My wife and I went into Corby Currys store about 9.45am today to buy a tv. We looked at a few and noticed that there were only one or 2 to view, so we asked a salesthem (I do not want to misgender) so from now on I will refer the staff as them, We were told that they could not have too many tv`s on, due to something about flashing lights and sounds were not allowed due to this `ism` or what ever them called it. QUIET TIME. We looked at a TV a LG C3 Evo. We went to the (them) and asked to view it , them did, but no sound. We agreed to buy and went to pay. We asked about delivery and `them` told us we had to submit our Name..Address..Postcode...email address and phone. This we did and were told DELIVERY would be 16/12/23. We agreed this told `them` we would go and get the money. We came back 20mins later with £2000, We were then asked for all our details again, which we submitted again. Only to be told the Delivery would now be 21/12/23, we questioned this and `them told us THE COMPUTER SAYS NO.
So we said NO. My question to you is 1. What is Quiet time. 2. Do you want to sell Tv`s to Normal Adults in their 70`s, or is it ageism against us. 3. ALL WE WANTED WAS A TV,,,NOT A LECTURE ON QUIET TIMES.
WE WILL NEVER BUY FROM CURRYS AGAIN.
