mango and passionfruit cooler
Ordered a mango and passion fruit cooler on Sunday 23rd April 2017 from the reading Whitley branch. Was half way through my drink when a wiry, Metal like piece of material came out the straw and into my mouth. Normally this wouldn't concern me as such, but taking into consideration that I am 14 weeks pregnant, I do not think that this is safe, nor should it be happening. I am aware that this is probably from a blender, and it has put me off of drinking anymore of the drink that I paid for.
service
At the Costa outside Debenhams entrance at Merryhill at 8.25pm on [protected] - when we ordered 1 tea and 1 Earl Grey tea we were told that the card machine was broken and so it was cash only. Next we were told that the loyalty card machine was also broken and that the points could be added at a later date. Then to top it all we had to have our tea in paper cups as the store was closing SHORTLY . In my opinion, half an hour before closing is not shortly. I hv never experienced this at any other cafes and restaurants, even when drinks and food were ordered 10 minutes or less before closing
I'm a regular customer at Costa and often have a drink at Costa at Merryhill in the evening as I enjoy my Earl Grey tea served in a tea pot with a tall glass.
I felt that the staff at this store didn't want the inconvenience of the dirty crockery.
points
I visit my local Costa on a regular basis and spend quite a lot of money. I like to use my Costa card because I can get money off quite regularly. However, for the last couple of weeks I have been informed that the points are added on and to add them on next time. However, I was never given a receipt . I feel I am missing out on quite a lot of points which is a shame.
non punching of bill
Dear Customer Service Manager
Today evening I was at one of your outlets in Lulu Shopping centre Edappally Cochin.
Our order was for two coffee and one mango juice the total cost came to INR512/- I gave INR 510/- and the staff said it is fine I was issued a bill immediately for the mango juice for INR235/- and we were told that the will serve the order to take a seat.
On delivery of the order the bill for the two coffee was not given so I called the staff and asked why there is no bill for INR 277/- he panicked and said that the system was down and will bring the bill immediately.
The bill was subsequently issued. Kindly look into the matter and ensure that staff are not cheating Costa pocketing unaccounted cash.
I have attached the bills which says it all.
With best regards

reported staff theft
On monday 10th april 2017, I visited the costa in westfield, white city.
When I left the store at 9.30pm, I realised that I must have dropped my wallet holder in the vicinity where I was residing in the costa.
I headed back to the store, and I asked the staff member, (Eurika, the assistant manager), if anyone had handed in my wallet with my oyster card plus £250 with cash enclosed. The assistant manager was cashing up at the time I approached her, and she told me that she found the empty card holder, but no cash was there. Two staff members witnessed this conversation between the assistant manager and i. When I had this conversation, the plain clothes security officer working at westfield was only present. The security officer told her that he could check the cctv cameras to ascertain who took the cash.
I informed the assistant manager that I would be contacting the police about this matter. He disposition of the assistant manager then became very nervous, and she clearly started to panic.
I rang the police and they gave me a crime reference number: 36602.
Shortly after I had contacted the police, the security guard who was assisting me received a call saying that the assistant manager had handed the cash I had lost. I was given back £200 in different notes from those I had lost and £50 was missing.
When the security guard spoke to the assistant manager to ask why she had not handed in the money in the first instance, she explained that she had found the empty wallet holder and the money in different parts of the store. How can that be possible?
The assistant manager is presently under investigation.
I am very disappointed, as it is my belief that she knowingly took the money, and she only decided to hand in the cash when she was aware that I had contacted the police and the security at westfield had intervened in the matter.
I was with a group of friends at costa when I lost my wallet, and as a regular customer, the assistant manager knows that we are regular customers.
Kinds regards

belgian chocolate caramel shortbread
Date:11/04/17
Location:longwood retail park, Newtownabbey
Complaint: I was very disappointed with my purchase today because the shortbread part was stale and did not taste very nice.
I recommend that you cover the pastry items and muffins to keep them fresh in future. I feel I am due a complementary lunch and my granny and cousin were also disappointed with their purchase.
I await your prompt response.

