They have been calling me for the last several months and have gotten nowhere. These idiots always want me to give them information when they should have it and I pay every bill app to the last time that I have in my name. I check my credit consistently. So there's no way, and they should keep calling me. They're just a bunch of scammers trying to get over on innocent. People and I think anybody who has a problem with them should report them. These idiots need to get stopped!
Desired outcome: Take them out!
Furniture services provided in St. Cloud, MN
We were contacted by Chad Kowitz from your Midland Credit Management location at 16 McLeland Rd, Suite 101, St. Cloud, MN to do some office furniture tear down. Our cost was $2,877.88 and billed on our Inv #100247 on 11/07/2022. I cannot get a hold of anyone there and your phone system keeps hanging up on me, nor will your "chat" option online work. Who can...

Company filed a lawsuit against me during a global pandemic and won because I could not show up to court because I had a premature baby and we both almost died in the process. My son had a heart murmur, eyes issues and neurologist appts until he was 3 years. Now my paycheck is being garnish for credit card i did not incur. I informed the company that i was a victim of identity theft but they did not accept my response. There is no signature on any of the suppose validation of debt and I’m not understanding how the judge was ok signing that judgement.
Desired outcome: Garnishment to stop. I am a single mother and can’t afford to pay my mortgage anymore because of it and the company doesn’t want to work with me.

credit card payments,
2018 I open a credit card with a company, and had used the card for everyday expenses, due my hours being cut and the economy on the downward trend, I could not afford my payments, after a while I was contacted by Midland Credit Management, and had setup payment options, I was paying the set amount each month, I informed them that I would be sending 4 money orders for 4 months, so that as being on a fixed income, I would not have to worry about the amount, and could be a little more, later on, they applied the 4 payments for one month, and sent me another letter, stating where are the payments for the next month, by this time I was told that my payments arrangements where null and void, I called them and told them that due to a family emergency, I could no longer make the payments, and was told that I did not need to make the payments and would have a grace period, and not to worry about it, I received a letter today stating that if I did not have the whole amount on my card paid, it would go to an attorney, so much for empty promises
Wage garnishment,Not helpful people!!
My wages are being garnished at the same time it's taking about 2 weeks to post to my account and within that time interest is accumalating and every time I call they give the same runaround saying we haven't received anything thing and we can take care of this now with a debit or credit card and anything sent to us from your employer will be refunded! When? Two,3 weeks later or longer but at the same time interest will continue to build so they get more money then what my debt actually was,it just seems to sketchy they're all about pay pay but let's not see what we can do for you,not right at all!
Service unwilling to work with offer
I have Three debts with midland, I am on the verge of filing bankruptcy. The first account I tried to negotiate, I offered half the total bill which I thought was fair considering, as a said I am about to have to file bankruptcy. I would think they would be willing to work with me verses bankruptcy? I was willing to pay with my debit card today on the first account and then hopefully make arrangements for resolving the other two. When my offer was rejected, I was then told to have my lawyer contact them when I did file for bankruptcy!

Desired outcome: Work with me on reasonable offer
I order a belt and a purse from the company
I'm very disappointed MCM this company is not a good company to do business with at all I placed my order on November 11, 2021 for my daughters birthday, I placed the order online but the color that I picked which was the gold I didn't get the gold I got the black so I had to returned it I called them back just to change the color they couldn't even do that so I had to wait until I received the belt just to return it I've been returned it may be a month now and still no refund . File 17-323053
Would like to resume communication with Midland creditor to receive information on file 17-323053 this was a fraudulent account that was opened up in my name would like to have more information on this account and and validation that it was paid off I would also like to keep fraud alert active
an attempt to collect on a debt that is not mine, but fraudulent
I have tried on numerous of occasions to first, find out what debt this is; secondly, educated to them that this was caused by Identity theft. I have produced countless letters from the Bank itself as well I mine, to include a claims submission in the regards of " Midland Credit Managemnt, Inc Telephone Consumer Protection Act Litigation Settlement.
I was robbed at a gas station in Blue Mtn, KY (police report was filed) in 2007. From there, my banks accts were taken and numerous of accts and credit cards were opened in my name. All were dismissed, closed and fraud alerted; except this. I have proved time and time again that this is a fraudulent account. I was divorced in 2004, and closed every credit card down that me and my spouse had as well as any joint accts. I bank with one bank and have been since my return to the US in Jan of 2003. This company and Messerli have REFUSED to tell me what this is, (either an acct opened or a credit card) REFUSED to provide documents, but only have said this is a Bank of America deal. I have called Bank of America and have letters stating I have NEVER had an account or credit cards through them. They have SENT letters to me as well as to Midland Funding, LLC and Messerli. They BOTH say they have never recieved. Last year, they literally garnished my bank acct, and my daughter's, I had to fight to get that back as I am a single parent, and that had funds for rent, bills and food, (see Claim of Exemption letter). I have resent NOTARIZED papers they have sent me regarding the fraud acct, as well as the letters from the bank. They are now trying again to garnish my pay on something that IS NOT MINE, never was.
This is harrassement, added stress, has my job in jeopardy, these are the points that red flag this:
The second page that has the notary signature says "that judgment has been entered".
-Has a court judgment been made?
-South Dakota Codified Law 21-18-3.1 states that "Garnishment prohibited before judgment. Garnishment prior to obtaining final judgment in the principal action is prohibited."
-The document has a Court File No. however there is no indication that the document has been filed with a court (such as a clerk of court signature)
This is a list of all the facts of my case:
-Victim of ID Theft
-Have filed an ID Theft Affidavit with Midland
-Filed a claim of exemption
-Past actions have been released
-Unaware of a judgment
-Attempting to Garnish without a judgment
-past the statute of limitiations

