My client complained that they were driving in severe heat.
The people asked numerous times for the driver to please put off the heaters because it was hot and the driver just ignored them. There were 4 babies on board and were crying ans screaming the whole time that the mothers had to strip them naked for them just to cool down. We are almost in the middle of summer with degrees up to the high 30`s. I dont care if your bus is cheap and affordable. Everyone is still people on a bus no matter which one they traveling with. So tell your employees to stop being inconsiderate and think about their people also. I dont know in anyway how someone drives in severe heat. It makes you tired and you cant focus. air conditioning
The bus's airconditioning is not working and no one is apologizing for that.The external temperature is 30 degrees.We are being roasted on this bus from mthatha to cape town. Moreso it spent more than 30minutes at ultra city waiting for a special passenger despite the extremely heat .The drivers are not saying anything.There is not even a curtning which we can use to abate the direct sunlight.

I am very upset. I waited for Eldo coaches to pick me up from Tugela engen station in natal at 11am. Ticket number AA1NYV01. I saw the bus pass me at 10h45 so I called head office on 0112133333 spoke to as lady. She said she has to transfer me. She transferred me and there was no answer. Then i called twice more on same number no answer. She answered thereafter. She gave me 0129408088 number to call. I spoke to Ronal who said she will check and call me.Ronal called me back and told me the bus is 80 km away, she will condirm and get back to me. I waited till 12h00, no call came to me nor sms. I called back spoke to Vusi who told me that Ronal is sorting it out. I aksed what he meant as Ronal said the bus is 80 km away. Then the eldo coaches come to tugela and the bus driver told me the bus is full. i have to wait for another bus. Ronal calls me by then and tells me that another bus is coming and I'm upset cos I told her she didn't give me feedback in that your that past. she transfers me to Durban office because of the confusion. I booked my ticket a week ago on the 1st of August. Why didn't elsoa sms me to advise they Will be late. I had to use my airtime to call and hold on so many times. Im waiting by tugela not knowning if im getting a bus...then another eldo coaches bus comes. I spoke to the driver. He asks me to wait as the customers got down to go to buy food etc so I must wait to see where there is place to sit. I waited. This is extremely bad service. I'm very upset. My airtime, stress, not knowing if i will get bus back to jhb. I'm on the bus now. Over two hours delayed. I had to enquire on my own for knowing bus whereabouts.
disgusting state of the toilets and reception area of eldo bus service

My wife booked a trip to George on Tuesday to George, and we found the following issues:
1. Bus was 52 minutes late. should have left at 07:00
2. The toilets are filthy and in a disgusting state, as well at the infrastructure (It looks like the security gate was forced open with a crow bar. not locks on toilet doors.
3. The toilet lids are filthy around the lid hinges and have not been cleaned for months. (No supervision, or in non existing)
4. The bus had to be cleaned before anyone could board.
5. the receptionist was not pleasant had no smile.
6. the voting board talks about reliability (my vote is not at all reliable)
7. The front reception is filthy and was not swept
With this said, please give my wife a full refund no later then the 28th May 2019.
We will never be using Eldo bus service again.

On the 15th of April 2019 I paid a return ticket for my child[ son] in Eldo coaches office Mthatha a sum of R770.00, Eldo was supposed to pick up my child on 19/04/ 2019 from Tarkastad [ time 05h: 20 in the morning ] as sign in the ticket] of which my child did that and he was a company by Teacher. Then unfortunately for my child stay there at the pick up point for more than two and half hours waiting for a bus to arrive. Then the school have to leave the place hence they were for more than two and half hours but they could not leave of left the child behind for safety of the child, they take my child to his place. therefore Eldo coaches bus have failed to picked up my child in pick up point we agreed in terms of the ticket and in my understanding that was a breach of agreement by Eldo Coaches bus as they didn't honor their time as written the tickets.
Same day of 19th of April I did lay complaint to Mthatha Branch Offices. Even the Mother of my child phoned several times to Eldo Coach call Centre but they never picked up the phone. then I told Eldo Coaches Mthatha branch to canceal the tickets as they failed to pick up my child and refund my money R770.00 and Iwant fully refund of my money.
there was not single communication or SMS stating that the bus would be delayed nothing.

