We recently flew to Hawaii through Delta. We left Cincinnati airport on Thurs Jan 26, 2023, at 6:39 AM. We arrived in Los Angeles CA at approx. 8:44 AM California time. We originally were scheduled to leave LA for Kona at 4:00 PM, but Delta changed that time and eventually left around 5:30 PM. So, we were in the LA airport over 8 hours. We were told we had to claim our luggage and re-check it in but could not do that until it was less than six hours till our connecting flight was scheduled for departure. Therefore, we had to drag our luggage around in LA for over 2 1/2 hours! Then when we went to check it in, they charged us an additional $30 to re-check it in (we had already paid $30 in Cincinnati). We were not aware of these additional charges, and we were very surprised and disappointed that Delta didn't automatically transfer our luggage to our next flight. Our confirmation number was HJ41GC.

Payment delays, flight booking challenges
1/28/23- Booked round trip airfare from US to Kenya. After purchase, noted the 1st outbound US leg and the final leg returning to the US flights were missing from the confirmation. Contacted Delta chat and was informed those two legs were being rescheduled and I could wait for the new flights to be assigned or book new. Representative assigned new flights but could not process the ticketing on their side. Transferred me to new agent who said the new flights were more expensive and could not be booked for the same fare and offered to find new flights. After 4 hrs new flights were booked at the correct fare, which were the exact same flights with the previously missing legs. However there was still a ticketing issue. 1/29/23 - Chatted with AmEx who confirmed the purchase was approved. Chatted with Delta who wanted to charge my card again. If not I would lose the reservation. 1 hour on chat. 1/30/23 - Chatted with Delta and AmEx again. AmEx provided the confirmation number to Delta, Delta still assured that a payment had not been made and asked to charge again. After several more exchanges Delta specialist said glitch in the payment system. If the funds were not immediately picked up the system would not collect the funds. I now have to check every day until the pending charges are returned and call back to try the purchase again. AmEx can not expedite the cancellation of a pending charge. 2 hrs on chat. Now I have to check with AmEx every day until pending charges are removed and then call back to Delta and purchase my flight again. The exact same thing happened a few years ago between Delta and AmEx. I saved a copy of the many hours on chat back then and filed a previous complaint at Delta website with no response.
Desired outcome: Check for potential software or payment issues between co-branded Skymiles AmEx and the Delta booking system. My experience seems to be limited to this combo. Convenience credit or upgrade for future flight. I would appreciate a response
Delta 2789 15a & 15b october 19, 2022 - delta comfort+ jfk-lax
On October 19, 2022, my husband and I were excited to finally make a trip to see family in CA. Our flight was booked early on June 28, 2022. We paid extra for Comfort Seats next to each other. However, our seats were changed. Upon receiving our boarding passes, we discovered the seats were not next to each other. Finally, that changed, but the seats given us in the Comfort area could not recline as they were the last row and against equipment. It was an extremely uncomfortable flight across the country. The seats should never have qualified for "Delta Comfort+". In the light of this fact, we are requesting a refund adjustment. Looking forward to hearing from you soon. Thank you for your attention. P.S. Our Return Round Trip back to JFK was fine although the airline had to adjust our seats once again because we were not seated together as booked. At least we did have real "Comfort Seats".