terrible services, ignoring certain customers
Date: 09/04/2017
Time:1:00pm
Went into costa on the main street(the second one opened in devizes next to the bus stop and the carphone warehouse) and once again aprroached to till with my father only to have the employee on the till look at us and satood there saying nothing. Not a smile, not a "hello", just nothing.
My father asked for two large lattees to drink in, the male young employee( about 18 years of age) who was serving us asked "are you paying by card", my father responded with "yes please" and then my father gave him his costa coffe club card for the points. The young boy took the card and at the end he gave it back. My father had to ask for a print out of the points as in the past they have on many occassions swipped a costa club card in the machine which gives the points and yet looking later on the app it showed no points given even though we paid and gave them our card! Not sure who was getting those points but it was us. The young man then gave us the reipts and said nothing.
We then moved over to where the coffee was being made and the store manager(which we didn't realise was the store manager as she had a black cfleece over the top and covered her store manager unform, made our coffee. She didn't say hi or even acknowledge us and even stood there talking to another 18 year old looking employee who had come from out of the back office to the coffe machine where the store manager was making our coffees. She turned to her co-worker and was talking about one of their friends and when they where meeting up later. The Store manager then put the coffee on the counter without still even speaking or smiling to us and then turned away. And that experience cost my almost retired fater £5.90.

This is not the first time these employee's have been overtly rude or just not given any customer service. I have seen many times in the past these and other costa employees treat customers appauling but have even been yelled at myself by a costa worker in front of father on another occassion where i purchased a coffe and while waiting chose to go to the toilet, upon returning the girl who served my and took my payment for the coffee YELLED IN MY FACE "THE TOILETS ARE ONLY FOR CUSTOMERS ONLY." I replied very calmy that i was a customer and she just YELLED the same thing "THE TOILETS ARE FOR CUSTOMERS ONLY".
My father who once again was sitting near turned and looked and the female employee about 18 years of age made a high pitched noise as if we had done something to her and ran into the costa office. At this point me and father just thought it was personal after so many other incidences where they mocked my for the way i sound, speak and look. My mother brought this up with an old store manager about 3 years ago in that same shop and told them i had autism. They said they understood and anywas was welcome in their shops yet since then have procceded to mock and humiliate me and my family over and over again.
This shoudn't have become such a big issue but i think that sometimes have a very young staff base can result in immature and personal behaviour, unfortunately i don't deserve this even if i was autistic.
Me and my famliy have another 4 incidents from the last month in that shop that we still have made complaints about yet, but when out of devizes the costa employee at other shops i will admit has been very nice and polite and very different from this store which the employees clearly recognize my and my family and proceed to seemly try and get rid of us.
flat white coffee
I had been driving for quite a few hours and decided to treat myself and my husband to my favourite coffee at Stafford services north
On my way to blackpool
It was 21.00 hrs apx
I ordered my coffees and sandwiches
From the only costa counter that was open
Queued for several minutes in anticipation
My sandwiches were fine we are those in the car park then set off on our journey
Only to find the coffee was terrible
That flat white was so weak
This is my regular favourite drink from costa so I do know what it should be like
I consider the drinks to be quite expensive but always the best
But I'm afraid not this time
A very disappointed customer

costa staff - unprofessional attitude
This is to bring to your attention that on the 2ND of April 2017, Sunday evening around 9:45PM, I and along my kids approached the Costa coffee shop near gate# 6 of Seef Mall located in Bahrain contry. While awaiting our turn to place an order a customer came and cut my turn and made a new order without any objection from the coffee shop staff. Once my turn came I asked the cashier about the reason for serving others while I was the only one waiting in front of cashier. His answer was "your standing position was away by nearly half meter." I replied to him by saying "this is not an acceptable execuse, as a curtosy you should have asked me first." Accordingly I informed him that "I will file a complaint about this incidet." He said he doesn't care about the consequnces after that he said "GET OUT OF HERE." Yet I told him "this is not an appropriate manner to deal with your customers in such language especially in front of kids."
Imagen the bad memory my kids have experienced with Costa coffee staff that resulted from such incedent. From my working experience and being around the world; USA, Europe & Japan, I am unfortunate to conclude that such Costa staff wasn't educated enough on how to deal customers nor competent to carry Costa logo.
We have full confidance in your judgment to mitigate reaccurance of such unappropiate attitude with costa customers. Meanwail we have communicated officially with your product respesntataive at Bahrain contry (Jawad Bussines Group), but with not feedback.
Your usual cooperation is required to share with us your course of corrective actions.

