Domino's Pizza USA Perplexingly well-done app

I'm not sure what's going on here. An app for a fast-food chain that works as intended, and shows intuitiveness at times? Is... Is this the end times?

Maybe it is because I come into these kinds of apps expecting the worse, but wow. They did great with this one. It looks and feels like it was actually designed for the iPad, and not just a crappy website in the shape of an app.

It's got beautiful high-res photos of pizzas, and most options are one or two taps away. It's actually more convenient than the website! How... Who...

There are some hiccups, though. The app doesn't inform customers of proper stipulations to the coupons, and seems to, in some cases, have the details of the coupon wrong.

I ordered a medium American Legends pizza for $10.99, which means you can pick off a list of their pizzas or make your own with whatever you want as long as it's standard portions. However, it came out a couple bucks more than it should have been. I removed it, and went through the coupon selecting one of Domino's predesigned offerings and, there we go! $10.99! For a... large? O--okay... I'll be cool with exchanging jalapeños for onions if it means I get a larger pizza for less money.

A previous reviewer kept saying Dominos was trying to "bait and switch him"because the price of the pizza was more than the coupon said, and the manager said he had they had no control over the app and would have to pay more for pan crust! Dude, it says right on the maker that certain crusts or toppings may be extra. Pan crust usually costs extra unless the deal specifies pan pizza. Also given the above experience, I think something's just screwy with how the coupons were programmed.

Otherwise, it's a friggin' free fast food pizza app, why are you even reading this review? Sheesh.

Domino's Pizza USA One suggestion for improvement

I’ve ordered through this app a few times during the pandemic, and I must say it’s a well done app that gives all the options for ordering and customizing things to get just what I want.

My suggestion is that, since the app keeps reminding me this will be a contactless delivery... how about adding something like what Lyft does, texting me to ask me to ask if I want to give a tip to the driver? Out of the three times I’ve ordered, the first time I was expecting the option to tip by text, but never saw it. I’m sure I never got a tip to him or her, but I wanted to. Wasn’t sure how to, with a contactless delivery. The second and third time, I went to the door to make sure I could sign the receipt and add a tip. So I gave the driver a tip, but it wasn’t contactless ‍♂️ I’m not paranoid enough to think a quick handoff of a receipt and signature would get me sick with COVID, which is why I did it. Your app didn’t expressly tell me how to give a tip contactlessly. It still has the tiny text somewhere on the page saying that the delivery charge isn’t a tip for the driver, but that was always there. Nothing before placing the order and nothing after receiving it, about how to give a contactless tip.

On the fourth order, which I’m waiting for as I write this, I’ll just let them leave it as they did the first one. Then I’ll log back into the app and see if there is somewhere an option for giving a tip after the contactless delivery has been made. If I can’t find the option, I’ll be lowering my review. You owe your employees better than this. We want to tip them and also stay safe during a pandemic, but you’re costing them money by not proactively giving your customers information on how to do so.

PS Nope, couldn’t find a way in-app to tip the driver after delivery. So I’m lowering my rating to 3. You gotta fix that, guys.

Domino's Pizza USA Dominos For President

This app makes ordering pizza way easier than it should be. The days are over when you had to hold a phone your head and talk to a person just to order pie. No longer do you even have to use my thumbs to enter your credit card number - I can just take a picture, and faster than you can say "like a snap" BAM! I'm deep in the flavor of satisfaction . Seriously, writing this review was more of a hassle than using the Dominos app to get fresh delicious pizza delivered to my door with minimal human-on-human interaction. You should stop reading this review right now and download this app. You'll be reviewing delicious pizza with your mouth long before you're done reading this review. I hope that I will be able to convince you that the Dominos Pizza App (the DPA, as we like to call it in the pizza club I got to join just by subscribing with my email - I can't say much more now, not until you're a member. It's a pretty exclusive club and I don't want to get kicked out. If I wasn't reviewing this awesome app right now, I could even be checking the progress of my pizza. Not only that, but I can customize the animation that shows me how where at my pizza is becoming, with personalized messages. Right now, Marco is double checking my order to make sure everything was made to perfection. I didn't vote in the election today, but I did give $1 to St Jude's Children's Hospital thanks to the convenient donation option provided by the app at checkout. It wasn't a big deal, because since I used the DPA, I already saved over $7.50, my $1 donation can help buy them some diapers and isolation gowns. PLUS, there's a "News" section! I can catch up on all the cool pizza news I've been missing out on. I never knew you could order right from the comfort of Facebook! I have a lot to learn. I'm going to go back to using the app now, because it's so awesome. #bringmoney

Domino's Pizza USA Needs work

To be fair, this is a decent, first effort. But I'd expect more from a company as big and wealthy as Domino's.

- No multitasking support. So, I get a call or switch apps for whatever reason, and when I return to the app, I've lost my place? Some info I'd entered was saved, but not all. Lame.

- Navigation is clunky. Even if you're just checking the status of your order, you have to confirm whether you want "Delivery" or "'Carryout" [sic]. Why?

- What's with having to enter our phone numbers just to track our orders? You've just made me confirm "Delivery" or "Carryout" [sic] settings *andmy address. So, you clearly know who I am. Why, then, must I also enter a phone number to check the delivery status? That's just dumb.

- The main page shows an empty shopping cart. But at the top is a button labeled "edit." Well -- edit what? Tap it, and -- nothing happens. Presumably if there's something in your shopping cart, this is where you can edit your order. But if there's no current order, why does the button even EXIST? That's dumb design. Hide the confusing Edit button until there's something to edit!

- On the upper right is a button with a house icon. So, that must take you to the "Home" page, right? But wait -- I'm already on the very first page of the app. So what's the "Home" button for? Well, darned if I still don't know. The items revealed by that have nothing to do with "home," per se. So, it's a poorly labeled button.

- There's nowhere to leave special instructions for your order. My store tends to make their pizzas too dark. So, when I order online, I ask them not to do so. Unfortunately this isn't yet possible with the app.

- Finally, there's a typo on the order-tracking page: "Your pizza is on it's way." [sic] The word is "its," not "it's." Learn the difference! And proofread your apps (just as I'm proofreading this review before submitting it). LOL.

