I was in a weekly membership at Club Lime and then stopped using Club Lime service since August 2023. I chose to pay my membership by week, despite that it would be cheaper to do it by month/year, because it promises greater flexibility. Yet it was only an illusion that Club Lime used to rip off its customers. When you want to exercise your right to terminate your weekly membership plan, you would find an absurd 4 week notice is required by Club Lime. Then in which way this is a weekly plan? It turns out absolutely a monthly plan disguised as a weekly one to charge a higher prices. What's more, even with the 4 week notice the cancellation has to be through an application that requires extra time to be processed. At Club Lime, the customer lost their right to make consumption decision freely at the moment they start the membership.
Even worse, unlike a monthly membership at Ubereats or Spotify membership, where if you pay for a month you get to enjoy the service for a month, at Club Lime, they stopped offering customer access to gym gate as soon as there is a balance in the account, yet they do not cancel one's membership in order to quietly double and triple exponentially the balance WITHOUT giving any services. The is how they charged me 300 Australian dollars without giving me access to gym over the last 6 months while I am not even in Australia. And cases like this happen at Club Lime everyday, I request them to change their policies and stop grabbing money from customers.
