Cricket Wireless insurance and warranty

I have a ZTE Grand X that stopped working due to no fault of mine. It started with the apps on the phone malfunctioning, I tried to restart it it was stuck on the white ZTE start screen for hours. When it finally came back on it came to an Android logo screen with the options to reboot, factory rest, etc. I called tech support to have them walk me through fixing the phone and after many tries they concluded it was a manufacturing error and that I should file a warranty to get a replacement. Granted, I've only had this replacement since April of this year and the previous two replacements stopped working the same way. I haven't dropped them, there were no cracks or water damage, they all just stopped working. But the problem is they are trying to send me the same make and model which I get that is their policy to replace a broken phone with the same model but I do not want this same make and model because it's obvious they don't work! This is my third THIRD! replacement of this model and they all stop working in the same way after a couple months. I don't believe it's fair to keep sending me the same phone that's just going to stop working in a few months causing me to lose all my contacts and to have to keep starting over. After sending three replacements and having them stop working due to fracture error wouldn't it be obvious that there is something wrong with these phones? So why keep sending me defective phones? I asked to get a different model this time but they insist on sending the same one. I am willing to pay the difference to get a different model but apparently neither insurance or warranty works like that. I was told the only way to get a different model phone is to buy one. So now I'm going to have to buy a whole new phone because my current phone stop working due to MANUFACTURING ERROR. I could understand if I broke the phone myself and wanted a different model I'll have to buy it but I was given a phone that was broken in the first place and don't think it's fair to have to buy a new one for that.. I've been a loyal customer with cricket for years because I like your rates and plans and coverage is better than most other networks and I really don't want to have to switch net works but your insurance and warranty coverage/policies really sucks. :(

Cricket Wireless customer service

I've been a customer since December 2016. My service is good, phones are decent although for loyal customers we should have deals like new customers. Anyways, I've had problems with phones, but have gotten sent refurbished ones. My complaint is the customer service for their 800 line. NEVER had any problems til yesterday, spoke to this man who lied to me, who wasn't knowledgeable in the area I needed help with. Gave me a hard time, asked to speak to supervisor told me no and hung up. I finally called back, spoke to a nice man who immediately directed me to someone higher up and he was just as rude as the first guy but worse. Wouldn't help me AT ALL, interrupted me, was sarcastic & blantly rude. I will be switching companies with both lines in a week when my bill is due.

Cricket Wireless unwilling to unlock my phone

I purchased a used iPhone SE and have all of the original packaging. The woman I bought it from failed to disclose that it had previously been used on Cricket. I asked if it was AT&T compatible and it is. However, because she used it on Cricket and then switched to a different phone on that Cricket account, they have locked the phone for 6 months. I am unclear why the lock isn't connected to the account under which the new phone fulfills the 6 month requirement. Instead the 6 month lock follows the imei number through the phone.

I have spent numerous hours to this point speaking with AT&T, my current carrier, Cricket store and phone customer service and even WalMart who issues Cricket plans. No one can help me or offer me a solution.

It is interesting that, depending on who you talk to, AT&T is the parent company but can't help with this issue. The online Cricket folks claim that they only "use their towers" and otherwise are not affiliated with AT&T. Very strange and convoluted situation. I just need my phone unlocked so I can use it!

Cricket Wireless misinformed / unprofessional

Hello,
I was very unhappy with my visit today. You told me I could get 4 lines of unlimited high speed data for $120.00 on Saturday when I came in. I told you I would be back Today with my wife and kids to switch carriers. My wife drove an hour one way to come meet me at my work to come to your store only to find out we would be paying $160.00. It was a waste of hers and my time and gas for the "STORE MANAGER" to misinform me. Very unprofessional. We were very excited to switch carriers to Cricket, but now we have a bad idea of that.

saeed.[protected]@mobilelinkusa.com — was the manager of the Schenectady NY Cricket store that I deal with.

Cricket Wireless my iphone 6!

