This company offered a free trial for delivery charges only. Gave 10 days for trial but cannot reach
them to cancel account on the 8th day. However, when inquiring about my credit card, my company
say that Diet Max Cleanse has already charged $87.47 to my account and I have not been given a chance
to cancel since they do not answer their phone and the email address is not available. I did go in to the
original site and did an unsubscribe. I have received the trial capsules and after taking just one capsule
became sick with a heart rate of 109 beats per minute. I was charged the $3.87 for shipping of this
sample and am willing to pay that charge. But, my trial period ends today and they cannot be reached.
My credit card company say charged my account for the new order on Aug. 11 which is 5 days before my
trial period is to end? They say they will delete the charge. I am very unhappy with the company. I
think they are scamming people!

I ordered this product online on 21 September and it still hasn't arrived. I called to cancel the order today and was sent an email with a link to cancel it. I submitted the cancellation (following the instructions about all lower case letters, no spaces and punctuations etc) and was told that I will receive an email shortly to confirm my cancellation for my records. I still have not received the email and I am thinking of calling them up again just to confirm my cancellation

I started with the trial 9-3-10 was charged 87.97 on the 13th Sept and and yet again today! With all these complaints that I have read, it's obvious this is a scam. What am I to do? What has everyone else done so that it will help everybody who is falling prey to this? Please advise.

I had to submit the thing a couple times and it finally went through because I received a cancellation email pretty quickly. Make sure your digital signature is your full name, all lowercase and no spaces. What a ridiculous requirement! I received my trial yesterday in the mail but I am afraid to try both products.

Annoyed user...CHECK CREDIT CARD statement to make sure you didn't get charged for the bottle! Basically what they do is send you the bottle for your "free trial period" (which is 10 days including the day you ordered, plus weekends) and then they will also charge you around $87 for that same bottle a few days before your trial is up... Since you ordered the 21st your 10th day is today!

I would advise that anyone who gave these companies their credit/debit card #'s to get new card numbers issued to be on the safe side. They may "mistakenly" charge your account after you've cancelled and then it will be really difficult to get the $ back. Also, you can't be sure your card information wasn't shared with any other companies...

I just received my bottle about 2 days ago with just 3 days to try the product, but that's definitely not enough time to even see results. After 6 days of waiting for the pills to arrive I got fed up and searched the Internet. This is what came up: http://acaiberrysite.com/beware-of-free-trial-offers-for-acai/
After reading what it was about, diet max was listed on the scammer's list twice.

I tried calling to cancel right after reading the article, but it took about 4 days to get someone on the line (the last day for my trial) to cancel. The cs said to expect a cancellation email within an hour, so I hope I can get a refund.

Not to discourage anyone, but it's unlikely you will get a refund. 2 days ago, I got an email from the Better Business Bureau telling me that they contacted Diet Max and gave them 14 days to resolve my complaint. Today I got an email from the Florida Attorney General telling me that they have ALREADY been under investigation. They sent me a form to fill out and to sign witnessed by a notary public that can be used in possible future litigation. My guess is that they will return under a different company name and continue to scam people.

I had to close my account at the bank because thes people were just taking money hand ove fist from my account. I was offered a refund for any returned unopened product, but there would be a 45% restocking fee. Unfortunately, they have charged me $87.47 three times and I only had one bottle of product shipped to me besides the "Free Trial" bottle which of course I had opened. In addition to the $87.47 charges, there have been smaller charges of $3-$5 made randomly throughout the month. Check your bank or credit card statements carefully! I was also threatened, in writing when I canceled my "Membership", that if I reported this to my credit card company and tried to get a charge back, they would report my name to an internet fraud database and destroy my internet credit. I am submitting all of this paperwork to my bank who will forward it to the Visa Fraud Dept.

My husband I have never ordered anything from this company. Somehow they got a hold of my husband's debit card number. First they took out one penny so they could fish around and see if there was money in the account. Then they took out $99.97. We got that money back from the bank and my husband closed his debit card. However, before the bank got it closed they took out another $99.97. I called them in Florida at the 800 number and basically hung up in the woman's face. She could barely speak English and kept telling me to return the product. Hello! How can I return something I didn't get. They also had a bogus address attached to our name. So now I am fighting again to get the other $99.97 back. I have reported them to the BBB and I am going to report them to the Attorney General's Office.

