I submitted my claim on the 31st of January 2024 for my deceased Uncle
till today 12th February 2024 I haven't heard anything from Momentum, I have sent emails and called almost every day and no one seems to know what is happening.

I'm really disappointed in the service you are giving me as well as being a momentum client . It's already been about 3 weeks since I had put my claim through which you had taken so long with .
What kind of business is this that it's taking you so long to see to such a small claim .
People also have lives and pay timeously every month where there is no delay and because of the lengthy process you guys are giving me I feel it's not matching the expectations of this brand of momentum.
This is now the 4th week going and so long you said it was the assessor now that all paper work is done there is still such a delay.
I sent emails and wait days till someone replies to me and it's really frustrating now to still wake up to empty promises.
This makes me feel like a big claim would be a nightmare if this is taking so long.

Momentum is very bad in customer service. I registered a claim in February 2023, made numerous follow-ups telephonically and through emails, no one responds, and if I am lucky to go through, I am told they will revert to me, and no one does.
When it was Alexandra Forbes, the service was excellent.
I am contemplating of cancelling the insurance with them and get a better one.
Investment policy
Momentum Winelands advised me that my money will take 2-3 days to reflect. The 4th day already and still nothing. Advisors are just quick to get monet from you for their own commission. They can't even reply on emails. I hope that this doesn't happen to someone else with an emergency. Rather close/move policies with/from Momentum or don't make use of them at all.

Momentum gives the worst insurance service I have ever received!
As a premium paying client, you would think you have peace of mind when theres an accident, think again!
I had an accident on 28th April, which was extremely small, and to date every *********** advisor I have spoken to at Momentum, coupled with their *********** assessment firm, Netassess, has been trying to figure out my damage.
Firstly, the incident was on the left side, however, every time I speak to Momentum they as well as their assessment firm, who has physically assessed my vehicle, talk about right hand side damage!
Secondly, my damage is in line with how the incident occurred, but they advise I am claiming for old damge, how can they even say this when they themselves do not know which side they assessed?
Further to the utter incompetence of Momentum and their service provider, whenever I call, they are always "going to call me back", which never materializes.
I have lost patience and worry what their service would be if one has a major accident?
Hospital cash back plan
I am pregnant and have a hospital cash back plan of R20 000 with them, which I am suppose to get after giving birth. I have inquired to them asking about all the documents they will need and they provided them and they asked me the name of the hospital that I will be giving birth in and I said it's Genesis Maternity Clinic. To my surprise they told me I will not get money if I give birth there and I asked why they said it falls under clinics but on line it shows that the hospital is registered under hospitals and cover all the birth procedures unlike Al-nisa maternity home and if you deliver at Al-nisa they pay of which I don't understand how coz it's not a hospital and they only assist if you're giving birth naturally but if not they transfer you. While Genesis deals with natural and scissor birth. And they are not giving me a clear answer. You can't even talk to the manager only consultants and they lie and say they will get back to you and no body does. When they are taking my money they are quick but when they need to deliver they come up with excuses. I want my money after giving birth as per arrangement

With load shedding these days and in area I stay in lots of cable theft etc which damages appliances, so I made a few claims with momentum now with my television was a recent one, they have put investigator on us meaning we dishonest I was with Alexander Forbes before but it's a pity they joined with Momentum because there are a few people unhappy but they willing to take your money every month without investigating. That's why I changed my insurance company. We are not criminals momentum insure.

