I keep getting calls from someone who says they're the boss of Chicago Municipal Credit Union, asking for someone I don't know
I keep getting calls from someone who says they're the boss of Chicago Municipal Credit Union, asking for someone I don't know. I keep telling them I don't know who that is, and that I've had this phone number for a long time. I've asked them to stop calling me, but they keep doing it and leaving messages. I've asked them so many times to stop, but they keep calling and filling up my voicemail. They won't take my number off their list and say they can't do anything about their system calling me.
I was with this company for less than 6 months before refinancing to a different credit union for my auto loan
I was with this company for less than 6 months before refinancing to a different credit union for my auto loan. In that short time, they tried to charge me twice for delinquency, which was a mistake. I always pay in full and in advance, but they couldn't handle the terms (just principal amount and due date) for a simple auto loan. Their "trained professionals" couldn't even explain simple details about my account or loan activity, like payment dates, settlement dates, and processing times. If you had auto-pay enabled, you would have lost more than $700 in this situation. If this credit union can't handle simple loan terms, they shouldn't be allowed to lend money to the public.
Been a City of Chicago Employee for 25yrs & member of this credit union for 15yrs
Been a City of Chicago Employee for 25yrs & member of this credit union for 15yrs. I took out 2 loans & paid them back through payroll deductions. I owe $2200 on an $8000 loan from 2019. Wanted to borrow $15000 for personal expenses but underwriter said only $5000 minus current loan balance, so $3200 to pay. Credit score was 677 & wife's was 698. Seems like credit union didn't want to lend to us because of decent credit score. I increased payroll deduction by $100 per pay period but still no luck. This credit union seems like predatory lending. Re-evaluating whether to keep my money there or not.

I'm tryna cancel my account with them, but they ain't pickin' up the phone, ain't respondin' to emails, and ain't callin' me back. Their business is straight up terrible. They don't know how to handle accounts payable or receivable. I send in payments and they don't even post 'em. They're messin' up my credit score.
I rode a form to CMECU to stop taking out 50 bucks from my paycheck every pay period and put it in a savings account
I rode a form to CMECU to stop taking out 50 bucks from my paycheck every pay period and put it in a savings account. The peeps at the bank said they can't stop it and only my boss at City Colleges of Chicago can. But CCC said they didn't start it and the bank gotta stop it. I filled out the forms twice at CMECU but nothing happened. I just want it to stop.
I used their call back phone service and the bank rep called me back 5 mins before they closed and said she'd call me back in the morning
I used their call back phone service and the bank rep called me back 5 mins before they closed and said she'd call me back in the morning. It was the day before Thanksgiving. I never got that call and had to call back the next week. I contacted CMECU about closing my account cuz of the high fees and bad customer service. I hadn't decided to close my account or stop my direct deposits from my employer, but my direct deposits were stopped without me knowing. They said I could ask for a one-time fee reversal and to send the request via email provided, but I haven't heard back in over a week. This is always a problem with their customer service and waiting for hours to get a phone call.
