Crunchyroll Review: Great Content, But Constant Pausing Ruins the Experience
Crunchyroll is a pretty cool site, but it can be a real pain in the butt when it keeps pausing all the time. It's especially annoying when you don't have the premium membership, but even with it, you can still run into problems where the video stops at a really intense part and you have to refresh the page like 3 or 4 times, or sometimes even more. It's like, come on, Crunchyroll, get your act together!
Now, don't get me wrong, there are some really awesome things about Crunchyroll. For one, they get the rights to all these amazing shows from Japan, and they're able to translate them super fast so we can all enjoy them. Plus, you can tell that they're just as excited about the content as we are, which is pretty cool. But with all that going for them, you'd think they'd be able to figure out a solution to this whole pausing issue.
I mean, I get it, running a business is hard. But after years of people complaining about this problem, you'd think they'd be able to come up with something. It's like they don't even care about their viewers sometimes. And that's a shame, because I really do respect what they're trying to do here.
But honestly, I don't know if I can recommend Crunchyroll to anyone until they fix this issue. It's just too frustrating to deal with. I've even thought about writing down all the videos in my queue and just logging off indefinitely until they get their act together. That's how bad it is.
I wouldn't mind so much if the video just took a long time to buffer or something, but this is something else entirely. It's like the video just refuses to load unless you refresh the page, and even then, there's no guarantee that it won't pause again. And forget about trying to skip around on the video timeline - that's just asking for trouble.
So yeah, until they fix this issue, I can only give Crunchyroll like 2 or 3 stars. It's just too much of a hassle to deal with. But if they can figure out a way to make the videos play smoothly, then I'd be more than happy to give them 4 or 5 stars. Because let's be real, there's some really awesome stuff on this site that I'd love to watch without all the frustration.
Crunchyroll Review: Excessive Ads Ruin Free Watching Experience
Crunchyroll is a streaming service that offers a wide variety of anime and Asian dramas. However, if you plan on watching without paying, be prepared for a lot of ads. The watching experience is almost intentionally horrible without upgrading. A 20-minute episode can easily turn into 45+ minutes due to the excessive amount of ads. First, you'll get an ad immediately before any of the episode plays. Then, you'll barely get 2 minutes into the episode before another ad plays. The ad durations are very long, and you'll be forced to sit through 3 back-to-back ads each time. You can't even pause them, and they come in pretty loud each time. Also, the ads hardly vary, so be prepared to watch 20+ minutes of identical, loud, and skip-less ads every single time!
After the second round of ads, it'll look like you can pretty much watch the rest of the episode freely. However, that's not the case because the majority of that time will be the intro to the show. Then, it'll often replay parts you already saw before the ads, and it'll feel like there's no order or flow. Another issue is that the subtitles will often not show. If you try to fix or re-select your sub, it will auto-restart the episode, which will force you to watch more ads starting from the very beginning.
My experience became unbearable very quickly. I upgraded to premium with a 14-day free trial, and now everything is unbelievably smooth! No ads, no buffering, no subtitle issues, just quick, smooth, peaceful watching. It literally doesn't even feel like the same streaming service. The free version is so bad in comparison that it's clear Crunchyroll tries to force customers into paying. However, I will be cancelling immediately after the trial ends.
Crunchyroll Review: Cheats and Liars Who Stole My Money and Overdrawn My Bank Account
This website is not good at all, it doesn't even deserve the one star that I gave it. They are cheats and liars who stole money from me and overdrawn my bank account. I wanted to try this website because they said they had the English version of an anime I wanted to see, so I signed up for the free trial because you can't see what they have until you do so. However, when I tried to see if they had it, they did not have it at all! So, right away, I canceled my account with them, but when I tried to do that, an error message kept popping up and would not let me cancel the account. I tried to contact customer service, but there is no phone number, by the way, only through email, which takes them 3-5 days to respond to you.
I wrote an email telling them what was going on, and days later, I got a response telling me that everything is fine, sorry for that, and the account is canceled, and I won't be charged. But no such thing was done because I got charged THREE times from them before they refunded my money, and again told me that the account was canceled, and I won't get charged again. Also, within those three times, they caused an overdraft fee, and my bank had to fix that. So after all that, you would think I was done dealing with CRUNCHYROLL, but not at all, to my surprise, I was charged AGAIN by them, and AGAIN, causing me to have an overdraft fee. I had to go through the whole thing again through EMAIL! By the time they got back to me, my account was overdrawn $50, and they only refunded me $6.95 and are refusing to fix what they did. So I highly advise you to stay away from CRUNCHYROLL; they should be SHUT DOWN!
