Scam artist at Eastern Shore Toyota Daphne Al
44 minutes ago
BUYER BEWARE! DO NOT GO HERE! They are scam artists. We bought a truck about a month ago and have paid it off. They called my husband this week and said that we owed an additional $2,000 and told my husband that if he did not pay that they would report us to a collection agency and that we would hear from their lawyers. THEY EVEN TOLD HIM THAT HE DID NOT HAVE A CONSCIENCE! Who does this? Very unprofessional and rude. We have reported them to corporate and have a case number and have asked for a full refund and will return the truck. Again, DO NOT GO HERE! I am done with Toyota.

I reckon Eastern Shore Toyota ain't no good at all!
I reckon Eastern Shore Toyota ain't no good at all! They done used lies and scare tactics to try and scare folks! They even threatened to yank my son outta his truck with a gun! All 'cause of a mistake THEY made! Don't go believin' these folks! They're downright wicked!
Sheila D*** S***h and me want our $***0 deposit back, even though your "company policies" say no refunds!
Sheila D Sh and me want our $***0 deposit back, even though your "company policies" say no refunds! That ain't right. Zach Bell, the big boss, better give us our $***0 by 5PM today. If you think Eastern Shore Toyota can just keep our money, you're in for a surprise. If you gotta strong-arm folks into dealing with you, Eastern Shore Toyota won't survive.
Eastern Shore Toyota is a place you gotta watch out for, let me tell ya
Eastern Shore Toyota is a place you gotta watch out for, let me tell ya. They got some sneaky business goin' on. First off, they make you use their financing, which ends up bein' more expensive than they let on with their fancy 2.9% interest rate. And that ain't all, they try to push these warranties on ya that you don't even need. Can't trust 'em, I tell ya.
But it gets worse. They go and run your credit multiple times under different names, and you don't even find out 'til later when the credit people give ya a heads up. I've been tryin' to get in touch with 'em, left voicemails, messages, emails, but no one's botherin' to respond. I reckon the manager will just give the same ol' runaround when the ComplaintsBoard.com gets involved, tellin' ya to contact him directly. Well, I tried emailin' him too, and nothin'. Can't say I'm surprised, though. This whole experience has been like nothin' I've ever seen at a car dealership.
Watch out for these guys named Mike and Joe, they're real slick. When I asked to cancel them useless warranties, Mike had the nerve to say, "Why bother? It ain't gonna change your payment." Who talks like that unless they're tryin' to pull a fast one? They just ignore ya, plain and simple. And like others have said, the managers don't even care if their employees are doin' shady stuff like runnin' your credit multiple times. Now I got more inquiries on my credit report than I bargained for. Had to jump through hoops to cancel them warranties, what a hassle.
I ain't keepin' quiet about this, no sir. I'm warnin' everyone I meet about Eastern Shore Toyota. They ain't to be trusted, that's for sure.

I checked out Eastern Shore Toyota's website and I gotta say, it's pretty good
I checked out Eastern Shore Toyota's website and I gotta say, it's pretty good. They got all the info you need about buying a car and trading in your old one. One thing to keep in mind is that they mentioned something about a note being paid when you trade in your car. So, make sure you read that part carefully. Overall, it seems like a decent place to check out if you're in the market for a new ride.
I gave a deposit to check out a car I might buy, but turns out the car got messed up during shipping
I gave a deposit to check out a car I might buy, but turns out the car got messed up during shipping. Eastern Shore won't give me my money back, saying they never refund deposits.
I bought a 2022 Cadillac Escalade from Eastern Shore Toyota on 3/15/22
I bought a 2022 Cadillac Escalade from Eastern Shore Toyota on 3/15/22. So far, I still haven't gotten the title or registration. I got a ticket for driving without registration. Now I can't even drive it and I can't reach anyone to fix the issue. They've been saying they're working on it since April, but for the past month, no one has been returning my calls or emails.

I bought a Lexus a year ago from Eastern Shore Toyota
I bought a Lexus a year ago from Eastern Shore Toyota. They said I'd get two keys, and it was written in my you owe too. I've tried to get in touch with someone for my second key, but no one wants to help me. I've tried contacting the GM multiple times, but they always say he's in a conference call or meeting. I set aside time last year to reach the "person" in charge of the second key, but I've just been given the run around. I've tried reaching out to my sales associate and through chat, but no one seems to care.