Domino's Pizza USA Salt Lake City, Ut

First time using the app to order pizza. The app like other apps has your info, phone number, etc. My local Domino’s is .75 miles from my house. I left my house once my tracker notified me that my pizza was being “quality checked”. Also my app said that the estimated time my pizza was going to be ready 8:22. The time I was sitting in car I noticed that employees were standing around laughing and conversing. No big deal. At 8:30 my tracker updated saying that my pizza now will be ready at 8:32. At 8:45 I finally walked in and asked if my order was ready because according to my tracker my order is still being “quality checked “. The guy looked at me and said, oh yeah, once your order goes into the quality check section your order is ready. I told him this was my 1st time using their app and what’s the use of the ready section on their app. I’m supposed to assume that I know that my pizza has been ready for the 20 minutes I been sitting in your parking lot and after the app notified and my order wasn’t going to be ready for another 10 minutes later than the original time of 8:22. With everything going on in today’s world with social distancing I didn’t want to just walk in and rely on the your app tracker to be accurate. Furthermore, if my pizza was ready at 8:22 and I just happened to walk in at 8:45, you mean in that 23 minutes that my pizza has been sitting under your warmer. The app has my phone number and clearly there were enough employees standing around and obviously they kept looking out at the only car in your parking lot. You guys couldn’t call my number that’s on your app or come and check that hey, is this your order that has been sitting here for 23 minutes. My cashier, she was nice but the guys who walked by that assumed that I was supposed to know that my order is ready...we try to stay local and support our local businesses but if they care...get rid of your app if your not going to the personal info that we provide you!

Domino's Pizza USA Issues Regarding App Usability

1. App cannot seem to update itself after employees update the status of orders. It’s either delayed or the status does not change and you’re left surprised when they’re at your door already and the app says “Quality Check”.

2. Status of the order is notified to me that a Domino’s driver is on the way, but when I view with app, it still holds the “Quality Check” status. This leaves me waiting anywhere from 5 - 20 minutes outside, curiously wondering when my order will actually be leaving the store.

3. If a delivery driver is completing an order before they take your order to you, you should be notified so the customer isn’t confused wondering why the driver is going in a completely different direction than the delivery location.

4. Sending the orders to store fails. This has been a big issue lately. Possibly to do with how many orders a store takes at once, but could be poor communication across servers.

5. Location of the order is inaccurate or completely disabled. I’m not too against this seeing that Location may be based off an employees phone and could have poor cellular connection.

6. Customers should be notified if a store is busier than normal so they are warned that they may be waiting longer for their order. Another warning that should be included, traffic updates! If there’s a sign of an accident that a delivery driver is stuck behind or anything else, notify, notify, NOTIFY.

Now I have nothing against Domino’s, great franchise and great service. However, I cannot condone to terrible issues with the app that have been ignored for years. I’ve been using the app for well over 2 years now and have been using multiple Domino’s location over that period within the app, so different areas cannot be blamed for poor employee usage when they’ve been using it correctly.

Sorry for the review being so lengthy, but as a person that used to build websites, I focus on User Interfaces that are friendly and useful to the consumer. Domino’s Corporate has plenty of a budget to improve their application, and in the long run could improve their sales.

Like I said nothing against Domino’s, just the application :(

Food 9/10
Application 2/10

Domino's Pizza USA Heavy Handed Marketing

First, even after turning off a the option to say I do not want marketing alerts on my phone, my Sunday afternoon was interrupted with one.

After going back in to confirm this setting, I noticed a separate opt out for sharing of information.

With most apps, that option is simple check box or yes/no. Dominos has made it unnecessarily difficult.

First, even though I am logged into the app and they know my email address, they want me to manually type it. Twice. Then I have to click the check box to confirm I am a human (presumably because they are overwhelmed with bots trying to opt out of having their information shared).

Then I have to read a long message carefully to be sure that I answer the Yes/No question accurately. (Yes. I am sure I want to opt out.)

Now the real fun begins. I have to wait for an email with a code, which needs to be typed in. (This is called multi-factor authentication, and the idea that it is required to be opted out of information sharing, yet is NOT required for someone using my credit card to order pizza is the best evidence yet of Dominos backwards priorities.)

Ah but it gets more interesting. 20 minutes later the email finally arrives. Inside the message warns the code expires in 12 minutes. Sure enough I enter the code as soon as I receive it (yes, I was refreshing my inbox often) - and I receive the message that the code has expired.

Unlike other sites and apps that use this approach, the Dominos app doesn’t offer a “resend code” option. Nope. Instead they kick me completely out of the menus and back to the home screen, where my only choice is to repeat everything above.

The second time through I receive the email with a few minutes to spare, but still had to wait several minutes knowing I had a small window to see the message and use it.

This time I get the code entered and accepted. Then receive some cryptic message indicating the decision will be reflected in my next “visit”, which it then goes on to suggest closing and re-opening the app to start a new visit.

After doing so, I find no indication anything is different.

I’ve deleted the app and am giving Slice a try next, which lets me patronize my local, independent pizza shops anyway. (No I am not affiliated with them.)

Domino's Pizza USA Food great, App needs work

My grandson (8) and I have been waiting for weeks for the new Dominos to open down the street. Had seen endless ads for the app to order so when the stars aligned, I downloaded and set to work.
It was quick to download and generally easy to use but...
In order to join the rewards program you naturally have to set up an account. Using my iPhone as always, I expect to be able to use the auto fill for name, address, all that jazz. Nope. Got to type it all out.
Excited to see that their menu has been seriously upgraded. Sadly there are only tiny pictures of the items. Now usually when you click on a tiny picture of something either it opens a larger picture or a pop up that gives you more info about the product. Not here! You just get to guess from the item name and a pic smaller than a dime.
At first, I had planned to order for delivery. It was a chilly and damp night and the Olympic figure skating event was on. I fully expected to pay a delivery charge, which the app clearly states doesn’t go to the driver.
So I click to checkout. And of course, I have to enter my card info, which can at least scan. But I can’t use the same info for that card which is already saved in my wallet, or Apple Pay using that info.
Even more unbelievably, there is no place to add a tip for the driver! Really! I seldom, if ever, have cash around. I shop online and use my card when I do go out.
So I have to go back through the app and figure out how to change my order to carry out since I’m not about to pay a trumped up delivery charge for a two block trip and then stiff the person who actually brings it to me.
The tracker did work fine in my case, we got there a few minutes after it said ready and our order had obviously been done for at least a couple minutes. I asked the staff as I paid about the app that didn’t allow for tipping the driver and what year is this? And they were like, yeah we know, we pass it on all the time still nothing. So...
The pizza was delicious as was the Parmesan twist bread. I will probably continue to order for carry out simply because it doesn’t make sense to add 50% to our order for delivery charge and tip when they are literally two blocks away. But still...join the 21st century and finish the app to take advantage of tech available.

