its a ripoff
I just took my kids to disneyland and the prices at the gate were 100$ a piece. child or adult. Thats insane! A lso if thats not enough they want extra for line jumper fees, so if you dont pay an extra fee you have to wait an extra 30 min. longer to get on a ride. This was not mentioned to us by the ticket salesman. Also if you did not purchase this line jumper pass your not alowed to see the light show at nite, the workers kept telling us to keep moving until we got so far away you couldnt see the show at all. My kids were very upset! So was me and my wife . I will never return to this park ever again and I will tell everone I know not to waste the money or the time on disneyland! sincerly PISSED OFF DAD!

lelo and stich ride bars came down to hard on my shoulders, one still hurts. no place to sanitize your hands except to stop in every bathroom. came home very sick. live in fla and will never go back. been there so many times this was the worst.
2008s Halloween Spooks Fireworks Display. The lyrics from Grim Grinning Ghost song at the beginning sound inappropriate. They are meant to say "swinging wake" but sound like "swinging wank".
wow you people amaze me. What are you all on Disney's payroll? going around looking for anyone who has anything bad to say about the place. Get a life.
Too bad you had a bad experience, but you're one less idiot that I have to stand in line behind!
haha I like that!
And Valemmons...STOP SPENDING MONEY ON ###ING BEER AND TAKE YOUR KIDS TO DISNEYLAND you selfish ###..
First of all Disneyland does not charge for "line jumper fees" because they do not exist dumb ###. they are called Fast Pass and Disneyland does not charge for it. The "water show" is called World of Color and they also do NOT charge for that either...Your obviously one of those people who pull random ### out of there ### to make a point...second ...the Disney Co. is one of the most successful companies in the world right now...so if they lost a couple guest like yourself...i do not think it would hurt them...so go spend your money else where your obviously not welcome...
Disney sucks... Went last month an stayed at a resort for work and a six pack of beer at the resort was 32.00! ###ed! Everything was so expensive and they put all these ads on tv an then your kids want to go but you cannot afford it an have to say no so then you look like an ### to your kids when disneys the ### for being so damn expensive! I won't ever go back plus the people working at the convention center couldn't handle the 3500 people convention we put on when this is what they boasted they did so well ...and the hotel staff were just rude to us... We had alot of complaints from our attendees. Not to mention they block wireless service so you have to pay 9.99 to use theirs on Your laptop on property! Again.. Disney sucks!
worse than cartoon network (countinued)
P.S. I live 50 miles from l.A. I complained to "eisner" channel 20 times already! Please please please comment!
I totally agree i remember when i was little they had the house of mouse and winne the pooh. were did those shows go? now i am 11 and that was wen i was 3 or 4 years old. now my older sister has 2 kids and they will never be able to see classic disney channel as such. why would disney even make shows like what they have now if they wanna make shows like that put it on disney xd or a whole new channel for teens and leave disney channel for the classics. you are so right Walt disney would want better.
Whats wrong with them?
worse than cartoon network
What the hell happened to the old disney? I can't believe the so called "disney" channel putting on teenage crap like this! Hannah montana is a moneymaking brat who's only famous because of her stinking father! The what happened to mickey mouse and the old time classics, who taught life lessons and was fun for the whole family. Now they put on stupid live-action sitcoms! I bet poor walt disney would have murdered the new owners for ruining his channel so thanks a lot! Soon they will have preschoolers watching sex shows! Unless dc changes, their hq is at 3800 west alameda ave. Burbank, ca if youed like to say something! I sware fanboy and chumchum (nickelodeon) is way better!
What is with these new Mickey mouse cartoons! They remind me of animation from Ren and Stimpy. Ren and Stimpy was not a children's cartoon. Why not bring back the old Disney Classics. I am really disappointed with Disney Channel. I mean after kids get home all it is live shows. My son changes to the hub network then he'd rather watch the old cartoons the new stuff. Change back Disney please or I will be forced to block your programming!
Disappointed Mother of 2 in Maryland
My 6 & 7 year-old daughters were watching Phineas & Ferb this afternoon when the Disney Channel showed a preview for My babysitter is a Vampire. The commercial frightened my girls and was dark and scary. Now my daughters are crying and are afraid to go to sleep. Thanks Disney. Now I can’t trust you either?
What’s your deal?
A children’s network has gone the way of FOX and other less respectful networks?
Really? Really? Really?
Please clean up your network…. Until then you’re channel is blocked.
Disappointed,
I agree completely. If Walt Disney were alive, and saw what kind of shows are running on air on Disney Channel, he'd have a heart attack.
I love Shake It Up too:)
I agree with this complaint I mean when I was 3 they had fun shows that i think are a little to young for me now but still have a good message! Plus some of the junk they put on now is not even that cool to watch or funny (well except for MAYBE the new show "Shake It Up" but that is only because I am a dancer) and those stupid shows are trying to get my age groups attention! It is very sad pretty soon stuff like that will be everywhere! yep that would be a good message to young kids... NOT! Disney was supposed to be a KIDS channel not a teens one!
Injury
My first time at Disney was this weekend. I was so excited. I purchased a ticket for a park and spent half a day there. I left the park to go to Downtown Disney. We got on the bus that left the Dolphin. The driver knew that it was getting more and more crowded, but she kept shoving people onto the bus. Finally, there was no room. I had to stand and hold onto the rail above my head with my left hand. She took a VERY sharp turn and it made everyone slam about. Someone slammed into my arm and popped my shoulder. It wasn't dislocated, but it began to swell and I cannot raise it above chest level. I got off the bus and went into the first shop I came to and asked for first aide. They panicked because they knew it was their fault. They called EMTs who put my arm in a sling. They then quickly sent me back to my hotel. I went to the front desk here and mentioned that they hadn't filled out an accident report. So the Dolphin hotel security was nice enough to fill one out for me.
This morning, I still couldn't move it very well. I went to the front to ask for a real sling instead of a gauze one. I wound up having to call a pharmacy that delivered and pay for it myself. I said that all I wanted was to be reimbursed for my $13.00 sling and have my half a day ticket I didn't get to use refunded. I thought that was reasonable. They have not tried to help at all. So instead of them reimbursing me a mere 40-60$, I have contacted a lawyer and I will sue for maximum. This is ridiculous.
Well, just got back from the ER. The Dolphin and it's wonderful staff sent me there via taxi. The verdict is... separated shoulder.
They are refusing the reimbursement. The other park that called the EMT but neglected the accident report tried to deny knowledge of the accident until I pointed out that the EMTs would have records.
Disney Doesn't care about anyone only there bottom line. I have thousands of complaints from people from all over the world, please contact me at Vamphelp@gmail.com, I'll help any way I can.
Oh wow! That is horrible! I hope you feel better soon
their shows are no longer funny or good as they used to be
No offense, but these shows are no longer funny or good as they used to be, brookwell mcnamara ent. Needs to come back. The following: suite life on deck, sonny with a chance, hannah montana, jonas, and wizards of waverly place may be popular but not good and that what counts. That's so raven is one example of a good show, but their last season was unsucessful and that is the company that managed those bad shows.