I got a deal on May 4th and got the keys to drive off the lot
I got a deal on May 4th and got the keys to drive off the lot. Eastern Shore ain't happy with the deal the salesperson made and wants me to bring back the truck for another deal. They won't send the signed deal to the bank or pay off my trade-in. They've been lying to me and making threats. Today, *** told me that if I don't return the truck, he'll report it stolen and forcefully take it back. It's unfortunate that the threats have gotten to this point. I can't register the vehicle or start making payments because they won't send me the stuff I need to sign. It's hard to fix this when people lie and make these kinds of threats. It's also messing up my credit score. The ComplaintsBoard.com and potential customers should know how this business operates. Thanks.
I bought my brand new Toyota Corolla 2022 on May 20, 2022
I bought my brand new Toyota Corolla 2022 on May 20, 2022. The salesmen didn't explain anything about the car after I finished buying it. When I got home, I noticed a scratch on the hood. I tried calling, but couldn't reach anyone. A week later, I realized that the WiFi wasn't working. I called *** and they said the VIN wasn't registered in my name, so the dealership had to fix it. I made several calls from May 27th to July 6th, but no one returned my calls until I posted something on Facebook. Finally, I received a call. I took the car in on July 15th and they said they would fix the scratch on the hood. However, they had no idea how to fix the WiFi and refused to fix the scratch. On my way home, I stopped by another Toyota dealership and they fixed the WiFi issue. It worked for about an hour and then stopped. I called *** and they said it's a problem with the car. Well, Eastern Shore Toyota doesn't know how to fix it!
Me and my hubby bought a 2018 Toyota Tundra from Eastern Shore Toyota on 2/20
Me and my hubby bought a 2018 Toyota Tundra from Eastern Shore Toyota on 2/20. When we took it for a test drive, we noticed that the tire light was on and there was a message on the dashboard about some problem with the tire pressure monitoring system. The guy selling the car told us not to worry, they would fix it. While we were negotiating the purchase, the salesman filled out a paper called "We Owe" for the vehicle. But when we went to the financing department, the finance guy tried to make us sign a different "We Owe" that said they didn't owe us anything. We told him that we had an agreement, so he wrote "Tire Light" on the new paper and my hubby added "showing malfunction". We signed it and finished the deal.
A few weeks later, we called to schedule the service for the tire light since we hadn't heard anything from them. The lady in the service department, Brittany, said she didn't have any record of a "We Owe". We tried to reach her again by leaving several voicemails, but she hasn't gotten back to us. We even contacted the salesperson and sent them a copy of our document, but still no luck with Brittany.
Eastern Shore Toyota didn't give me the product I wanted for the price that I paid
Eastern Shore Toyota didn't give me the product I wanted for the price that I paid. They didn't tint the car the way I wanted. I contacted Eastern Shore to get my windows tinted. They told me I had an appointment at 7 a.m. and it should take 2 hours. But no appointment was ever made. They never asked how dark I wanted the tint. They didn't even take my name. On the receipt, it says "Unknown." They didn't remove the rear window brake light to fully tint the rear window. Instead, they put the tint around the brake light and it looks tacky. There are smear marks and bubbles in the tint from the first day. Eastern Shore treated me like a second-class customer. They didn't show me the car after to hear my concerns. They just gave me a receipt and sent me on my way. I'm not sure if the tint has a warranty. Eastern Shore has responded with a request to make it right. I've tried to contact them several times, but they gave me a fake email address for the GM. I've also left messages with the employees and voicemail, but nobody has responded.
I bought a 2022 4Runner from Eastern Shore Toyota in early February
I bought a 2022 4Runner from Eastern Shore Toyota in early February. I traded in my 2019 X2 BMW with 15K miles on it. The sales rep, who goes by the name of ***, brought the car to my house in *** on his day off. He and his girlfriend wanted to come here. However, *** didn't have the right tools to remove my tag from the BMW, so he promised to deliver it to me in the next couple of days. I had a temporary tag that expired on February 14th. Unfortunately, I still haven't received my tag as of today, March 19, 2022.
I made a trip to Daphne to try and find my tag, but no one could locate it. After the receptionist spoke to ***, he claimed that he had it in his personal car because it was his day off. They assured me that it would be mailed to me the following day. However, I have been deceived by ***, as well as two different managers named *** and ***. I have left numerous messages, but they never return my calls. When I call back, they keep telling me that they are trying to find my tag. This whole situation has left me feeling very discouraged, and it has been the worst experience I've ever had. I want to warn others that their promises mean nothing.