Domino's Pizza USA Not the store, the company

Hey there. Typically I wouldn’t bother with this type of feedback... but I have to say that I order a Dominoes Pizza a few times a year, conservatively speaking (I’m not a “kid” who might live on pizza,) but I’m a single male with a small amount of expendable income. So things like pizzas in a Sunday night are something I might be inclined to do. Here’s my issue, which I find annoying enough to jot this stuff down to you. You had/have a reward program. I’ve been promised a pizza at 60 points. Several times. Oddly, when I’m about at 50 points or so, the “sign on” or my “profile” changes and I start from zero again. It just seems so so cheesy (no pun intended) and so obviously either openly purposefully disingenuous or if not quite that ugly then its wildly stupid or just inconsiderate. Even if my email changed (it hasn’t ) or if my address had changed (it hasn’t) or my credit card has changed (it hasn’t) you guys should be EASILY be able to know that it’s me that is ordering. Even if it’s JUST by my address and NAME (my name hasn’t changed either ... not in 56 years ). So the rewards program thing is sort of insulting. And I just ordered a pizza tonight. And had to the-register again. (Yes again... oddly ... I was at the point of getting a free pizza - again lol - but I won’t.). The reason I won’t get a free pizza is because your ‘reared program’ is intentionally and designed to NOT WORK. Unless a person is super diligent and lives to hold corporate America accountable, most won’t bother with following up on the program. The nonsense, insincere program. Like I am. But here’s what I will do. I’ll write this email. And I’ll see if you actually reply. And as far as I’m concerned, your organization owes me about three large pizzas. If you reply, and correct it, I might be impressed. But I can tell you that this is the last pizza I will order from dominoes. At least at this juncture. (If anyone reads this in customer relations etc. and gets back to me I’d be shocked. And I want to be 100 percent clear... this is not the flaw or an issue with the actual store. It’s the corporate leadership. They make the programs and the website. The store here in manhattan is perfecting fine. And friendly. And nice. Thank you.
Paul
You should have my info.
Thank you.

Domino's Pizza USA *Saving A Single Mom's Arse*

Has anyone ever tried making a phone call while you're holding your screaming infant? If you have, you know the struggle and just how hard and difficult it truly is and can be! If you haven't, let me inform you now that it definitely doesn't work out very great and can turn into quite the catastrophe!

When you're a single parent, you have no one to take that screaming baby from your arms so you're able to make that phone call and at least place an order to get yourself some dinner. As single parents, we don't get breaks. We don't get "relief" from being a parent and busting our butt all day when the other parent arrives home from work because they don't exist in their child's life... and guess what?! We still have to figure out and try to make and take time for ourselves. We need our strength and energy up as much as possible every single day. We're not only one of the most important people in a child's life but, we're two...both mommy and daddy and so that doesn't exactly leave time to do much of anything... from not being able to make a home cooked meal anymore to not even being able to make that what use to be such a simple task and phone call to order food.

Dominos App is the BEST... it's absolutely PERFECT for my lifestyle right now! I can hold my screaming baby and pace back and forth all while being able to place an order and get some food delivered so this mamadada could eat and get some energy to fuel me for the rest of the night. I was able to use the app with ease, it's highly convenient and the simplicity of it is wonderful. Anyone will be able to use it and for me personally, I was able to use the dominos app without getting anxiety and ending up all stressed out and worked up from trying to order food over the phone, while I was hangry and dealing with a demon spawn child screaming bloody murder for no reason and was unable to and couldn't place her order verbally over the telephone due to complications and restraints in life!

The added bonus to all of this was that all of the lights and sounds on my phone were able to help my baby boy out... apparently it soothed and comforted him...and it ended up catching his attention to the point where he stopped screaming! It was like a triple win!

What a great day to be able to use such a great app! Dominos rocks!

Domino's Pizza USA Really Perfect!

Ok, so I don't usually rate apps. But I am impressed w/Domino's new app! The 1st version was flawed & annoying. Wanted pizza tonight cuz too tired to cook. I was surprised how very fast it was! I figured my order would sit there for an hour before anyone even got to it, & wasn't sure if I could order specialty pizzas & sides, etc. YEP! Even extra sauces! And the waiting process us SUPER FAST & made fun by their "order tracker" where u can see exactly what they're doin in real time! (& send a message to your pizza maker! Lol). Within 2 mins the tracker had moved from "received your order" to "preparing your order," then a couple mins later "in the oven" (& I hadn't even found enough cash to pay for it by then! ) & within 5-6 short mins said "on its way to you." The whole process from ordering to having the pizza in my hands was literally less than 10 mins! So don't be afraid to try this guys!

U can add personal messages, & customize your order down to the toppings & sides, even order extra sauces & everything! Plus they also have a coupon section where you can save even more (& the flaw applying extras to the coupon item that affect the price, has been fixed! So now if u add an extra, u still get the coupon credit! Awesome!) It was easy to use, & probably my new fav app! I am not often impressed by apps. So deserves 5 stars. You can even choose your crust type from their list of options, which is stuff u used to not be able to do w/coupon items, as it messed up the sale price when U start substituting toppings, etc.

Only thing to fix: Still cannot choose sauces different than what your item comes with (so if u get BBQ wings, & ranch is the only option listed for thus item, but I wanted to change it to BBQ sauce & order an extra...it wouldn't allow me, so had to settle for ranch). Also delivery guy forgot my icing (but thats not the app's fault, & he was polite). But a small glitch in an otherwise brilliant app still makes it worth using for someone like me, who just has to change things in combo-orders, like "I want mushrooms instead of onions, & BBQ sauce instead of regular" so I loved it! Lol. Those are the kind of details often lacking in apps like this, so kudos. Dominos has really sped up its delivery process! Must make it easier for staff there too! No more grumpy customers, & no more waiting 45 mins-1 hr. Yay! Pizza came hot & fast!

Domino's Pizza USA Best gluten free pizza around!