Catching a bus from Bloemfontein to east London. I have no problem with the bus being late but giving my bag away to someone that does not have a ticket for that bag !?
Got off in East London and the bus driver tells me his sorry. What am I supposed to do with sorry ? The staff member handling the bags did not even check the tickets with the bags just giving bags away to strangers !? I have no clothes and no toiletries and all my shoes are gone !?

Today at 2:30 am I got on one of your coaches in Springbok heading to Potchefstroom. We bought two tickets as we were two travelling together, there was no other seats available next to each other except for seat 1-6. As the bus pulled away one of the staff members sat behind me which is seat number 9-10, he informed me that passangers are not allowed to sit in die front rows. He kept going at us untill he moved to the front when we reached Aggeneys. Is this the service I'm paying for? Why do the drivers need 8 open seats available for the to rest? All my encounters with your service so far will not lead to any positive word of mouth or reviews for our side.

Why would Eldo Couches schedule a bus for 11:00am from Durban to Johannesburg if they knew very well that they won't have buses available. Now I'm sitting in a bus rented by your company that's not worth the money I paid and looks like it's about to fall apart. This is not fair, it's deceitful and I will never choose to ride with Eldo Couches ever again!

The bus is always late either with 1 hour or or two hours. The bus drivers use vulgar language .on the 30th of November the bus was 1 hour late they then told us one if the drivers never showed up so we will wait for another driver to b arranged they took us from Bosman Pretoria station where by the check in agent which appeard to be and African lady was very rude.the bus took us to Johannesburg park station where we waited for about 2 hours. We then arrived to Cape Town at 7am instead of 4am.we arrived same time with the bus that was R200 lesser n arrived on time at 7am whereas we took the expensive one n arrived same time with the 7am bus.and it wasn't the first time Eldon coaches between Johannesburg, pretoria and Cape Town are never on time

Made numerous calls either get cut off, or put on hold and then get cut off, once got hold of some supervisor telling me that the refund was done on 07/12, but still no funds reflecting in account

My name is Nave and my family and I have been using Eldo coaches for a very long time to travel from Durban to Jhb and back.
I am utterly disappointed at what has happened during my trip to Durban from Johannesburg with your Eldo Coach (B 510).
We left at 1pm today (29th November 2018). As we approached the 1st toll, there was a passenger who was meant to be on a bus to Cape Town that had incorrectly jumped onto ours (how this happened in the first place can only be placed down to incompetence on the person checking people at Jhb bus station).
We stopped at the Total petrol station before Heidelberg. We waited for roughly 45 minutes there! Firstly no one told us why we had stopped. I then decided to jump out of the bus and ask the driver, he said that there's a passenger onboard who he is waiting for someone to come fetch. Which is ok, understandable coz these things happen. At this point other passengers became upset and told the driver to leave the passenger and the driver responded he can not just leave the passenger. Makes sense.
So i go to the shop. When i return i realize that the bus had left. I had to flag a car down just to ask that person to catch up with the bus so i can get on again.
I ask you, do you think this is fair? If you were in the situation what would you do and how would you feel?
I am so disappointed and upset. I will be posting this on every social media platform, review site and telling people of Eldos incompetence and my experience and recommending they not use you in the future.

driver refusing to play music softer or put it off so passengers can sleep since 2am to 4am, and end of journey
I am on the bus travelling from Durban to Pretoria that left at 10 :15pm.After we left the halfway stop around 2 :10am, the driver has been playing gospel music so loud that the speakers above are distorting.
I had my earphones on trying to listen to sleep music but not succeeding as I have a terrible sinus headache, so eventually at 4am, I got up to the front of the bus to request the driver to kindly turn off the music or reduce the volume.
He flat out refuses, saying that if we need to sleep, he is also going to sleep with the music off. I have to be up when I reach Pretoria, to go to meetings and due to this inconvenience I don't think I will be able to be efficient due to the lack of sleep.
I also told him that I hardly have had much sleep coz I traveled down from Jhb to Durban the night before with my child, but he still refused to do anything about it.

