Visit to Costa, address above.
I sat outside. Very, very dirty. There must have been over 100 cigarette butts and other rubbish around the tables. There had been no cleaning of the outside for a long time.
When discussed with staff we were told they were not responsible for the outside. It was maintained by the site.
That maybe correct but as the site isn’t doing the job surely pride in the branch would prompt a quick brush of the outside seating area each morning.
Very poor and disappointing attitude
Desired outcome: Put outside cleaning of the immediate area around front of the branch daily. It is a very small area. Only 4 or 5 tables.
Mold, North Wales decaff coffee
Hi, I went into your Mold branch in North Wales on Thursday 14th July and as it was later in the day ordered a decaff coffee.
I was horrified when they used a coffee bag! If I go to a coffee shop I expect ground coffee. This coffee tasted like dishwater, total waste of money.
Desired outcome: Stop using coffee bags!
incorrect cappuccino
To whom it may concern,
Im not sure what you can do about this but I have a complaint about the way some of your staff make the cappuccino's, I have been going to Costa coffee for many years now I really like the frappe coolers and Tuna paninis and especially the coffee, but unfortunately some staff just do not know how to make a cappuccino the foam on a cappuccino should be proper frothy creamy foam and should last right to the bottom, but just recently every time i order one its bubbly foam that just vanishes and then your just left with a normal coffee that I could have made at home and at a cost of £3.05 for a small it's not cheap, I have a loyalty card and I must have spent a fortune in costa over the years. I went for a coffee on Sunday 10th July 2022 at foster square in Bradford and paid for a cappuccino which was rubbish and I had a voucher for a free iced coffee which they denied me, I don't want to stop visiting costa but I also don't want to pay alot of money and not get the drink I asked for.

Costa Next, Hello, regular customer. Americano coffee hasn’t tasted good for several weeks. The temperature of the water is not hot enough. Your machinery may need attention by your engineer, including the range and hot water tap. It may need routine servicing, or replacing, as it is a busy café.

Hi I went into your Sainsbury in hackney to get a drink first time from your machine, as there is a shop near station which I thought let’s try machine but worse mistake I paid 2.95 for a half filled drink absolutely madness that’s so out of order drinks should be filled and designed to be filled to near top I was embarrassed when I got to work to open the lid to see half filled after the floff had gone down what a con I want my money back and I want you to reprogram machines so we get a drink but half filled

Babyccino's
We go to Costa Coffee in Doncaster regularly. There are 4 branches in Doncaster that I know of. We also bring our children. When we order our coffees, we always ask for Babyccino's for the kids. We have had conflicting responses about this from each branch. Some charge, some don't. Some are saying that you can only have a free babyccino when purchasing a full price coffee. Now I thought babyccino's were supposed to be free, however many you want! It's for the kids! Are they free, or not?
Desired outcome: For Costa to clarify if Babyccino's are free or not or are they only free when you buy a coffee?

On the 28th June I purchased a soya cappuccino. This was the first time I had ordered soya I usually order coconut milk as I have a lactose and gluten intolerance. I remember thinking how delicious it was. Anyway about 3 days later I had a bad flare up in my mouth and at the corners of my mouth - an indication that I had consumed lactose. On the 5th I ordered another soya cappuccino and immediately noticed that this drink tasted very different to the one on the 28th. I now realise that I was given dairy milk and feel so disappointed and dissatisfied by this. I have always trusted the Costa brand and use my local branch often. On the 28th I used a drive through branch in Letchworth so was unable to observe my beverage being made. I look forward to your early response.

Specific opening times
As Costa Coffee is one of my favourite things I enjoy, I feel I should need a answer to my question. I work full time (till 5/5.30ish pm) and I just love to leave work and get myself a nice hot coffee and sometimes a nice treat. But unfortunately over the last few months both Costa's that are local to me are closed. It's not just a one off either, they are closed. I have queried this as the times online say otherwise. I use Costa 7 days a week so it has become a little frustrating to find them closed, especially for people who work late and enjoy a Costa Coffee.