I think as people get older, nothing is as good as it used to be!I recently watched an episode of Lizzie McGuire on YouTube just to see if I would still like it and I didn't.I didn't think it was funny and it was really stupid and horribly acted but I liked it when I was a kid.People grow up and Disney is aimed at 7-14 year olds and that's why adults don't like it.I'll bet you didn't like some of the channels you watch now because they were boring to you back then!
much to my disappointment it is not safe to be a dude and watch a disney movie
Much to my disappointment it is not safe to be a dude and watch a disney movie. A dog biting man in the groin in the movie beethoven, is totally borderline perverted and a sick inspiratin to children. I don't let my children watch disney movies alone, because of the very reason that disney seem to think biting, kicking or even electricity to a mans privates (101 dalmations movie) is good fun family entertainment - its very uncool and if a woman was put in the same situation it would be edited out for tv.
i stopped letting my children watch Disney Channel due to Hannah Montana. My children started being rude when they started watching that show.
suite life on deck
I am utterly appauled at this channel. I was sitting watching sweet life on deck and they were doing a talent show with one of the charaters portraying abraham lincoln, she was trying to recite the emacipation proclamtion and messing it up, which is not what the problem is. My problem with this channel is that the black character named mr mosby said"where is john wilkes booth when you need him?".. I was stunned that a president of the united states would be disrespected in such a manner. Had that comment been reversed and a white charater had said"where is james earl ray when you need him?".. This would have caused an outrage. I find it very sad that this company I loved as a child and have spent several hundred dollars supporting would degrade a president who was assainated while in office and im outraged! Shame on you disney, walt would not have wanted his company to be run this way
It's just a show? Well Stars are just people but the Press has a field day with their comments made off screen.
When I heard this one I was sick to my stomach, "This way to the Trail of Tears". This comment is beyond offensive. IF they had said "This way to the Gas Chambers" or "This way to the Slave Auction Block", our Country would be in an uproar! My Grandchildern will Never be allowed to watch another thing Disney puts out there. To top it all off it came from the mouth of the older man who runs the ship in Suite Life. Shame on him! He of all should know better!
From a Nana on the WARPATH
u have to be blind not to see the fact that "they promote violence or sex or something like that."
totally innapropriate program lineup
I am a 12 year old boy and I love to review tv shows. Anyway, as I was watching hannah montana to give a critical review on it (I needed something) and I saw one of the episodes had lily say, "she had an explosion in her pants!" and miley corrected it saying "not like that!". Now that is completely inappropriate for a kids show. And in another show about "rock" stars, jonas (why capital?), macy's clothes get ripped off, and they don't show anything, as if it was censored. Then the boys around look at her in a perverted way, as if she was nude. Not only that, but the classic disney is gone. The only shows shown anymore are suite life (ok), hannah montana (unrealistic reality show), jonas (another unrealistic reality show), and wizards of waverly place (not very good, but it's probably the best there). The last thing is that they buy off other shows (like happy feet) and say it's all new, when it isn't. Terrible.

offensive ad!!
I recently had on the Disney Channel and saw an ad for Sonny with a Chance. It featured 3 girls dressed up as Disney princesses and was called "The real princesses of NJ." Their attitudes, actions, and accents were horribly offensive and the commercial alluded to them being stereotypical NJ jewish princesses. I'm a New Jersey native born and bred; I was also raised Jewish. Your misrepresentation of girls from NJ let alone Jewish girls is horrible and degrading. You should be ashamed of yourselves.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
Disney's changed horribly over the years. Before it was all about Sister Sister, Smart guy, and other greats, but now?
Now it's all about Phineas and Ferb (which has been going on for WAAAYY more than 1 summer) Good luck Charlie (a show based around a toddler?) and A.N.T farm (some tween in high school). I miss the days where I could actually watch That's So Raven at any given time, instead of watching these pre-teen shows that try to act like they're teenage dramas.
It that show Jersey Shore that started that stereotype.! Now that is a stupid show!
My 6 & 7 year-old daughters were watching Phineas & Ferb this afternoon when the Disney Channel showed a preview for "My baby sitter is a Vampire." The commercial frightened my girls.
And now my daughters are crying and are afraid to go to sleep. Thanks Disney... Now I can’t trust you either?

Disney Please clean up your network…. Until then you’re channel is blocked.
Disappointed,
I take huge offense to this skit too. How can Disney show such a thing where it teaches children (the show’s audience is 7 to 14 year olds) that it is ok to call teenage girls wenches and to call their mothers and their friends mothers ‘witches’. Extremely disappointing and NOT funny. Never even thought about the whole offensive thing to NJ.
hi i muna khan and i not check my yahoo id and i wrote e mail for you show me new barbie 12 dancing princes movie barbie as the daries tangled and many more new barbie movies
im so sorry i not see my email id please show barbie as the 12 daning princess barbie as the daries and many more barbie movies
I agree on suite life on deck they were takin the mick out of english people and they had the accents wrong and everything else wrong not everyone dresses and talks like that!
In my opinion the reasoning for no more episodes of aaron stone is not very good. If you want disney xd to be all comedy (makes it a little bit lame), thats fine but why not make a new season for the original disney channel. It would greatly appreciated if you would give this some thought.
All I can say to your comments is...OH MY GAWWWWD! Sweetheart, you princesses (not just Jewish, all Princesses!) gave yourselves that stereotype! People need to laugh at themselves a bit more often
that way these children wont grow up with these self imposed rights that they need to earn and not arbitrarily expect is rightfully theirs!
No Refund
Disney has no means to file a complaint! They do not even have ANY 800 numbers to call them for ANY reason! The only email address I could find is for the CEO Robert A. Iger...

Mr. Robert Iger
This letter is in regard to me and my wife’s vacation to Disney World December 7, 2008. We had pre paid during the year as we are on fixed income and could not pay in full at once. We had pre paid for full seven day stay inside the park with the full meal plan. We went with my daughter, son-in-law and grandson. We had to make special arrangements for someone to stay with my mother as she had been living with us for the past two years due to Alzheimer’s disease. I had many reservations about leaving her but we really needed a break and we had a close family who offered to stay with her for the week.
We had reservations at the Pop Century Resort from Saturday to Friday night. Our park tickets were for Monday through Friday. Monday we were in the Magic Kingdom and just after lunch we received a cell call from Jane our friend who was staying with my mother saying she had collapsed and was transported to the emergency room. By that evening she had been moved to ICU at the hospital.
At that point my wife and I knew we had to go back home to be with her. It was too late to leave that evening and we didn’t want to face an eight hour drive back to Atlanta at night. We packed and got our car ready so we could leave early the next morning. At that time I was not thinking about our reservations at Disney or the money we had saved to go. I was very worried about my mother and what had happened to her. I was so upset my wife had to notify the front desk we would be checking out the next morning.
After returning home we discovered mother had a stroke and by all accounts would not recover. She was in the hospital until Saturday the 13 of December at which time we had to move her to a Hospice care facility. She passed away December 29.
About three months passed and I realized I needed to call Disney and get a refund for our vacation. That’s when the nightmare started all over. First things first, there is no 800 number to call. I was shocked. I had to make all calls on my time! The first person I spoke to at YOUR booking service made it clear that without vacation insurance I was entitled to no refund at all. My wife went over all our paperwork and in the fine print found it is so stated. After requesting a supervisor I was offered a refund of the remaing four nights we did not use. I was needless to say lived. Only after speaking to yet another supervisor was I offered a refund of the meal package we had remaining. I was also told I had 90 days from the time we checked out to receive complementary passes to the park for which we had not used. It had been three months and two weeks! Of the $1300 I had pre paid I received a $360 refund. My only regret is not writing a letter sooner. I was just too angry.