I have the very same problem. I've been charged over $400. and haven't yet got it canceled. They say it is canceled then when I call again say it isn't . I send the stuff back and they tell me they didn't get it. They haven't offered a refund no matter what I do. They say they can't do that. I have talked to them eight times. I can prove it by my phone bill but they said they had only talked to to three. I've been charged $2.95, $87.47, $1.49, 2.95, $4.99, and another.$87.47 this last month. This was after they sent me a e-mail saying it had been canceled. Now they say it wasn't and they say they canceled it again. This time my credit card co. was on the line and have it on my record but I'm still out over $400. This is all after sending all the products back to them and only taking one pill because it didn't agree with me. I tried the Better Business Bureau but couldn't come up with a name it would take. I've never ever gotten into anything like this again. I am ready to cancel my credit card.

I've run into the same problems as everyone else with this company. I ordered the product Diet Max Cleanse 9/14/10 and received it on 9/24/2010. I received my credit card statement on 10/1/2010 & found they had charged me $3.87 plus $1.49 on 9/14/2010 and an additional $87.47 on 9/24/10. I called the [protected] number on the credit card statement immediately and was told the 10 day trial started on the day of order; and that they couldn't help it if the post office was slow. I said I hadn't even opened the product yet & offered to return it for refund. They refused a full $87.47 refund but offered a partial. I refused & said I would call my bank & the Better Business Bureau. My bank said they were familiar with this company and filed a dispute for me. The credited my account and placed a block against any future charges by that company. I then called Diet Max again to make sure I would get no future shipments or charges. They also gave me the speal about sending me a link to a "cancellation form" with instructions about filling it out with no punctuation, spaces, ; a password, etc. I'm still waiting for the email. After reading some othe the other complaints on this site, I called my bank about the form & was told not to fill it out since it would give them ammo against the dispute if it contained the statement someone else reported about accepting the original charges. I've also reported them to the Better Business Bureau, FTC, & Attorney General's office. Hopefully I've learned my lesson.

My husband just dealt with these idiots yesterday! We didn't even sign up for a free trial offer- supposedly it was charged to our account through some credit check scam. There were also a couple of international fees, whatever those are. And their website is super suspicious. He was told by the teller at B of A to be very firm and demand a refund. If they don't give you one, call back and speak to another rep until you get someone who will. He managed to get a visa gift card for the amount charged. BE STERN! Do not take a partial refund. You are entitled to the entire amount.

New development...the "pending" charge on my credit card for $90 by DietMax was removed from my C.C. statement today, either because my credit card company put a "block" on them from charging my card or maybe because of the complaint I filed with the BBB. The BBB contacted them and gave them 14 days to resolve my dispute with them (I want a refund for the charges they made). Here's the wild part...when I got home from work today, DietMax called me but under a different company name just like someone on here mentioned (they use several different company names)...it was the same A-hole James that I spoke with several other times. He insisted it was not the same company and he tried to get me to sign up with them. My guess is the "block" prevented them from charging me again so they are trying to bill my CC under the other company's name now. I told him that they are under investigation for internet fraud by the BBB, the FL Attorney General and the FBI internet crime division and that he will be going to prison for a very long time. He got real scared and tried to be apolgetic and get off the phone.

This company is ridiculous! Normally, I don't fall for this kind of stuff but I thought I went through everything and checked them out but it was prior to all these new posts that are now appearing. I'm still trying to get money back for these unauthorized charges.

I've submitted a complain to the Better Business Bureau in Florida and suggest everyone do that so that they can stop or at least regulate this company.

http://www.bbbsoutheastflorida.org

Also, let your bank know right away and you may have to pay to stop additional charges from posting to your account. It may be worth it in the long run.

ANH1985...your husband was very lucky to get the visa gift card...I hope it is legit. I DID try the "being stern" thing and I spoke with ALL the supervisors there and they assured me that my subscription would be cancelled and given a full refund...I did this same procedure on THREE separate occasions. They just string you along to pacify you after spending an hour at a time on the phone with them. DO NOT be surprised if in a few weeks, they make another charge to your credit card, that's how they operate. Once they have your CC number, they will continue to use it until you either get a new credit card number or put a block on them from using it.