I have owned my iPhone 6 since october 2014, in October 2016 I switched to cricket, bringing my own phone && number. All was well! In May 2017 my ex took my phone && would not give it back. I called cricket asked them to suspend my line of service so I could go get a different phone. She asked if I wanted my phone reported stolen or lost I said no! She didn't listen! I got my phone back a few days later. I had already gotten another phone tho. Well in August my moms phone broke so I let her use my iPhone 6 only to find out that it was on a block list && unable to use. We took the phone to the cricket store they said in 10 days it would be off the list && able to use. 2 days ago I went back to my iPhone 6 because I didn't see the point of paying over $200 a month for a phone when I have one. After 30 minutes it locked up, I called 611 they unlocked it. A few hours later it was locked again, called again. It has done this 6 times in two days. Cricket don't seem to understand that this phone is not lost or stolen idk but they are responsible for the issues && I feel they should have to replace my phone! This company has caused me nothing but problems since August over my own phone. I paid over $700 for this phone!

Cricket Wireless customer service dept

On sept 1st I had multiple issues with supervisors i was hung up on by one manager of operations. ( junior id# 11439). I called back and was talking to another supervisor ( Caroline) and she told me something completely different from the first 2 supervisors and when asked for her id# she refused to give it to me. I than asked to be transferred to her superior ( Karen#kc1208) and once again was not helped and was told something different again than the rest I asked to once again be transferred to her supervisor she transferred me to ( Peter#11916) who stated he was the lead supervisor and no one was above him to talk to.
I was trying to transfer one number from my family plan to boost mobile do a service issue for that area where that phone belongs to my worker and boost had the best coverage in it all was well up until I proceeded to do it than the issue was oh your line has been cancelled and upon talking to the account holder and myself we both stated we did not cancel anything . But your team stated there was nothing they could do for me and I was hung up on by junior # 11439, but once I complained about moving all of my accounts it was oh we can wave the reactivation fee for you and was quoted $45 than $30 than $40 and than by the last supervisor I was told $82 and when I became angry she stated no I will charge you only $67. Dealing with cricket wireless today cost me approximately 1600$ in losses from work the new activation I had to get with boost because an error on a store rep and I lost when I paid for the number originally on the bill.
This by far was the worst customer service I have dealt with ever from them and being a general manager with boost mobile for 12 years is outrageous and the amount of money it cost me in dealing with the untrained reps and by far the worst supervisors ever all listed!

Cricket Wireless zte sonata 3

Several of my contacts can't call me. They're getting error message "person you're trying to reach is not receiving calls at this time". More than one person is getting that message. Recently my daughter who lives out of town was in a car accident and she kept getting that message when trying to call me. This is ridiculous.
In addition to all that now I'm getting " server is unavailable try again later " when trying to place a call. I'm so aggravated with love this phone and the service.

Cricket Wireless employee

I've been a Cricket customer for several years. We don't have a lot of use for all the fancy add-on stuff, just basic phone usage for the family. Started at GameStop and have done upgrades at the local (Woodstock, GA) store.
No problems.
Until tonight.
Went to the Cricket store to buy a phone. All I want is the phone. Nothing else since I can do the upgrade myself and save the $25 they stab you for. And not a high-level phone, just a basic replacement phone.
I've worked with Sarah and Devonte (sp?) in the past who have been extremely helpful.
Tonight, 8/28/17, someone new started helping. I told him all I wanted was the phone. He stated he'd have to charge the $25 for the upgrade. I told him I don't want him to do it and I'll be doing it. He came back stating sternly, "Sir, I'm the expert, not you. I'm the one to do the upgrade and it'll cost to do it."
WTF!
You give me attitude like that? You, the current face of Cricket, and you treat a customer in such a way?
Screw you!
I stayed calm and started to tell him I've done this in the past and its no big deal.
He said, "SIR, I'M NOT selling you just the phone" and immediately walked away.
Yep, this store off Hwy-92 in Woodstock, GA, has just lost my business, and, I hope that a-hole gets fired.
I've found no issues with Cricket for the past few years, however, this screw-up of an employee just put a bad-mark on what I had found was a decent company.

