I placed an order on the Debonairs app using a 150 voucher ([protected]) on Wednesday 13th September, and my order timed out. The voucher was redeemed at this point and I received an email saying they refunded my credit card. This is concerning as I didn’t even use a card to place an order, I have no idea why the refund was processed that way.
I called the store I placed an order with ( Van Riebeeck, kempton park) a couple of times and they did not answer the phone, which prompted me to stop working and go to their store.
I got to the store, explained the situation and the first thing they said was I should call vodacom as it out of their hands, which was alarming as why would a refund be issued if the voucher was not redeemed. Another thing that was concerning is the owner would not even come out to talk to me and it seems like a recurring thing as the manager told me even before he went to talk to him that he would not come out.
The manager then told me that he called yumbi and confirmed that the voucher was indeed redeemed and that I was refunded (not sure which method was used) and then I would be getting an sms\email with a code I can use to order. He advised that I should call him back if I don’t receive the code within 1h30 and when I did call he just did not answer the phone.
I called customer care later on the same day explaining the above, they advised I should send an email which I did, and they said I would get feedback within 48hrs.
48 hrs passed and I still haven’t received feedback, I called again explaining the situation and I was giving another 48hrs turn around time. This is ridiculous.
Debonairs redeemed my voucher and I still am without my voucher or pizza.