Here's another thing- they had an entirely different phone number and email address than what we have. Also, the guy on the phone said he sent the cancellation email but every time we checked, there was nothing there. Finally, after repeating "have you sent it yet? I don't have it!" 100 times, they sent the email (not before they said to call back in a month if we haven't received the cancellation yet). All I can say is, be very stern and repetitive. Get a refund and a confirmation number for the cancellation. Don't settle for less.

I spoke too soon in a previous post...Diet Max charged my CC TWICE today, without my authorization...for $87.47 and for $2.95. I called my CC company to dispute the charges and they will remove the charges within 48 hours and charge it back to Diet Max. I can't see them getting any money from Diet Max since it's a scam company using several company names, addresses and phone numbers. I'm sure before this is all over, I will have to be issued a new credit card number.

I am so upset, I just found out I got scammed. Then I found this site. Wish I had found this site first. But I had read a news womans testamony about this product. She made it sound legit. I call the number on the bottle and cancled the acount I didn't know I had with them. They say they are going to refund me but minus 45% of what they charged, I will see in 48 hours. God I feel the fool. Never think it's ever that simple and straight forward.

Isn't there a state fraud unit for consumers in each state and federal fraud investigation unit where we can collectively report this company? No one ever answers the telephone when I call, but I've already submitted a fraud investigation with my bank have cancelled my card and my bank will credit my account after this investigation. This company, whom I have no idea what its name is, has to be stopped!

Wish I had visited this site before submitting my order. I have also been charged for shipping, convenience and then the full price for a product that when it arrived was not even what I ordered! Thank you all for sharing your phone numbers etc... I finally got ahold of someone using the number on the original comment [protected] and was persistent and forceful until I was told I would be sent a cancellation e-mail just as others of you have been told. I followed the instructions and printed everything for my records. I cancelled my bank card and was told that in order to dispute the charge I would have to file a police report. Every page had a different contact number and I will list those in case one of them is different than what you might have already tried. Nothing they sent specifically said they would issue a refund but I can only hope at this point. I made sure to tell the customer service rep that I would be filing a police report if I did not receive a full refund. If you can't get a hold of someone try this...
http://www.cancelsite.com/mc

then enter your info just as it appears on your order confirmation and enter "forgot" on the CS Rep line. I don't know if that will work without having spoken to a rep but if they don't answer the phone it's worth a try. As the other reviewer noted -- use lowercase, no punctuation and sign it with your first and last name, all lowercase with no spaces.

The phone number that worked for me: [protected]
others listed on the cancellation e-mail and linked site: [protected] & [protected]

They promised me a full refund too, all 3 times I called explaining I cancelled during the PREVIOUS calls. I never got one. They just jerk you around until you get off the phone with them. They are very good at it. Some good news...today, my credit card company cancelled the last 2 charges they just tried to make on my card, so I don't have to pay them and DietMax is blocked from charging my card again. Hopefully they don't try to bill me under the other company names that they use. There is another website out there by some TV news network, I think in Florida warning people about being scammed by this company. Check it out if you get a chance.

I just checked my bank statement and noticed that I had a pending authorization for $87.47..Then I double checked and saw that I was charged on 09/14/10 the amount of $87.47 and $2.62 and now I am being charge the $87.47 and $2.95 again!
WTF!
when I made my original purchase nothing was said about a trial offer
I didn't even have to sign up for anything..just made a "normal" purchase
WELL...
I called me bank and they told me to call the company and guess what..Diet maz's systems were "down"
they said to call back
So i opened a claim with my bank and they are giving me a temporary credit for the first set of charges
i have to wait for the new charges to post to my account before i can dispute them
and my bank had to put a hold on my card in order to stop any further charges
now i have to wait 7-10 days before i will have a new card
this is ridiculous
i think a lawyer needs to get involved since we are all being screwed over

I ordered product on 9/1 and received it 9/10. On 9/11 they charged my account $87.47. I called on 9/13 and was told my account was cancelled and would not be charged any more and billing would look into refunding my account. On 9/29 nothing had been refunded yet so I called back and was sent an email with a link to cancel the account again. And again I was told I would not be charged again. On 10/1 I was charged another $87.47 and a $2 transaction fee. So Icalled again a 3rd time and talked to 2 people. They do not want to refund my money or do anything about either charge even though I was told on 9/13 that the account was closed.