Cricket Wireless store manager

I had bad experience with the Cricket store in Grinnell Iowa. I was very upset with the service because I was not aware that if your phone didn't work with there prepaid plan you could not get your money back. The store manager said it was there policy but it was not posted any where in the store or on the receipt and the cricket sales person did not make me aware of that policy. I kept the service on my phone but I could not get the cricket service on the other phone I brought in with me. As weeks passes the store manager messaged me on Facebook and told me that I am responsible for making them lose there $200 store bonus because I gave them a bad review on a survey. I never took a survey for Cricket wireless. The manager also told me that I took money out of his kids mouth because of the bad review he thought I gave them. As a store manager you should never harass a customer or blame the customer, I switched my service because of this situation. I also have proof of the messages and I will be calling corporate and making a complaint because something has to be done about this manager.

Cricket Wireless poor sales experience and no customer service

This is letter I have been unable to send to cricket after hours of effort (Specific transaction codes redacted):

To: customer service

Please refer this message to someone who actually has the authority to correct my problems! I do not wish to be contacted by someone who must read responses from a script!

I would like this account reconciled and all rebates issued!

Phone no. _
Invoice no. _
Contract no. _
Date: july 8, 2017
Purchased at 104 phonewerks
Referral rebate code _
Referred by _
Cricket rewards verification codes (Sent by cricket by phone):
_ (7/9/17, 12:57 pm)
_ (7/9/17, 12:57 pm)
_ (7/9/17, 12:58 pm)

Reasons I bought from cricket:
$50 rebate offer posted in window
$25/25 referral credit offer
$5 monthly discount for autopay
Could buy at store rather than on line (As I needed it right away).

I stopped by store to see cricket at my sister's request and saw sign in window for $50 rebate. Promised original salesman that I would return to buy in a couple days as I had to get info on my old t-mobile account to swap for free phone. I verified all costs, promised credits, rebates, etc. Before leaving store (But was not told there was a $25 activation fee).

When I returned, original salesman was not there.

— I was told after I purchased the phone that $50 rebate offer had actually expired the day before I saw sign. (The salesman explained that "they never tell us when offers will expire.")

— without my asking him to, salesman set up mycricket, told me to have my sister set up her account, then give me # to use for referral rebates, which must be done within 24 hours. I barely reached her on time, but got the code (_) within 24 hours, then couldn't find where to put code number. Store was closed by then.

Called original salesman the next day. He said that referral number had to be gotten before installing mycricket as it can only be used when initially installing mycricket. Also said code could be used for 30 days (Not just 24 hours); but since it was not used in setting up mycricket account, I am out of luck!

I gave him my number, my sister's number and the code, asked him to fix it within company, didn't happen.

Talked to customer service, no success.

Had to wait for new debit card to arrive to set up autopay. Finally got card in the mail on last day of deadline. Set up autopay, got thanks and acknowledgement of payment; but at midnight phone was shut off anyway. (No record of payment now shows on payment record for original payment.)

When I called the next day, customer service rep insisted you had no record of payment and said I must pay again to get phone on. I had no choice but to agree to this double payment since I was on call and had to have the phone. Then she asked me if the debit card you have on file was the one I wanted to use — that was the card number I had used the day before. The reason it was on file is that I used it to make the payment you denied getting.

And, needless to say, you cheated me out of the agreed-upon $5 autopay discount!

In summary:

— you falsely advertised an expired rebate offer partially influencing my decision to buy from you instead of the highly recommended consumer cellular. ($50)

— screwed me out of referral rebates due to salesmen misunderstanding process. Refused to fix internally. ($25/$25)

— after confirming all costs, etc. Involved before making decision to buy, found out at checkout time there was "activation fee" never mentioned. ($25)

— charged twice for august ($40)

— rebate for autopay not applied ($5)

— in response to first survey, asked for a return call; didn't happen.