VRV Combo-Pack: Great Idea, Terrible Execution - A Review of Crunchyroll and Funimation's Streaming Service
I've been a member of Crunchroll for a couple of years now, and I have to say, it's been mostly good. There have been some issues with the streaming from time to time, but they've always been resolved eventually.
Recently, I decided to upgrade to the VRV Combo-pack, which includes access to Crunchyroll as well as other sites like Funimation. The great thing about this is that Funimation has dubbed anime, which is something a lot of people are looking for. Unfortunately, the service is pretty terrible.
The video keeps stopping and starting, which is incredibly frustrating. I've tried it on multiple computers, using multiple browsers, and even at two different locations with fast internet, but the problem persists.
I reached out to support via email, but the response I got was pretty cryptic. They suggested that I change my DNS settings, which seems like a lot of work just to get their service to function properly. It's clear that their servers or routing can't keep up with the streaming content.
I asked if there was a way to lower the resolution so that the content would stream more smoothly, but they told me that wasn't an option. All they kept saying was to change my DNS settings, which I'm not even sure would make a difference.
I even tried calling Crunchroll (or Ellation, their corporate name) at their West Coast office, but I never reached a live person. All I got was a message telling me to send an email, which I had already done and didn't get any satisfaction from.
It's pretty concerning that a company with such major product delivery issues, useless email support, and zero phone support can be such a major presence at conventions. They should be focusing on making their paid service work properly all the time, instead of just trying to promote themselves at events.
Frustrated with Crunchyroll's Customer Service and Billing Issues
I gotta say, I'm feeling pretty frustrated with Crunchyroll. I don't usually leave reviews, but I just gotta get this off my chest.
So, I signed up for the free trial, right? But when I tried to do it, my account got charged even though I got an error message saying my card didn't go through. Like, what the heck? If my card didn't go through, how did they take my money? So I reached out to them on chat and they told me my card wasn't charged, even though I showed them proof that it was. They said they'd escalate it, but then the next day they emailed me saying my card wasn't charged and they added the 14-day free trial. But they gave me the wrong trial! I wanted the Megafan trial, but they gave me the Fan subscription. So I emailed them again, attaching my statement to show them what I wanted. And what did they do? They replied saying my card wasn't charged and they already put the free trial, even though I already told them they gave me the wrong one! So I emailed them AGAIN asking them to change it to the Megafan trial.
It's just ridiculous, you know? I shouldn't have to talk to multiple agents to fix a problem, especially one as simple as this. I used to work in customer service, so I know how important it is to get it right the first time. It's just sad and frustrating that they couldn't do that for me.
Crunchyroll, you gotta get your act together. Customers shouldn't have to go through all this just to fix a simple issue. If it wasn't for my brother being into anime, I wouldn't even be dealing with you guys.
Crunchyroll Review: An Anime Lover's Nightmare with Incessant Ads and Navigation Issues
Crunchyroll is a website that claims to offer anime lovers the chance to watch their favorite shows from anywhere in the world. However, my experience with this site has been nothing short of a nightmare.
While many sites offer a subscription-based service that allows you to watch shows without ads, Crunchyroll seems to have taken a different approach. Instead of occasional ads, they bombard you with them incessantly, making it almost impossible to enjoy the shows you love.
In some cases, I have seen the same ad shown four or five times in a row. And in one instance, I was forced to watch the same ad eight times in a row. Not only was this incredibly boring, but it also resulted in a false charge to the advertiser, who may have believed that their ad was being shown to eight different people when, in fact, it was only being shown to me.
The purpose of these ads is clear: to get you to sign up for the premium service or suffer through the bombardment. And while I almost signed up for the paid service, I was put off by the fact that the registration page was covered by a pop-up that looked like part of the registration process.
But the problems with Crunchyroll don't end there. When I tried to access the site through the web instead of the app, I found even more issues. The show I had been watching was not listed, and there was no obvious search bar. This made it difficult to find the shows I wanted to watch and allowed Crunchyroll to promote their own content more easily.