On January 13, 2022, I bought a car from Eastern Shore Toyota
On January 13, 2022, I bought a car from Eastern Shore Toyota. I'm really happy with my car, but the staff and management here are terrible. They treated me badly, which I hope they don't do to every customer (I have message screenshots and recorded phone calls). The reason I'm upset is because *** in the finance office told me he would include a service contract. He had me sign on the iPad to accept it, but now it's been two weeks and my car needs service. I called Eastern Shore, but they don't remember anything. I tried talking to the General Manager, but he's been in a meeting for three weeks now. I asked for *** and he said he would call back, but he never did. He only called to say they haven't been paid for the car and I need to call the finance company. When I refused because it's not my job, he hung up on me. After all of this, I just want to know what he made me sign if it wasn't the service contract. I asked for a copy, but he said they don't give them out because it's all electronic. After everything, I just want them to keep their word. And this is coming from someone who is also a General Manager, so you should definitely listen to your customers instead of avoiding them. I paid for service that I was promised out of my own pocket.
I been gettin' them email notifications from Toyota sayin' my Loyalty Rewards was 'bout to expire (see attachment)
I been gettin' them email notifications from Toyota sayin' my Loyalty Rewards was 'bout to expire (see attachment). I remembered Eastern Shore Toyota tellin' me to get a transmission fluid change durin' my last service and they quoted me $199.99 for it, but I said no (see attachment). So, I went over to Eastern Shore Toyota and asked if I could use my Loyalty Rewards for this service. They said I could. I dropped off my car on Dec 4, 2022 usin' Easter Shore's drop-off service. On the drop-off envelope, I specifically asked 'em to apply my Loyalty Awards for the service. I gave 'em my home address, cellphone number, and email in case they needed to reach me. I got a text late on Dec 5 sayin' the service was done. When I went to pick up my car on Dec 6, Eastern Shore told me I had to pay $262 for the service. I asked 'em 'bout the Loyalty Rewards, and they said I needed to bring in a mailed voucher (I ain't got no mail from Toyota, not even for the *** Campaign, which seemed like a safety thing, let alone Loyalty mailings; I thought the email was the voucher). Eastern Shore agreed to lower the charge to $232, but I told 'em that was still more than the $199 they quoted me before. Eastern Shore said the quote didn't include materials or labor (then what's the point of a quote?).
Car took almost a month to get financed and process the trade
Car took almost a month to get financed and process the trade. Still no tag. No 120 days until first payment. Car still not registered as purchased. I've traded four cars with Toyota before. This time was the worst and most dishonest transaction. We were there for almost 8 hours. The monthly payments changed three times and we never received the 120 days payment date; they only gave us 45 days until the first payment. The car ended up being registered under my mother's name, who was supposed to be the co-signer. The remote connect feature worked fine before we left the lot. However, it stopped working after a while, about two weeks later. While I tried to figure that out, I discovered that the car was not funded. There was some issue with the paperwork. So my trade-in was not paid off yet. Toyota then informed me that I am responsible and will be charged late fees. I called Eastern Shore and they said they would take care of everything. It's been almost a month now and the car still isn't registered. I still don't have a tag. I'm afraid of getting pulled over because the car doesn't show as purchased. I don't have a working account number either. The remote connect feature can't work until the car is fully registered. On top of all that, the payment will be due soon and they will expect me to pay on time, even though this whole situation has been a stressful mess. Account number: XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX Sales Rep: *** made a lot of promises that we didn't receive, such as the payment amount and due date. Finance manager: *** assured me it would be a smooth process, but there was missing information that I submitted that somehow got lost. This caused a delay in the car getting funded. They told me to take the car to Toyota in Pensacola to see if the remote connect can be fixed, but the account number doesn't even work yet. It's needed for the connect. I understand that COVID-19 has caused banks to be short-staffed, but this was an issue within the dealership. The only reason I found out the car was not funded is because my account showed it as past due and I questioned it.