Dominos was not my favorite pizza place, I’ll admit, for many years. I think I tried them a few times over twenty years or so, and was not impressed. I found out by accident really that they had improved both their food and their entire franchise operation by quite a lot. I moved from Chicago, where I had lived for 30 years with literally thousands of places that would deliver delicious food to my doorstep in under an hour, to a small-town rural area in North Carolina, where the only two places that would deliver to my neighborhood at all were Dominos and a single Chinese food place. So I had no choice the first time to order delivery food from them, but to my surprise I discovered that the number one reason to order from Dominos is not that they are the only pizza place who delivers to my house, but that they have the best gluten free pizza I have ever had. Yes, I said Gluten Free, and EVER had, and you will remember I lived in Chicago previously, so I have tried a LOT of gluten free pizza over the years. Dominos GF crust actually tastes good and has a good texture, not like tasteless cardboard. It even reheats well. If you’re gluten free, you know exactly what I’m talking about. I have consistently gotten excellent GF pizza from our local Dominos, and now highly recommend them to everyone. I wish that they made GF pizzas that were bigger than 10”, but that is a very minor issue. The rest of the family and many other people I have now shared Dominos food with love their regular pizza and say their bread twists, cheesy bread, sandwiches, brownies, and wings are also excellent. It’s a great menu overall and after they renovated the restaurant and got those cool new cars it made everything even better. The delivery people are always so nice and the food always arrives quickly and hot, so we are always happy!
*One warning: Dominos is not a gluten free certified restaurant and is therefore only for gluten sensitive people or people who desire to follow a gluten free diet, not for celiac disease people. They do their best to keep a separate area for the creation of their GF pizzas and I have not had any problems beyond a vague grumbling every now and then, but the GF pizzas are still made in the vicinity of wheat flour and therefore are not safe for celiac sprue patients. They have a disclaimer on their app site when you order the GF pizza but another warning never hurts.

Domino's Pizza USA True test is when things go wrong

If you would have told me last year that I would write a one star review of the app, I would have said you were crazy. The app makes ordering pizza easy, and the tracking is awesome. It lets you know where things are. Except when it doesn’t.

The focus is getting the order in and handling the financials for that. But it doesn’t seem to accurately reflect the pizza status when things go wrong, and it doesn’t let the purchaser cancel the request if it has been outstanding for too long.

Last night I used my pizza reward to order a free pizza. The app got my pizza order charged me for the delivery. This was at 5:02 PM. At 5:12 PM I got the notice that it was out of the oven and being quality checked. And that would be the last update I would get for the order. At 6:12 I tried calling the store and stayed on hold for 5 minutes before giving up. I tried again at about 7:15 this time just waiting for about 10 minutes before giving up. I figured the store must have been swamped or something bad must have happened. I ended up walking to the store, and sure enough they were swamped. Apparently some employees had not come in that day. I saw a lone employee making pizzas and the manager getting them out of the oven and coordinating with delivery folks. At that point it was after 8PM and I’d asked if the pizza had been made, I’m spite of the status on the App, it hadn’t. So I canceled the order. The store manager was extremely nice, and he and the lone worker looked like they had had a rough time.

But the app had not helped at all. There doesn’t seem to have been a way for the store to indicate that there was a problem, and maybe even manage the flow of requests by either setting expectations on timing, or making the store temporarily unavailable for new requests until it catches up, but I suspect the system is not designed to know when there is a problem or when they have caught up to their orders.

I am guessing that the system says that the status of your pizza is that it is ready to be checked 10 minutes after the order is accepted. It had done something similar when it indicated that a pizza had been delivered when, in fact, it hadn’t. I suspect that since there wasn’t anyone accepting the quality check, it just stayed there. If this happens there should be some way to cancel the order. The app tells you to call the store. Unfortunately they were so swamped that option did not work.

And of course, I did not get the free pizza credited back to my account!

None of this marked the end of the world, but it shows that there are holes in the design of the system. I’ll probably order pizza again, but I would never open a franchise.

Domino's Pizza USA Decent app, less than mediocre experience

I haven’t had domino’s since I was a teenager... and that's a LONG time. Domino's wasn't known to be that good back then- you'd order it as a last resort (and it really was the only delivery option back then so that's not a high bar). But I recently saw an ad somewhere that influenced me to give it another try. PLUS, I'd rather support Domino's and other individual entities over Doordash, Uber Eats or any of the other deliver services. The app made it easy to order even without an account... that's great. I received notifications that my pizza was in the oven then when it was out for QC. It was in QC over 25 minutes . Then I received a notification the driver was on the way... 1.1 miles away- or 3 minutes down a straight road, no turn, no traffic. 19 minutes later I received a call from the driver, "I left your order in the lobby". I live in apartments that have special parking for delivery services and a very easy/quick protocol to get access and deliver to apartments taking 1-2 mins- deliveries are constant for residents here. I informed the driver I have a sleeping baby and I can't go to the lobby. Too bad, driver had left and was calling from his car. I was able to get a neighbor to grab it for me. The pizza was wrong... missing 2 ingredients and the ingredients it did have were piled in the center 2 inches of it- the rest of the pizza was almost entirely sauce and cheese. Hate to nitpick but since it was in "QC" for so long it wasn't cut per the option I chose. It was also cold... I'm not convinced that was the extra 5 mins of it sitting in the lobby... most likely had to do with 39 mins of QC and delivery... I'm ok with cold pizza but not what I paid a premium price. Last... I ordered a 12" pizza with 4 ingredients. The delivery charge and tip were slightly over 50% of the cost of the pizza itself, which wasn't cheap (a great pizza place I use Doordash for is cheaper for the pizza plus free delivery). I clicked on "report an issue" many times the last couple hours... I get a web page that says "oops sorry we're not there yet" - I can report after the delivery. The app shows delivered. I give up. So even tho the driver didn't finish delivering my pizza, I couldn't change or recover the tip. Couldn't get the delivery charge back. And I was left with an incorrectly made cold pizza. All for the special price of $32.18... $11 of which was delivery, taxes and tip. BTW- I didn't notice when I ordered but if you choose a % for the tip, it's calculated on top of the delivery and tax charges- no idea when that became acceptable... tips are supposed to be on the food only. Based on how long the last time it was I ordered Domino's, my guess is I'll be in the grave before doing it again.

Domino's Pizza USA Lets see if Dominoes even looks at this!

Why write a review? What do work for someone else's. See look at the commercials we all see on TV! They get paid to be either a background support or even a great role! And these union or non union actor or actress get either paid or they get national paid... Wow isn't that get and still see them ratting at CPK... Or having Pizza Hut delivered to their house because they have no respect for the company that made them who they are! But 2 months and that National money is Nationally gone... But here we are just the user that use this app and depend on this because its easier to place the order online than to have to repeat your first and last names to an employee that complains that he has to work because that's what life is about. This ungrateful person is the same person spending all this money or should I say his paycheck all in less than an hour because he can understand the meaning of life. This employee rather put you on hold or even pick up the phone and still act like life is to rough.. What happen to customer service? Where did she go? She still there but people forget to understand that she is always there, you just forgot that being a person is, with your own thoughts and beliefs. You forgot the common rule. Don't bite or put down or even take a job for granted, you applied for the position, the door you came in you can turn around and walk out. Your making your life look like a dime a dozen. Sad to let this great gift of hearing Hello how are you today, great weather, wow is work going, or hello my name is employed how may I help you today, did you hear the great news! We got napkins and hot pepper packets and paper plates. Will you be needed some with your order? Bam... No we just get a driver that does not care or think that there are people out there that need paper plates, or even crushed peppers or cheese... COME ON PEOPLE HAVE TOU ATE OUT AT A PLACE THAT SEVERS FOOD.. Just think if they took your order and just handed you your food and walked away but thought they should receive a tip...
Here's your tip... Think out side the box...
Think like a customer? You are one.. Do you eat at all? Do you uses napkins? Or do you just wipe it on your pants..
And like like an Owner... Think what would I want if it was me! On the other end... Hello Armando here is your pizza, would you care for plates and napkins? Do you need cheese, or peppers? Thank you for your business... No this driver is doubled parked and horns are being honked, and his paper plates smell like the trunk of this car since that's his storage area... Wow..
Who cares right...
I placed my order and it being tracked and so what. This app is GOD can't live without it... Real people can see their jobs are being taking away... Wake up and thank people for wanting to call you and her a voice time to time...

