PC Warranty
I purchased a computer with CPS, it stopped working, they tell me to bring the computer into a repair store, I get an estimate, and they see the price of the estimate and now want to save money by changing their policy to all of a sudden cover international shipping so I can send the PC across the continent so they save money.
I lose 2 months of work because of shipping across the continent. I waste 1 month of them running around trying to figure out how to save the money. 3 months of missing out on pay because of this.
Complaint
I just want everyone to know what they are getting into when they purchase this warranty.
You have to call & wait around 10 minutes or wait till they call you back to speak to someone.
Then after being on the phone for quite a while & having to listen to this mombo jombo that basically covers them from being sued you are told that you will be contacted within 1-3 days by someone to repair your appliance. Well, call me stupid but we all need our appliances repaired yesterday so now we have to sit & wait for someone to contact us & have availability. And the days keep passing by.
I think everyone that sells this warranty service needs to explain how the process works. NOONE told me.
I regret purchasing this warranty every single day.
It would be much faster & easier for me to call someone to fix it.
DO NOT
BUY EXTENDED WARRANTIES.
Warranty for headphones
I purchased a 5 year warranty on my headphones from CPS. I dutifully logged my purchase in the CPS website immediately after purchase, providing all the information they required, including purchase date and serial number. When the headphones failed three years later, I requested a refund, but was informed that because I didn't have the original receipt, I couldn't receive a refund, even though I had logged the product in their portal.
Desired outcome: Full refund of 149.99.

We looked up Consumer Priority Service and found that the website is receiving a high amount of traffic. This could be a sign of a popular and trustworthy website, but it is still important to exercise caution and verify the legitimacy of the site before sharing any personal or financial information
However ComplaintsBoard has detected that:
- While Consumer Priority Service has a high level of trust, our investigation has revealed that the company's complaint resolution process is inadequate and ineffective. As a result, only 14% of 7 complaints are resolved. The support team may have poor customer service skills, lack of training, or not be well-equipped to handle customer complaints.
- Consumer Priority Service protects their ownership data, a common and legal practice. However, from our perspective, this lack of transparency can impede trust and accountability, which are essential for establishing a credible and respected business entity.
Oven Warranty
A claim was filed to repair a broken oven which was covered under warranty. CPS could not get the parts, so instead of covering the cost of a new appliance they dragged the claim out for a year and a half until the warranty ran out. Now they say that they would have refunded me the cost that I paid for the warranty. But since that is now no longer in effect, they are inviting me to purchase more "warranty" on the same broken oven! In other words, my warranty was no warranty. Beware of scam.
Desired outcome: The desired outcome would have been for the company to obtain the parts to fix the oven or cover the cost of a new one.
Cell Phone Warranty
Hey all, was hoping I could give my own two cents about my interaction with CPS Central - Consumer Priority Service.
If y'all aren't familiar, they sell "Warranty" products and withhold information in an effort to give a false sense of security with their "Included Plans" without providing details of coverage. Due to their false advertisement and misrepresentation I am without a functioning cell phone AS WELL AS being on the hook to not only pay for a new phone, but the now non-functioning device as well. When I was rejected for a water claim that initially appeared covered due to their website images and lack of listed verbiage on my "Registration Card", they offered to send me their "coverage" ONLY AFTER THEY DENIED THE CLAIM.
TLDR: WATCH YOURSELVES WHEN DECIDING TO DO BUSINESS WITH CONSUMER PRIORITY SERVICES AS THEIR METHODS AND OFFERINGS ARE SUB-PAR AND MISLEADING.
Cannot give Negative Stars, but would totally do so if I could. Thanks for nothing CPS!
Desired outcome: To warn other consumers in an effort to save them the trouble and better spend their money.
warranty
I was unfortunate enough to have bought an extended warranty through this company. I thought I was in good hands based on previous reviews I was wrong. In July my freezer broke I called in a claim and was assured that a GE service representative would set an appointment within 24 hours. I did get an appointment two weeks later on July 25th. I was ok with waiting. The GE service man, Kevin was very nice he told me that the repairs would be about $1200 I said "thank God I have a warranty service". He then went on to inform me that this call "was put in as a cash call" He informed me to call the company back (CPS) and tell them to put it in as a warranty call. I did. I got a call from Nathan Zalta, he was very nice and told me that that the GE repairman should never have asked me for money for the call. I explained the mix up that CPS placed it in as a cash call not a warranty call. He said he understood and was sorry for the length of time it was taking to repair my freezer. A week later I called him and he said he was waiting for GE to give him a parts list. I said ok. On 8/15 I spoke with Nathan again and he informed me that I was "not to worry he would take care of it" He was still waiting for GE to give him the parts list. I called Nathan again on August 28th to get the status of the supposed parts order. I left a message. On August 29th Nathan called me back and informed me that it was all my fault for cancelling the appointment on July 25th, I explained to him AGAIN that I DID NOT cancel the appointment and that the appointment was kept it was just that the repairman said it was a cash call. I also asked him why we were going over this again when he had already told me he was waiting for a parts list. He had the audacity to tell me that GE don't lie and they said I cancelled. I need my freezer fixed, why would I lie? And to call into question my moral character? I am a therapist and take my character seriously. I asked Nathan if I could speak with his boss because it was apparent something is very wrong. He informed me "that he is the boss of CPS there is no one higher then him except the board members and they don't talk to customers" I was appalled, I hung figuring I need a lawyer. I called GE and spoke with them and they are willing to provide me with proof that it was put in as a cash call and it was CPS mistake. I am so frustrated with this company, I have been getting the run around. I did file a report with the better business bureau and hopefully they will be able to help.
cps
My HP Compaq laptop was just counting its last days, I was just waiting for it to have its last breathe. Its defected hard disk and troublesome RAM has driven me nuts during all these few months and I was just about to sell it second hand. One of my friends then recommended me the name of Consumer Priority Service to get it repaired. As I had no option left, I bought 1 year warranty from them for my laptop that could cover its maintenance. It was to my surprise that the team at CPS was quick to detect the problem and correct it. Now I can use my lappy with same efficiency as earlier and even I have dropped the idea to sell it. Thanks CPS.
