Since April I was trying to apply for a Edgar's/jet account, no feedback, tried online, yesterday I went into the store and submitted full documents, , the place is so messed up, NO CUSTOMER SERVICE, the little lady told me I will receive a call YESTERDAY, I still haft heard from the little lady, now I called 15 times...
1. People went to scan my documents

3. Three hours later I call, someone ionisers and laughs like its party time then drop the phone in my ear

My word this is such a mess the way things are being done, , , is it SO HARD to just do your job NTABISENG, when I ask to speka to the manager, she tells me her manager is busy, I ask then to speak to the account people, no they are not there? Would you PLEASE just do something about your staff, give them customer service training! I will NEVER set foot in ANY JET or EDGARS store EVER AGAIN! I hate that place, please do yourself a favour and close your doors.

I have purchase a blackberry phone in Vincent Edgar's Hemingway's in East London on May last year, the phone heard a speaker problem and I took it in within two months, they kept the phone for a year in that process I would go and inquire about the phone, and they will say its still with MTN.
Now they call me after a year and tell me that my phone was not replace or fixed and mind you they said I must pay R330 before they can release it in man, I paid the money because I was hoping that I would receive the new phone or fixed phone.
I need your intervention in this regards as soon as possible as I will also try and find which place I can report this bad service.
I spend about R 1890.00 for the phone and within two months it gave me a problem and they kept it for a year and now they bring it back without any fixing or replacement.

I am highly annoyed with the service I have received from Edgars Clearwater. I arrived on Thursday, was offered 700 voucher when I open account. The gentleman said that all. It would take 10 minutes. I went to customer service and met with the gentleman. I was assisted by his colleague, to open the account. After about an hour waiting, I asked what was going on. They said they are waiting for approval. After about 90 minutes a lady came to assist. She called I am assuming head office where she was told that approval takes 24 hours... Firstly this was a complete waste of time and I don't appreciate it. I explained my frustration. I was called Friday late afternoon to collect card and voucher. Account was approved. I arrived Saturday morning. Told that the account was blocked... The services I have received has been appauling. After a good 45 miutes it was all systems go. I left the store as my daughter was finicky now. I came back on Sunday the 3rd as this was the final day of voucher. I was told voucher needed to be used when spending 1500. THIS WAS NEVER EXPLAINED NOR WAS IT STATED ON THE VOUCHER. I asked to speak to the manager. She agreed with my husband and I until the cashier showed her a sign with the 1500. Then she stated that the cashier was correct. I am highly freaken annoyed. I want my account to be closed immediately. . Now I am told some insurance was added on... please cancel everything. Then I am told I am liable for 98 rand for insurance. I beg of you to please resolve this. I will not be paying anything as I received anything but service from EDGARS EDCON CLEARWATER. I received grief, waste if time, waste of petrol. Waste of data trying to send statements twice. Resolve this immediately please. I am very very annoyed and saddened by the treatment I received.

I signed up for a personal accident plan a while back and to date I have not received any policy documents.I phoned on Monday 06/06/2016
requesting these to be emailed to me and were promised within 48 hours.
I phoned today and I was informed even if they were to be sent by email it would take at least 30 days for me to get these documents and that
the consultant that assisted me on Monday gave me the wrong information and this is how Edgars operates.
I need these documents as soon as possible or cancel the plan and refund me the premiums paid over to date.

I had an account with Edgars that i fell behind on as i lost my job. I made every endeavour to pay what i could but Edgars still listed me on Transunion as my account was a bad debt written off. This is completely untrue as i paid of an amount they gave me after a discount.
My details are now listed and whats worse is the ID number on there is not mine neither is my date of birth. But somehow its under my credit profile

I had recently purchased a pair of sports shoes, 5 days back back to be exact at edgars greenstone.i bought them to mainly use it for gym, in the morning i put them on and could feel they are a bit too tight.
around lunch time today i returned em to edgards to get a size a bigger, a cashier asked me if i had worn them and i did agree that walked with them around the house.he then called a manager, pine, who was not even friendly or helpfull who just said to me he cannot take the shoes back as they have been worn coz the sole is not as pure as a new one.i had the slip and the original packaging, tried explaining that i didnt even train with them and he just said that they are my shoes now so i should figure out what to do with em.what kind of service is this really
unlawful deduction of r39 for airtime from august 2014 to february 2016
I have for several months ie February 2016 to June 2016 followed up with Edgars to refund back into my account an amount of airtime unlawfully charged into my account from August 2014 to February 2016. This is Rocket Science for them to resolve.
Every month from August 2014 to February 2016 an amount of R39 airtime cell c was deducted, however when refunding, only approximately R174 was refunded. Surely R39 x 18 months cannot amount to R174. What makes matters worse, is staff members from Edgars who lie and say that they called me but my number goes to voicemail or I did not answer the phone. I sit with my phone the whole day and nobody bothers to call me which I have given to them more than 4 times already. On several occasions I have called and left messages for Thandi at [protected] and she won’t bother to call me.