At this point in time I don’t expect anything from you, I’m writing this to get it off my chest. I don’t even expect a response from you. As I am retired with a disability my wife worked part time to make money so we could go on this trip only to lose it. It just makes me feel better to get it on paper! I have one more thing to say and that is me and my wife will never go to Disney world again and I can only hope that your Disney World will one day sink back into the swamp which it was built from. Disney would have been my last choice of a company that would not have given a refund of the products and services which we did not use. I cannot give you any of the accounts we used at the time as I canned all material and documents we had. That’s how upset I was then and now. I will also never recommend to anyone to vacation at Disney world or any Disney vacation resort or cruse.
My Regards

It is a amazing such a large company has no complaint line. But then they would have to hire a lot of people to handle the complaints. They don't care. They want your money and then they stress you out and treat you like cattle when you are there.
I am sorry about your mother and the stressful events you encountered through Disney World. They should be ashamed of themselves for their lack of concern and customer service. I hope you get every dime back that you spent on your vacation. Thank you for sharing.
nothing to do with disney
As a young child I remember that disney channel at least showed some programming that related to disney, such as house of mouse, the goof troop, etc. But now I am a teenager who has a little sister that is in love with disney channel. Now disney channel doesn't show any programming related to disney at all. It is all a bunch of stupid live-action comedies and animated shows that have no disney flavor at all. They should sell the channel, or at least change the name. Then they should make a disney channel that actually has something to do with disney! The only thing that is disney-related on that stupid channel is the little logo in the corner of the screen. This channel has to go. If you said the word "disney" to a child 10 years ago, the first thing that came to their mind was mickey mouse. Now you say "disney" and the first thing that comes to their mind is a stupid 15 year-old pop star that takes nude photos for magazines. Like that has anything to do with disney.

agreed my little sis is the same and whenever I say disney she autimatically starts talking about ANT farm. I am just thankful that I coud grow up on house of mouse and legend of tarzan.
Waste of money and time
We went there hoping it would be the best, but sadly they didnot satisfy any of our Dreams! First many places and rides didnot allow Us as we had our Little one 2 yr old with us, and all the Places we could go with him like My small World was CLOSED! I dont understand wwhy they charge us so much and Dont keep the places open!
You have to stand in LINE for Hours to get to any rides!
I Think It was totally a Waste of Money and Time!

I have called Disneyland twice, and get a machine that puts you on hold, for 45 minutes, which is rediculous, who can hold for that long. Very frustrating, and they know they are busy, they have the money to hire more poeple, and a lot of people are out of work. More people should complaint, maybe Disneyland will do something about it
Overcharged and unresolved
I purchased a Pirates of the Caribbean jacket on October 13, 2009. Unfortunately, I did not look at my receipt until 10/14/09. I realized that I was charged twice ($56) and I called the number on the receipt and explained that I was charged twice for the purchase of a single jacket. I was told to go to Guest Communications in the Disneyland Resort to resolve the issue. On 10/15/09, I went to guest communications and spoke to someone, I was told that they do not handle credit card discrepancies and that I would need to call the credit card disputes department at [protected] and leave a detailed message of the situation. On that same day, I called and left a detailed message as instructed. On 10/19/09, I received a call from the credit card disputes department stating that they cannot do anything from there end and that I would need to call guest communications because they had given me the wrong information on how to handle this situation. I should have gone back to the store (Pieces of Eight). Unfortunately, on 10/19/09 I was leaving to return to Hawaii. I called guest communication back on 10/19/09 and was told that I signed the receipt stating that I agreed to those charges and I should verify items on the receipt before signing. That was my fault for not looking at the detailed receipt before signing but because I received the wrong information on how to handle this situation, I was ripped off for $56. Throughout my multiple conversations, I was also told more than once that there is no way that they could verify that I did not receive the item as charged. In other words, I was trying to get another jacket for free (is the assumption of that statement). I would not go through all this trouble if my statement was not true. Unfortunately, I am back in Hawaii and unable to do anything about it.

Rip off
I think you've all seen the commercials. The commercial shows Disneyland in the middle of the day with hardly any people in the park and the Disney characters running along with small children. It also shows children having private conversations with the Disney characters as well.
Yeah, right.
The truth is that the park is ALWAYS CROWDED and other than standing in a long line in Toon Town to visit Mickey Mouse, the other characters are typically mobbed by children eager to touch, hug, or just be close to the character.
I've seen Winnie the Pooh get so mobbed, he was pushed up against the wall and had to be helped by some parents to get him out of there.
I think the problem with these commercials is that they create a false impression that the child is going to the park without huge crowds and get special attention by the characters walking around with them, when that is simply not the case. One shot has a child and Donald Duck skipping along together! That is pure false advertising.
The only way to get a character to visit with you is to pay for an expensive 'Breakfast with the Characters'. That way, characters will come visit with you at your breakfast table. Anyway, that's a totally different situation than what is advertised on their TV commercial.
Shame on Disneyland for lying to children.

I am writing to tell you that it is a shame that you call this place the happiest place on earth and yet let all the women from the View talk bout the President like a dog .No one wants to hear this from Disneyland, We were going to go this year but changed our minds if that's the kind of people you let support Disneyland.Shame
I agree with you DisneyIsaRipScam a million times, enough said.
$80 bucks for a 3 year old to enter the park? A 3 YEAR OLD? That's beyond ridiculous. I took my 3 year old son and my 5 year old daughter. My wife and son waited an hour for this kids ride. It's the airplanes that go around in a circle and you can raise and lower them as you circle. Waited for an hour and it lasted 20 seconds...
I've read all the comments here and it's sad how as soon as somebody writes about their bad experience they get attacked with childish insults. Real mature people. Do we not have a right to voice our opinions?
Back to bashing ###land. Which is actually a fitting name, this place stinks literally. I was waiting in line with my daughter at Minnie Mouses house in toon town cause she wanted the picture and autograph. When we got a little closer to the front of the house it's starts smelling like a sewer or a port o potty. I had random kids in line around me asking their parents why does it smell like a bathroom. That wasn't the only location that smelled. There were several locations. I guess Disney doesn't make enough money to address that issue? Lol or they just enjoy the stench.
Back to Minnie, we finally got the picture and autograph. Then we got in line for goofy. We get half way to him then he just leaves with people still in line. At first people are thinking maybe he needed to use the restroom or maybe his shift was over and another person would be replacing him shortly. We waited and we waited. One by one people lost there patience and moved on. I stayed until there was just me my daughter and a lady and her daughter. Goofy never came back, wow is all I could say.
A couple hours of walking around looking for characters and not finding them passes so I decide to go to main street to the photo shop to get the only character photo we were able to get, Minnie. I gave them the photo card and they couldn't find the picture. I'm not going to go into all the the details but it took over an hour to get that issue resolved.
Can any of you Disneyland groupies give a good explanation as to why a bottle of water or an ice cream from one of those little stands is so over priced? Do they not make enough on parking, admission and everything else they ream you for?
In conclusion, Disneyland is a huge rip off, It stinks like a sewer, the lines are too long and rides to short. People were left stranded in the goofy line.
Instead of talking crap to me in response to my comment how about you defend your almighty precious Disneyland and explain to me why you think it's the happiest place on earth as they advertise.
i went to disneyland and a worker from the rocket ship broke my camera while she was trying to buckle me up and know they are telling me that it was my fault because it was still in my hand. i am really upset and hope they pay for my camera i just bought it to take pictures of my daughter .