This company has to be stopped.

One born every minute - add me to the list. Luckily, I put 3.87 on credit card. My credit card co said once charge posts (yep-they tried to run one through for $87 TODAY - one day before trial period ended and SAME day I rec'd sample) I could call and report fraud, and they would do the dispute. Down side is I have to get a new credit card #, but this is one person that has LEARNED HER LESSON! Too bad I was feeling all fat & bloaty one day, eh?

What a laugh read terms of services by Hate Dietmax comment The company obviously doesnt follow their terms Charging your credit card 6 days after order. What a joke of a 10 day trial when you dont even receive the product until 12days after order and they send the wrong product... Equation: wrong product No trial and unauthorised bank transaction... No chance to cancel but Cancel your Credit card so they cant take no more. Also Added international fees. Spells FRAUD and SCAM to me... BEWARE...
This is what I sent them still waiting for an answer fingers crossed...
In terms and conditions written by your company, we are bound as a customer #1853540 to follow. Why dont you follow it .
1) Received wrong product on the 6/7/10 Today I received your product Maximum Burn Extreme which I didnt order anyway as I am a female and not a male.I placed an order for a 10 day trial of acai-diet.
2)Ordered product 24/9/10 got charged on the 30/9/10 which makes 6days not 10days you clearly state that you charge after 10days of order. So this is fraud.
3)You clearly state will receive within 3-7days Post date stamped 27/9/10 3 days after my order. Then you charge my credit card 3 days after that.
4) I have tried several times to cancel your product within the 10 days trial which you state in your terms and conditions on the 4/10/10 with my emails failing to reach you and being returned. Not being able to reach you by phone either.
5) How can you trial a product for 10days once ordered when you dont receive it until12days after order? I'm still scratching my head...
6)Not happy with product and want to cancel your so called trial period which obviosly didnt happen, and all subscriptions and emails you also charge for. Please cancel all transactions and refund unauthorised bank transaction of $87.47 Dehlia From Adelaide South Australia :(

I see all the complaints on "DIETMAX & CLEANSE" !
We ordered the product Sept 15. Have yet to receive it! We were allowed a 10 day free trial. On Sept 24 we were billed 92.63 for Diet Max. Not requested as we do not need diet! On Sept 26th we were billed $95.22 for Diet Cleanse !
This is a total SCAM! They do not answer their phone, nor is there a message answer system.
DO NOT BUY THESE PRODUCTS.

I was also scammed by this company and charged $87.47 to my credit card. I did not receive the product until 3 days after my order of the "trial". I called the day after I received the product because my credit card was charged the above amount. They said they would e-mail be a confirmation to cancel and refund my money. I waited for the e-mail an did not receive it. I called them back 3 days later and was told my trial was over and I would not receive a refund now. They said I was supposed to call them within an hour if I did not receive an e-mail when I called the first time, this was conveniently never mentioned so of course I was past my "trial" period. When I called them the 2nd time a miraculously received the e-mail the sent within 2 minutes! Why can't the BBB go after these people and make them refund the money that they are ripping people off?I am canceling my card (of course I will have to pay more money to cancel it through no fault of mine)!

Seems I also have become their victim, I also thought the same as the others and ordered the Free Trial on 10/4 but later saw my account was emptied by som £63+.94p and this morning another £1 for foreign exchange etc. I did phone the company the same day and was told the account is closed but will be charged $9.99 for cancellation, till today I have not received any email confirming that? How do I tackle this? I perhaps try and stop the payments thru my bank.

