and I visited the store in Gateway as I took the contract with them but still no assistance as well from there, a manager didn't even try she told the employee she can't help me. Is this the service you giving to your customers or the way you train your staff for customer service? Mind you I don't have a phone since September I'm being sent from pillar to post for a simple document to verify that my phone was being used at the time of the incident. I'm also dealing with customers and that not a way to treat a customer as far as I know if I have a complain someone needs to acknowledge me and attend to the complaint I have. I took out a contarct for my daughter 2 years ago, this Dec the contract will be expired. about 7 months ago this year I changed my banking details and advised Cell C about the changes, however they failed to update my details and this resulted in me having to make manual eft payments and sending them proof of payment. I have been doing this every month but somehow they still say that I owe them money and they have been randomly debiting my account and this has caused alot of unpaid debits which I have to pay. ur original date of debit was supposed to be the 28th of each month, so somehow now that my details have been updated they just debit me. every time I call they keep saying the accounts department must update itbut still they continue to debit
I am frustrated and want this resovled, because I will not be renewing this contract. cell c has disappointed me so much that I will not recommend them to anyone, because clearly no one knows what they doing

I took out a contract with Cellc and lost my job was unable to pay, I was handed over to their debt collectors, I started paying every month for two years R250.
My account was paid up in April 2022 which I received a statement with a nil amount owing.
I have contacted cellc and the debt collectors till today not one of these providers has sent me my paid-up letter:(
