After signing a petition, you are asked to "Chip in" with a contribution. If you can't or don't want to chip in, you can click "Can't contribute right now.".
A new window opens asking you to Share the petition. At the bottom is " Skip For Now"
When you tap "Skip For Now" you are frozen at that window and can't go anywhere nor log out nor look at other petitions or go back.
Desired outcome: Make it possible for a signer who does not not want to share to go back or log out or view other petitions. Being stick is unfair.
Change.org supports false accusations against others in petitions.
I found a petition which had numerous falsehoods about me and my business. I mentioned it to change.org and they refused to do anything about it. However, they eventually took my petition down without giving me a reason or any warning. I ended up losing thousands of dollars in property as a result of the libelous statements made in the petition they won't' take down and although their website mentions that one way to counter a petition which is offensive is to publish a rebuttal petition. However, I was denied that opportunity.
Also, any donations are pocketed by change.org. It's not like other sites in which you get most of it after the fee is taken out by the service hosting your fundraiser, campaign or petition.
Desired outcome: i filed suit against this company. None of the staff would speak to me to resolve the issue and just ignored my messages.
Petition: G7 Leaders: Expel Iran's Diplomats / Demand that Political Prisoners Be Freed
I've tried several times to sign this petition: G7 Leaders: Expel Iran's Diplomats / Demand that Political Prisoners Be Freed.
The site is asking me for £4, when I say I can't pay this (I don't understand why they're asking me for money), they ask me to share a link. I don't have any social media (I'm 65) except Tiktok so I copy the link but I can't share it.
The site will not complete my signature for this petition.
Is this extortion?
Are they trying to make money from the situation in Iran?
Desired outcome: I want them to explain why they're demanding money and to accept my signing of this petition.
Discrimination agianst me and my Legal & Lawful Petiton
Change.org is practicing unfair and unethical business tactics! They removed my petition without informing me or providing any reason. Change.org is apart of a cover up to violate US Code 1520a and is working with goverment agents to deny me my right to freedom of speech about un consented CHEMICAL TRAILS THAT ARE BEING SPRAYED ABOUT OUR HEADS! CHANGE.ORG IS USING Discrimination against me and my Legal & Lawful Petition!
Desired outcome: RESTORE MY PETITION IMMEDIATLY!
Donation charged in the wrong currency
I wanted to donate 25 Brazilian reals on 25/08/2020 to a cause to help Tourist Guides in Búzios, Brasil receive emergencial money and I was charged 25 BRITISH POUNDS, being 185 Brazilian reals.
This has completely ruined my week´s earnings. I haven´t even managed to earn that this week. I would never have donated such a lot of money.
Transaction ID is 77c15f611d7939.
This situation is completely ridiculous. I don´t earn much and the 25 reals was already a generous offer.
I live in Brazil, work in Brazil, earn in reals and was using a Brazilian credit card. There was absolutely no reason to charge me in pounds.
I want all of my money returned to me and my name taken off the petition.
Thanks,
Alexander Reddaway, Rio de Janeiro
sanditon petition
I am an admin for the Sanditon Sisterhood campaigning for Sanditon season 2 on TV. I am very concerned about the petition started by Isabel King on your website as she is not part of our group. Fans have complained about the fact that they did not realise that a subscription they are being asked for, is NOT going to our fund at all. We have a gofundme campaign. Also, supporters are being encouraged to use multiple email addresses to sign the petition which is artificially inflating the number of genuine supporters.
It is clear that the petition is encouraging fraud, knowingly or unknowingly, which will damage our good reputation and also is using the platform to encourage fans to part with funds which they believed were meant to be for the Gofundme Campaign.
We would be grateful if the petition and the creator, Isabel King, could be investigated as we have not authorised non members of our group to start any of the Sanditon petitions for the above reasons, and for the peitions to be removed from your website.
Thank you...the supporter details were updated and all other issues resolved. Change.org did a great job . The sanditon sisterhood is happy with the petition as issues have been clarified.

I received a $20.00 charge to my Citi Credit Card on 12/8/19. Please tell me what this is for as I do not recall giving my credit card not do I have a receipt of my doing so from your company.

