They were very professional, knowledgable, and diligent in getting our roof done. We are really proud of their work! I highly recommend.
I had a great experience with Done Rite Roofing Inc
I had a great experience with Done Rite Roofing Inc. Chris was friendly and honest, all for a fair price. They started and finished the job on time. They did a good job and were very professional, careful with our home, and always communicated well with us.
I wanna talk 'bout somethin' that happened a few years back durin' the dry season when I got my flat roof replaced by Done-Rite
I wanna talk 'bout somethin' that happened a few years back durin' the dry season when I got my flat roof replaced by Done-Rite. It didn't start leakin' 'til the rainy season, and they came out to fix it, but we wouldn't know if it worked 'til the next rain. Well, this happened 3 times.
Now, I gotta get my big roof replaced, and a new roofin' company showed me pictures where they used inadequate supplies and just patched over the problem area. I'm really let down and won't be hirin' Done-Rite again.
I was super happy with my Done Rite experience
I was super happy with my Done Rite experience. Everyone I dealt with at the company were real pros and knew their stuff. Even though a crazy hurricane hit my crib in the middle of November right after they ripped off my old roof, everything went smooth. They covered it up with some fancy underlayment and it rained cats and dogs for two whole days, but no damage at all. When the sun finally came out, they came back and slapped on the new shingle roof, fixed up my flat roof, and put on the flat roof stuff. They even did an awesome job cleaning up all the junk from my yard. They knocked out a big ol' roof on my 3200 sf house in just two days, right in the middle of a gnarly storm. These guys are the real deal.

In December, I had Done Rite Roofing, Inc
In December, I had Done Rite Roofing, Inc. replace parts of my flat roof that had a leak. They replaced some of it but never finished the job. Now they're being rude. On December 13, Done Rite agreed to fix a leak in my bonus room. Since the roof is flat, it needed a slight slope and some rotted wood replaced. The taper system and small flat with pitch cost an extra $1,200. The original work was $4,400. Pete XXX-XXX-XXXX gave me the quote and agreed that in July, when I noticed the roof wasn't fixed according to the agreement, he came out to verify that I was correct. When I called to get this fixed, they were rude and didn't treat me like a priority, even though I paid them in full back in December with a Wells Fargo card. They told me that by June 19th, the work would be corrected. However, they called on June 19th to push back the date, again. When I expressed my frustration, they acted like I was a bother and that they were working on the issue and that their mistake wasn't that bad. They said they "ordered the parts" and will come out to fix it when they can. I'm surprised the parts weren't already there since December. Why weren't they there? Did they not notice they had extra materials? It's June now, and this was supposed to be completed in December, but their work isn't "Done Right".
Done Rite was called for a roof leak in September when two areas were found to have leaks
Done Rite was called for a roof leak in September when two areas were found to have leaks. The same areas had heavy leaking in June . In September Done Rite was called to repair a roof leak into the garage. On inspection by Greg and by D.J., an area of attic water below the gable was also found. Done Rite was contracted to repair both areas of leaks, although they claimed that the gable area only needed to be repaired. Two pre-work payments were made to them on 9/5 of $437, and on 9/24 of $138, for a total job down payment of $575. On June 12, the very same areas experienced heavy leaking. Inspection by a new roofer in June confirmed leaking, water damage and roof damage resulting by the incomplete work in September . Furthermore, Done Rite representative, Sarah O. attempted to collect the balance of the total of two estimates, which I refused to do. She threatened that she would send this to "collections". On 9/23, I called their office and spoke with Colleen to stipulate that both areas identified by two estimates were to be included in the total amount billed to me. Both the estimator, the workman, and the office staff were extremely unprofessional in their service, demeanor and intent. I was told that the owners were out of town when I requested that they call me regarding this matter.
I emailed Done Right Roofing, but the owner didn't call me back
I emailed Done Right Roofing, but the owner didn't call me back. So, I called again and spoke with her. She said she had two licenses with Clearwater and her husband had three licenses for fixing roofs. She also mentioned how long they had been in business. She said they had a contract with me to fix my roof and I owed them $425. She offered to give me $50 back, but I declined. I don't think doing what the salesman said would have fixed the noise issue. Putting silicone around the top of the flashing around the chimney wouldn't have solved it. If the salesman had told me that, I wouldn't have agreed to it, even for $100. Done Rite Roof shouldn't let their salesperson make up work and charge for it. Sincerely, *** XXXXX XXX-XXX-XXXX
Dear Madam, I contacted Done Rite Roofing Inc. and Mr. Greg R., your sales agent, came to my house at *** on Nov. 24, 2020. I called your company because I heard a loud crashing noise during a storm a few days earlier. I showed him where water had come in our ceiling and explained the noises we heard. It sounded like a large tin structure falling from the roof. He inspected the chimney and the flashing around it. He said the flashing, including extended flashing (which I'm not familiar with), needed to be replaced. He also mentioned that the metal coverings on the sides of the chimney were rusted and needed fixing. I didn't understand how these things could cause the noise, but I trusted his judgment. I asked him for a price, and I thought it was reasonable for the work he described. It seemed like it would take two men 3 to 6 hours. The repair was scheduled for Dec. 3rd at 1 pm.
Around 1 pm, a man arrived and said he was here to fix the roof. I assumed there were other workers with him, but I didn't see anyone else. I asked him how long it would take, and he said about an hour. I told him to proceed and went back inside to finish my work, which took me around 10 to 15 minutes. When I went back outside to check on them, no one was there, and there was no vehicle. I wondered what happened and thought they might have forgotten something and would return soon. My wife and I had lunch, and after we finished, I went outside again to see if they had come back. Still, no one was there. I called Done Rite Roofing and spoke with a woman named Collean. I asked her why their roof repair men left. She said the repair was already done. I told her that was impossible because the worker was only at my house for 10 to 15 minutes. She said all that needed to be done was to run a bead of silicone around the flashing, and it only took him that long. When I tried to explain what I was told, she interrupted me and said I agreed to the price for them to fix the roof, they fixed it, and I owed $425, which was their minimum charge. When I tried to explain what work I was told needed to be done, she interrupted me again and went on a rant. She said I didn't understand anything about running a company and listed various overhead expenses they had to cover. I told her it was a scam and asked to speak with the owner, but she said the owner wasn't there. I asked her to pass along my message, but the owner never called.
Now, let me tell you a bit about my background. I have a bachelor's degree in math and 25 quarter hours in Physics from Mercer University. I also have an engineering degree in Industrial Engineering from Ga Tech and an MBA from the University of North Carolina. I taught High School Science for a year and then taught Physics at Southern Tech while studying at Ga Tech. I have consulted for many businesses and started my own company in 1959, which I still run. At one point, it had over 600 employees. I have experience running several companies, including a construction company. At best, Done Rite Roofing didn't fulfill their promises, so I want a refund of the $425 I paid. At worst, it was a "bait and switch" scheme, and it should be exposed and shut down. Sincerely