— after being forced to double pay, asked that I be sent by text the # of someone in supervisory position who could fix these problems; didn't happen.

— wasting a whole f_ing s_load of time!

Needless to say, unless these issues are resolved soon, I will be contacting the bbb and any appropriate government agency with my experience, as well as publicizing your bad faith and deceitful practices by every avenue available. (I already responded to the question, "how do you like cricket?" from an acquaintance the other day with, "i've heard great things about consumer cellular".)

You may contact me friday, august 25, by phone, at _.

Christine scherzinger

P. S. One hour spent trying to get an e-mail address to which I could send this letter, clearly stating situation (Far too much detail to relate to a customer service rep who would only pass me to someone else).

Well as you might imagine, customer service passed me around and the closest I could get to e-mail address is dumping this into "chat" option, where after an inordinate time spent reading, alexav promised to take it step-by-step, then connection died.

Called back and started over with zulma m, who said if I want rebate, I must call a certain number, one that blew me off previously.

I told her to have a supervisor call me. Didn't happen!

Cricket Wireless bait and switch

A phone on my account was destroyed by two separate Cricket Reps... when we attempted to upgrade we were insulted by the arrogant little twit who informed us "we, do not sell the cheap phones.. only the $100 and up phones" we pointed out they had the $20-$50 phones on display... I spoke with a so called employee who worked in the CEOs office Joseph Garcia German he acted as if the phone being destroyed by their reps was our fault, coz it only cost $40.. then the nipple head tried to sell me on buying 3 $100 phones online after I told the human cotton swab we do not shop online, use CC's or pay over $50 for a phone.. one weak [censor] apology and no offer to make things right... all we asked for was 3 Alcatel One touch Flints $20 a pop and free activations on all three phones..$135.. nothing.. so I guess after 5 years $5400 plus the cost of possible upgrades and accessories we are done with Cricket... hey [censor] you lost a hell of alot more then you saved!

Cricket Wireless customer service lied

I went into the store and told the lady my husband was deploying and since we were having a baby we needed a phone service where I could contact him and he could contact me while he was deployed. She guaranteed me that his phone would work in Spain and that she had many people stationed on that base in Spain using this phone no problem. She said it's called an international plan. Paid over $100 only to find out that there is no such thing as an international plan. You can call Spain from the United States on your phone but you cannot take the phone to Spain and use it. Called customer service and was told that they were sorry that I was lied to and that they would file a formal complaint against the store and representative but it is against their policy to issue a refund. Less than a week. How can they lie to a pregnant military wife and screw her out of money. I'm so unbelievably upset right now. Issued a dispute with my bank and going into the branch to confront the liar tomorrow.

Cricket Wireless lg fortune

On August 17th, I went into a Cricket store to get new service and purchase a new phone. District Manager Syed Sherazi sold me the LG fortune for $120.00. He tried to sell it to me for S145.00 at first. Today I had the chance to go on the website to get reviews about the phone. While on the site I noticed the phone is free for new customers that transfer their number over and $39.99 for new customers not transferring over their number. Nothing pisses me off more than a liar! I dont appreciate being over charged $80.00.

Cricket Wireless phone

I had just got a ZTE sonata 3 last Tuesday (8/8/17) and it works horrible, the brightness controls itself, my time always turns wrong when my phone dies, it goes way to slow to load when coming back on, it take 30+ minutes to optimize my apps and I got like 18 apps, it will freeze and act up on its own, I had to reset my whole phone yesterday because it wouldn't cooperate with me.. I need a refund or better phone. Thank you.

Your employees values represent your company's values.. Especially after Charlottesville. If you're fine with racist employees (who you know will interact with, and potentially deter, black and Muslim customers) then so be it. I personally will be avoiding your wireless service so I don't have to deal with people like him. This may be one of the reasons why your online rating are so very low.
