This company offered a free trial for delivery charges only. Gave 10 days for trial but cannot reach
them to cancel account on the 8th day. However, when inquiring about my credit card, my company
say that Diet Max Cleanse has already charged $87.47 to my account and I have not been given a chance
to cancel since they do not answer their phone and the email address is not available. I did go in to the
original site and did an unsubscribe. I have received the trial capsules and after taking just one capsule
became sick with a heart rate of 109 beats per minute. I was charged the $3.87 for shipping of this
sample and am willing to pay that charge. But, my trial period ends today and they cannot be reached.
My credit card company say charged my account for the new order on Aug. 11 which is 5 days before my
trial period is to end? They say they will delete the charge. I am very unhappy with the company. I
think they are scamming people!
Yes, they are total scam. They took the money before the trial period was over and then no one is answering that phone number! To be honest, its our fault that we didnt do a proper online search. These fraud sites are making profits from people like us seeking slimming products. Then and by keep calling, they charge us more and waste our credit. A total scam.
I hate acaiMax!
I have just had the exact experience. They have charged me for the product twicw without actually sending it. I also ordered a free trial of the colon cleanse that they did send then followed by another I have not ordered and they have charged my credit card without my consent. I can find no record of the company and have no invoice. can you please let me know the contact details of them? thank you - retreatyourself@radiantbeing.com.au
I think this is con company, I cancelled my order on [protected] and was told that the refund will be made in 2-4 weeks, it is over 8 weeks now, not even heard from them or recieved an acknowledgement of the receipt of the rebate forms send to them on [protected], by airmail to be signed for, they have accepted the same on the [protected] according to postal tracking system, seems these people should be reported to FBI or similar crime investigation authority. I was lucky to get them on phone as soon as I found out they took off some £67+ from my account. It is a scam and should be taken to court for the massive rip off.
THIS HAS BEEN GOING ON FOR OVER A YEAR AND NOTHING HAS BEEN DONE...
This happened to me over a year ago now and I too could not contact the company...This was october /09 I can't believe these companies have scammed billions and nothing happens!
Reallly, I thought I was the only idiot out here! I have called repeatedly and they readily agree that my account was discontinued on Aug 23, but continued to charge my bank in Sept, and Oct. (charging totally more that $133) I actually reached them 3 times, told every time they would refund my account and now that I've waited for them, it's too late for my bank to do anything about it. Now the only thing I have left is the lesson. Too bad extra pounds lead to such vulnerability.
having similar problems, cannot reach the company on the phone to cancel my account. Obviously a big rip off!
I never even ordered this product. I order a teeth whitening product and they sent me the wrong product and charged me the money without having received anything at the time. I then received this product and have gone through several phone arguments with them. Finally, they told me if I sent back the product they would refund me a partial amount of $35. BIG SURPRISE...I returned the product and NEVER got the refund. ALSO, they keep charging my card like $5.00 and then a foreign exchange fee of like $0.13 or so. I didn't want to close the card because of the auto payments I have set up with it but now I guess I have to. UGH!
I live in the UK and consider myself quite astute when it comes to online buying, but I've been scammed too. London number goes straight to a pre-recorded american message, and I think this call will cost me a lot of money too and get me nowhere. I have online banking and if it had been set up as a direct debit, I could cancel it online, but no, they have charged my debit card and not delivered anything apart from my "free trial" which didn't work. The only option I can take is to ask my bank to issue me with a new debit card, which I'm off to do right now. Big hassle and I've lost money. Don't waste time. Cancel your debit or credit card immediately.
My wife got scammed also. However, we took the matter not only to Citi cards but also provided the information to our state Attorney General to look into the matter. Citi was very helpful in not only removing the charges but also ran interference for us with the idiots at Diet Max to get the account cancelled. I don't know why the State of Florida allows this company to remain in business. Bob
My wife got scammed also. However we contacted Citi cards and not only did they remove the erroneous charges but they ran interference for us in getting the account with Diet Max cancelled. We also turned over the information to our state Attorney general. MiniBob
Let me add my distain also. Where is this company and what about the little video add by a news reporter that made me feel like this might be legit?