Teresa witiak, 5225 yellow Finch way, Gosport Indiana 47533. She pays $1 month to Midland and is not even current. She just pd $2100 in back lake Hollybrook HOA fees yesterday. She had a court date in December. 2018 with the HOA so she just pd it. She pleads poverty, doesn't pay, and usually nothing happens. I just wanted Midland to know she is getting the best of her.

called me threatening me to send officer to my house and work. a $1200 debt they said it would be over $ 3000
They are harressling me by phone calling everyday, threatening to send officer to my house and job, saying a $1200 debt will cost me over $ 3000. I had been out of work, went thru Hurricane Harvey, was homeless and have had two surgeries this year, I have no money takes every penny to survive. I am a 70 year old widow just trying to get by and support s disabled son. Please stop them from harassing me, and others like me. They buy out debts and the harass people.
They claimed I owe almost $400 more than I owe.
I originally had an account with Sears/Citibank. In 2012, just before I lost everything and became homeless, I addressed a letter to my creditors explaining my financial dilemma and basically asking them to cancel credit cards. I had not used the card since October 2011. Although I was unemployed and had no income, I tried endlessly to work out an affordable payment plan and make payments. They always thought I could make greater payments.
Recently, I was sued by Midland, and in court the attorney who represented Midland stated that interest continued to accumulate, although I had asked that the account be closed in May 2012. The Midland attorney alleged that the account was not closed until 2014; two full years after I had asked them to close the account. I fought to have the interest removed, because they did not respect/grant my wishes. The Midland attorney stated that they did not have to respect or grant my wishes.
Unethical behavior
As agreed upon in county court, I have been maintaining my payment arrangement with Midland Credit Management since July 2014 - with one exception. In October 2015 Midland sent me a final judgment for all the remaining money owed. I had no idea why. As far as I knew payments were being automatically withdrawn from my checking account each month per my arrangement with them at the end of every month.
The problem: Through no fault of my own, Midland did not receive my September 2015 $25 payment. After many many stressful phone calls, Midland finally told me that they had changed something in their computer system, and in doing so, my automatic payment information had not been entered.
Midland corrected the problem and my automatic payments resumed in October 2015 - continuing to date. Midland did agree that this was not my fault. I asked that they correct whatever paperwork they had sent to the
Boulder County Court re Case #2014C31299, their filing for a final judgment.
The last thing I heard was that Midland was going to have their Colorado lawyers call me and talk to me about this problem --- they never said to correct it, just talk, but at this point I was so relieved that I had finally gotten them to admit that it was their fault, I never thought they would be so ugly as to not remove the judgment. Dummy me - I chose to trust them and assume that they would do the right thing. I am a senior and I am not well --all the many many phone calls, over so many days, the frustration, disappointment, anger, helplessness was so very upsetting to me that my family called my doctor.
Midland's lawyer never called, and I mistakenly did not follow up on this to see if they had done the right thing. A few hours ago I just happened to look at my Experian Credit Report and was shocked to see that this judgment had never been removed - and thus, that Midland had not corrected or cleared my credit report of any error or wrongdoing on my part.
Not knowing this, on July 5, 2016 I sent the court and Midland a letter, requesting reconsideration of our arrangement due to my age, poor health and poverty level retirement income. I did explain in that letter how Midland has/had been treating me -- even saying what I am saying now, that I was "fearful Midland might have overlooked expunging those default judgment documents -- "and that I had never heard from their lawyer, though having been reassured he would call.
I wrote the court asking for help because no way do I expect any help from Midland -- and I cannot afford a lawyer.
Stop your mistreatment of people, especially seniors, who are really trying and do care about doing the right thing.

