I have been trying to resolve Identity Theft and fraudulent billing by Discover since 12/22/21.
I had an account with Verizon cell until December 22/2021, automatic billing.
12/22/21 I changed my service to TMobil.
March of 2022 I received billings from Discover for Straight Talk.
I had no account with Straight Talk. I stopped using my Discover card.
I called numerous times to Discover for this fraudulent billing. I asked each time for a refund. No refund was issued. Discover opened an investigation and concluded there was no fraud, for me to call straight talk which I did, they denied billing me. I had stopped using my Discover card.
I went to the Verizon store in Kissimmee, FL where my account was until 12/22/21. Only Verizon had my personal information. They denied that they had anything to do with giving my personal information to Straight talk. I have to report this fraud to Corporate management. I went to Corporate and filed a report there. Management told me Verizon has nothing to do with straight talk, they only use Verizon's tower. I was advised to close my Discover account and report this fraud and theft to the credit bureau, which I did. I had stopped Discover. Each billing I called Discover and reported fraud. Now Discover is threatening me with charge off and to make a payment program.
Claimed loss: $ 1,186.00
Desired outcome: All fraudulent billings refunded, from 12/22/2021 to date, account cleared to -0-a letter to all credit bureau's with a statement that identity theft has been committed. And a copy to me.