Best thing to do with these companies is to deal only with your bank or cc company. They can stop further charges and can issue refunds quickly. Also, file a consumer complaint with your state's attorney general's office.
These people are a joke ! I was charged 2 something for the free trial, That I never received and then after I canceled due to not getting the Trial I was charged again 36 Dollars I called freaking out 3 months ago Nothing back yet .. Then the week of Thanksgiving I called again and spoke with a manager this time who promised me it would be debited that week and now it is a week before Christmas and still nothing .. I call everyday and get a busy signal ... I am not only going to make a police report against this company but I am also contacting the better business borough This should not be allowed ...
Same thing happened to me! And it made my account overdrawn! I am in the process of disputing the charges with my bank...
really I would love for one of you to post them terms cause yea thats a freaking joke !
This company is a total scam as they are deceptive in the way they do business. Every time you call into to cancel the phone is always busy and when you finally get through they will tell you the computer system is down and call back in about 3 hours. Yes they did this to me until I was past the 10 day period that they tell that you have to cancel which is pathetic.
I encourage all you to contact the Attorney General in your state as well as the Attorney General in Florida. Also contact the Agriculture and Consumer Complaints department in Florida and file a complaint against them. Its not the money as much as the deceptive way they do business.
I asked this company for their address and the address they gave me was an address that the BBB responded back to me that it was a bankrupted company. This company deserves to be shut down for its deceptive practices.
ok well your post does not apply to me at all considering I canceled the day I put the order in when I realized I really did not need this product there for the money they took was BOGUS ! Ty much :)
It is impossible to cancel! BeWARE!
I purchased a MagicJack about 1 1/2 years ago. I did work, but about 40% of the time you would get cross talk or interference on either end. However, I took the computer off the the wirelss network, and that helped some. There were several upgrades done automatically by MagicJack, and that has improved the service. At this time (about the last 10 months) I can say that it is as reliable as any other VOIP and that it is a good deal. It works well and that being a new technology it was sure to have some issues. I also use an older laptop with Windows XP and no other software to run the MagicJack. This allows it to be running 24 hrs and is not being used on a your home computer. Occasionally you might have to reboot the router or PC. I can't be sure if the Magic Jack causes this or that it's not the router, or Comcast. (The router is also used for wirelss for other Computers) I have saved at least $600 by not having a land line. I use the Cell Phone or MagicJack. I would recommend, but by it from a retailer that allows at least 90 days return.
So the moral of the story is,
(drumroll)
"Get off your ### and lose weight the old fashioned way. Consider your loss a tax on laziness."
Same problem, but I have been charged $91.63 and I only ordered the little bottle of pills - which I got eventually in the mail and then my Mastercard tells me this amount for nothing. Glad I found this page, now I am frightful that they will keep charging my account. I am a pensioner and this could ruin me (help me what do I do?) my e-mail is heyjude@bigpond.com The pills were to be a free sample, I am very scared that they will continue this. HELP!
I also got scammed, I got charged about 5 times for their internet convenience fee, as well as getting charged before my trial period ended. Called one number and couldn't get through, called another number and was finally able to get through, sure after 16 minues on hold on my cell phone. I told the Rep. I wanted to return the pills, I took them for one week and didn't like being jittery and didn't want them anymore. Her response is that they only accept unopened bottles to give the customer a refund. Then am I confused about what a "free trial" is? trial is to try, you have to open the bottle to try it, but if you do, You do not get a refund. So I have practically a bottle full of pills which I will not be using and a charge on my credit card.