To all the Disney lovers reading this, just know that the unrealistic expectations of the whiners on this message board only means that we won't be bothered by their grumbling in the park. Good riddance! °0°
DisneyGreed you need to get a grip. Not everyone has their lips pressed up against Disney’s butt. We just got back. And I will never go again. The most employee’s were great but some of the rules leave a lot to be desired. Like lettings fast-pass people go in front of the line to the margin of 80% to 20% (for those without one). Then if you went to get a fast pass, there were signs saying they have given out the allotment for the day or the time give was several hours away. Then there is the fact that some employee’s will allow people to line jump. When we were there, waiting for roller-coaster in California adventures. We had two kids and a mother in front of us wait to ride. But the time we got to the front, the kids had invited 15 others form their school to join them. Every time we told them to go back to the end they would tell us that the employee at the end of the line told them it was ok to move up to their friend. I asked this employee at the end of the ride, and she said something about them saying they were using the bathroom and other excuses but it doesn’t take 30 to 40 minutes to do that. Disney does take advantage of their situation one example is the lockers, the price to use one is outrageous. They should scrap the fast pass lines all together, and not allow line jumping in any form. We went to knots berry farm and they have signs up stating those rule. There were no problems. To be frank, the rides there were better and the longest we had to wait was 20 minutes.
@Fithrider Who said anything about free admission you brainless dullard? And wtf does welfare for life have to do with anything? [censored]ted monogoloid. I have no problem affording to go to Disneyland but i know a lot of families who have 4-5 kids who could never afford 600 dollars for tickets plus at least another hundred for food and parking. There's no excuse for charging a hundred dollar's a ticket. Yeah because wanting them to make the tickets even slightly more affordable is the same as wanting tickets for free. You are the biggest [censor] on the planet. I'
m sure this is just what Walt Disney wanted when he built Disneyland, to alienate families for not being upper class.
You're a good person for posting Kimberly, but trying to reason with malcontents like these ones is pointless. What entertains us is Disneyland. What entertains them is complaining. I'd warrant a guess that walking around with an angry scowl on their faces is simply what brings them pleasure; that and trying to tear down anything good that others love and enjoy.
Ha, "silver spoon." Cry me a river. You think Disney owes you free admission? How about free welfare for life while we're at it
Seriously? 99$ to get into Disneyland? Thanks for ensuring that any kids without a silver spoon in their mouth ever get to go.
My family and I visited Disneyland. My daughter is 3 years old and it was her first visit to the park so as you could imagine my husband and I were trying to make this visit as memorable as possible. Our visit started out good, we went on a few rides and had a good lunch at the park. During our visit, we were looking forward to 3 things: Meet the princess's, see the fireworks, and look inside the castle. Unfortunately, due to the wind we were unable to see the fireworks, the princess's were no where in sight at the times and locations we were told they would be at by park staff, and after the fireworks were cancelled and they reopened the castle, we asked up to 5 different Disney staff at what time the castle would be open to tour and not one person could tell us, they would say things like: "its not my department" or "im not sure, we'll just have to wait and see" so, by that time it was probably around 9:45 and we decided to go on the carousel and then head back to our car but then as we walked passed the castle we saw a line to tour the castle. We had enough and didn't want to wait in line when we had already stood by the door for 10 minutes waiting for it to open. All in all we had an ok time but we were extremely disappointed that we were unable to see the 3 things we went to the park for and shocked by how bad the customer service some of the Disney employees we encountered. I expected a lot more from Disney, the experience we had was more or less of an experience we would have at our local state fair. We understood the fireworks had to be cancelled because it would be a major fire hazard but its hard when you tell your 3 year old for a month that we would go to Disneyland and see fireworks, princesses, and the castle and not be able to see any of it and if that wasn't enough we had the worst experience at the Toy Story Parking facility.
We had been at the park from 3 to 10. We were extremely tired and our daughter was falling asleep in my arms. We headed to the parking facility in the Toy Story shuttle as we arrived we headed to C7 (which we had written down) where we had parked our car. We then noticed that our car wasn't were they had directed us, we then went to a staff member and asked if their was more then one C7 parking area in their facility, we were told their wasn't so we headed back to C7 and again our car was no where to be found, we again went back and asked a different staff member and they told us "umm I'm not sure there may be?" and please remember we are still caring our daughter and we were walking back and forth from C7 to all the way across the lot asking for help. You had almost 7 staff member's there and not one of them had any compassion for us…. My husband ran all over the buzz lightyear and Jessie parking lot, and when we started walking to the woody parking lot another staff member stopped us and said that if we arrived at 3 our car would not be in the woody parking area and there was only one C7 and that was in the Buzz parking area so we went back and looked again. I was in tears I thought our vehicle was stolen. We went back and talked to that same staff member again and he said in a very sarcastic manner "are you sure you checked right?" I couldn't believe it! He saw us there walking around the parking lot… we were hard to miss…. Our daughter, was tired and crying and I was in tears. Around 10:45 so about 45 minutes of searching we stopped looking and decided to head back to ask a staff member to call the police, so we could report our vehicle stolen. When we asked her to call, she said her walkie talkie was low on batteries and she wouldn't be able to call, she told us to walk across the parking lot to ask another staff member… WOW… what if someone was hurt… what would she have done then… run across the lot and hope that one of her co-workers had a working walkie talkie! So we had found two staff members by the shuttle, one of them was a male, who was also was the person who directed us the buzz parking area and another woman, as we were walking towards them, she noticed that I was in tear and my husband was out of breathe, then man turned his back and tried to continue his conversation with the woman. The woman stopped him and ran over to us and offered her help. We had explained to her what had happened and asked her to call the police, she then told us that there was more then one C7 in their parking facility and walked with us to the Woody area just as we thought our car would have been earlier. Very releaved, I wiped my tears and hugged that only person in that whole parking facility that was helpful and cared. We then got in our car and took our 2 hour drive back to our relatives home. I realize now I should of taken some names down but unfortunately I didn't I could only say that from 10pm to 11pm on 3/27/10 none of the Disney employees at the Toy Story parking facility except for one lady ( she had blonde curly hair) was helpful, they misinformed us and were extremely rude. While we were driving my husband told me "I've never seen anyone leave Disneyland crying and disappointed.
I've told several people regarding my experience and I will continue to tell people and leave several more comments like this one. We were planning to go back in the summer with our families but more then likely we'll pick a different park for our vacation. We spent almost $500 at your park that day and thousands more on merchandise from your Disney stores, but now we have a bad taste in our mouth. I've worked for Starbucks in the past and I am now a Quality Assurance specialist for a great company. I know great customer service and the effects bad customer service has on people. I'm sure Disney will do fine with one less customer but I still feel we deserve an apology.
Passholder Renewal Price Descrepancy
When I called to check on the renewal rates of our annual passes, I was given the non-florida resident rate. Even after I quoted the rates othat were on our renewal form that was sent to us by Walt Disney World, the representative continued to give me non-resident rates. She gave me a price that was over 100.00 more per ticket than what we should have been paying as FL residents. I had my fiance call and the representative saw the phone number and realized that we were calling on Florida resident rates. He called with a WPB number and I called with and actual Orlando 407 number. I was really peaved when I found out that I had been quoted non-resident rates during our entire conversation. The lady even tried to convince me that the rates might have gone up since I got my form...not once did she say, "oh, you are talking about FL resident rates".