And even when I did find the show I wanted to watch, I was presented with a list of episodes that happened later in the series, without any indication of where to start. It wasn't until I noticed a small "resume watching" button hidden on the right side of the screen that I was able to find the earlier episodes.
Overall, my experience with Crunchyroll has been incredibly frustrating. I'm not surprised that the site has an average rating of one star, and I hope that my review will help others understand why.
Low Value and Playback Quality: A Review of Crunchyroll Anime Streaming Service
This site, Crunchyroll, has some anime, but you can find the same anime and even more on Hulu Plus and Netflix. The price is basically the same, but with Hulu Plus and Netflix, you get so much more. The value of Crunchyroll is very low.
Another issue with Crunchyroll is that the playback quality is very low compared to Hulu Plus or Netflix. I'm not sure why this is, but I'm a Time Warner customer, so it might have something to do with their throttling of certain sites.
If you want to use the free trials that Crunchyroll offers, you have to provide payment information that will be charged if you are even one second late in canceling. I didn't have a problem with this since I wanted one more month, but I only wanted it for a specific reason. My subscription was paid for and was due to expire on the 22nd of the month. I canceled on the 6th of the month because the page I was on stated that the subscription was not refundable, but my already paid for subscription would run through the 22nd of the month. This is what I paid for and what I wanted. However, they immediately canceled my subscription, and we were not able to continue subscription level viewing through the 22nd as we were supposed to. The already paid subscription has not been refunded at this time either. We should have been able to watch through the paid for subscription as their website stated, but we were not able to. This is fraud to me, and it disgusts me.
Billing issues aside, I still would not recommend anyone pay for this site. Most of the anime can be watched for free. Only the most recent episode must be viewed with a paid subscription, but if you can wait an extra day or two, you can watch it on Hulu Plus or Netflix and get more value for the same dollars. Also, they constantly offer free trials over and over to those of us that have canceled, so you can always just use the free trials.
Crunchyroll Review: Technical Issues and Hidden Fees, But Potential for Improvement
I gotta say, Crunchyroll ain't my favorite when it comes to how they do business. I mean, I ain't no big spender, so I'm just a free member, but even then, the buffer rate can be a real pain in the butt. And from what I've seen on the forums, even the Premium members ain't immune to that problem. But hey, at least the commercials ain't too bad.
But what really grinds my gears is them hidden fees. I remember buying something from them once, and next thing I know, I'm enrolled in some 2-week free trial that I didn't even know about. And that thing don't cancel itself, oh no. Next thing I know, they're taking money out of my account every month. Lucky for me, my Mum's cool with opening my mail, so she caught it before it got too bad. But man, I had to jump through some hoops to get that sorted out with my bank. Now I keep a real close eye on my finances.
I ain't no big anime watcher, so I only use Crunchyroll once a month or so. But if they could fix their technical issues, I'd be all over that full membership. I mean, I'd even be willing to fight 'em tooth and nail to get my account shut down if I had to. But from what I've seen on the forums, that ain't always so easy. People be asking how to cancel their membership left and right, and some of 'em still get charged even after they cancel. That don't sit right with me.
All that being said, I gotta admit, Crunchyroll's got a lot of potential. They ain't through yet, not by a long shot. If they can just get their act together and make things a little more user-friendly, I'd be all over that full membership.
Disappointing Selection and Apathetic Customer Service from Crunchyroll
So, I started a premium trial on Crunchyroll the other day and I gotta say, I was a bit disappointed with their selection of titles in certain genres. I mean, it's been years since I was last a paid member and I was expecting to see some new titles in the genres I like, but nope. I was surprised. So, I decided to contact their support team to ask for more titles in those genres. I clicked on the Help/FAQ link at the bottom of the page and it took me to a new support site with a bunch of questions and answers. I found a link to contact support directly and clicked on it, but it just reloaded the page I was on. I tried it on two different web browsers and even disabled my addons, but it was still nonfunctional. Lucky for me, I found a support e-mail from them in my past e-mails and e-mailed them about the issue.
After about a day, I got a response from them, but it was pretty useless. They told me that most people feel positive about the new changes they've made, but they didn't even ask me for browser details or anything to try to troubleshoot the issue with their support website. It was like they didn't care! I was appalled. I mean, who knows how many other people are having the same issue and they don't even seem to care. The customer service rep did ask me for the titles/genres I'd like to see more from, but I told him not to bother. If they don't even care that their support site doesn't work, I'm not gonna be paying them every month for a subscription. I don't want to be caught up with apathetic customer service if something goes wrong with my billing.