5 June 2016 15h45 - Brooklyn Mall, Pretoria, Customer Services. I was there to return items, and for the umpteenth time left so frustrated and angry at the service which one receives. There was one cashier who was already busy with a client. I could see immediately that this was going to take awhile, as the client had a trolley load of stuff which she kept packing out, returning to the trolley, packing out more. No eye contact from the cashier or any attempt to call someone, or even just politely offer an excuse for the long wait. After 20 mins I was totally agitated and requested whether there was someone who could assist me. I had an hour at the mall in which to do my business and I had already waited 20 mins! She made no attempt to even answer me, again no eye contact. Some other employee came sauntering in and they had some form of discussion, but absolutely no attempt to respond to my agigitation. Eventually it seemed as if she was attempting some form of service in my direction. Her name was Gontse. I unfortunately forget the name of the first cashier. Totally ruined my afternoon of shopping. No excuse, on the contrary, made one feel unwelcome! Edgars is NOT my favourite store for shopping, and I will avoid it at all costs from now on.

I am very pissed off and disappointed with the customer service which I and my husband received on Sunday. It is with greatest sadness to receive such poor service from a manager. I and my husband went to complain about the financial services with were added on my husband's account the time he opened the account, the financial services were included without his consent, the guy by name Siphosethu did not inform my husband about the services which he was accepting on his behalf, he included the financial services then took my husbands phone to read the sms which was sent to his cellphone and Siphosethu immediately deleted the sms. we then complained to the supervisor in the credit office she then called the Credit office manager to assist, since the financial services were not appearing in the system as yet, we were then told to come back. when we went back we were told that none of the managers were on duty or available. then we went back on 29 May 2016, to our surprise the manager started shouting at us asking us as to why did we go to her this store controller Liezel Flanagan was extremely rude. iam still shocked and could not believe that such unprofessionalism still exist in Edgars, I use to know edger's for its excellent customer service. I would like this matter to be attended to and I would like feedback on this complaint. one of the white customer who also witnessed this behavior tried to advise her to stop what she was doing. she even threatened to have me thrown out by security, she was doing all this clearly seeing that I am heavily pregnant. I am still in shock on how she treated us.

OK - I am spreading this as far and wide as possible (next stop is Hellopeter).
On the 12th of May 2016, my wife passed away, leaving all of us quite devastated. The same day my mother in law went to sort out suspicious activity I picked up on her account (I get her account via e-mail). She is 76 years old and hardly leaves the house.
She went to Edgars Key West and showed the manager her account - there were 20 prepaid vouchers on the account done over a span of 3 days (2, 3 and 4 May). She was promised it would be sorted out, but of course this did not happen and now her account is over R 3000!
Pathetic and utterly disgusting!

16/05/2016 im pissed off So I pick up a Tom taylorjean that doesn't have a price tag I ask one of the people to assist me they simply refused only to find out that pants a already reserved for some1 cause I found a contact details of a person so I asked again pls get me the price of the jean n the lady simply told me that it's for some1 else my question is isn't it that first come first service are your employees allowed to put away clothes for their friends? And the attitude of ur employee was disturbing just remind them they don't work at shoprite to every one who's reading this don't do us shopping at trade route edgars cause the clothes I want will probably won't hve a price tag n is reserved for some1 else

I am absolutely appalled @ the service and treatment I received at the eastgate branch.
I went to do my shopping on sunday 15 may.
I went in looking for a dress.. Found something went into the fitting room with 3 dress (did my fitting came out) and returned the dress @ their department as they were not the right fit.
Continued with my shopping... I found a forever new dress and a jersey I liked, went back to the fitting room and did my fitting came out with the 2 items.
I took the forever new dress back and continued with my shopping,, next thing someone tapped on my shoulder turned around it was one your consultant and a security they asked me to follow them.. (no one said a word of where I was being escorted to)
Only to my surprised am taken to your control room, I find 2 ladies that where also in the control, one of ladies I think it is the supervisor asked where I put the forever new dress I responded and tolled her I put back @ the forever new department.. She then turn around and ask if I know the 2 ladies (I respond that I don't know them insisting that I even had a conversation with them.. Heaven know I had no idea of who they where… saw them I was going in for my second fitting they were coming out.. That's it)
Then the superior says to me well I know them, I respond that don't know them,
Then she say's to me that yes I do know them, then she searches my bag, the trolley I had with all the clothes and says to me where is the dress?
She them processed to let one of the ;ladies go look for the dress at the forever new department..
Still am in this room I never in my life thought I would find myself in being accused of being a thief.
The lady calls and says she can't find the dress, the supervisors ask me where is the dress my response is the same..
The supervisor accuses me of being thief that am working with the 2 ladies I found in there. (few minutes later she let the 2ladies go)
Am still in this room waiting, the lady come back with the dress in her hands..
No one had the decency to apologies (out of all the consultant in that room,, no one apologies)
The supervisor then (all of a sudden changes her story since the dress has been found that maybe those girls wanted to pick pocket me)
No one was decent enough to apologies, nothing