Now who ever reads this, I can care less its the big guys in Dominoes that need great fees back.. Pay me this should wake someone up...

Armando Coffey

Domino's Pizza USA Evidently, the customer is always wrong

I’ve seen people say that if they could give zero stars, they would and I’ve always thought it to be cliche’ but I ordered a pizza tonight that literally never arrived... yet online said it was “delivered”. To add insult to top that off, when I called to talk to the manager of the store, I was told that the pizza was delivered but I wasn’t there to get it and the driver had both called and texted me but I didn’t answer. She then proceeded to tell me that her driver had talked to the owner of the home and that I didn’t live there. The problem with that (other than the fact that my phone never rang or received any texts) is that I was outside my home within view of the street all evening and no one at all... let alone a dominoes driver ever drove up to my street... which is at the top of a Cul De’ sac. I couldn’t have avoided seeing the driver. Yet still, I was told that she trusted her driver over me. What ever happened to the customer being right in the food service industry? I would think that during this Covid-19 crisis the food service industry would be trying to make sure their customers are taken care of... ESPECIALLY the pizza stores who are now in competition with every other food making restaurant in the industry... add DoorDash and GrubHub to the mix and I can’t believe that dominoes has customers to lose... but evidently they do. My problem isn’t so much with dominoes itself as it is with the location that serves Pleasant Grove, Utah. My last 3 orders were at a minimum of a half hour later than they were promised to be delivered by the online service and as I mentioned earlier, my order tonight never even arrived. I want to know how the online service is ran. Who says when it’s being prepared... when it’s being baked... when it’s in quality check and when it’s out to delivery. THEN I want to know who says it’s been delivered. Because I’ve watched my pizzas being made with the online app and sometimes it sits for half an hour in one of any of those positions. Who is running the show and who takes responsibility when a store is not just being poorly managed but is making the entire franchise look terrible? When did the customer become wrong? And when did it become okay to simply tell the customer that “we’re sorry to lose you as a customer”... before I’ve even told them that they’ve lost me? Does anyone care what’s going on within your individual franchises? And if so, how do I know that? Why should I remain a loyal customer to dominoes? Please, someone tell me why I should ever place an order with dominoes pizza ever again or spend another dollar when all I’m not just going to be disappointed and dissatisfied with t service but also talked down and treated so poorly when I call to find out what’s going on. It’s a very simple question. Does dominoes pizza actually value its customers, or does the entire corporation approach business in the same manner as the manager of the store that I just talked to? The saying “if I could give this zero stars, I would” is absolutely cliche... but if I could give this negative stars it would feel less cliché and much more appropriate.

Domino's Pizza USA Needs slight revisions, overall pretty great!

We used to order on the old landline phone to various pizza joints. They'd keep us on hold, circling the order hot line, until some tired employee would eventually remember there was a hungry customer on hold. Orders were often misheard, addresses confused. A big stress ball of ugh. Abandoned pizza delivery. Bought frozen premium pizza, instead. Surprisingly expensive & no coupons. It never tastes as good as when the pros do it. Not even in the same league. Tried ordering online from various places. Stress balls! The Pizza Hut app made me lose my appetite. I'd rage against the machine & curse the clueless nerd who made the overly complicated app. Dagnambit! Just let me quickly order some food so you can get it here & I can go on with my life! FINALLY, DOMINO'S hired a programmer who understood the KISS principle - Keep It Simple Stupid! We discovered it - it was LIKE at first sight! How EZ! We really enjoy the Delivery Time Line. When it reaches 5, it means our order is on the road. We turn off the surround sound, jump out of the tub, stop sumo wresting in the backyard, lock up the cat moochers, start putting ice in the glass while keeping an eye on the driveway. Often, we can meet the delivery person at HIS car door, allowing him a quick-time is money-drop off. We tip a minimum of $10, sometimes $20. Normally, the only frustration is the delivery guy will forget the marinara sauce or the bag of chips we ordered. This IS getting frustrating. The app NEEDS a place where a customer can make requests: PLEASE DON'T FORGET THE MARINARA SAUCE! The app is generally reliable - although it wigs out on my iPad sometimes saying, "Store closed." FALSE! Or, "Phone orders only. Store having online issues." FALSE! Our other iPads have no problem with the same exact order. Glitch appears when we edit an order or delete an item. Tweaking needed to chase down that occasional annoyance. Also, best to keep inventory at local franchise updated with app. We've received online order follow up phone calls from Domino's saying, "Outta Coke. What do you want?" We say, "Sprite, then." They say, "Outta Sprite." We say, "Dude, what DO you have? Water?" Seriously, it's only Friday. Lots of lost revenue because no beverages? Not too bright. Those colas are high profit items. FAIL! Wow- the Domino's guy just brought our Parmesan Bread Bites & they didn't butter, salt or Parmesan on them! Just sad little lumps of dough. Ugh! Stress balls! Parmesan Bread Bites without Parmesan or that other cholesterol clogging goop we ordered on the app! The app NEEDS the capability to REPORT problems with just received orders. Had to phone Domino's - time sucker - & I don't even have the beverage I want or the correctly made Parmesan Bread Bites to keep me company while I'm sentenced to phone purgatory. Repeat -- APP needs to have capability to quickly report major problems with order. Even the ability to send a photo of your Pepperoni pizza with the Pepperoni missing. Maybe frozen pizza IS the way to go, for me at least. LESS STRESS BALLS! However, I could use these delivered dough clumps for stress balls. Wish Mr Domino Pizza Man could see this PBB w/o the Parmesan. Almost comical...but hunger makes it less so. =:o

Hello, I am filing a complaint about a pizza I ordered for my kids and me. I ordered the pizza on Saturday, November 4, 2023. I ordered a Cheese Pizza for my kids. Also, I ordered a Pepperoni and beef pizza for myself. I did not check the pizza when I picked it up from the store pick-up window. When I got home... I fixed the pizza for my kids and me. I...