For those of you wondering how to get through to them, the e-mail address I used was ***@crunchyroll.com and I got a response from ***@crunchyroll.zendesk.com. I didn't find this on their website anywhere, so I don't know how long they'll answer these. I just wanted to mention them just in case they continued to work and could help someone else.
Oh, and one more thing. The site says that when you cancel your free trial membership, it's effective immediately, but that's not true. I found out the hard way.
UPDATE: I contacted Zendesk and they verified the issue with the 'contact us' link on the Crunchyroll support site, but their own policies kept them from passing on that issue to someone in Crunchyroll. (Bravo...)
Crunchyroll's Customer Service and Billing System is a Nightmare
I had a problem with Crunchyroll's customer service before, and unfortunately, it happened again. Last time, I asked a simple question about gift passes, and the agent gave me a nasty response. This time, it was about money, and I'm more than a little annoyed.
I received an email stating that my yearly pass didn't go through. I thought it was an expired card, but I couldn't find a way to recharge the bill on the site. So, I contacted customer service for help. The agent reset my account, and I was told to wait 24 hours. After waiting, I couldn't add a card to the system, and I received errors. I replied to my ticket email, stating the issues, and received a reply that they were having issues charging cards. The agent granted me 14 free days and sent me a new link. However, the link was to the current pricing structure, which was $20 higher than what I was supposed to be billed. I explained this to the agent, but she told me that I had to pay the new price because my card wouldn't charge. I checked my card, and there was nothing wrong with it. It seemed like their system screwed up, and I had to pay more. This is either fraud or a way to get people to pay the new price. I haven't received a response yet, and I'm not sure if I will. I might have to complain to my state's government.
Crunchyroll's streaming service is subpar for the price they charge, and at the new price, it isn't worth it. If they need that money so badly, they should work on their technical infrastructure and stop funding subpar stories and making them into shows. I hope Sony buys this company and does a restructuring because it's horrible.
Crunchyroll / Ellation Complaints 25
Elation mountain view
Out of the blue they started taking money from my 16 yr old daughter's personal savings and checking accounts from her hard earned money. We have never heard of this " company" nor do we have any idea as to how they got her information or were able to get these withdrawals authorized. I have tried to contact them with no success or response. I am disgusted that they would steal from a child and they should be held accountable, especially since it seems to be a continuous cycle of theft with this "company" Immoral and Disgraceful!
Claimed loss: No one's business, she's a minor
Desired outcome: Money returned with apology and explanation, " company" out of business
Disappointing Customer Service: My Experience with Crunchyroll's Japancrate Promotion
I signed up for the premium membership on Crunchyroll when they had a promotion with Japancrate. They sent me a code for a free month of Japancrate, but when I tried to use it, it didn't work. I reached out to Japancrate and they said they would take care of it with Crunchyroll. However, after three months of back-and-forth emails with both companies, I still didn't have a working code.
Japancrate told me that Crunchyroll had given out duplicate codes to many people and didn't have enough codes to make up for it. They offered me some free samples and coupons to make up for the inconvenience, but I was still disappointed that I couldn't get the free month of Japancrate that I was promised.
When I contacted Crunchyroll about the issue, they told me that it had been too long and they weren't going to honor the promotion. They didn't seem to care about customer service and I felt like they had intentionally deceived customers with a promotion they had no intention of honoring.
Overall, I was disappointed with my experience with Crunchyroll. While I enjoy their selection of anime and manga, their customer service left a lot to be desired. I hope they can improve in the future and be more transparent with their promotions.
Beware of Crunchyroll's Cancellation Process: A Review
I gotta say, I was pretty excited to try out Crunchyroll when I saw they were offering a two week free premium trial. I mean, who doesn't love free stuff, right? But boy, was I in for a rude awakening when I tried to cancel my subscription.
First off, the website kept giving me the ol' "page not found" message whenever I tried to cancel. And when I finally managed to get through to customer service via email, they were completely unresponsive. I had to send a pretty threatening email just to get them to acknowledge me.
And even then, their response was pretty lackluster. They only refunded me for three months of payments, even though they had been taking my money without authorization for over a year. And to top it off, they had the audacity to try and compare themselves to Netflix (which I never even mentioned) and act like they were doing me a favor.