Can someone just explain to me what your wear and tear policy say and how you determine if something is faulty because of wear and tear?
I bought 2 pairs of nike slippers for 2 toddlers on the 22 december 2015 . I realized that one of the slippers is now loose on the one side and you can see that the inner sole is coming loose from the bottom of the slippers so i went to the edgars branch where i bought it from with my slip and box and all the they ( cashier and manager) said its wear and tear. I admit that i just took my slippers and walked away cause i had a bad experience with them before and didnt feel like arguing with a mgr that dont even greet a customer.
Mind you that the slippers is now 4 months old but i noticed that it was breaking around end of march and he didnt wear it afterwards
can someone just advise me on how you can tell that something is faulty because of wear and tear.

Yesterday (29/04/2016) I bought a pair of Shoes in Greenacres Port Elizabeth Edgars. used it for few hours same night and realised dat I needed a bigger size. When I returned the shoes for an exchange for another size with receipts, assisted by Amy Cashier and when she asked for authorisation from the Manager Samantha said she couldn't take back the shoe that was worn even if It was only one day since she had to take it back to the shelf for another customer. I told her my discomfort on the size and yet she refused. I left the counter for few minutes and came back out of frustration I called for her again on the till and she said she was coming I waited for about 30minutes, When she was reminded again dat she had to see me she said she was busy I shuld call for another manager, I found that very unprofessional coz she wasted mytime saying she was coming. I was then attended by Lynn who also refused to do the exchange. She said the shoe was damaged underneath and I told her to take it back to the manufacturer coz the poor quality of the shoe cannot be my fault coz I wore it for few hours and had to return it since it was too tight. She said she follows the rules from head office she can never take it back. Lynn said that she could only take it back if it was torned for the 30day and 6months return policy. When I showed the security guard she testified that the shoe was fine also failed to understand why the managers did not take it. I now need my money back or another shoe size. I cannot accept this and woñt stop until I'm satisfied. I should be treated with respect and dignity as the consumer. I will not tolerate this unfair treatment against my consumer rights.

I firstly would like to begin that I am highly disgusted in the poor customer service received from EDGARS over this past few months.
I received the SMS below last week Friday and tried to contact the call centre to find out that they’ve already closed.
Dear Edgars customer, your Income/Salary documents received do not fully meet the new Credit Act requirements. We tried unsuccessfully to contact you to rectify this, and a block has now been placed on your account. Please urgently contact our call centre [protected]
I went to the Kolenade branch yesterday to get assistance where the cashier assisted me to contact the call centre.
I spoke to Mkala and he advised me that the records was updated and according to the new records I only earn about R5000.00 p/month BEFORE deductions. I was also advised that I cannot buy on my account as it is FROZEN/BLOCKED.
I still receive the same salary and have the exact same expenses since the day I have opened my account.
Firstly, I would like to know who gives EDGARS the right to BLOCK my account!?!?!?!?
I HAVE NEVER MISSED ONE PAYMENT!
Secondly, as per the SMS it clearly states the following:

I have been fighting with EDGARS numerous times as I have never once since the account was opened received a statement, I never know what to pay so I need to go to a store each month to find out what I owe and to pay it. I ALWAYS pay a bit more than my instalment.
I previously had an issue with EDGARS as I made an EFT where my money couldn’t be traced which cost me to go to the bank to reverse the payment as it took EDGARS 6 weeks to get back me just to tell me that I need to sort it with the bank they can’t assist me.
I checked @ EDGARS Kolenade yesterday, I owe just over R 2000.00 all payments are up to date and my credit limit is R6000.00 so I am asking EDGARS again how do they just block my account WITHOUT my consent? Please advise with regard to the outstanding amount owed, how can I finish to pay off my account if I am not allowed to use it. I also want to close this account A.S.A.P
Again, what does this say about the customer service that you provide to your customers as I am just told our record has been updated and this is the info we have…. Where does this info come from? How is it possible not to make proper contact with your clients?

