I'm working for Cognizant Technology Solutions for the past 6 months. I'm handling a client called Orbitz. I'm reporting to a Manager called Deivasigamani. Last week I got a offer from Samsung India Limited. In Samsung I will be getting twice the pay of what I'm getting in Cognizant Technology Solutions. They offered me last week and asked me to join June 15th since there is a training for freshers which is commencing on the same day. But Cognizant Technology Solutions was not ready to relieve me from my duties and also they are not even ready to accept my notice pay as well. I was under a complete mental tension and stressed because of these act of my Manager. During my last 6 months of experience I had a very bad experience with my Manager Deivasigamani who was earlier working with some educational institution. He treat his team members like his students and to get a promotion we need to work like bonded labor as well as we need to be there in office all the days even Saturday and Sunday to take care of all his jobs etc. He himself admitted in front of everybody unless until if we are not satisfying him we don't get promotions or good rating in appraisal. Which leads to lot of resignations in Cognizant Orbitz team. And in India Cognizant Bangalore is having the highest rate of attrition rate due to these kind of managers. If you ask for any favor you can hear if you are not happy please resign apart from these line probably you won't hear anything. I heard our COO Francisco D'Souza is also aware of this issue and couldn't do anything about this managers. So who ever joining Cognizant Bangalore please be aware of this crap managers.

I have experience working in 4 famous IT companies .. It is not all about the indidui

few projects were hectic and maangers accpeted they can't do anything to overcome ...
few are ok.. i realy enjoyed with the team & great talking with manager ...
few are very good and allows me to spent time with my family ...I have experience working in 4 famous IT companies…

Problem is not with the individual managers..
It is all about the project you work and pressure, heat given by clients/onsite counterparts …

Few projects were tough and it requires 12+ hours effort a day.. Thrice I sat 48 hours in office continuously to deliver a major release.. Manager has nothing to do with that and he is helpless, as we promised code delivery to client..

Few were hectic and managers accepted that they can't do anything to overcome...

Few were ok.. i really enjoyed with the team & great talking with manager ...

Few were very good and project allows me to spent time with my family, my teammates, my leads …

It depends... But I accept few managers are there who wait for time to catch hold of you!
Just ignore them, if you can’t please put paper and go for other company; At least that makes you to come out of future problem and carrier growth.

3 of my friends are hospitalized & treated for depression because of their managers… i know they have problem with their leads; but my thought would be leave all your manager comments in office itself, don’t take that personally. Office is just for earning, it is not our soul.

Better we will change our self to the chapter we live...

Be happy and stay happy … you have fresh life outside office …

Better we will change ourself to the chapter we live ... Nothing going to happen

Hello guys!
First of all its not the company which is worst..Its all about the kiddish Managers who behave soo stupid and they don't even care about people..Believe me.Cognizant is a very good and fantastic company to work with..Its all about the managers sitting there and dominating the process..In some process including mine, managers and team leaders are biased towards girls.I donnow how did they become managers without being an agent..They all would've been an agent and grew up as a manager..But after all what Mr.FRANK can do about this? He cant come and see physically what managers are doing? Its their superiors who has to take actions..but unfortunately, they themselves are kind of this..

Cognizant has taken a lot of freshers and they also provided training to these people but most of them are placed in bench. There are no sufficient projects to allocate these people. They are simply making those freshers to sit at home or using as buffers that is they take the maximum work from them but the credits go to the senior person. I am really woried about these freshers. Cognizant is ruining their time and career

Ha Ha Ha,

Welcome to Tamilnadu IT company. Brahmin run IT companies, you can find the following -

1. All PM and above are Brahmin. They will never let you become PM or get into Management
1.5. Brahmin Managers will never do any work..they will push all their work to you.
2. They will scare, Bully and put rules-regulations to scare you and get work done
3. If you work for many year then they have to give more salary, so they find some way of getting rid of you once you become too expensive to maintain.
4. All appraisals and reviews are fake - No matter how hard you work, you will never get proper pay or promotion
5. They try to run projects with Freshers as Freshers are cheapest resources and big chunk of money goes into Brahmin Pocket
6. They will give trivial incentives like Awards and Medals (but NO MONEY) or some flimsy gadget to recognize your effort
7. They Never spend too much on your training or skills
8. While your Brahmin Manager leaves sharp at 6pm, you are forced to slog your ### off till late into the night
9. You are always blamed for mistakes or blunders of Brahmin Managers
10. Brahmin PM/PLs are secretly given cash bonuses and incentives and YOU NEVER GET TO KNOW THIS

In short you are being utilized and used like a slave...with only bits thrown at you to survive...you are slowly bled...and in 10-12 years
YOU BECOME A TOTALLY USELESS PERSON IN IT INDUSTRY.

So my advice is to join Multi-national companies that pay 2-3 times more of what these BRAHMIN run companies pay
and make sure that you have a good plan in place for self-development and career development. NEVER DEPEND ON
ANY COMPANY FOR YOUR GROWTH OR DEVELOPMENT. God helps those who help themselves.