toilet facilities
On 31/3/17 I visited your branch in Whiteleys Queensway London W2 and was appalled and sickened by the lack of hygiene in the bathroom. It was like something you'd expect to see in a third world country, not in the UK. The door is full of dark marks that need cleaning and contract germs, finger marks that over time have accumulated as this is always the state, the toilet bowl is constantly brown stained. The floor is dirty constantly, in the corners it's filthy, the pictures tell the disgraceful story
the store in sheffield city centre near fountains
I have been to store a few times and have to say that the costumer service is lacking and the tables are always full of empty plates an cups I noticed a someone stealing from store when tellin the young girl behind counter she said dosnt matter happens all the time behind the counter was filthy and most staff was on their phones have to say I am very disappointed as I am a regular coustomer and due to my recent experience am forced to drink somewhere else
gluten free food
With coeliac being a more and more known disease, many businesses have introduced gluten free foods to their already existing menus. Costa holds a gluten free chicken sandwich and gluten free cherry bakewell, which is a positive change, however they never seem to have these items in stock and it seems to be a reaccuring space in their food fridge. To maintain gluten free stock would be appreciated by many.
latte from shell petrol station
Hi
So the issue I have experiened was I attended shell petrol station on old waslall road hamstead to fill up I had two passangers with me we brought a latte from the costa machine as we are regular coffe drinkers we purchased the drinks on the way we had a sip each the taste was so bitter and vile it had left a horrible taste in my mouth and made my mate vomit. I would like this matter to be resolved as this is the first time such thing has happend to me and I am quite disgusted
service & quality
I have called in Costa in Oxford St Swansea today to order a latte and toast. For a third time in a week I had my latte but hat to wait over 10 mins for the toast. When the toast came it was rock hard and wasvtotally fried out. When I complained they said I should of asked for a number for the toast order! I am sorry but is that their responsibility? I will not be visiting the Costa again as they are incapable of processing a simple order
muffin cake
I regularly pick up pastries or muffins from Costa whenever I am traveling. I bought one from the muscat airport and when Iwas having the same in the flight it was having a stale and smelly felling. I just wanted to give the feedback. As when I purchase things from Costa I expected quality.
Plz look into this matter.

Dear sir / madam,
My friend and I went to Cranleigh costa coffe on the 20/01/2017 at about
1-30 pm the cafe was not busy a few people were in enjoying there drinks etc, we ordered 2 cappuccinos and 2 bakewell tarts from the male waiter behind the till we received our coffees which was fine.
After standing waiting for our bakewells for a what seemed a long time for someone just to get them out of the counter and put them on 2 plates, we asked the young man could he pass us out bakewell tarts please his response was I'LL GET THEM IN A MINUTE YOU'LL HAVE TO WAIT he then carried on serving 2 more people that were behind us.
We complaint to the manageress she was very nice and apologised on his hehalf his name was Asif.
If he speaks to other customers like he spoke to us, your customers will go else where.
the service
I am in the Costa Coffee, 172 high street, uxbridge UB8 1JZ. The cafe is supposed to be opened till 6.30pm on Sunday. The weather is cold. However from 5.47pm onward, the cafe staff left the front door open to take back the tables and chairs outside the shop and cleaned the floor to make sure that she can be off duty on time. She also made a lot of noise. The lady in the front desk also never smiled. I feel so stressed and have a headache when I am in the shop when I am in the cafe.