Domino's Pizza USA Why did you COMPLETELY REDO a good app that wasn’t broken?

Boy y’all just can’t leave well enough alone. I loved your OLD app (see below).

Your new version S#CKS!

1. Totally confusing, had to redo my order three times (including calling the atore manager TWICE) to get it correct.

2. Coupons are wrong. Advertised ANY Medium 3 Topping for 10.99, I ordered a medium pizza with three meats, nothing else. At checkout, your system insisted on charging me 12.99.

3. No place to add instruction, like please cook pizza well done or slice it in pie shapes. And mot squares.

4. Hard to find your chicken wings, they are in the “other” category, after the salad dressing (?)

5. No place to add TIP FOR DRIVE.

Note: this was my OLD review for the previous version of this app...

“This app makes ordering even easier / faster. Once you profile is set, you can enter a debit or credit card to keep on file. It allows you to check all available couples, and there are a lot of great deals. I’ve fallen in love with their 12” pan pizza crust, with the Extravagana (everything). Great stuff. If I’m driving home from work I cane easily place an order on the app about 15 minutes before I get home and their delivery guy gets there in only a few minute after. Great job Domino’s!”

Domino's Pizza USA No point of points if u can’t redeem them

I usually order from here for an occasion or a party and I noticed I’ve orders enough pizzas for a free one, well today I was hungry so I said why not and tried to order it. I proceed to click “redeem free pizza” an it lets me choose toppings on a medium pizza and after I finish that and go to check out it won’t let me pay before I verify my email (which is my iCloud) so I check my mail for the verification email and I don’t get it, I refresh the app an that didn’t work then I closed it and reopened it and still nothing so I go back in the dominos app and click “resend code” so after I clicked that I checked my inbox and no surprise there’s still no mail, I click the resend button again an the app just crashes an deletes everything from my cart, I’ve been through this tedious process three times I’ve even upgraded my storage plan on my phone Incase I didn’t have enough space to receive mail and after trying it again I didn’t receive the email and the app still crashed. It’s aggravating I tried to see if maybe the app needs an update but I have the newest version of the app and it still crashes and won’t let me order a free pizza! It’s just annoying and please fix this on iOS i don’t know if other people experience similar problems but I surely do.

Domino's Pizza USA About to order, errr

I love the pizza but there are a few features that I wish this App had. The ability to add notes to each item (like, no onions on the BBQ Pizza, etc). Some of the coupons say "expired" when I select them (like on the parm sandw coupon). Maybe this does this alreay (I haven't checked out yet), but it'd be great to have "saved" orders so I can re-order this same order in the future. I also want larger photos when I select an item. How can I see what it's going to look like when it's 16x16? I also want a full description of each item. I ordered the BBQ pizza thinking it was just chicken when it had onions on it... How was I to know? It needs a list of stuff you put on it in the description. Like, what's a cheeseburger bacon pizza? Does it have Mayo or tomato sauce? Also, better descriptions of what each crust type is with pictures to show it. What's the difference between new york and hand tossed (I don't live in NY to know)? An estimated tip calculator would be nice. Better descriptions for the Coupons and I'd like that organized better... by Large Pizzas, medium, side orders, sandwiches, etc. Right now they just seem randomly thrown on there. I want to go, "I wonder what 2 Large pizza deals they have" and then find that category. I'll give this app 5 stars when you fix these issues.

Domino's Pizza USA Last Time

Driver was very courteous. But he had no change. Said "they don't give us any change". Since the new app will not let me check out with a card, I had to select cash. And I don't keep exact change lying around. Heck, I thought it was fortunate that I had cash at all. In the 21st century, I expect to be able to pay with a card. In this case, I would have been forced to tip $15 on a $35 order.

But that wasn't he only problem. The online service continues to be inconsistent about passing along all of my order to the store. Sometimes, I get all of the sides I ordered, but usually not. And the drivers are always able to show me on a little slip of paper that my order did not include them, even though they're clearly visible in the app. But the last straw his time was when I was told I'd have to pay extra if he went back to get the missing sides. How do you justify the price I'm paying if those items aren't part of the price?

In summary, my local store has a very courteous staff. And except for the policy of not carrying any change, I think they do a good job. But the app won't accept my card, and my order is seldom right (obviously due to missing data between corporate and store). It's just completely unusable at this point. I sent this order back, mainly because he had no change. And I won't be ordering from Domino's anymore.

Domino's Pizza USA Not CONTACTLESS because of his first issue I have found using iPadOS version of Domino’s app

There’s no where to add tip at checkout when using iPadOS version when paying with card
Can it still be called “contactless” when you have to answer the door because they can’t just put whatever they want as tip and certainly wouldn’t just accept no tip. Who wouldn’t knock for that? But then they hand you your pizza. Tried calling the store to just go ahead and tell them but being on hold gets old (no pun intended) and so does having to explain every time “No, I’m not placing an order” and why there was no tip.
Obviously, I could just be seeing where to enter the tip but even then it should only be in one place at checkout.
Whichever scenario it may be, even though a small oversight, is still an issue that should be addressed.

Also, there’s no way to add special instructions without tricking the system with a work around.
The only way to get a well done pizza when ordering via the iPadOS version of the app is by first, using a non-iPadOS version of the app that does have special instructions to create an easy order where you had the option for well done selected and then, back on the iPadOS version, selecting your easy order.
After that, it’s there miraculously.
But only for that pizza.

Beautiful app, but serious flaws that shouldn’t be hard to fix or even take that long to do so.

Domino's Pizza USA Not sure if it is the app or the pizza company

It is always an adventure trying to place an order through the domino's pizza app. You can order the same exact pizza with the same exact toppings three or four different ways for three or four different prices which range by as much as $12. One thing that is for sure is that you are wasting your time to place an order using the xtra or "double" topping buttons because you will receive the same paltry 5 or6 tiny shaved slices of mushrooms (or any other veggie for that matter) irrespective of your entries and corresponding upcharges. I I continue to prefer the taste of a domino's pizza over the "hutt" but there is no question whatsoever that the hutt is infinitely more generous with the toppings you pay for.