I made a deal with Chris T, Tim, (Joel B, Chris W
I made a deal with Chris T, Tim, (Joel B, Chris W.) at Eastern Shore Toyota on Sep 1 for a Tacoma. They said the vehicle would arrive that day or the next, but it actually came on Oct 3, which is wrong. It's really hard to write this complaint because there are so many issues with their customer service and business practices. I signed an agreement to buy a 2020 Tacoma on Sep 1 and left my trade vehicle at the dealership. They gave me a loaner, even though I still had my title and hadn't signed the "official" contract. But I did pay a $500 deposit for the new vehicle. The salespeople told me the vehicle was on a truck and would arrive that day or the next. Three days later, I had to contact them to ask about it because they didn't reach out to me. They said the vehicle was still on the truck and should arrive within the week. A week later, I contacted them again because they didn't contact me, and they said it was still on the truck and should arrive any day. Four days later, I contacted them again because they didn't contact me, and they said the vehicle was damaged. They said they would substitute it with another vehicle that was in port in FL and would arrive within 10 days. The replacement vehicle had extra features that they wouldn't charge me for because of their poor delivery performance. On October 3rd, they contacted me and said the vehicle had arrived. I went to the dealership to buy and pick up the vehicle, but it turned out to be the original truck that had been damaged. They said it was just a scratch on the hood and they fixed it, but there's no way to prove what happened. The salesperson said they would give me a discount because of the promised upgrades on the replacement vehicle, but it wasn't worth as much as the upgrades. I was really frustrated with everything and thought about canceling the deal, but then I found out they had sold and delivered my trade vehicle. I still had the title, so I'm not sure if that's legal. I didn't want to start over and look for another vehicle or deal with them to get my trade vehicle back, so I decided to continue with their process. In the original negotiations, we agreed on adding rims, running boards, and all-weather floor mats, which had to be ordered and installed once the vehicle arrived. The salesperson told me everything would be ready and installed on Saturday, Oct 4, or at the latest, Monday, Oct 6. On Oct 4, I contacted them to ask about the status, and they said the rims were mistakenly shipped to another dealer across town, so the vehicle wouldn't be ready until Tuesday, Oct 7. I'm writing this on Oct 5, and I still don't have any assurance that the vehicle will be ready on the 7th based on their past performance. Throughout this whole process, they gave me a loaner vehicle, but I had to change it three times because they sold the loaner they gave me. This just added to my inconvenience and frustration, and they never acknowledged it. Every time they contacted me to replace the loaner, they didn't have any new information about my vehicle.
I writ this email after numerous attempts at calling the dealership and having someone tell me they will call me right back, and the last time I
I writ this email after numerous attempts at calling the dealership and having someone tell me they will call me right back, and the last time I spoke with ***, the assistant manager was Friday at 4:48pm and he was supposed to going straight to accounting and then call me back. Needless to say, it is now Monday 9:14 am and I haven't heard back. Background for this email: My son and I went in to Eastern Shore Toyota (EST) last Wed. Nov. 16th. We had just left the *** dealership where we could have driven off with a nice CRV at the price I wanted, but to be fair to my son, he wanted to test drive a RAV4. *** was the salesperson and the car that we had talked about on the phone and on the internet sales site were no longer available. According to *** there were no RAV4s on the lot at all for sale. After we had driven from ***, . *** proceeds to tell *** if we go ahead and do the paperwork he can have my son in an RAV4 XLE first thing Thursday morning. One was on a truck in route and it would be his. We go and do the paperwork with ***. I had already gone on line and did the pre-approval before we got there and had a cashier's check for $7k in hand. First, I'm told my interest rate couldn't get any lower than ***%. Then after sitting in *** office for over an hour while he sits there entering data on the computer after I had already marked I did not want all the extra insurances, warranties, etc. He says, "for $50 more a month, I can get you bumper to bumper for the life time of the car new tires, oil changes, anything that happens to this car we can fix and it will not cost you one cent." At this point, I'm tired, it's cold, it's raining, my head hurts, no vending machines so I can get a coke or a coffee. I say sure. We sign the paperwork. I didn't have a good feeling when we left the dealership. They kept saying how busy they were but there was a glass room with several men just sitting around talking to one another and not with customers. Thursday I get a survey and I fill it out. *** our salesman calls me and he is not happy about my survey, says his boss called me and told him to call me. *** then proceeds to tell me and I quote, "I'm having to call you on my day off becuase of what you wrote". Furthermore, the car he promised would be there in the morning was not. *** called me in the afternoon after lunch. You can imagine how I'm feeling at this point, I say a few things I probably should not have said and I hang up on ***. I call back asking for a manager. No one returns my call. I call back on Friday, numerous times and finally get an assistant manager ***. I tell him that I have talked to a family attorney and since we have not been given keys and I have not driven off the lot and do not physically have the car, I can cancel the sale and that is what I convey to ***. I asked him how I can get my cashier's check back. He said he was busy and just gotten back from lunch but would call me directly back. (This was approximately 2:11pm CT). 4:11pm he hasn't called me back. I've written emails, chatted on line called the main number furious and he finally calls me back. He said he would cancel the sale and would find out how I could get my money back, my $7,000 I paid with a cashier's check. He said they would have to wait for the check to clear the bank, and I said, what is there to clear, you can't get a cashier's check unless the money is in the account. Regardless, he said at 4:48pm Friday, Nov. 18th he would walk up to accounting and find out what was going on and call me back. ***, it is now Monday, Nov. 21 9:27 a.m CT and I have not heard one word from anyone at your dealership. You advertise customer service, which at this point with my experience with EST, is fraudulent advertising, never in my life of 57 years have I encountered such disregard for a customer and all the lies. I could continue with some other examples from your staff there at EST, but thinking about how I've been treated, upsets me. I called my credit union today, 11.21.22 the check cleared last week. I have called the dealership 5 times today and no one will talk to me or return my call.