Honestly, the whole experience left a bad taste in my mouth. I had to go through PayPal just to get the rest of my money back. So if you're thinking about trying out Crunchyroll, just be warned that canceling might be a nightmare.

Too Many Ads and a Scammy Free Trial: My Review of [App Name]
This app is like, so hard to use if you don't wanna pay for it. Like, seriously, they put like six ads in a 20 minute episode. That's like, way too many ads. It's like, impossible to stay interested in the show when you keep getting interrupted. And sometimes, when the ad ends, the episode doesn't even start back up in the right spot. So then you gotta like, find the right part and then watch like, three more ads. It's like, so annoying.
And don't even get me started on the 14 day free trial. It's like, a total scam. They like, make you put in your bank account info right away so that when the 14 days are up, they can just like, take your money without even asking you if you wanna keep using it. It's like, super greedy.
I really don't like this app. It's like, so crappy. They make so much money off of us by making us watch all these ads. I'm like, never gonna use it again.
Limited Anime Selection in the Philippines: My Disappointing Experience with Crunchyroll
I gave Crunchyroll a try for a month to catch up on my favorite anime shows. However, I was left feeling disappointed with the limited selection available in my region. As a viewer in the Philippines, I found that the catalog was severely lacking compared to what was offered in the US. Despite paying the same subscription fee, I was only able to access less than a quarter of the content available to US viewers.
The only show that was being simulcast on the same day as Japan was Boruto. In comparison, US viewers had access to popular shows like Black Clover, Re: Zero, and Rent-a-Girlfriend. As someone who knows that anime is a big market in the Philippines, I believe that Crunchyroll is missing out on a huge opportunity to attract more subscribers by not offering the same content as the US.
I hope that Crunchyroll will take action to address their region restrictions and provide viewers in the Philippines with the same selection of shows as their US counterparts. If they do, I have no doubt that many more people will be willing to subscribe to their services. As it stands, I will not be renewing my subscription until this issue is resolved.
Disappointing Holiday Experience with Crunchyroll: Shipping Delays and Poor Customer Service
I gotta say, I had a pretty rough experience with Crunchyroll. I ordered some Christmas gifts for my kids a whole 30 days before the big day, and boy was I disappointed with how they handled things. It wasn't just me either, seems like a lot of folks had issues with them this holiday season.
So, a week after I placed my order, they hit me with the news that there would be some shipping delays. Alright, I thought, I can handle that. But then another week went by and I still hadn't heard anything. I reached out to them and they told me they were doing everything they could to get my order to me by December 23rd. Alright, I thought, that's cutting it close but it's still doable.
But then, nothing. I reached out again and they told me my order would be shipped 2 day priority, but there was no guarantee it would arrive by Christmas. I mean, come on! I reached out one more time to ask about this and now they're not even responding to me. It looks like my kids won't be getting the gifts they wanted this year.
Honestly, I'm so disappointed in Crunchyroll. I cancelled my membership because I can't support a business that treats its customers like they don't matter. It's a shame, because I really enjoyed their service before this whole mess. But now, I'll be taking my business elsewhere.
Crunchyroll Review: A Total Rip-Off and Scam for Canceling Subscriptions
I gotta say, my experience with Crunchyroll has been nothing short of a total rip-off. I've been trying to cancel my premium membership for months now, but every time I try, I get some stupid error message saying they can't process my request at this time. I mean, come on, how hard can it be to cancel a subscription? But I'm a busy person, you know, so I just shrugged it off and figured I'd try again later. I'm sure I'm not the only one who's done that, right?
But here's the thing: it turns out that if you pay with PayPal, you can't cancel your subscription through the Crunchyroll website. Nope, you have to go through PayPal to cancel it. Why the heck didn't they tell me that in the first place? I had to go searching around online to figure that out. It's like they're trying to make it as difficult as possible for people to cancel their subscriptions.
And you know what? I bet they do it on purpose. They know that a lot of people are just gonna give up and forget about it, and then they can keep charging them every month. It's a total scam, if you ask me. And to make matters worse, they don't even have a customer service line you can call to talk to a real person about this stuff. It's like they don't even care about their customers.
Honestly, I wouldn't recommend Crunchyroll to anyone. They're just out to steal your money and make it as difficult as possible for you to cancel your subscription. Stay away from these guys, folks.