If you have ever visited Disney's Epcot center and happened to ride the space mission themed ride you'll know that the "cars" in which you blast off are decorated with myriad buttons and levers that children (and adults with a good imagination) can push prod and flick during the ride. And not at all unlike the buttons and switches and levers which adorn this app, the pushing of these buttons does absolutely nothing besides giving you the illusion of customer choice and total control of your pizza's destiny. The only real function served by these buttons is to increase the cost of the same sparsely appointed, disappointment of a pizza

Domino's Pizza USA Terribly non insightful programmers

1-In part of the process is "Coupon" another part it's order. People read coupon they think discount.

2-Once you place an item and your device times out...order is gone.

3-Once pizza is ordered you cannot back out to get more.

4-I clicked 'pizza' to umm order a pizza and I am given

Build your own

Dominoes American Legends (name is so long it does not fit on one line).

Feast Pizza

Looking for artisan?

No, just want to be able to get a simple pizza.

Deserts... Tried clicking it 4-5 times. The annoying voice came on and it worked.

I tried using the 'voice', is English programmed in? He could not get it at all. Then I tried the typing and apparently it does not realize that 'Tom' is tomato.

It seems apps like these are made up real quick, (my pizza arrived just now-I spent 35 minutes trying to navigate thru this mess of an app, the programmers cannot be this stupid so it has to be something else) ready or not, then opened. I asked for a regional manager to call. At the store, they're so busy they say there name and no one understands it, it's like a marathon thru calls. My point is if I talk to a store manager he absolutely will not have time to "manage" the corporates want them working like a dog to and figure the store is on auto pilot. Whether this posts will tell me about the leadership ability and competence and confidence. Good night.

Domino's Pizza USA 'No cheese' options

10/10. Just did an update on the app— STILL i can't order a pizza with no cheese on half—my husband is vegan, I'm not.
It's prettier, but it ends there. You still can't see what's in your cart while ordering, either. Wish i could include the screenshot. It,s ridiculous. Your cheese options for each half when customizing, are: “Light—Regular—Extra—Double”. Extra AND double, but no “none”. So, once again, and it's been a long time, i place my order online, because it's the only way I can get rewards and deals, but THEN, I have to hurry and call the store to customize to “no cheese on half” to which they say, “NO cheese on half?” At least twice, like it's absurd. I don't need this hassle in my life. Back to the competitors. SMH

I'm so done! I used to be able to order a pizza with 'no cheese' on half to share with my vegan husband. Not anymore. Great update, peeps.

I was already bad enough that we couldn't order a Pacific veggie with NO CHEESE OF ANY KIND on his vegan half, but feta and provolone—a real pacific veggie for my half. I WANT to order online, because ordering on the phone is an even worse experience.

Until i can order a pizza that is EXACTLY WHAT I WANT ON EACH HALF, i'm heading back to Pizza hut. Let me know when your technology dept catches up with the rest of the world. I'm an old lady, but could do a better job writing this beginner app.

See Ya!

Domino's Pizza USA Good but not perfect

The Dominos app is clearly the best pizza ordering app out there, but it's still not perfect. Here are some things I would like to see added/changed to the app.

- Apple Pay Support
I want to be able to pay using Apple Pay.

- Touch ID support.
Constantly entering my password gets to be dealing annoying when I want to access my Pizza Profile. Add Touch ID support and that problem goes away. Also adding Touch ID could add some security to the app so my friends or family can't order a pizza without my knowledge.

- Tipping
I want to be able to add the tip to my order before it's processed. It's really annoying filling out paperwork at my door just to tip the delivery boy a few bucks. Add tipping to the ordering process.

- "While I'm using the app" Location
I find it very annoying and shady when apps want full access to my location even when I'm not using the app. Not to mention the battery drain it causes. Currently I have location access to "Never". It's staying that way until you add the "While I'm using the app." option.

- Deal Spamming
I wish either Dominos would slow down on the deal notifications or allow me to turn off deal notifications. I currently have notifications turned off bc I don't like being spammed to death with currents deals. It's means I don't get Pizza Tracker notifications, but it's a small price to pay.

Address every item on my list and I'll give a 5 star rating. Until then, the rating stays at 2 stars.

Domino's Pizza USA Needs serious improvement

I don’t know who these large corporations pay to develop their apps, but Domino’s’ app is a particularly egregious case of a company that is big enough they should have a killer app, yet the UX feels like it should be served up on Netscape. A bill of particulars:
- No location sensing
- poor login control—I have had to login to the app on my own phone nearly every time I’ve tried to order a pizza.
- Corollary, no Touch ID support
- it crashes, like, a lot
- once you place the order, it displays the store number and address, but not their phone number.
- Doordash will tell you where precisely your food is. Domino’s gives you a “Pizza Tracker” that, near as I can tell, competes with Star Wars, The Holy Bible, and a Trump tally for greatest concentration of outright lies to be found in any supposedly plausible document. It is never telling you the truth. It doesn’t know the truth. It is as credible as the file-transfer status bar on Windows 3.1. It tells you only what it thinks you want to hear, sweating with the desperation of a lover who knows he’s getting dumped outside while his parents are inside, waiting excitedly to finally meet this girl who has finally ended their incel son’s long, dark life of isolation and despair. It lies, and it begs, and it simpers, and it will never do aught. Burn it. Burn the whole app to the ground and start over. You have put into the world an interface that makes me hate that I want your pizza.
- The up-selling is stupid. Stop it.

Domino's Pizza USA Updated not so happy anymore

I left my original review from when this app first came out. Now they’ve “updated” it a couple of times. There was a point in time I completely STOPPED ordering from dominos on pizza I order on the any 2 for $5.99ea and it was like $11+. It was two toppings pan/deep dish pizza I could under stand it being 50¢ to $1 more for the crust but that’s crazy! Now they fixed that but here’s a helpful suggestion so you Customers can order in a more informed way. I understand some toppings cost more so way don’t you put a “*” or something next to the ones that cost more so if someone want to order just the $5.99 they can with out completing their order and having to go back a guess which ones don’t cost more.

Love Love Love this app! It's easy quick and a super simple layout please don't change anything about the app! My only bad thing is the way your Fairfield Ca store uses the system. I bugs me that I get notified that the driver has left the store with my order 20min later I'm notified that my order has been delivered... sounds great but 20 mins late I don't have my pizzas! They notified that my pizzas has left the store and an hour later I actually get my pizzas! I work retail I get the pressure that corporate will send down to push out order faster It didn't bother me so much that I had to wait and hour for my pizzas, it was that I was notified that my pizzas were at my house when they weren't and when the did get here they weren't hot they were warm. But other than that I love the app!