I called back later and was transferred to a guest service representative. He said that they are given specific instructions to not give people FL resident rates UNLESS THEY SPECIFICALLY ASK FOR THEM. I guess you need to use those exact words because some of them obviously cannot figure out from the phone number or member information that you live in Florida and are quoting the resident rate from an official document.
The more I thought about this the insensed I became. I have been going to Disney for YEARS, and feel that this kind of customer service is UNACCEPTABLE!
A GREAT alternative to WALT DISNEY WORLD parks is BUSCH GARDENS in Tampa...You still get quite the bang for your buck...but pay much less for fabulous day of entertainment!
Wow. You were quoted a wrong rate. Obviously, you never paid the higher rate, and things were promptly corrected. Sounds to me like a golf club and a few hours with that horrible, horrible, human being are warranted.
On the "Chronic Complaint Scale, " you score a 6.
They do not care
My family has been going to Disney World almost since it opened. Up until now, the trips have been magical and delightful. Key words are UP UNITL NOW.
On a recent visit with my two grandchildren we were given incorrect information when we purchased our tickets and what happened in the park to my grandchildren 2 and 7 years old is inexcusable.
We had purchased our tickets prior to going to the park. We purchased one day tickets for Florida residents. At the ticket gate we were talked into buying the "3 day Florida pass" tickets by the agent. I told the agent that I could not come back and he told me that my daughter could use my ticket to take my grandchildren on the other two days. I have now found out that that was an out right lie. Disney ticketers know full well that each ticket is person specific!
That day at the park I purchased food and drinks for my grandchildren. The food court did not have a table for us so we sat curbside. I sat my little granddaughter and grandson down and made a spot for them to enjoy their food. A Disney employee who was a sweeper came by and knocked the children's food over, didn't apologize for it, and swept the parts that flew into the street away! My grandchildren cried and I was speechless! I picked them up quickly and distracted them by going and purchasing them ice cream. I didn't want them to NOT have a good Disney experience!
Coming home I thought I would file a complaint. I have emailed complaints to Disney without any response! I have called the main Disney line 407-2222 to complain but Disney has no "complaint telephone number"?
What? A kid friendly family vacation place has NO COMPLAINT NUMBER? I couldn't believe this. I have never had the need to complain before, but who would have thought that they don't have any number to handle things like this? And who would have guessed that they'd ignore legitimate email complaints?
I have called every number Disney has listed. The only thing they are good for is to sell, sell, sell. They could care less what a GUEST thinks or if a guest has had any issues!
It is sad to say, but my family is now done with Disney! A lesson learned!
There are plenty of other alternatives to a Disney vacation and we will now advise anyone who visits us to not go to Disney. A very, very sad day.
Please don't write about your "good" experiences. We too had years of great experiences, this one bad one was one too many! My grandchildren did not deserve to be treated like this they are good kids.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
I have 5 kids that are going to have to grow up now with no Disney because you and your company want to put your company smack in the middle of politics because of a few misguided individuals. I have been multiple times in my life and I have taken my kids about 3 to 4 times since they were born but I will no longer take them until you take politics out of your hands. Kids should not have to worry about politics or sexual orientation early in their life, let them be young and have fun as long as they can before they have to. Stay in the realm of fairy tales and animation not the outside world because people take their kids to Disney to be kids and escape the real world for a little while.
I have been a Disney pass holder for 35 years and I even considered joining club 33. Me and my family moved to celebration to be close to Disney. I have canceled my Disney + subscription and will not renew our Disney pass’s. This all do to Disney involving themselves in politics. We go to Disney to get away from the nonsense and to enjoy the fantasy. I will do as Disney does and convince my family and friends s to do the same. Please stop! Please. P.S. I’m a Democrat.
I just think Disney is broken. I grew up on Disney. I can remember my mom taking me to see Snow
White & Bambi as a child. I took my daughter in 2003 for her college graduation. Last week when were there last week with my 10 & 7 yr. old granddaughters & there was a production going on at the castle it was hard when I saw the face of my 10 yr. old granddaughters when she learned she could not go through the castle. After driving all the way from NC to FL. the disappointment was overwhelming.
To many fast passes are given out making people’s waits inline extremely to long. The transportation system is broken. Family’s waiting in long lines to get on the Monorail at the end of a long exhausting day. You could get at least 20 more people on each car. Then people have to walk to the trams. Why can the trams not go up & down each isle to take people to their cars? Don’t tell me Disney doesn’t have enough money to buy more trams or monorails!
What came to my mind was the movie “Schillinders List” where there are pushing all the Jewish people into cattle cars taking them to the death camps. Not a thought someone should have as they are leaving what is supposed to be “The most Magical Place on Earth!” If you didn’t stick right with the people you were with you were separated in a second. I kept thinking about children getting taken.
I’m just asking that you take a step back & look at how things are. This is not what Walt Disney would have wanted I truly don’t believe. My husband & I have been to the museum in Museum in MO. That to me was a magical place. I learned so much about Mr. Disney, the magic tree, & how Mickey Mouse actually came to be. Then of corse right down the street is Tom Sawyers place, so you can see 2 places at the same time & it doesn’t cost you an arm & a leg to do both. The only time I was treated rudely was when my granddaughters went into see 2 of the Princesses. I went right across the way to the bathroom & came straight back. The girl would not let me in where my family was. Then after 3 try’s & getting very frustrated another young lady let me go in another way.
I am trying not to be critical. I just think if those who are responsible would go back to the drawing board & take a look at things a little better everyone that comes to Disney could have a much more
Magical Time. Something also needs to be done about the parade routes. So, any children not just my granddaughters could not even see the parade. There were more adults on the curb than children.
Perhaps the rule could be if you are over 4’9 you can not be on the curb.🤗🦋 Just consider some of the things I have suggested.
Sincerely,
Karen J. Caparolie
If you remember the Disney World of the 90's and compare it to the Disney World of this century you would be very disappointed and understand the frustration of some of the people on this site. Use to be that most Disney employees were retirees who were happy and good natured. The bus drivers would entertain you on Disney Transportation...now you get pre-recorded messages that are very impersonal.I am from NYC and get similar messages on the subway. I would expect a little more from Disney to make you excited to be there. You could tell they enjoyed their jobs and as many of them were grandparents they loved talking to the children and joking . Now what you get are foreign college students who do not know how to speak to anyone and pretty much stand in a group talking instead of doing their jobs. When you go into a holding area for a ride or show they speak on the microphone without any enthusiasm at all. It has made Disney kind of boring.
We no longer do Disney every year even though we belong to DVC. they seem to cater to people with money and not families who save up for a year or two to visit.
The children are more excited to go to a park in PA that we found called Knoebels. There is no gate admission, you just buy ride tickets so those who do not or cannot go on rides do not have to pay to come in. The rides range from $1 to $3 for the roller coasters. Food is great and inexpensive. It like a permanent county fair with about 100 rides and a pool with waterslides. There is a campsite attached and some private cottages to rent. It is family owned and the people who work there are very friendly and accommodating, even though a lot of them are teenagers working for the summer. People can also bring their dogs.
