Failure to refund after cancellation due to 5 category Hurricane.
On 9/2/23 I & my wife booked Cruise with Direct Line Cruises to Bahamas with a stop in Miami Fl. Cruise dates 9/10/23 to 9/18/23, on 9/7/23 after following feather reports of Category 5 Hurricane by Bahamas & going further thors Miami I canceled my Cruise because of dangerous conditions, I ask Direct Line Cruises to switch me & my wife to different week to Cruise, answer was NO & that I lost 100% of my money, Direct Line Cruises instead of doing some work on behalf of customers send me to deal directly with Cruise Line & when I called Cruise Line they would not talk to me because I booked my Cruise thru Direct Line Cruises, & on a top they did not refund tax paid on canceled cruise of $320.00 Direct Line Cruises is only interest in commissions that they get & don't do the work for the customers after booking, Direct Line Cruises must refund $630.00 for Cruise & $320.00 for tax paid. Cruise line is MSC, Thank you.

I booked a cruise on 8//2019 with Direct Line Cruises, Inc., for my family of 10 on Royal Caribbean. Unfortunately, the cruise got cancelled due to the Carona Virus. I contacted Royal Caribbean to confirm the cancellation, and Erika assured me that it was indeed cancelled. However, she informed me that I needed to contact Direct Line Cruises to acknowledge the cancellation, and they had to call Royal C. before issuing a refund or voucher. The problem is, Direct Line Cruises won't let me access my reservation because it has been cancelled. I'm unable to resolve this issue. Their customer support online is not available since the cruise got cancelled. I've tried calling, but their voicemail is full and there's no customer support available to assist me.

I booked a cruise with Direct Line Cruises last year, but it got cancelled because of Covid. Then, I booked another one in early July, but that got cancelled too because of Covid. I didn't have to pay any cancellation fees, which was good. However, I recently paid in full for a cruise in the third week of July. Unfortunately, two weeks ago, I found out that I have Stage three metastatic cancer. When I first talked to Direct Cruises, they said I would get a full refund. But today, they told me they would only reimburse me $900 out of the $3800 I paid, and the rest would be kept for a future cruise. I tried explaining that I might not even be alive by then, but they didn't seem to care. I also reached out to Royal Caribbean, but they refused to help. I really need assistance here because chemotherapy is expensive, and more importantly, I can't go on a cruise while undergoing treatment. Please help me get my money back. What options do I have? I can't afford the $580 insurance either.

I even posted on their Facebook page to ask if they got my emails, but still no reply. I decided to cancel my Royal Caribbean cruise because I didn't want to risk losing the benefit of the future cruise certificate. But it's been a while and my cancellation hasn't been processed yet. I sent them a private message on Facebook this week to follow up, but I haven't heard back from them. I really hope they can provide me with the information I need and resolve this issue.