Delayed flight and terminal change from b-2 to e-2
I arrived for my flight two hours ahead of schedule as instructed was assigned a wheelchair after checking in was taken to B-2 terminal after waiting an hour and a half we were instructed to go to terminal E-2. Was told there were no wheelchairs available to take me over to E-2 terminal. I attempted to walk, because of a hip replacement and breathing problems I had great difficulties in getting to the escalator once down on the lower-level I took the train to the E-terminal after managing all that discomfort getting to the E-2 terminal myself and other passengers were told to go back to B-2 terminal. I was so weak I almost passed out from the long trip from terminal to terminal. Once we arrived in Los Angeles, we were told that our bags were on another flight which would arrive in 2hrs. Was instructed to wait for the bags or return back to the airport in 2 hrs to pick up my bags.
After all my troubles on this Delta flight I was given 5000 SkyMiles and Complimentary meal voucher. This made me feel like someone had just slapped me across my face.
Flight with a pet
My son, an active duty soldier at Ft. Stewart in GA, was flying in today, 1/07/23, for his Grandfather's funeral here in WA State. He was told by your agents when he booked his flight that, since he was on active duty, he could ship his dog in cargo for an additional fee, which he paid. After arriving for his flight this morning, he was told that only if he was on PCS Orders could he ship the dog, so he would have to carry it on (small dog, 20 lbs.). So he already paid his money for the dog, he went through check in with the dog, was let on the plane with the dog by a uniformed agent at the gate, and only AFTER the flight was fully boarded, and AFTER his luggage was stowed with the checked bags, just minutes before takeoff, was he told he couldn't bring the dog on board.
Obviously, he had to get off the plane. But, his bags flew off with no issues. Now, he has to arrange for a dog sitter, pray his bags make it back, and book another flight. I did mention that the reason for this flight is to attend his Grandfather's funeral?... time is of the essence.
Oh, and since finding all this out this very morning, my wife and I have been on the phone for about four hours, mostly on hold, disconnected at least twice and finally got assurance that our son's card would be re-imbursed for the money you charged him to ship the dog even though at the last possible second you did not provide the service he paid for.
Desired outcome: I want Delta to ship the dog from Savannah, GA to Seattle WA at no charge.
Wheel chair access requested never received .
I had a total knee replacement surgery 7 weeks ago. When I made my reservation I requested a wheelchair online when I booked my flight to Fort Myers Florida on December 18,2022.. No one helped and at the ticket counter they said they didn't have access to one at the time. I had to walk from TSA precheck to Delta A74 with no assistance.
When I finally got to the gate I asked the check in counter if I could board first and get some ice for my knee.
This was totally unexpected and unwarranted. I have flown Delta Airlines for years. I am upset and would give your service a D. I am PISSED

Delayed, Cancelled Flights, Unprofessional Behavior, Misinformation, Deception
On Wed May 25th 2022 at 10:10pm at Gate T4 we (Me, My Wife and our Son prepared to board our plane Delta Flight #DL 1687 at the Airport in Atlanta, Ga heading for Houston, Texas our flight was delayed twice then cancelled I have written documents detailing our horrific ordeal we got vouchers for food and a hotel but they ran outta rooms. we had to sleep in the airport without our medication.
Desired outcome: Food Vouchers, and a voucher for $100 deducted off of our next flight. A Full refund for the Full cost of our tickets, a paid flight roundtrip and hotel for 7 to 10 days to the location of our choice with food and amenities included.
Comfort zone seat /no running air
I was on a flight from Syracuse New York to Memphis Tennessee and it was the worst experience of my life,

I plan on writing a story to the news company’s so they can see first hand the it was not a good experience but felt like we was compacted on a slave ship and a racist guy behind me was slamming his tray so hard the people i the back head it and the flight attendant did nothing, am still is so much pain from that trip

Sky miles
This airline claims that it awards Sky Miles for flights, and they do - sometimes. At other times they do not. I have had multiple phone calls and emails with Delta customer service since November trying to get them to award me the miles for flights flows in early November. These miles were put into KLM by mistake, taken *out* of KLM and Delta has refused to import them after repeated requests. They know this situation in detail, there is no misunderstanding or lack of knowledge. This is a conscious decision on their part.
I am a long-time customer of Delta and am surprised to be writing this, but IMO they are engaging in poor, unprofessional, almost dishonest business practices.