I wasted 5 years working for these brahmin companies..last salary i got in Brahmin company was 6 Lacs, i ditched these Indian Brahmin
companies, now i work as an independent consultant for an American MNC, i make 24 Lacs now...in 2 years since i left my
earnings have grown 400%

Be wise stop slaving it for Brahmin run companies...work for companies that pay the best rate for your skills!

Cognizant is really a blood sucking company. Manager does not care about client appreciations and excellence at the assigned duties. The Tamil Brahmin manager is so cunning and I don't know how these guys learn this much cunningness. They favor Tamil guys ( after Tamil guys, the prefer Tamil speaking guys ) at promotion time even though they don't work well. My advice to young and aspiring guys that not to waste your precious time in this kind of junk company. Build your dreams elsewhere. Before joining Cognizant, I worked in a very good company and I still cherish my good memories of that company. I am repenting now on my decision of leaving my past company, just for raise in salary and not inquiring about the Cognizant's work culture. In Cognizant, my manager does not regard my experience, my track record, appreciation from the client etc. He just disregards all the good things and shouts at me for not coming to office to work on weekend (I worked on many weekends, but he ignores that and shouts at me if I miss a weekend because of some personal cause). Also remember that I won't be paid for the weekend's effort and the manager tells that I can take comp-off. But when it comes to really taking the comp-off, the manager says dozen reasons why he cannot give comp-off. I really hate Cognizant and looking for an opportunity to kick the ### of Cognizant (especially my crook Tamil Brahmin manager). I thank God for teaching a good lesson that not only look for salary and also inquire abt work culture before joining a company.

Joined as a Graduate in Continental Europe. A lot of promises are being made, you can switch roles and get experience in multiple domains and areas. Nothing of this is true, as soon as you join you are expected to bill the client as much as possible and that's it. As soon as you start to complain they will intimidate you with all kinds of stuff, the most famous one is sending you back to India. To anyone who is looking for a starter job in IT, please ignore Cognizant Technology Solutions, if you do join them you will regret it. Managers force you to do lots of things and if you don't you can forget about your promotion. Don't join this company, it's the worst in the industry. Regards, Mario

Yes. I too agree. Cognizant is worst. I was there more than 8 years. They never do any normalization in the company. if you get any salary while joining after 5 years you may get 10 to 15% hike thatsall. Such a cheat company. Don't join there

Upper management screwed everyone this year. Worst pay increases ever, and yet our stock is at all time high? Why, we only made our margins by squeezing our people out of hard earned increases. Time to jump off this sinking ship. Of course this didn't deter Frank from dumping a ton of stock the day before the blackout.

What's next? Probably a massive workforce reduction. Lizzy Gordon is sharpening his axe.

Exit test for new joiners is really a ducking one ... Why to take people in bulk just for numbers and torture them from the day of entry with exit test and leave them off ... This exit test in this idiotic company should really be condemed. Filter people during interview itself . Select handful of people required for projects ... So that they have a chance to try in other companies even ...

They let people work like Slaves. Account managers attitude is like that you can't do anything unless you have good account Manager but there are very few account managers who have the professionalism and confident to negotiate with the clients. They just throw people not solution and they know they can throw as much as people they wanted to the clients. And concentrating on level 1 support not more than that so no tech growth for you. Stay away not good for your career and personal, If you stay long you will be spoiled and you will start treating your team like ### and make them work 16 hours. Also lots of young managers who doesn't know how to manage or negotiate with the client and with the people who are working for them. They don't know what is win win. They agree everything with the client and make the teams life hell. I bet if the company do the reality check they will find many of their Managers are inefficient - yes they can deliver for short term but long term you can't win any new project. I have a friend who is a Manager still works for them feels the same way and wanted to change and trying.

I am sure anyone disagree- they may be level 1 and they will realize when they grown up. Or someone who became non tech manager from technical who doesn't have the confident to go out and survive.

I do not agree with the slanderous post of 19th of May, 2010 by A D G, HR in cognizant had been an inspiration. Mr. Nilangshu Ghosal HR Cognizant is a gentleman and he had immensely helped me when I left the company in March 2015. I left due to personal reason, but worked for 6 years and I am grateful to the company

Some people are just commenting like haters. Cognizant is a good company to work for. I have been working here for over 15 years & I have seen all the good that the company has done for its employees. If you are good at what you do then you will excel in every company. Also, if some people are not happy working for a company then they should leave & not sulk. The reason they sulk is because they can’t find better jobs than what they currently have.
Be appreciative for what you have, do your job with commitment & success will follow. Good luck.

I have observed many vehicles on road without emission test done, but I dont have all vehicle details to complain about.
They emit too much smoke causing air pollution.

one vehicle for which I could observe too much emission:
KSRTC CORONA (KA 19 F 3358).

Please do check.

Hello,

I resigned Cognizant (Portugal) and my last working day was December 24, 2022. I was able to complete my clearance on December 29, 2022 but still not received my final pay. I've been constantly sending emails since January 1, 2023 for status follow-up but did not received any response from the Final Pay Team.