I just got a charge of $87.47 plus $2.95 from a company in Haslemere, England, using name of ELGTech. Nutrigenic Life is also located in London, England UK. I queried ElgTech and got a page of complaints. This apparently is another bogus name the company is using. I have never heard of ELGTech and I have not authorized these charges. I have been trying for two months to get reimbursed from Nutrimax. I closed account on Oct 4. For the past three days, I get a "busy signal". They have shut down their phone lines. Nutrimax uses many dbas - mydietmaxcleanse.com/Nutrigenic Life/mycoloncleanse.com/ Profit Vault/ AcaiBerry/ElTecal PA, etc. Once they get your credit card number, they won't stop billing. The other day my bank called regarding a suspicious charge from ElTecal, Panama. It was the same amount as above. Told her it was bogus. She put a "block" on account, but they posted this one anyway. Going to close down card. I filed complaint with BBB of Chicago. They told me they sent 3 notices but they did not respond.
How can we get a "class Action" suit against them? They need to be put out of business. Fraud, scam, etc. They have scammed people all around the world.
i was also scammed in october and am going to pursue getting my money back. i suppose technically that it's no scam, they just want to fool us and take our money. i was curious and just read the terms and conditions for this company. they certainly stand by their horrible conditions! talk about bad costumer service!
What does shopping for clothes got to do with complaints about Dietmax products? Absolutely nothing... Are you that hard up that you have to chose a complaints forum with people who have been duped by purchasing a product on line, and you expect us to purchase from you too? Please choose another site for your advertising.
I done the free trial. A few days after receiving my product, I was Charged 74.00 on my card after I had already gave them the shipping cost. Called to get my money back and talked to someone named J.R. He said if you open the bottle we have to charge you for the product. I mean come on, how are you going to try the product for free if you can not open the bottle. These people are a bunch of foreign crooks is all I have to say. He told me it is in the agreement that return the product unopened in within 10 days to get your money back. So this mean you are getting a free few days to look at a bottle and decide if you want it or not. That is ###ed, yes I said ###ed. What happen to these peoples brains, how can you try a product out by looking at a bottle.
I ordered something similar from vitamin world and kept getting charges til I had to shut off my debit card, order a new one, and wait for refund. I shipped the product back and guess what? I didn't even get my refund even though I shipped the product back as soon as they sent it! I think this is crimminal.

There is a website: [redacted].com. Find and click on the Nutrimax link. There you have a chance to be contacted by an attorney, etc. Also look for the Acia Berry link. If they get enough complaints, maybe they will do something about this company - put them out of business? Be as specific as possible. I have been fighting this for over three months. Closed account on 10/4 and they billed me anyway. They also use several other names, Nutrimax Labs, Nutrigenic Life, El Tecal, Pa, ELGTech, Diet Max, My Diet Max Cleanse, My Colon Cleanse, My Detox Cleanse, Natural Detox, Profit Vault, and others.
This company is a fraud. I am filing complaint with my CC company as there were charges on my statement for a product I did not receive. Also, the previous month, they charged twice for the shipping fee. I feel for all of you who did they same as I and now regretting doing so. The number I have is [protected] but when called recently got a recording that all circuits are busy, try your call again later. When I pulled up their website, the domain is for sale so they must know we are on to them. Good luck.
I got scammed just like all of you! I tried canceling and they were saying it was too late and it wasnt and this company was partnered with naturacleanse who charged me 78.98. They refunded (naturacleanse) and I spoke to my bank to dispute to them about the 87.47 fee from dietmax and my bank was a great support, the Diet max was giving me run around, 2 months later I got on phone with some guy who said he'd give me refund. Finally! I kept all my notes of what happened and I called my bank today just to make sure I got the money back and they said no you didn't. I am trying to call dietmax today and phone is busy! They stole money from me that needs to be paid back.