On 4th of December 2022, I encountered a very bitter experience, some ticketing staffs of delta airlines. I had a 7 am flight from DFW to BWI. For fear not to miss this early flight, I decided to stay awake, and left at 3 am for the airport. At the airport, I was given a 2:45 pm flight ticket.
However, on the 3rd of December 2022, I contacted delta airlines customer service number [protected]) and asked if it was possible for me to have a later flight time. The representative said a 2:45 flight was available. I told him that would be too late. He put me on hold and said he would still search. I was on from11:19am to 12:43pm, when the phone was hung up on me. I decided to use the live chat since it was easy to get a live chat representative. He searched and the final conclusion was that he could not find an alternative flight. And besides, delta policy does not provide changes options for my ticket category.
When I got the 2:45pm ticket, left and only discovered that it was 2:45pm flight later. I went back for them to correct it. A white lady serving on the desk adjacent to one serving SkyMiles customers, told me the ticket could not be changed because I asked for the 2:45pm flight. Each time I attempt to say something, this lady would interrupt, telling me I do have anything to explain. I just managed to tell her, that I spent a sleepless night just because I wanted to be at the airport early so, I don't miss the 7am flight. The supervisor a black slim woman of an average height came out. I moved to meet her on the other end. But the white lady and one other black lady next to her kept interrupting whenever I was about to say a word or explain myself, with yells saying I have not explanation. And this white lady kept on making fun about the statement I made regarding my sleepless night. "She did not sleep last night". Repeating this phrase over and over. She even said I bought a cheap ticket, and I should not expect them to reserve a place for me, if genuine customers show up. The supervisor told me the ticket could not be changed the second time. Tears flowed out from my eyes because the phone hung up on me without any conclusion, live chat told me the ticket could not be changed and the ticketing desk would not only let me explain myself, but this white lady kept on making fun of the statement I made with a loud tone while customers on the queue got the information, which meant for them.
In humiliation and frustration, I left. I decided to call Priceline who issued me my ticket. The lady advised me to call customer service of delta airlines. I was fortunate to meet Sophie who answered the call and listened to me. She asked me to hurry back to the desk and get a 7:30 flight because the plane would be leaving in an hour and 30 minutes time.
When this white lady who had people to service spotted me in front of another ticketing staff who had no one to served she shouted, asking me to come back to her. She must be the only one to serve me. When I told her that I am not comfortable to come to her because she was too rude to me, she said I was also rude to her. I told by asking her to let me explain myself because I have the right to do so is not being rude. How was I rude to her? I asked, but she said nothing. She continued yelling and vowing that I would not leave the airport on any other flight but the 2:45pm one. Another black who I suppose is a supervisor asked me how she could help me, but this white lady and the black tall girl would not let me open my mouth. I told them to let me answer the question that was being directed to me, but they continued just as they had done before. The supposed supervisor said my ticket could not be changed without giving me the opportunity to explain my just as in the first case.
Fortunately, I begged Sophie should stay on the phone until I have the ticket. I turned to her and asked if she was still on, and she said yes. I asked the supervisor to talk to her. She asked if she was a Priceline worker. I said she was a delta airlines worker. Sophie asked her to issue me the 7:30am ticket. She said my ticket was a complimentary ticket which is not qualified for amendments. Sophie said it was a special consideration. It was then that the black girl rushed to me and said she would help me.
I will be happy if appropriate measures are taken with regards to this complain. I am still suffering the psychological, emotional and even physical effect of that day.
Desired outcome: Compensation for the psychological. emotional and physical effect, which I am still having up to date.
Travel agency booking on behalf of delta and scamming

Stolen personal items from my luggage.
Flight home from vacation. Connecting flight in Atlanta, GA. The luggage had to be rechecked since we were coming from Jamaica. My suitcase came to carousel in a plastic bag, the zipper was torn and all of my stuff was fallen out. I saw that my jewel box was in the same place behind the zipper in the separator, so I took it and put it in my purse and only when we were up in the air I opened and it was empty. So the delta employee saw it when the suit case was check throughout of the security, they saw that it's first class suitcase, and the tag on it was showing that the connection flight is in the 30-40 minutes. The regular thief would have taken it with the box, but this most of been employee, who knew that if there will be no box I would have to stay, but this way we were on the hurry and went home to Ohio. I filed complaint at the airport, right after we landed, I also filed report with the Cleveland PD right there in airport, but Delta decided to completely ignore me, NOT A SINGLE EMAIL OR CALL [protected]). Also I would like to say that when I picked up my broken luggage I went to customer service of Delta and asked for help because I could not check my bag to the flight like that. At the counter were 2 guys, who were talking to each other and only after 4rth "excuse me, can you help me" one of them turned to me and said "what you want me to do?" He saw the case, then girl came to them, they were keep talking and laughing very laud. I was staying there and asked again and again, so after many attempts one of them turned to me again and said "tape?" Any way, we ended up to take tape from him that was all I am bot describing of all the humiliations and all the horrible words they called me and said to me we had to leave without any help! First Class Customer! How would you like that? But my husband managed to take pictures and video of those wonderful employees of Delta.

