IF YOU OWN A PROPERTY, DO NOT HIRE CSI COMMUNITY MANAGEMENT. THEY ARE A JOKE! They do not maintain our community properly. I am a resident owner at Heatherstone Condominiums in Charlotte, NC. The residents pay $248-$310 a month in HOA fees and they are not competent enough to handle a basic duty to keep the grass cut every two weeks. Shameful. The breezeways are covered with pollen, black and green mold, and cobwebs. I have submitted several work orders month after month. The grass is currently 3 feet high, just to add a little context. Oh, and forget about calling them. They won't call you back. CSI manages 3 buildings with 15 units per building on this property. I guarantee this would not happen in other zip codes that they manage like Lake Norman and Huntersville. CSI needs to be fired! One star is too high.
Recommendation: DONOT HIRE THIS INCOMPETENT COMPANY TO MANAGE YOUR PROPERTY.

The CSI Community Management has been bothering my wife and me for a while now because they say we posted on AirBNB, but we didn't. They even took money from our bank account without us knowing, saying we posted on AirBNB while their unauthorized final notice (which was the only notice) was in the mail. This is a crime. We had to take time off work to file a police report and handle this annoying situation.

My mom lived at one of their places for old folks in ***. The name of the place is called Whispering Willows. She got attacked by some stranger who had done bad stuff before. He could just come and go from the building whenever he wanted. The story got on the news and in the paper. The people who run the place tried to hide it and didn't want my mom to talk about what happened 'cause they didn't want it to mess up their business. I wouldn't suggest this place and I'd say be careful if you're thinking about putting your loved ones here.

This company is terrible, they never answer our calls when we have questions or problems. We always have to leave a voicemail, but they never call us back. When we do manage to talk to the office manager, they always say that the person in charge of our property will contact us right away, but we never hear from them. We've been living here since mid-January and we still haven't gotten a resident parking sticker, even though we really need a handicapped spot! If we hadn't called them to ask about paying our HOA fees, they would still be unpaid. And of course, they only gave us that information on the same day. There are burnt-out lights in the walkways and parking lots that were already broken when we moved in, and they still haven't fixed them. It just shows that they don't bother with regular inspections. This company is unresponsive, lazy, and doesn't care about the residents. They deserve a rating of zero.

These past couple of years have been the worst customer service experience I've had as a homeowner in the *** Community in ***. It's all about email, email, email. But when you follow "their" protocol and wait two to three months for a response, nothing happens. I've talked to my Community Manager and my Regional Manager, but all I get is the Office Manager's voicemail. When I was bombarded with notices about mold on my home during the winter, I even had a meeting with the Board to address the issue. But my Community Manager just asks for patience and understanding, blaming family sickness and other reasons for the delayed response. Who pressure washes a *** home with vinyl siding in the winter? They also gave me a hard time about my mailbox being damaged by the renters across the street. Yet magically, I received a letter to fix it within weeks. Now I have trash from my neighbors' trash cans blowing into my yard, and despite emailing for help and suggesting a community-wide email, nothing has been done. They offered to send workers to clean the main entrance, but that hasn't been addressed either. And now there are new renters across the street causing more problems with their trucks, trailers, and machinery, and nobody answers the phone or emails in a professional manner. I guess I'll have to wait for a complaint letter and hope CSI actually fixes something!
