I recently had a bad experience with Custom Frame Solutions. The frames I received were of poor quality and I had to pay to return them. I'm sharing my not-so-great experience with Custom Frame Solutions. On February 24th, I dished out $167.00 for a custom frame (CFSYH277) from their gold line. I was stoked to get it because the frame was going to house a special piece of art that my husband and I picked out. The purchase experience was pleasant, and everything seemed peachy.
However, when the frame finally arrived, I was in for a rude shock, and honestly, I was pretty darn upset. Instead of the dark wood with Bastille Gold Leaf that I ordered, there was a plain blonde frame in the box! My husband and I even spent hours choosing the frame, and they sent us the wrong one. As you can imagine, this was a big deal since we had an already painted art piece that matched the dark frame. And boy, was it frustrating to have to face this issue when I had paid a premium price for it.
The thing that got me more worried was that I tried reaching them on the phone to discuss the issue, but there was no person to speak to, so it was all done via email. They sent me an email about a "framing expert" who'd contact me, but I didn't hear from anyone, and later on, there was an email trying to sell me their Canadian website service. The nerve!
As of 3/31/21, the issue is unresolved, and the thought of buying the frame elsewhere seems likely. I'm sure you can see why. And did I mention that they didn't even offer to cover shipping for the return of the incorrect frame? It's a mess.
I'd be more forgiving if they corrected the issue urgently and compensated me for disrupting my plans. I want the frame I ordered to be shipped right away. Wow, let me just say that my experience with Custom Frame Solutions was not great at all. I ordered a total of seven frames from them, and unfortunately, the three biggest and most expensive ones were not able to be assembled properly. Honestly, they were nothing but an absolute disaster -they were practically worthless.
After contacting the company, I demanded that they send me a shipping label so that I could return the products and receive a credit back to my card. But, as it turns out, their return policy is going to cost me even more money. I have to pay to send the frames back, plus an additional 25% restocking fee. Can you believe that?!
Furthermore, although I sent them pictures as they requested, they kept demanding other pictures from me. They then had the audacity to say I was late in telling them about the problems, even though they had dragged their feet in responding to me for weeks. Honestly, it just feels like this company does not care about their customers at all.
If you're thinking about buying from Custom Frame Solutions, my advice would be "DON'T TRY THEM." Trust me, you'll just end up with a headache and a whole lot of disappointment.

Finally, after I received the frame and it was basically unusable because of how badly it was cut, they finally responded. But guess what? They weren't willing to take responsibility for their mistakes, and still expected me to pay shipping and a restocking fee on the terrible frame. It makes me so mad to think about!