Mon-sat: 07:00—20:00; sun: 07:00—18:00, clearly closes at 6/7pm during the week and the same of a weekend. I don't understand why? Have you changed your opening and closing times?
I live in between Worcester and Evesham (Pershore) but by the time I get home they are both closed. This may seem petty because I am sure the staff work very hard. However, I have spoken to many other people that use these Costa's and don't understand this either.

I came to costa coffee on the 4th of July 2022 at 4.45 pm with my sister and son after just receiving some awful news.
There was a young lady serving and her attitude was truly appalling.. her back was towards me when she asked us what we wanted. We had to ask her if we could possibly wait for a moment to take a look at the menu. At this point she turned around to actually face her. Her whole body language was disgusting and her bad attitude was bad. There was another girl working there and she had put my sons hot chocolate on a saucer when I went to take it she shouted at me to leave it there then proceeded to say I’m not sure why she done talking about the other member of staff. The whole situation was poor and her attitude towards other customers was not the best either. Would never come back

A free ice coffee not offered as promised
Bought a coffee on Friday 24 June entitlement for one free ice coffee. When asked for this on 28th June was advised to contact customers service. It appears there is a problem in automatic provision of this offer. Can you help, Coffee purchased on 24th June 22 was from City Centre Norringham Square. Firther on 28th June from Radcliffe on Trent Main Road Nottingham where advised that I should have been granted this offer on app automatically but they can not help as app does not show it
An offer for a free Frappe
Both my wife and l went to the Costa shop in St Peter’s Port to redeem the offer to try a Frappe as we both have the necessary app on our phones. We were told quite bluntly that we couldn’t, they didn’t have. ice I then asked if the offer would be extended for a day. The reply was No.
why do you publicly make an offer and not have the resources to fulfil that offer.

Product was a chicken and bacon toastie and the service was poor by only one staff member.
I went into Costa coffee on my lunch break in Hythe, Southampton. I ordered a chicken and bacon toastie, my friend a ham and cheese.
The staff member who had toasted the sandwiches, placed both cardboard sleeves containing the toasties on the side.
'which is which?' I asked.
'well open them and find out' he replied, I was a bit taken a back by this.
Following this I then opened up to find my chicken and bacon toastie inside one, it felt hot. The first bite was and then my second was cold, the chicken was half cold and half hot.
I am now sick about to call the doctor and have to take time off work.
This just isn't acceptable, especially with chicken.
Desired outcome: I'll be seeking more advice on what to do going forward as I have lost earnings.
The manager
At 4.45pm on monday 20th june 2022 I went into my local costs coffee shop on bearwood road, smethwick west midlands.
The manager displayed very poor customer service skills upon serving me as witnessed by colleague josh and otger customers.
Firstly there was no smile or hello or eye contact as he asked what I require. Then he just plonked my drink loudly onto the counter. I said "thankyou rob" twice as I thought he didn't hear me first time and I received no response. Instead he just walked away and said "next!"
it is a warm sunny afternoon as I can't bear sitting inside the cafe with rob walking around the cafe making me feel even more uncomfortable. Therefore, I am sitting outside with my mangoe iced cool frappe and blueberry and lemon slice of cake with very bad taste in my mouth having to write this complaint instead of enjoying my costa treat.
This is not the first time rob has been very unwelcoming. Its finally time for me to complain and maybe finally find another coffee shop to have time out from a recent and very close bereavement in my life at present.
Instead of having self care time outside costa with my drink and treat I end up writing this complaint instead.
As a customer I am very sadenned that customer service is not a priority for costa customers.
I look forward to hearing from you with the necessary compensation.