It cost us $ 257.00 Us since we are Canadian, plus extra $50.00 each for the scooter. We went straight to Avatar we got in line, at 9:20 am at 2:30 pm still in line then they announce there are having technical problems, the delay will be longer. All this time no sign saying if we are getting close, or how long we still have to wait, they have a water fountain but no washroom, no staff in site. We had to by pass everybody with our scooters in order to get out of that hell. We then took the train for the safari, we saw 3 white rhino and 2 butterflies and that is it . We will never have anything to do with Disney, it used to be great place, but now they only want your money . We had a better time at Universal and we got to see the attractions
I am one who can agree that disney is no longer the friendly place to go. My friend and I went there not long ago, both of us over fifty{barely}, AND BOTH IN NEED OF OUR CANES. We could not afford their wheelchair scooters and had no one to push us in regular ones, and now you must be in one to get into the short lines. they also no longer have disabled passes, these are for the rich now, not the disabled.Walt would be rolling in his grave to know this shameful degradation of his park and guests. It was also my birthday, and celebration of me surviving a heart attack and pacemaker. Some day for us! We left in tears, not able to stand in line, and it took them nearly 2 hours for that refund, and the bigwigs never had the balls to come out and face us. Not that 2 tiny ladies were that fearful to them, they just did not care about us. Now my two best friends are deceased, so that day can never be fixed. So much for disney being for everyone.
Just got back from Disney, took my 3 yr. old grandson to see the happiest place on earth. Now to be fair he did enjoy himself ( after he started feeling better after the 103 fever he got just before we left, ear infection.) but, he's 3 and it was something new. I myself wanted to enjoy it through his eyes and I did for the most part but, all I could focus on was the decline in excellence that Disney has always prided itself on. What's up with the characters not being all around the parks anymore? Why does a 3 yr. olds ticket cost almost as much as an adult when they can't even ride all the rides? Should be half for toddler 3-5 at least. Please for goodness sake put up left and right sides going into each section of the parks so, people don't run into each other. Need to have more rides especially for small children. I would love to see a cars exhibit at Disney World not just Disney Land, my grandson would of went crazy. Oh, one more thing I do not appreciate Disney or Disney employees trying to make me feel bad because I wasn't politically correct when asking if they had a boy bubble maker instead of only little mermaid. I don't care if my grandson has a little mermaid or princess Sofia, heck I bought him a baby doll and pink stroller when he was one and he loved it but, don't throw your agendas down mine or my grandson's face he should of had a choice and it's not for Disney to choose only gender natural (that's what we were told by an employee ). Clean it up Disney, Walt would be disappointed and if you need some ideas to help better the park call me... I have plenty. God Bless
I hate Walt Disney I spent 8000 dollars plus another 8000 on a ring to propose to my girlfriend in the Disney experience and no one helped me never again
QUIT COMPLAINING ! STOP STOP STOP supporting disney, THEY SUCK, RUDE, Employees are stupid punk ### kids WHO don't care. This is NOT what Walt wanted or dreamed of building. IT'S JUST COMMERCIALIZED BULL, Food is Horrible and not Healthy to eat - Crap pizza, hamburgers, chocolate crap, ice cream, drinks are unhealthy. they put together some lettuce, carrots and call it healthy - lettuce has no value in anything - even rabbits won't eat that crap. For what you pay for food it should at least be 3 star and I'd pay more for better food & choices.
My first visit & my last visit - 7 day's of HELL, being loaded in a bus like hogs going to slaughter, comfort doesn't matter to them ONLY $$$$$$$$$$$$$. Fireworks & laser shows half ### working, senseless ###. Word of mouth is our and your best ammunition, USE IT ! Over welming crowds, to the point of dangerous for all children. My grandchildren hated it, and now I feel guilty of not making them happy. NEVER AGAIN ! And I assure you I "WILL" spread the word, both on line, in person and all other ways I can.
We got tired for waiting for our e-mails to be answered. We got a lawyer to write them, they answer him. They made my off-site scooter company leave and I forced them back. Told the Hotel manageI I would file an ADA violation against them not only for the parks, resorts problems but Disney Cruise Lines for telling me I had to go now somewhere down in the boat to get scooter. The worse was when they took my scooter and hide it, which is against the law.. We are going after them BIG time not by suing, but video taping and we are going to turn it over the the MEDIA, so the world can know what low humans they are. My layers' has agree to hold news conference, so the world will know what greedy uncaring JERKS they are. If you see anything post it on youtube let others know...
Rip off
I went to Disney on the fourth of July and got screwed. I got there at 10:30 and when we did they informed us that it would be ok to leave go back to the hotel rest awhile and come back and we didn't have to pay again just show our tickets...yeah right. We didn't get back in. Plus they didn't even let us in. We spent 400 dollars for just tickets. I am going to try and get replacement tickets if not I am going to slap a lawsuit on them.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
Yes they don't care and BAIT and SWITCH is normal. They take your money and don't tell you they are closing early. You pay the same amount a day for one hour or twelve hours and you have no idea until you go into the park of the hours. Not at the ticket booth. - There is a sign on the parking booths where they collect more money to park to get into their park.
maybe the park was filled to capacity thats not their fault ... im sure they'd laugh at a law suit that would end up costing you more in legal fees
Year of a million nightmares!
On our recent trip to Walt Disney World, my family was almost ran over by a parking lot tram while we (and many other guests) were crossing in a marked crosswalk to the Handicapped parking lot at Epcot. My 78 year old father,in an electric scooter due to his Parkinson's disease, and my 10 year old daughter were nearly hit by the tram. It came within a foot of dad's scooter.
I have sent a letter to Disney, but after two weeks, I have heard nothing and don't expect to since Disney World is well known in numerous publications for ignoring complaints and problems. I am not asking for monetary compensation but a simple, formal, official apology and to know what their resolution of the persons involved in the situation were. (I live in Ohio, park admission tickets alone would be a waste anyhow.) Here is the letter I sent to Disney with all the details: August 13, 2007 Guest Claims Walt Disney Company P.O. Box 10000 Lake Buena Vista, Florida [protected] To whom it may concern: I am writing to you to tell you about our recent trip to Walt Disney World and one event near the end of the trip that totally devastated my 9 year old daughter and put a damper on the whole trip.
My family, along with some friends from Washington state, visited Disney World from July 30-August 5 of this year. This was my daughter's first visit to Disney World and my first since 1989. Our family group consisted of myself and my wife and our 9 year old daughter, my mother in law, my parents(both 78), my sister in law and her husband and 2 year old daughter and our friends a family of four (with 2 teenage daughters) who traveled from Washington State. We had been planning this trip for over a year. My father was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease earlier this summer and as a result had to use a motorized scooter while at Disney World. We stayed for six nights at the Port Orleans French Quarter, had 7 day park hopper tickets with Disney Dining Plan. First, let me say that the French Quarter was a fantastic hotel, we all enjoyed our stay there and the staff is excellent. The Disney Dining plan is also a very good option as wellin fact we were trying to use up all of our entitlements the last few days! (I think we may have still had one child's sit down meal left!) As far as the weather and crowds: it was hot and the parks were crowded and we lost most of our day at Animal Kingdom to the rain. But I am not complaining about those items. We selected that time period to come and were well aware (and prepared) for those issues.