Crunchyroll Review: Frustrating Free Version with Excessive Ads and Glitches
Crunchyroll is a streaming service that offers a wide range of anime and manga content. However, my experience with the free version of the app has been less than satisfactory. The app is riddled with commercials that seem to pop up at the most inconvenient times. It's frustrating to have to sit through multiple ads just to start watching a show. And if you accidentally rewind, you have to sit through the same commercials again.
The app also freezes frequently, and I've had to restart it multiple times. It's a hassle to have to keep restarting the app, especially when you're in the middle of watching something. Additionally, the app doesn't remember which episode you were on, even if you've already watched it. This means that if you accidentally click out of an episode, you have to go through all the previous episodes again to get back to where you were.
I've since switched to using Tubi to finish watching an anime that I thought was only available on Crunchyroll. Tubi has a much better functioning app, and I haven't experienced any of the issues that I had with Crunchyroll. Funimation is also a great alternative, especially if you prefer dubbed anime.
Overall, I wouldn't recommend paying for the premium version of Crunchyroll if the free version is this frustrating to use. The app needs a lot of work before it can compete with other streaming services.
Unreliable and Scammy: My Experience with Crunchyroll's Account Cancellation
My name is Zan and I have to say, I'm not a fan of Crunchyroll. I've tried to cancel my account so many times, but it just doesn't work. I don't even use this website that much, to be honest. The only reason I signed up was because of a game I was playing. They were offering a free diamond if I signed up for an account. So, I read all the policies before signing up. They said that I could cancel anytime with no cancellation fees. But, when I tried to cancel, it just wouldn't work. I was freaking out because I used my dad's debit card and I didn't want them to take any money from him. I think they're trying to scam us.
I tried to cancel my account during the free trial, but it just wouldn't let me. It's like they're controlling it or something. If they start taking money from my dad's account, I'm going to sue them. This is not okay. I hope this review gets to the people who made this $#*!ing company. It really sucks.
Crunchyroll Review: Great Anime Selection, But Frustrating Streaming Experience and Ads
Crunchyroll is a pretty good streaming service for anime, but it's not perfect. Let's talk about the downsides. Firstly, the streaming experience can be a bit frustrating. While the anime selection is cool, it's annoying that you have to pay for ad-free viewing. I mean, why should I pay for something that I can get for free on Netflix? Also, the streaming quality can be a bit spotty at times.
Secondly, there are some bugs that can make watching anime on Crunchyroll a bit unpleasant. For example, there's this one bug where I can't see the subtitles after an ad, which can be really annoying. It's not a dealbreaker, but it can definitely take away from the viewing experience.
Finally, the ads. I get that Crunchyroll needs to promote their app, but why do they have to do it on the app itself? It's not like people who are already using the app need to be convinced to use it. And the fact that 95% of the ads are about the premium subscription is just as annoying as those YouTube premium pop-ups. It's almost impossible to watch anime in peace without the subscription, which is frustrating. Why should I have to pay for a premium subscription just to watch good anime without ads when other streaming apps like Netflix and Funimation exist where I can watch good anime for free, ad-free, without paying for a subscription?
Overall, I don't hate the app, but Crunchyroll definitely needs to fix these issues before anyone else complains about them. The anime selection is great, but the streaming experience and the ads can be a bit of a turn-off. If they can fix these issues, then Crunchyroll would be a fantastic streaming service for anime fans.
Crunchyroll Review: Not Really "Free" and Frustrating to Use
I was really excited to check out Crunchyroll because I wanted to watch some of my favorite anime shows like Attack on Titan and Dragon Ball Super. I found it on Google and it said it was "free" so I was pretty stoked. But let me tell you, it's not really free. You only get about 20% of the content for free. For example, you only get the first season of Attack on Titan and about 30 episodes of Dragon Ball Super. So, I guess that's what they mean by "free things you get".
But that's not even the worst part. Half the time, Crunchyroll just bugs out and you can't even watch anything. It's super frustrating. And when you do finally get to watch something, you have to sit through ads every time the camera angle changes. It's ridiculous. I mean, I get that they need to make money somehow, but come on.
It used to be that you could actually watch a whole show for free, like Attack on Titan. They would make a few newer episodes premium only, but then they would eventually turn back to free. But now? Every episode from season 2 to the final season of Attack on Titan is premium only. It's such a bummer.