We have filed a claim to momentum of my late fathers provident fund through the company he was working for on February 2022. We use a benefiaciary form of the percentages he gave us. But what shocked us is that the Momentum brokers has swap and changed the percentages and we dont know why. They have given our stepmother a bigger percent but she was not married to our father and they do not have a child she was a girlfriend now she has 84% of the amount while she was supposed to get 50% me 25% and my brother 25 but all that has changed and we dont know why and on what grounds. I purchased Teri Battery-operated Wireless Smart Outdoor Security Camera (2-Pack) first time online with Lowe's on 5/23/21, I started having issues with one of the cameras wouldn't hold a charge, lucky I was in my 90 days window so I was able to return the product to the store for refund. I figure that wasn't a major issue to be concerned about so I went back on line at Lowe's to purchase the second set of cameras on 6/23/21, received them on 7/6/21. Then I started having issues with the internet, I took the cameras down to sink the cameras, charge them to full capacity, not I was having issue with storage, I have the SD card, so the next day both cameras stop recording, so I took them down and this time I redid everything like it was a new setup, but still no recording and no internet, so I attempt to take them down again to figure out what in the world is going on with these cameras, as I climb down the ladder I almost fell, so I called my friend over and he told me to just return them, I'm too old to be taking cameras up and down trying to figure out the problem. I took the cameras into Lowe's store but they cannot issue me a refund because it was pass the 90-day mark for in-store refund, and they told me I have to contact the manufacture for return/refund. On 10/28/21 I sent an email to service@ Momentum, they gave me a reference number which is in the many emails traffic attached. The email went back and forth, they telling me to send the receipt, then they wanted pictures, more emails wanting copy of the receipt and more pictures, at this point I was so stress out I started crying, this is so un-healthy for anyone to go through what I did, it isn't right and something needs to be done. I called them today 11/11/21 and finally spoke to someone about my case, now they are telling me they are not giving refunds because I didn't purchase the cameras from them, I said how do customers know this, is this posted on your website, he talked around that, I said have a good day, and here I am now filing a complaint, hopefully I will see some kind of resolution. I was severely sick and your hello doctor said telephonic ally i'm not too sick I just have flue he advise me 7h30 pm to go to the pharmacy and buy myself medication I can self medicate myself. I paid for my own docter cause the state I was in I needed to see the gp in order for me to recover cause from monday being sick I already self medicated myself so I had to pay for my own doctor your docter was so rude he hang up on me no byes, and no professional voice in him he even got frustrated because I couldn't hear him clearly like 1st of all his advise very poor i've been sick at 7h30-8h00 where the hell am I going to get a pharmacy, second of all he was expecting me to sleep another day as sever as I was with no proper meds those things he sent buy sms I had them at home they didn't work and in fact I just got worce, well I eventually paid cash cause I saw a need for my health since he didn't see it the gp saw how I was thanks to the gp i'm better now still sick but getting better. How does a docter tell you you not really sick it's just flue like how do you underestimate flue when people die from flue dispite covid 19 and being part of us, people die from headaches then you get your hello doctors telling you you not really sick I mean what! Like monentum was no help for me i'am one of the people that does not like complaining but what do you do theb as a person to get [censored]ty help iam so mad I waited about 3hours and 30 mins for a gp to see me would a person that is not sick wait that long to see a gp where, bathong some of us don't like getting sick and going to docters and waiting we love our jobs when you sick all you think of while i'm booked of my work is piling up... I have to pay cash to see a docter but I have a medical insurance to see a docter guy's i'll be waiting for feedback this is internal portal of moment I hope issue will get resolved here I wouldn't want to see the need to go outside the portal of momentum

