All the windows in my house are Crestline and all of them failed. They are wood inside and aluminum cap outside. Because of the poor seal the water infiltrated between the aluminum cladding and the wood, causing the wood decay. All the windows and the sliding door have the same problem: trap the moisture between panels, bad seals, very leaky, bad locks, the spacer between panels absorbs and retain water. I've contacted the company, and they offer 50% discount on glass only. What should I do with the glass only when the entire issue is the sash itself? They asked for receipt or for windows codes. After providing the codes their sales rep lead said the windows are vinyl. How can be vinyl when they are wood. I am looking at them and they keep saying according to their records the codes are for vinyl windows.
So, did they use cheap glass on wood panels and sold at the higher price?
How did they say the code is for vinyl windows when they sold me the wood panels? The code is between panels. How comes they record shows vinyl when they are actually wood.