The one issue that is minor that I will bring up before my major issue was Valet Parking at the Contemporary Hotel. We went to the Contemporary on Thursday, August 2 for dinner and I was planning to drop my parents (and the scooter) off at the door. When I pulled up and told the Valets this, they said that since we had a Handicapped License on our vehicle (it was our personal vehicle that we had driven down), the valet parking was free. They told the second vehicle (which also had a handicapped placard) the same thing. When we got our final bill for the week, there were $10 Valet Parking charges on both bills from the Contemporary Hotel! The front desk staff of the Port Orleans was very helpful and removed the charges. It seem very Unprofessional of those Valets to tell people one thing but then go ahead and make the charge from the hotel registration in the window! I didn't think Disney would prey on handicapped people like that! How many other Handicapped patrons have been taken advantage of this way? Now for the major issue and the real purpose of this letter. On Friday, August 3, 2007, our party was leaving Epcot at about 9:05 p.m. (This time is accurate because Illuminations had just begun and since we had seen it earlier in the week, we decided to leave.) We were parked in the Handicapped lot to the left as you are looking toward Spaceship Earth. There were two trams parked in the driveway between the handicapped lot and the main entrance. Our party, along with several other patrons, began to cross (in the crosswalk) the tramway between the lot and the gates. About 6 people, including my sister and brother in law (carrying his 2 year old), myself and some other guests were in the lead. All of a sudden one of the trams (#28) began to reve its engine, it jumped a couple of times and came roaring toward the crosswalk. We moved quickly and my brother in law and I (in the rear of this group) just got out of the way before the tram came roaring through. The tram went about four cars and stopped. I then looked through the tram cars to see my dad and daughter looking shocked on the other side. (the rest of our group was behind them.
At this point, myself and another gentleman from the group who had got across headed to the front of the train as did my father and a couple of other people who were still on the other side. (the tram was now blocking the crosswalk.) As we approached the cab, several Epcot Parking people (in yellow suits/vests) had converged on the cab from the other way. As we approached I saw what appeared to be the person in charge showing some flashlight symbols to the driver (still in his cab.) and shaking his head. (Could that mean the driver wasn't properly trained?) As we approached the cab, some of the parking lot workers saw us and said: 'we are handling this, it is under control.' At that point my father was very upset and said: 'that guy almost killed us!' (He explained that the tram had missed the front of his scooter by mere inches and my daughter was right beside him!) The gentleman I was with identified himself as a season pass holder and asked to speak to a Manager.I also expressed my opinion about the driver. The lead parking lot worker and an African American woman then began to become very irate with us and told us things like: 'it was a mistake,' 'he didn't mean to do it' 'we are handling this' and then the clincher: 'this is an internal matter, its none of your business.' (none of our business we almost got killed!). The leader then instructed the driver to move the tram. We were incensed; he was going to let this plainly incompetent driver continue to drive! Both the season pass holder and I stated that if the guy was allowed to continue driving, we would make a large scene and call everyone we could. The person who appeared to be in charge then replaced the driver and drove the tram away himself. The season pass holder then told the parking people that he was going to wait to speak to a Manager. My father, mother and daughter were still shaken by these events, so I chose to leave the scene at this point to get them back to the hotel.
Once back at the hotel, my father had to go to Concierge for another matter and while there, he reported the incident. The concierge at Port Orleans was fantastic! They made several calls right then and there about the incident and said that someone from Epcot Management would be calling us the next day on my cell phone. They also gave us the card for the manager of Epcot. The call never came until Tuesday, August 7 as we were driving home from Florida. They were supposed to call the next day, but of course waited until we had been checked out for two days. The person on the phone first spoke to my father and then me and we told her the whole story. It sounded as if she had never heard about it, so my guess is that no incident report was filed the night of the incident in spite of the fact that people were almost ran over! She thanked me for my report and said she would look into it. I asked her for a follow up call to make sure the situation was handled. She said that Disney does not do that. I told her that I expected a follow upcall or I would pursue this through a legal course. She did call me back on Saturday, August 11 and informed me that Epcot had handled the situation but she could not provide me with any details. I then informed her of the latest development and she was the one who gave me the 'Guest Claims' address to write to. I most likely would have dropped this whole issue after her follow up call, except for something that happened after we got home. On Thursday, someone asked my daughter what she remembered most about her trip to Walt Disney World. Her reply was: 'Grandpa and I almost got ran over by a tram.' I'm sorry, but a 9 year olds memory of her first visit to Disney World should not be that. She has also been very quiet about the trip to Disney ever since that night. When school resumes in 10 days, I plan on asking the School Psychologist to talk to her and I am hopeful that this incident has not scared her. As a result, I have decided to write these letters to you and others at Disney. Since I can't read the report of that night and know that the driver has been properly punished, I am also considering telling my story in a letter to the editor of the Orlando Sentinel (which someone the Unofficial Guide gave me the address to) so that the driver will see what he has done to a little girl and get a real punishment. (since he probably is still on the job with no loss of time or pay) I may also write the story to the editor of the Columbus Dispatch, my hometown paper. You should also know that I am waiting on a response from the State of Florida as to who I need to contact there to file an unsafe operation complaint about the tram operation at Epcot. I have also began to tell this story on Travel Websites and may write to travel magazines and my father is preparing a letter for the AARP. I have read many books in preparation for my trip to Disney and the one thing that sticks out from the 'Unofficial Guide to Walt Disney World' is a comment that Disney World's biggest flaw is that it does not really respond to or act on complaints, so I don't expect a response. I'm sure this will all be shoved under the rug. Epcot should be ashamed of this whole incident and especially the attitudes and actions of the cast members around that tram that night. They were certainly the worst examples of Disney I have ever encountered. The whole bunch should have been punished.
The sad part about all of this is that IF that tram had been just a foot either way from its path, this would have been handled completely differently what would the public reaction have been if a 78 year old man in a scooter and a 9 year old girl had actually been hit OR if my brother in law had been hit carrying his 2 year old? We give thanks to God that he was watching out for us that night. (My friends from Washington State were also in an auto accident on Sunday afternoon as we were driving from Disney to Cocoa Beach. They were in their rental mini van when they were rammed at a toll booth, totaling the car and destroying much of their luggage. God watched over them as well then as there was no injuries!) Year of a Million Dreams? Hopefully my daughter won't think of this as a ' year of a million nightmares! '

Florida Residents are big impact all year around for Disney World company regards a traveling to the parks and stay at resort hotels telling us
hotels and parks special prices .Nothing at all nothing but lies they outrages prices for hotels is out this world where we pay same price as normal
and view to parking lots around areas are hotel much better of Disney resorts larger rooms a better prices
Floridian sure pay more attention to this liar of Disney Company toward Florida Residents where we sustains the Disney Company all year around
more than other visitor (sure they pack and move out)
OMG! What a mountain out of a moe hill! It was a mistake mistakes happen. You did not almost die. Your just making something out of nothing. If a 9 year old half grown kid is that upset she must be a serious wacko . I can't believe you want people to lose there job over a little nothing incident.