Poor Service
So I'm trying to get payment demand statements, or a bill from this place to re-fi. For some reason they are incapable of faxing this paper or e-mailing. What the heck? It's the 21st century and this company will harass you, call you during work, call you anytime and aren't always nice, . But when you try to get them paid off, it'll take a week to 10 days? LAME
Lien release not processed to courts
The account for Midland Funding/Citibank was paid off thru Midland Credit Management, the item was dated 02/16/2007, Docket # 82D03-0612-CC5323, in Evansville, IN 47708, [protected]. The account has been verified as paid, thru the credit bureaus & repositories, but no lien release has been sent to the court. A lien release must be sent to the court, & be verified with my attorney Charles Murphy, Terra Title, LLC office # [protected].
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
I got this letter Friday stating a judgment was made against Barbara Sankey owe 9.929.03 I disagree with this and I will call the office and try to get this taken care of ..please send me a email. with a name of some one I can speak to, ,
Fail to settle
I do have a debit that I owe but every time I try to settle with them they don't want what I have to offer. Right now I am a victim of the Sandy storm hurricane and I explain that to them but I am still willing to pay even though I am now in a shelter. They just don't care and still don't want to settle. I guess I'll just wait for the six years to pass by and they'll received nothing for being so selfish.
Unfortunately, the Midland attorney told me that Midland does not care about my "homeless unemployed, no income" situation. He said they want their money. Again, which is over $400 more than I owe!
Mail checks or Money orders. All mails should be CMRRR.
Google these and become an informed consumer
1-what to do when you are contacted by a collections agency.
2-your rights under federal laws FDCPA and FCRA
3-Validation of debt (VOD), cease and desist (C&D), CMRRR
4-Your state's Statute of Limitations (SOL) on debt.
5-post your questions at debtorboards dot com if things get thick
That's good. Next time they call tell them you are paying others and they will be last after you pay two others who agreed to your offer. So they will have to wait until you get to them.
If they call too often than you like C&D them that you will communicate with them about this debt once a month by mail ONLY (or whatever you prefer, however frequency you like).
When you get ready for them, offer a less than a third of what's owed. You goal is to settle for a third only and nothing more.
Then tell them to send you a letter confirming your deal. No letter no cash from you. Don't pay anything without that letter - it's called settlement offer.
Last mail checks only. Do not give them electronic access to your account no matter what they say. You control this process.
Invalid Debt Collection
DO NOT PAY UNTIL DEBT HAS BEEN VALIDATED! My boyfriend received a letter from this company for a service he never had. We contacted the cellphone provider and they could not find him anywhere in their systems. They could find MY old account which was closed and sold to a collection agency in 2007. Request verification of debt from this company, if they cannot verify, send a certified cease and desist letter.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
So really they just a scam and then take cases to circuit court lying like they put a summon in yo hand
"They could find MY old account which was closed and sold to a collection agency in 2007"
did you pay that off?
This company is one of the worst bottom feeders
This company is one of the worst bottom feeders. They have harrassed me on several accts. They have sued me and thru careful research I was able to get the lawsuit dismissed. There are step by step instructions on several web sites on how to fight this company and win. Now they called me again this morning threatening to take everything I own, threatening to seize my bank accts, and just belligerant and aggressive as hell. I recently sent them a " Debt Validation Notice" which I am sure they will ignore. I have kept copies of all the things i did to beat them in the 1st lawsuit and will do it all over again if necessary. You can beat them just like I have!
This Company should have never gotten one red penny with a hole in it from you! File a complaint with the FTC, Collections Companies can Not! Continue to contact you once you have disputed the debt! They have to provide you with a Debt Validation from the ORIGIONAL CREDITOR, THIS IS LAW! And it is Harassment. If they continue to call and threatened you, you are entitled to compensation, turn the table on them, also When you correspond with these Yahoos, Always do so by Fax, if they have a Fax Number and Certified Mail it is well worth it plus it gives you a paper trail if you pursue compensation...Good Luck...it can be done speaking from experience.
Can't verify collection account
Midland is trying to collect an account that is not mine and is over 7 years old. The account number is [protected] They cannot verify this account because it is an illegal attempt to collect a debt. They have not verified the account, but persevere in reporting false information on my credit report.
Midland credit Management has taken there time in processing a judgement that I need to pay off. Its been 3 weeks and still they are moving slow I can't pay off my bill because it takes weeks to process and up date there computers. This is the worst company I have ever dealt with. You can't email you have to wait for a long time just to pay a bill. I wish it wouldn't be so slow!
babe, if they serve you, sue u in court, make sure you answer the complaint and show up in court. don't admit anything. they have to prove it's your debt. if u believe it passed SOL, state it in the answer.
how did you ask them to verify the debt? By phone or by mail? It has to be by certified mail, so you have proof they received it. Also definitely dispute it with whatever credit bureau they are reporting it on. If it is disputed it will be investigated and they have to verify it is correct with them and if they can't it can be removed.