I do not recognize the charge of $5.00 made on 1/20/2020. I have reported this as a fraud and you will not be able to charge this any longer. I tried to call the telephone # listed on the charge and got a recording. The credit card account has been cancelled. There will be no more charges from you on this card.
payment cancellation
change.org makes it impossible to cancel a subscription. Since May, I have been trying to cancel my subscription. I've requested countless times to reset my password so I can log in and never receive the reset email. There is no phone number to be found. My next step is reporting change.org to my bank as fraud and having to change account numbers. Unfortunate.
I have cancelled my contributions to Change.org by their advised route.
However nothing has happened and they are still taking monthly amounts from both me current account and my credit card.
Please, can anybody advise of a successful route by which they have achieved cancellation?

taking money out of my account
Why did you take money out of my account without my permission? I expect a refund as quickly as it was taken out! I am outraged! I have not donated anything to you! I've done my research and you are far from a nonprofit organization! You prey on good hearted people that work hard for their money, by making them believe they are giving money to a good cause, when infact you are nothing more than scam artists!
My name is Andrena Adam 6D Macewan Place Kilmarnock my account number is [protected] my sortcode is80-47-61 this message is about signing a petition and how much they took out of my account for signing it i want to stop all petitions if its going to cost me iam struggling at the moment through the cost of living crisis so i cant afford any more donations so could you cancel my donations
I have had the same experience. I thought I was donating to a specific Animal charity near me since that is how the Face Book advert portrayed it. Instead I was duped. I paid $100 on the change.org site I reached and when I discovered my "donation" was not going to animals I immediately tried to take the $100 back but instead I was charged $100 plus $25.00 and, alarmingly, ten days later change.org took another $25.00 from my account. I contacted change.org and have been promised a refund of $50 along with the deletion of my account. Nonetheless I have unwittingly donated to a multi million dollar scam.

This is the second time that you guys have withdrew money outta my account without my authorization. Now I will dispute the charges again & I will be closing my account. Who the hell do you think you people are. I work to hard to just have people take it from me. I also will be talking to a Lawyer about identy theft. I have never given you any permission to withdrawer money out of my account so you did it illegally. Plan on getting a email from my lawyer seen as how very convidentianly we can not reach you by phone. You guys are nothing but a bunch of [censored], I am just sick about how you did this to me again. Well this time you will pay dearly.
Do you get a refund? How did you contact them? They've charged me too.
unethical behaviour
change.org allows to sign a petition a few times. It collects multiple votes from one person for each petition this person signs. The website dosn't recognised multiple votes. And I think it is not bad programming but scam. You can't remove or modify you newsletters. You get again and again an invitation for signing the petitions you already signed. IT IS SCAM!
Never, ever, ever sign a change.org petition
Never, ever, ever sign a change.org petition. The next thing you know, you're getting stacks of their spam, and there's no way to unsubscribe. The "unsubscribe" link only goes to a sign-up page, and there's no way to contact the organization. The "contact" link is also a dummy. All you get is a list of FAQ's that take you in a circle. In short, it's a swindle.
I tried to make a donate through change.orp or 20 dollars. They took 200 bucks. I have emailed them four times and have gotten no response what so ever. Ii am warning all my friends and family about this.
Change.org allows registering minors under 12 to post anything about anyone violating the rights of others. This kind of sites should prohibit access to minors whose doesn’t know about law.
Change.org allows individuals and businesses to be harassed, slandered and threatened without investigating proof or legitimacy of users' petitions. Change.org also refuses to remove petitions that violate their own Code of Conduct.
Avoid at any cost guys
I just found out this is a private "for profit" site. It appears that many of their so-called victims are professionals. What brought this to my attention was a supposed victim of the actions of Wells Fargo here in Oakland. A quick online search showed the "victim" was a "professional" borrower and not a victim. That made me delve more deeply into this web site. Not sure where the site got my email.
in very small print on a page that is hard to find, it states that all donations made to your cause stated in your petition is pocketed 100% by change.org. They say that they use it for your cause, but I highly doubt that, especially since they don't specify howe that is done. IMO, this is fraud.
This site actually stole money from my account. Hundreds of pounds. Question is how on earth they got my bank details without me giving it.

Although Change.org purports to advocate positive change it should make an effort to at least get the facts straight when it posts a petition. They posted a petition about a mother being charged with vehicular homicide in the death of her child which occurred while she was crossing a dark road outside of the crosswalk with several children. A person hit...