Well at least you guys ordered the product. I have never even hear of this company or their products. I hopped on my online banking today to see that I was charged $87.47 three days ago and $2.95 yesterday. I have never received a product from them nor care too. My husband and I are in excellent physical condition because we are both in the military. I made one phone call and spoke to Kathy who took my name and phone number and couldn't find any record of me. Huh? I wonder why? Maybe because I never ordered anything. I had to google "diet max" just to find a phone number. Kathy then refused to transfer me to a supervisor. I hung up and called immediately back and got agenpt 60. He insisted on going through the same process and hit a dead end also. I told him I wanted to speak to a supervisor immediately. He tried to say he would have one call back later today, but I insisted I speak to one now. He then put me on hold for about 6 minutes before transferring me to a supervisor. I was transferred to Ella and she was of no further help. She kept questioning me about other people with my last name. Which happens to be Smith. Then she actually wanted to know if I would give her my credit card information?! I said no way of course. After a 45 minute phone call she said she would transfer my information onto billing and that I needed to call back in 3-5 business days. Not happening. I immediately got off the phone called the police who said I needed to fill out dispute paperwork with my bank first. Which happens to be an hour away for me. My husband and I will be going to the bank today to fill that out and see if any results can be reached.

They did the same thing to me. I called and cancelled before I even got their free product and they still charged me $87.47. I have spoken to John who barely spoke any English. After much stress, he claimed to have cancelled the order, that was after he tried convincing me to take the product and he will refund me $20. Also, to add insult to injury, he advised me that if I refused the product or returned it to them they are going to refund me only $43 out of the $87, this $44 is for restocking fee. I never received the free sample nor did I get the shipment they charged me for.

It just happened to me too! I never even got my trial package. Got my credit card statement and have been charged $93.42.and never even received anything!I figured if I got charged the shipping and never got the product it was a lesson learned but I do not appreciate that I got charged $93.42 and never got the pills! I can't believe all the things I'm reading on hear. I've always been pretty lucky ordering things online...but not this time. I too was scammed by this stupid company. I cancelled by debit card, the bank filed a claim against them and had to wait over a week to get a new card. Wow, I've also learned my lesson. No more online shopping for me. I'll be filing claims agains them with the Florida Attorney General and the Federal Trade Commission.

Wow, have only been taking it for 2 days and got a major migraine and very nauseous to the point I had to leave work! The number I'm calling is constantly busy [protected]) to cancel the whole thing. I'm calling my bank and have them blocked immediately. I read the small print etc before buying it but this is not a product for me, way to many side effects. I'm going the old fashioned way, diet and exercise! First and last time I'm trying to order something like this on the internet. I just don't think there is a miracle pill out there that will really help. Just got suckered in because I'm so damn busy and hardly have time for anything! DO NOT BUY THIS CRAP!

I placed an order for the "free sample" for the handling charge of $3.95 and then proceeded to read the fine print.
I immediately called and cancelled the order (same day). The representative said the handling charge had already gone through and could not be cancelled but no further billings would be forthcoming.
Things rocked along and no product was received and no billing appeared.
Upon looking at this month's credit card billing I notice a charge from these crooks for $87.47 though no product was ever received.
Do not fool with these people, it will cost you!

I "STRONGLY" disagree with TheLoveFist11...I did read the T&C's and while I am happy to enter the free trial I am not signing up for a monthly subscription. I want to cancle within the terms i.e. 10 days and this outlet is impossible. All the contact numbers they give are a set up and with no email address how can you contact them. They are happy for you to enter the contract using the web but do not enable you to use the same medium to perform the contract under law.
I have contacted my credit card provider and the BBC watchdog who are taking up the case on my behalf. This cowboy outfit will not get any more of my hard earned cash if i can possible stop it!

Well would you believe it!finally go through to a guy called Colby Rep # 016, who was ok but did try and convince me they we really into ...wait for it!...customer service.

Well all i could do was direct him to this site for some customer feedback.

He tried to convince me it's ...wait for it again!, a "misunderstanding"...knock me down with a feather.

Cancelled the subscription and told him not to bother with the "FREE" trial.

Now I'll have to wait and see if they try to make a claim on my account. I have my credit card provider tag with an alert to ensure no monies are released to this organisation.

Wish you all well with your communications with Diet max. For me I never want to hear from them or any other online health supplement company, ever! leason well and truley learnt...