If you're thinking about using Crunchyroll, I would honestly say don't bother. It's just not worth it. But if you do decide to use it, be prepared to waste a lot of time trying to get it to work. And if you're paying $7.99 a month for this service, well, good for you I guess. But in my opinion, it's a wacky, no good, useless, dumb service that can go do a belly flop 1000 feet up in the air onto rock hard concrete.
I am paying crunchyroll monthly to successfully watch videos on crunchyroll - but there is constant interfering on the videos.
I have complained to Crunchyroll recently time and again about the constant interfering I recieved while trying to watch videos on their website. The videos are not being allowed to show in full screen, there have been videos starting to show when I never put in one to watch!? Then there is the orange circle going round non stop on the screen when trying to watch a film. This very morning I have incountered these problems!
Desired outcome: They need to refund my money, and have the necessary 'high-on-the-ladder' professionals put safety measures in their systems to prevent any interfering from further happening on their sites, It's not like it's impossible!
Account login
After creating a free account with Crunchyroll at the beginning of 2021 (or maybe the end of 2020), I haven't been able to login to it again. I created a new account (in April 2021) and I am having a similar problem (that being that I can only login to my account on one device). I wish to know if I have done anything against the terms of service for this to happen and whether it could be fixed. Thank you however for all the great content on your site.
Desired outcome: I would like to be able to access my old account.
I'm sorry, I'm from Australia not America (I can't seem to change that on the complaint itself).
unauthorized credit card charge
I received a paypal notification that $10.62 had been sent to Ellation, Inc. From what I remember, I haven't purchased anything from this company. I don't have a Crunchyroll membership either, so I can't imagine what it's for. I believe I cancelled the payment through Paypal, but I'd like to confirm it's been cancelled. I have the Paypal transaction ID: 57C81885A6563625R. I hope this helps with location the information. I'd like to know what this transaction was for and I'd like to make sure the payment was cancelled. Thank you.
unauthorized credit card charges
I am trying to figure out what I am being charged for. As far back as I can see I am being charged on the 8th of every month for either $9.99 or $10.96. I need to know what this is for? The description says digital media. If you can tell me what this is for and I agree that it is something I signed up for then everything is fine. Otherwise, I want charges stopped ASAP.

services provided by the company
Been paying for premium, which entitles me to new subbed anime an hour after release, this works fine. However if I can't even access there website how am I meant to use their services. On top of that i'm paying for a service which I can't use.
For the last couple of hours been trying to access the site with no prevail or even signs that its gettign better
free trial membership
After my free trial they kept deducting money for the last 3 years got refunded 4.99 pounds and after that they would still owe me around 140 pounds ... asked for help they never helped, not even responded to my emails at all ... don't really know what else to do to get me money back . The reality is I was paying for something that I never agreed, it was a free membership with a free trial and that was it, I have screenshots saying that my account it was a free account and not the premium and my money kept being deducted from my acc .
premium account fee
I used my card and paid for my premium account but it was not activated. Crunchyroll took my money very fast but they did not update my account and when I contacted them they did not reply. It's now more than a week and I still can't use my account and they did not refund my money. Crunchyroll is silent, and it seems like these people don't really care.
I am very disappointed, because I used Crunchyroll for a long time and was in love with their site. I was very excited to get my premium account and of course I was extremely disappointed when I realized that I only wasted my money. I hope they'll contact me as soon as possible and we will resolve this together, but as for now I am truly upset with Crunchyroll.
they want only money!!
These guys are not here to make you happy, they are here only to take your money! They were charging me for who knows what and when I asked them to cancel my account because I did not want to deal with Crunchyroll any further, they said ok! But they did not cancel my membership and my account is still there and they still charge me! This site is only a business, and these people really don't care about their users. Very sad. I checked the reviews and the are many of bad ones, and the only way to cancel is through PayPal. I hope this works.
this company took out money from my account
This company stole money from my account. I decided to try this site because they had the English version of an anime I want to see. I joined the site and sighed up for the free trial. After I finished watching the anime I decided to cancel my account. But I couldn't do that! Every time I tried an error message appeared. I tried to contact customer service but it took them 3-5 days to respond. By the way, they don't even have a phone number! Later I received a message stating my account was successfully deleted. But those were lies! They also charged me three times for who knows what! They took $50 from me and in the end refunded me only $5! Horrible company! I really hate it!