I was so happy for this to have your financial advisor's positive feedback so I went ahead and borrowed R10000 from a friend telling and showing her the email I received from Momentum. And she didn't hesitate to lend it to me after seeing the amount you employee Doreen Etsebeth emailed to me.
It also happens to be my 40th birthday soon on 27 September so I made plans to have some family and friends over to celebrate it with me. I planned it all and worked out it will cost me about R7500 it was all in my budget and I was just so grateful.
On Monday 13 September a day before I expect my R20500 deposit from Momentum Doreen calls me. It's been 22 days now that I know I will get that money, Doreen Etsebeth calls me 1 day before the deposit should be in my account. Telling me she just want to let me know I only get R300 and something rand and that she made a mistake it is not R20500 anymore!
I was crushed I told her how can this be, she gave me a amount of R20500, she has been working on my account for more than 23 days. I called her time and again, I send my documents to her not only once but twice and she went through it and didn't tell me anything was different or wrong!
I felt sick literally now I have nothing I owed people money I don't have anymore. I made big birthday plans I can't commit to anymore all because of her Doreen Etsebeth from Momentum. I asked her to let her superior call me. His name is Francois Kroukamp. I was crying hysterically when he called me and said we have a problem I asked him how can someone working with lives make such a mistake and she is in service of Momentum for more than 4 years.
Francois told me he has Covid and is working from home and he didn't know about the mistake she had made. I told him I now owe people money I don't have and I made plans I can't do anymore. Francios then told me he will pay R10 000 in for me out of his pocket for the money I had borrowed, and he did.
It was a big relief and I'm very grateful for his help. But.! I'm still wrecked by the mistake Doreen Etsebeth made and how she misled me. I took her word I rely and trusted her word completely, knowing she is a financial advisor and is her job and the fact that she works for Momentum made me even rely on her more.
Now I have nothing but regret I still feel sick, what could have been a happy birthday and good year now turned out like a nightmare. My heart is bitter. I heard on Jacaranda radio station of the Momentum moment's after covid vaccination competition and how Momentum helps people. But if someone like Doreen Etsebeth gives help you rather run away and don't return calls or emails.
I really want steps to be taken against her as she ruined my year and my 40th birthday. I've feel I've been mistreated and because of her I made big birthday plans and now I'm humiliated by her and had to cancel my arrangements all because of Doreen Etsebeth who are not capable of doing her job correctly and works for Momentum this big famous company. I have all the proof of the emails she sent me and I screenshot it and wil attach it to this email. So you can see why I'm so bitter and feel like I want to expose people like her who ruins people's lives like she did mine. And one more thing I spoke to a Momentum consultant over the phone and I know all calls are recorded and I received a email from a Moodly who works at Momentum not one of them told me what amount will be paid out to me, why didn't one of them gave me information on my account I totally depended on the amount Doreen Etsebeth gave me and emailed me and I made arrangements accordingly. You will never understand how greatly disappointed humiliated and crushed I feel right now. I was sick in bed the whole of yesterday. Momentum I need a uge apology from you I made a fool of myself by making big birthday arrangements to important people in my town and life I'm just so so unhappy. Not one, one of your employees rectify the mistake and it wasn't like a day or 3 I was under wrong conclusion by this for more than 22 day I hope you will address all who worked on my account and ask them why not one of them realised there was a problem with the amount. 3 or 4 different people not one picking up something is wrong. I have worked in Adison Power 10 years ago . Momentum customer service use to call me and I gave them all my details they email me form I did email it back when I completed it. Waited and waited . I went to sars they informed me that I have funds in momentum, but I never recieved up to date

SR [protected] LBA OHLEIN PAYE and Tax return do not match
My mother died in September 2019 and Momentum was immediately notified via my financial consultant Biderlack and Co in Windhoek. After they tried to get the 1/2 year tax return from Momentum I took it upon myself to write numerous email with numerous responses always referring me to other names and people. Eventually this year in July I received this document and happily proceed to the Receiver to finalized this outstanding tax return and deregister my late mom. Here was only to be told that Momentum returned a full year for 2020 which neither my dead nor the executor received while in fact my late mother only received 1/2 year income as per PAYE 5 .
Once again I took of work and went to the Momentum client service in Windhoek. Here again (3 time around) Mrs Ingrid Christians was not available and upon mailing her received neither a call nor a return mail. Thereupon I once again contacted Mrs Wemmert in SA who would refer this to the correct person. It is August now and I have had no feedback, no response or no call and am at loss what to do next.

#The service in Windhoek is non-existing with personal not at work and refusing to mail or call back. Please let me know how to proceed as this matter is long overdue and it needs to be settled urgently with the Receiver making me pay for their unprofessional faulty service.

Iam a momentum health4me member as per agreement isuppose to get the payout for maternity benefit instead iv been getting stories since last year isubmitted documents early after igave birth. iv been paying for nothing the consultants keep saying they did not receive and isent several times. why should ipay for benefits that iwould not get why should momentum promise to pay on their contracts? Iwont rest until you do something about this its been a year now telling me stories about the R20000 benefit fir people who gave birth on hospitals why me? Why you dont pay me?