This is just my observation and opinion. The poor, and/or rude service from front-line Disney World workers is the change of demographics in DW hiring over the last 25 yrs or so. Let me explain. As someone who grew-up in South Fla. in the 1970's, I remember going to Disney World a couple of times each year. Even when I was in college, I went there a few times a year during the early-mid 80's. Back then most front line park employees were young, college age folks. Many working part time and going to college. They also hired mostly local high school kids who were thrilled to be working at DW rather than the Waffle House in Kissimee. There was a rigorous hiring process and only the best applicants would be hired. It was considered a privilage to work for DW. Money wasn't great, but again, it was the prestige. There were park employees everywhere. Ready with a smile. Then CEO Eisner became onboard b/c Disney was bleeding money. LotS of money. He cut staffing levels by about 25%. Put the screws on the workers. Do more with less. After a while of this the DW smile starts to fade. Also, central Fla. changing demographics affected the hiring pool. Those smiling, cheerful and motivated college and high kids were replaced with middle-age, and senior citizens. Last time I was with my own kids at DW, most workers appeared to be 60+. I have nothing against geriatric workers, but some of them are just not cut out to be smiling and cheerful DW workers. Some are old, tired and cranky. Very cranky. Also, alot of immigrants are being hired. Many appear to be eager to help, answer a questions, but can not speak and /or understand English well. Many sometimes will speak in their native language(mostly Spanish) with other workers and/or customers. If one is not used to dealing with people whose native language is not English, I can see how a Englisg only customer might percieve this as rudeness. Myself, growing up in S. Fla., Speaking Spanish and dealing with other cultures is not unusual. However, if you are say, Milwakee WI, you are not used to this.
Best of luck with your future visits.
Some peoplel are pathetic...Disney does things right...We live in South Florida and are annual passholders. which means we go there ALOT..AT LEAST 6 TIMES A YEAR... and if she thinks she getting a free trip, tickets, vacation packages or anything else...DREAM ON... I have a handicap sticker on my SUV and why you would give the Valet your room card is beyond me...We leave the keys in the truck, they give us a white ticket...we tip them...and that's it...These people are the kind that will complain to get stuff for free, if everything dosen't go there way...I FEEL VERY SORRY FOR THE KIDS...THEY HAVE TO HEAR THERE MANIAC FAMILY MEMBERS...
My husband and I were gifted on our 30th anniversary to an all expenses paid trip to Disney this past October by our 'children'. We stayed at the Pop Century resort and had meal passes. I have nothing but praise for the resort staff. They were courteous and very helpful. The staff at the parks is another matter. The overall rude behavior of the Disney Park employees, particularly those in the Magic Kingdom, was memorable enough to make sure I never go back. I did get employee names and I did write a letter to Disney. I did not want or expect any type of monetary remuneration. I simply wanted to make Disney management aware of some of their employee's less than stellar job performance...as I would hope my customers would do if one of my employees behaved badly.

All of the negative people coming down on someone who feels a certain way or are unhappy about his or her experience should just keep your comments to yourself. I can't wait for each of you to have a bad (in your mind) experience at Disney, or any other place for that matter, so that others can tell you how crazy you seem, sound, or are!
I also thought Disney was a great place to go until we were literally kicked out of our $1500/night room the last 2 nights because the resort (the infamous Grand Floridian) screwed up our reservation even after I confirmed our remaining length of stay with the front desk two days prior to our departure from the hotel. Don't worry, your time will come!
As a former Cast member and working in parking operations ie. Tram driver and Spieler. YOU ARE WARNED with signs posted and by 2 LOUD horn blasts that a tram is going into motoion and that they have the right of way and WILL NOT STOP!. the Spielers warn people on board that trams have the right of way. and at any point in the parking lot around any tram area you can see yellow signs stating that trams have the right of way. and as a tram driver going a full 13mph it is not easy to stop the tram thats why we honk to warn you to back up out of the way. and it is YOUR fault that you crossed the safety polls without looking and if you did look and see it comming it was all your fault. i have had many people look at me and give me looks when i honk and wave them out of the way like, we have the right of way, YOU DONT< TRAMS DO! and any tram driver slows down if we get with a certin distance to a person or area, We have 3 color lines for our speeds and we cant break that color speed. and before going thu most crosswalks defently at the TTC you hear 2 honks before it passes. and all others we move to miss or stop if guests are present. i have worked epcot and mk and both are hard to be in the path unless you fail to look and then again it is YOUR fault!
Disney needs to have American citizen day. Way too many stinking foreigner there to who can't speak ENGLISH. Come on if you can afford disney you can afford a English book!
Last night, 25 December 2010 may be my last visit to any Disney park. I had decided to visit Magic Kingdom with my family thinking it would be a memorable experience. Well it was, but not in a good way! The park was extremely crowded, but this was not too unusual since it was Christmas day. What was surprising was what happened when we started to leave after the 10pm Fireworks show. The crowds were so congested that our small children were in danger of being trampled. Crowd control and management was a total meltdown for the Disney cast members. Once we arrived at the ferry dock to return to our cars, we learned that the ferry was closed down, and were directed towards the bus terminal area. The mob of people leaving completely swarmed the bus terminal. I did not see one Disney employee there to control the crowd or provide direction. After being pushed and shoved slowly towards our bus terminal (for over 2.5 hours), a Disney employee showed up and told us that the ferry had been re-opened. Several people went down to the ferry only to learn that this was incorrect information. The bus drivers seemed confused and overwelmed. Several of the buses left the terminal with just a few people on board. Eventually a couple of Disney managers showed up but kept their distance from the angry crowd. They were getting their [censor] chewed out by a few folks. The whole thing looked like the keystone cops, not the Disney I remember from years past. Next to me was a man in a wheel chair who was wet from a recent downpour. I arranged for him to advance in front of me in the line, after issuing a few crowd motivating military style commands, they got the hell out of our way. A Disney employee was standing near us the entire time in the back of the bus terminal was not doing anything. It was not until a few of us became vocal about the situation that the employee finally came over to escort the man and another lady in a wheel chair over to the buses. The other lady in the wheel chair was completely out in the rain, covered with plastic waiting for someone to help her. She looked like a corpse at first glance. If I EVER return to Disney, it will be for the purpose of documenting this management melt down on video and uploading it to Youtube and distribution to news affiliates.
Disney`s Pixar Canada's landlord may have forced at least six tenants in their Gastown location out of their premises to accommodate their expansion. Disney-Pixar set up temporary headquarters in the Water Street building in April 2010, subsequenty decided they wanted to stay and acquire more space, and began negotiating with the building landlord, which conveniently resulted in cancelled leases for existing tenants and denial of lease renewals that were the tenant's options. Technicalities were found to deny continuation of these tenancies, including eviction due to major building renovations (renos were minor alterations), late rent technicalities (when tenants duly and regularly paid their rent), and not allowing renewal options by failing to negotiate lease rates. All these small local artistic companies had no intentions of leaving and none of these issues with the landlord surfaced until Pixar wanted more space. They now have had to relocate at their own expense. It is very difficult to believe Pixar could be unaware that, just as they indicated their preference to stay, virtually all of the building's tenants suddenly began moving out en masse. Each tenant has a story about their eviction that will come to light soon. The sad thing is that there is a lot of available vacant production space in Vancouver that Pixar could have had without being the impetus resulting in small independent creative businesses having to move..

Sounds like a very disorganized complaint without much in the line of facts or information. "we paid extra to get in". Paid who, Disney or a Travel Agent? Why would you pay extra, the price is the price? What did your confirmation letter say? "we got in without paying". Sounds like they offered you compensation for the inconvenience, which it sounds like you accepted. "i SOOOOOOOOO wanted to sue them" This will be difficult without facts...
Going to WDW isn't like going to Six Flags, where you can fly by the seat of your pants- it's a huge deal, and if you're planning to go, you should plan to plan. If you want character dinings and really special experiences, you have to put some thought into it. If you don't care enough to make some plans and want things to just 'magically' work out for you because you're just that special, then you'll always be disappointed.
She probably didnt buy the park hopper with water park and disneyquest. You wont get in if you didnt purchase that extra. What she did pay extra for was the hopping option most likely.