E-credits
I requested an e credit on several tickets that were due me by a company: [protected] $438.60, [protected] $212.60 and [protected] $482.20, for a total of $1,133.40, Delta arbitrarily sends me 3 emails stating that (after 12 in Delta's messaging, talking to several not so nice supervisors) and over 6 hours talking to a live representative, I requested my money to go back to someone else's
credit card. That money is due me and you allowed someone else to get it. The travel agency is stating that they didn't request it and they have told both of us that 2 of the transactions were done at the airport (which has nothing to do with me). I am a self employed contractor and these legs are part of my compensation. If I elect to use them or how is my business. Delta allowed someone to reverse my e credit but really can't tell me who did it. I have no way at this point to recover my money. Delta, you owe me this money and it ]'s now 20.5 hours of me trying to get someone to listen to me! I am a Gold almost Platinum member and have been a devoted sky miles member. These credits assure me that I can fly my carrier of choice... until there is a problem. I should not be made to suffer for something Delta cannot answer. I was even sent an email thanking me for my 3 request and the resolution: 3 credits that went to someone else! I demand my money back and be compensated for all the time I am currently using to get this resolved. I am on my 9th agent and 4th supervisors. Everyone is giving me the run around with no resolution in sight so far.
Desired outcome: I want to be compensated for my 21 plus hours of chasing my money, my ecredit back of $1,133.40 and give me the few points need to be a Platinum member. And an Apology. My time is valuable too.
Rebooking issue
My name is Franciner Diane Riley, and my sky mile member is #[protected]. On Tuesday, November 15, 2022, I was scheduled to fly out of Memphis, Tenn. DL 2477 at 4:00pm. Delta overbooked and requested for five volunteers who would be willing to stay overnight and take a 6:00 am flight on Wednesday, November 16, 2022, on flight DL 1648. I and four other individuals agreed to receive $800.00 gift card, $15.00 meal ticket and a room for the night.
After several hours of working with the staff to reserve our room, we were taken to a hotel in Mississippi. By the time we got to the hotel, it was pass 8:00pm. Everyone had a room except me. Not only did they fail to provide me a room, the hotel and the hotels surrounding the area were booked. Linda Wilkerson had a one bedroom with a pullout coach. She offered me the coach for the night.
I called Delta customer service and they said that they could not do anything about the room arrangement. They gave me a number to call which was [protected] but no one picked up the phone. The next day, I spoke to someone at the counter at Delta about my experience. They were not helpful and kept making me feel like I my concerns were not important. They kept interrupting me and not allowing to express my concerns.
Desired outcome: I would appreciate an acknowledgement of what I encountered and some form of compensation for them failing to provide me a room for the evening.
You as a company
My wife and I scheduled our flight to hanoi in may. You cancelled our flight november 1st. This put us 12 hours behind in hanoi and we lost a scheduled tours because of your incompetence. You put us up in a hotel without a food voucher. You then placed us on a flight to seoul with a 30 min layover. This is impossible to complete and we had to wake up even earlier to get to the airport and change the flights again. This put us in tokyo and then hanoi. Again you caused us to lose out on a pre scheduled tour!
Two bathrooms malfunctioned mid flight! You changed our seats we chose.
For the flight back, your incompetence led to a two hour wait for us to even check in to go home. At every turn, you refused to allow us to upgrade. Upon entry into seoul, we were met by another set back and our seat again were not what we chose! And again no upgrade.
How did you repay us? You gave us a delta airlines credit.
Who the [censored] wants to fly with your incompetent team if you cannot satisfy a honeymoon couple and even have working toilets!
Desired outcome: You failed already. You not once made an effort to retain my business except for a pathetic gift card to your company
Baggage Services
My wife checked in at the Delta curbside baggage check-in at the Logan Airport in Boston with a final destination in Nome, AK. The baggage not only had food, but also clothing essential for her work and even survival in AK. She stated her final destination repeatedly. Delta only carried them to Anchorage and are now saying that it was her responsibility to get the baggage transferred to AK Airlines and are now holding her baggage in Anchorage waiting for someone to pick it up because they can't be bothered to correct their mistake and simply take them to the Anchorage AK Airlines baggage service counter to be delivered.
Desired outcome: Take the baggage to its final destination as agreed when purchasing travel tickets from Delta Airlines.
Delta gifts cards
I received 3 $100 delta gift cards. When I went to use them they show “closed”. I contacted Delta via phone, waited over and hour so tried chat. Using chat I got help fairly quickly. That Delta rep didn’t know how to help with a gift card issue so passed me to partner support rep. Here is that rep response. “Thank you, Don. I would rally love to help you on this however this is not scope of my expertise. Please remain on this chat they will accommodate you as soon as they are available. One moment please.”
Here is next response.
“We are experiencing higher than normal messaging volumes and we apologize for the long waits.
The estimated wait time to message with our next available specialists is 110 minutes.

I waited over 3 1/2 hours and no one ever got back to me.
So…. Am I out $300? Because Delta can service their customers and their technology doesn’t work.

Ordered 2 $50 Amazon Gift Cards and realized they were gift cards thru Delta! Asked Delta for a refund and was told it was nonrefundable! So I'm out $100 easily for Delta gift cards which would never be redeemed!