Domino's Pizza USA Blatantly States That They Sell Your Personal Info

If you click the sidebar, there is an option near the broom that says, “Do not sell my info” that blatantly states that your personal info is sold to third part vendors. Unless you know to opt out you get bombarded with spam emails from people Dominos sells your email to.
I downloaded this app at work one day months ago to place an order and I had been discussing job searching with my coworker and that evening I noticed I suddenly had numerous emails regarding job sites. I’ve had my email account for years and never had one spam email that I can remember and I was really creeped out that I had all these job site related emails when I hadn’t signed up for anything and had just spoken to my coworker about it. Here it is months later and I discovered the section in the drop-down menu about Domino’s selling my info and now I know why I’ve been spammed so hard. I must have searched something on Google that day that made them think all the spam emails were relevant to me. Over time, the stuff I was being spammed with wasn’t even something they could possibly think is relevant to me. From auto insurance to taking out a loan, I’ve been spammed constantly with irrelevant and inappropriate spam from these “3rd party vendors” Dominos sold my info to.

I opted out yesterday (and will be deleting the app) and it said it can take up to three days to notify the third party vendors to take me off their lists. I’m sure it will be weeks before al the spam emails stop if they even do.

Creepy, inappropriate and unprofessional in my opinion.

Domino's Pizza USA App keeps crashing & then have to start over

I went on app to order then it said I had to load the update, which I did. Then went a 2nd time to order. Got my order in there but it had old credit card so I tried to delete the old card (which didn’t work). Then tried adding the new one which kicked me out /crashed on me. I gave up & tried calling my location & a guy said “we’re not taking any new orders for 1 1/2 hours.” So said okay & hung up. Waited 10 mins. and hit the app to put an order in for the next closest location. Put in the order again. Then went to put in new credit card AGAIN. Got it all done filling every required spot and it took it, or so it made me think. Then it stated asking for the cvv 3 digit code on the order screen. So I entered it again, but when keyboard came up, there was no enter/return key so I hit COMPLETE ORDER. Then it took me back to the cvv code again which I entered again, but yet again pop up keyboard had no way to hit return. So hit COMPLETE ORDER again. Now it said my phone number didn’t have enough digits in it, but it looked fine, but entered it again anyways. Then up came the “we need your cvv” so tied a third time but again no way to hit return on pop up keyboard, so hit COMPLETE ORDER yet again and went back to cvv. So I thought maybe the expired card may be tripping it up, so entered on it and hit delete. It wouldn’t delete it. So tried to delete it again and then it crashed/ kicked me out a 2nd time. Waited a few minutes, went back in to app and it hadn’t saved a thing yet again. Well wasn’t going to enter it all over again a third time. So good riddance Dominos App - totally useless.

Domino's Pizza USA More employees and better pay!

I have had countless occasions in which they have not been able to deliver any pizza at all(at least three times) and two other times that they have cancelled my order without even notifying me, leaving me waiting for someone who is not coming after all. This is easily the worst location I have ever dealt with on any level. I do not blame this on the employees actually there at the time, rather I think management and corporate need to rethink they’re hiring tactics, employee wages, and overall effort to reduce employee turnover and lack of quality service. It seems the employees who are constantly working their butts off are left with no cushion nor support to make this store better and more efficient overall. With a few small tweaks to things like pay, hiring, and management, i think this store could be successful, but as it is now, they simply can not accomplish anything whatsoever it seems. I’m sorry to those of you who are diligent employees, and only get horrible treatment and support in return. This failure falls on management and corporate; get more and competent employees to actually WANT to work for a company, then treat them in such a way that encourages productivity and efficiency of their own accord. It’s really not hard, just treat your employees better, and learn to run a pizza delivery service. It’s honestly not as hard as corporate and management arenas have been making it. Best of luck to the employees that continue to keep this store barely on its feet, and I can only hope that those with the power to do so, will care enough to bring much needed change to a failing and totally unproductive location/store.

Domino's Pizza USA Delivery charge

$3.99. I feel it is unreasonable to assume that the convenience of delivery surmounts the absurdity of your delivery charge. Your pizza company has done a remarkable job of turning your public and, fingers crossed, internal operations around. Your commercials advertised acceptance and accountability of your previous failures. Some being overall taste of pizza, convenient app, and delivery service. Yes, your pizzas are much more enjoyable in terms of taste. And yes, your app is user friendly. I also agree that the rewards points have come in handy during some weeks. However, it’s isn’t the healthiest option on the market. Continuing to increase your delivery charge only pushes consumers like myself away. I am a fairly healthy eater and I prepare healthy dishes on a for my growing family. But on the nights where life is energetic and unscheduled; children are sick, laundry needs to be folders, emails for work need to be answered and so on, dominos is a nice option. For that occasional night or nights of a break, it’s nice. Unfortunately, comparing the price next to the health is now too large to discount. Furthermore, your request to give the drivers a tip on top of the delivery is exuberant. In the previous statement located on the app, while checking out, you claim that the drivers will not get any of the delivery charge money. Where does it go? I am hoping that it goes into a section of the corporate offices dedicated to creating affordable and healthier options. Let’s be honest. There are enough think tanks in the world to dream up of delicious, and mindfully healthy pizzas? Couldn’t that be your new marketing strategy.

Thank you for your time,
CA Customer and Family

Domino's Pizza USA Why make it hard to order?

Submitted an order, with payment - ONLY THEN did the app tell me that the store requires a higher minimum (mine was $19.40ish; min was $19.98).

Did they have that info in their database before I submitted? Yes.

Did the code kiddies - sorry, “software engineers” - bother to check their own database to let me know before I hit submit? No.

Did the app, using the latest version of the app on the latest iOS on an iPhone 11, allow me to go back and add a drink to my order? No - it just gave me an endless spinner. I had to hard shut down & fully restart the app and redo the entire order - even when it was getting close to the closing time for the store.

Did the “software engineers” care that their colleagues were going to have more work put on them later at night, when they’re already tired, because they haven’t properly coded this stuff? Of course not; why should they care about the frontline people who make it possible for the “software engineers” to be paid?

Did they care that the customer was getting hungrier because they haven’t added app functionality for what should, in 2022, be basic functionality for any such app, and then failed at properly testing their app? Hah! No, no they didn’t care. Not at all.

Sure, the “pizza tracker” (which doesn’t actually track the pizza) is pretty — but the best part about Domino’s is the workforce that actually makes the pizza.

All the apps let me order whatever food I’m trying to order; the *goodones do it by giving actionable info at the time I need it (not well after) and don’t require me to restart the app because they failed to do proper testing. Hence, since this app didn’t meet the very low baseline standard of “not significantly worse than average” - yeah, you deeply deserve one star.