Mint chocolate chip frappe
I ordered 2 medium mint chocolate chip frappe with cream. There was no chocolate in it only the chocolate chips hardly any mint either. The drink tasted of water only. I don't live near so couldn't go back that day but rang them but no one answered. So I called in when next passing spoke to a lady who I take it was in charge but she wasn't helpful at all and wouldn't do anything to rectify the situation. This all happened at astwick Bedfordshire which is a shame as I did enjoy go to this one but don't think I will be going there again. This is a shame as before this happened I liked this costa and filled a survey in saying how good it was.

Costa bragg how the Store was founded in London (picture of the store in every store)… when it comes to celebrating our Monarch where are Costa…. Nowhere to be seen. A disgrace. Taken our money and slipped in ANOTHER PRICE RISE and not a flag in sight.
I was told its because of Covid transmission - Have something behind the counter.
Nope, Costa are purely take take take with continuous price increases they will try and take even more. I hope Society remember this as they did when they Boycotted Starbucks after the way they treated people during the 9-11 attacks.
Desired outcome: too late to resolve. Society only had this one opportunity to celebrate and Costa decided it wasnt important enough
Latte
1) On Saturday June the 4th my husband and I visited Costa Coffee in Nelson Place Dereham.
I purchased 2 medium lattes. They were awful they were lukewarm. It cost me over £7 for them.
I used to really enjoy Costa it was a treat for me especially as I am on disability benefits.
2) I lost my free birthday cake and one of my free coffees because I got sick and never heard back when I complained.

Went to Costa on 15th May 2022 about 12 pm afternoon. Iam wheelchair bound so found a table whe partner went to counter staff r so rude couldn't understand what he asked for and I had to go and repeat to them. Then tbe table I had to ask to b wiped as was so bad and on tbe floor next to me a drink had been set all over tbe staff member again I asked cod someone clean it up as safety issue she just like tutted and got blue paper roll wiped it up then with no gloves on went and served customers didn't wash her hands or mop tbe floor area. I needed the toilet so went to use I got inside and omg it was awful there was water on floor everywere and tbat fir me is so dangerous as I coumd slip as I'm an amputee in a wheelchair but I coumdnt use toilet as seat was broken and tbere was tissue on floor with excrement on it and then I tried to take picture but was then td by the staff I'm not allowed as I also asked for manager to b td they don't have one and tbey don't have to clean or check toilets. I did notice that peoe who r not customers were queuing to use this and tbe staff have to unlock to let u in so why would they let just anyone use as should b customers only. So I tried to bring to tbe staff members attention to b td again what can she do tbey got no manager and short staff but there was actually many staff members there also I thought like other food places tbere is a cleaning rota through the day this place had nothing or no cleaner she said. This is not tbe first time at tottenham hale I found tbe toilet so bad it shod of been closed really as toilet seat was so dangerous. After leaving and going home I actually had stomach sickness for 3days nearly and I do nieve it was from what I ate and drank there as hygiene is discusting even in tbe whe seating areas as tbey do not clean tables when peoe leave or do the floor regular through day and tbere Lane excuse is no manager I count even get tbe lady's name as no badge on and she wouldn't give it said she didn't need to as not down to her. I didn't want to make a fuss but as I say its not tbe first time but has totally put me of costa which I norm enjoy at other branches. Also itsucky I'm not taking to tbe newspaper as I count use tbe toet as so scared I'd slip and fall or catch something. There was no attempt to clean ut tbey just let peoe carry on using it and tbere was a cue of peoe who were not even customers and gbe smell was not nice at all I had to put my mask on. I don't know how this can b resolved but what a waste of nearly 20 pound and a bad stomach to go with that. Tbe staff a cod do with better training as tbe language barrier is just awful and I'm English my partner not but he speaks very well but the server just keep asking what he wanted over and over and was so impatient. I've seen lots of other review on here now so can't just b a one of can it

I purchased a flask and a purple cup and both have come away from the inserts they were not cheap either I regularly use costa and am really dissapointed the one was a purple mug and the other us a costa flask with glitter bits insude the lining both outter bits have come away from the inner bits hence the glitter going everywhere I dont have the reciept anymore but they were purchased from a newport store