I bought this verssed motion e1.1 tablet two weeks ago at edcon limmited in bloemfontein .. it keeps shutting down with no apparent reason .. i recharge it 100% but the battery doest last even for two hours .. it keeps rebooting even if im not using it, two days ago it went off for a whole day and i couldnt do anything ... the screen takes too long to light up when i receive calls .. what am i supposed to do with it ... now my boss cant get a hold of me when i am not at the office and i cant open work related mails on it, it simply reboots or says app not responding ..

I purchased a jeans one month ago in durban . I am from ladysmith .
I wanted to change it for a smaller size but edgars ladysmith had no stock. So i kept it in original packaging to change when i go to durban. However when i went to durban they also did not have size. I thought i will try another store but same thing . When in ladysmith my husband went to see if they got stock in and was advised no so he decided to credit it . Store manager advised 1 mth old so willhave to take a vouche, which he agreed. Upon receiving voucher he noticed that the purchase price and the voucher was differnt by r150.00 . Advised this was bec of the price change. He said he would rather keep the jeans. Manager said he cant refund voucher . After spending in excess of r 150 air time trying to get hold of customer care and gift divison who advised me it was managers job to phone them to reverse the matter was then resolved and i was told to collect my jeans. The manager was very incompetent unhelpful and had a very bad and negative attitude . He could have sorted the matter if he had informed us before issuing gift crd for a lower amt and then refusing to reverse same or seek authority for reversal and i am now closing my acct and will never shop at edgars.

I visited the Edgars - Chatsworth store 17/04/2016. I was unaware that I had purchased a pair of eans on a buy 1 get 1 free promotion( the cashier failed to bring to my attention). only when I went in today(18/04/2016) to exchange the size, was I made aware that the item was on this promotion. I was refused the request to speak to the manager as well as the chance to receive a free promotional item. I feel wronged, cheated and unfairly treated. I feel that I should have had the opportunity to receive a free pair of eans as I had made the purchase on the promotional days. my transaction number is 315080.

I have an Edgars Account. I use to receive statements on my cellphone which I could never open and so requested snail mail. I was informed that to get the statement delivered to me via mail I had to physically go in to the store, which I did do. I received the first month's statement via mail but the following month it was back on my phone. This time I was informed that due to the post office strikes they cancelled the snail mail. I had to once again go in to make arrangements to receive my statements via post. Since then I have received postal deliveries, but noticed two months ago a jet charge of R 30. I queried this and asked for this unauthorized charge to be removed from my account and to be reimbursed for any other months I was charged for. I was notified that the book was taken off my account, but once again I have been charged R 30. This can only mean that the Jet Club Book was never taken off in the first place. I want this amount removed from my Edgars Account and to be reimbursed for any unauthorized monies added onto my account.

On 24/3/2016 at around 14:00 I went to edgars birch acres mall to submit a cellphone claim, while buzy with my claim I was approached by the security guard with no name tag.he told me that my son was playing with a toy and trying to pull it out of the box.he ordered me to pay for the toy.on inspection of the box and the toy I found out that the box was still intact and there was no damage whatsoever. I told the guard that I won't pay for the toy, because I was not there to buy toys.he started screaming and shouting at me in full view of other customers, telling me that I was an unresposible mother and I should never set foot in the store again. I asked the lady(tesia) at the cellphone counter to tell me the name of the guard but she refused to tell me and offered to take me to the manager's office.while waiting for the manager I asked the lady at till for the name of the guard and she refused to tell me, then I asked for her name because she was not wearing a name tag and she refused to tell. The other lady who worked at the cellphone counter wearing a cellc shirt passed and I asked her too to give me the name of the guard, she too refused to tell and I asked her too what her name was because she had no name tag and she said her name was "CELLC" .the manager (Khumo)came and I told her what happened .the security guard was called (now identified as Richard) he also gave his side of the story while continuing to shout at me infront of the manager.the manager called her supervisor Mr Pine Nemakonde to intervene, he heard my side of the story at that of Richard over the phone .He was ordered/told to apologise, which he did but the apology was not sincere at all according to me.I also told Mr Nemakonde about the attitude of staff and unidentified staff .he asked to speak with the manager and the manager lied infront of me and told him the staff were all wearing name tags.i have been a loyal customer of edgars for the passed 9 years and never came across such behaviour, disrespect, dishonesty.
