On Nov 20, 2009 my wife inadvertently wrote a chek on an account that we don't use and only keep minimal funds in. A few weeks later I received a statement from the bank saying a check was returned and was charged by the bank a $30.00 fee. The check was redeposited before I could get funds into the account and thus charged another fee. At this point the payee sent this to Check redi who sent me a letter staing that I needed to pay $55.oo ($25.00 fee + $30.00 amount of check ) which I had mailed to them. Next thing I know Check redi redeposited check again which I had the funds to cover but also attempted to get the $25.00 fee which I never authorized them to take out of my account. My question is that I want to know if this is legal and can I recoup the additional fee my bank charged as I did not have funds to cover the $25.00 fee that Check Redi attempted to take from my account without my knowledge or approval?
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
The same problems with my account too I would like to know if this is legal also as they ran my OD fees to 260.00
THAT HAPPEN TO MY TO WITT BANK OF AMERICA THEY TAKE 6.50 AND THEN 25.00 Check Redi attempted to take from my account without my knowledge Or approval. The bank has to investigate but is not legate to$25.00 fee wen you doth authorized
We had the same problem with them they are still calling and saying we still owe them fees whic the bank has already paid
These people are fraudulent! They claim that they are not a debt collector so they do not have to abide by the federal laws for debt collection, they collect NSF checks for plans like Cumberland Farms and they speak as if they are one with the company that provides the services but they are a separate entity entirely! They have charged my account (for two separate transactions) 6 times in a week ALONE!
I had $20 taken from my account that was not authorized and don’t owe anything. It was taken from me September 1,2023 from my Kikoff account.