This componany is a scam, please do not give your credit card information to them. They gave me a free 10 day trial and before receiving the product, i was charge $87.47. I was fortunate to cancel my subscription, however they charged me again which i was told it was a computer glitch (yeah right), got the charges reverse again (twice) by dietmax. Low and behold it happened again, which they told me it's another glitch, i tried the number [protected] which is on my account statment which is out of service (scammers), went to the original website to try and contacting them with the [protected] number, but the line has been busy since. Busy phone line+Out of service number= scam, scam, scammmmmmeeeeeeeeeeerrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrssssssssss!
Not only is this company a fraudulent and rip-off, it will use any of their dbas (doing business as) to attempt to keep billing even after account is closed. I got a charge on my cc from a company in England called ELGTech for $87.47 + $2.95. This apparently is the same company as the charges were exactly the same. My bank has closed the credit card and will issue me a new card. They will do a fraud charge-back for the amounts. They cannot recover the original charges on 10/4. The Miami office gave me the measly credit of $20.00 (shut-up fee) even tho I told them "NO" I don't want that because a shut-up fee takes away any chance of receiving the full refund of $87.47. I have tried calling them repeatedly but their phones are busy (off-the-hook for) for 5 straight days, and the Miami number has been disconnected. The BBB of Chicago sent them several notices, but they refuse to reply. They have a "F" rating with the BBB.
diet max is a scam company.they offered me a free bottle of thier product for postage of 3.12 dollars.i foolishly gave them my details and they have now made two un authorised deductions of 56.16 and 49.23 pounds in the months of november 2010 and january 2011 respectively.i thought this was the civilised world.how wrong can one be.
I called this company over 2months ago to cancel because i saw a charge pending on my card. I was assured that it would be canceled. NOW 2 MONTHS LATER I see another charge on my card for 35.81 from the same company. Of course when i call my bank they have a different phone number on file than what is posted on the site. I have been on hold with them listening to the same recorded music for 2hrs AND IM STILL ON THE PHONE NOW ! All I want is to cancel again this product and for them to discontinue taking money from my account. I WILL NEVER EVER ORDER ANYTHING FROM THIS COMPANY AGAIN AND WILL NEVER RECCOMEND THEM TO ANYONE ! VERY VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE
The only thing I authorized was the payment for S&H for $3.87. They claim on their website they are only opened Monday-Friday. I had to wait until Monday to call to cancel. They told me their computers were down and to call back tomorrow. They went ahead and billed me anyway. If their computers were down, how could they do a billing? This is just another ruse they use.
In Oct. 2010 I called to try the free sample and agreed to pay the one time shipping fee. 6 days later called to cancel I was able to reach someone and told them that I wanted to cancel my order they told me the order had been cancelled and no further charges would be charged on my account, well about 5 days laters I am looking at my credit card statement and see that they had charged my account for 35.81 I called back and was able to talk with someone again they told me that my order had been cancelled and it was a computer mistake and they were taking the charges off of my accout that it would take 10 days. Well 10 days went by and still NOTHING. So I called back again and this time the number says that all recuits are busy. So after now 2 month of trying to get in touch with these people they have charged my card again for 87.00. I have talked with my creditcard company and they are "disputing" the charges. But still to these day I have never recived anything from this company. I am really looking into filing charges against this company!
I bought the product during a special trial, when it was just $2.95. I later found little charges of $.04, $.09, and two just over a $1. This was after I found a charge for over $80. I tried contacting the company but their phones were constantly busy. I call several times during various time of day, but still go the same thing. I couldn't even email them because their email wasn't listed. This is a scam 100%. No product received only money disappearing. I'm thankful for my bank who is immediately stopped my card and refunded the charges.
I had already cancelled the subscription as I was charged the $87 wrongly like everyone else with a gurantee I would never be charged again but no refund...2 months later I just checked my bank and they have charged me again. I have now had to cancel my credit card and put it through to the authorities. DO NOT EVER BUY THIS PRODUCT...IT IS A SCAM! I highly suggest everyone cancel their credit cards and get issued a new one as they will continue to charge and now, suprise suprise, their phone is always engaged!