Good day i would like to express my disappointment in the level of service received from this company and to just state that this is the first and last time i am using their buses and i will make sure i spread the word out there that it offerers bad service and why i say that is because firstly they dont keep time and secondly they do not treat customers right .
We had a bus that was scheduled for 2 in the evening and not only did the bus arrive late but also broke down along the way and we had to wait a good hour to get help which after that all we got was "we are not liable for anything which has happened and you chose to buy the bus ticket " i quote and this was by management so if management is like that then it means the whole of ELDO COACH bus service is pervaded by this disgusting attitude.

Leaving the customers me at montrose to run after the bus. No head count has been done before the bus left montrose... it's long now and my matter has not been resolved. No feedback what do ever. Cost me to email and call but nothing is being done.

I booked a return ticket to Durban about a month ago. I than later cancelled the return ticket because I decided to fly there. I than submitted a refund request on the 4th of October and at first I was advised by the consultant at their call centre than I can just go to the bus station and I can get my refund over the counter. I than later discovered that was the incorrect information. I was passed from pillar to post than eventually decided that the call centre supervisor Selesley Whittaker contact me, worse mistake I could have made. Salesley called me around the 8th and said she will follow up on this matter, she never again called nor did she email me with feedback. I had to contact the call centre and Salesley was no where to be found, eventually she emailed me the refund form on the 10th of October and advised me to complete it as soon as I could so that they will process the refund the next day which was Thursday.
I completed the form as requested by her and just like always she did not bothered to come back to me if whether or she had received the refund forms or not. Thursday came and past Friday as well and the whole weekend and there was no news from her.
On Monday upon my return to work I decided to call them and just like always could not get hold of her. On Tuesday the 16th I received an email from her stating that I need to send supporting documents id copy bank statement ticket and receipt, I was livid upon receiving this email from her because it had been a week that I submitted the form and she failed to advise me this when she emailed me the forms. That to me shows how useless and incompetent the call centre supervisor is. How can she not know what documents are needed for a refund?. I than emailed her obviously letting her know how furious I was with her bad service.
In the same email I mentioned that I had booked the tickets through the call centre so I didn't have a manual ticket nor a receipt. She did not respond that same day however the next day I received an email from her saying that my refund request was resubmitted and in my mind I thought that I no longer have to send those documents.
Days went by I didn't hear anything from here than I decided I need to deal with the call centre manager because she is clearly beyond incompetent. I was no dealing with Elize. Who called me and advise me after I had to send the documents again that my refund is done and that the money will be released on Thursday the 18th with immediate payment.
Today I called again and to my surprise the refund will only be processed on Thursday. I can not express how livid and disgusted about the service I have received from this company.
I want my refund no later than tomorrow afternoon, I would not have requested for a refund if I did not need the money. I have no decided to write a complaint to you and if I do not receive a call nor a reply by the end of the end tomorrow I will post another complaint on hello peter

This complain is in regard the bua that left Capetown on the 17th October at 13:00.
1st of all the male who was assisting with lagguage is not customer friendly, he speak like we dont matter. 2ndly the lady assistant was very rude to passengers.
3rd is that I'm inside the bus, it's not even a sleep liner. How do you even say this is a long distance bus? It's my 1st time ridimg Eldo and denindefinitely the last time. No wonder it's this cheap customer service sucks

What a rude Driver! Bad experience with Eldo Coaches.
Never again will I book this bus, High speed and when we complained about it the driver was rude and started swearing. It was really unprofessional.
This has left us as passengers really angry and frustrated. It shows that Eldo Coaches does not care about their customers.
No more Eldo Coaches for me and I am pretty much sure I am not the only one. I won't only leave this complaint here, I will call their offices too.

I made a reservation on 01/102018 for 02/10/2018 at Eldo coaches and used my bank card to make the payment.An error message popped out that the payment was unsuccessful and I will have to retry but the funds were not reversed bank to my account.I contacted the customer care and finally spoke to Vuyo after my calls were cut off for more than 5 times.He asked me to send email proof of payment and I did.I have not received any response from them until now and I have been unable to get through to the call center, after waiting on the line the call gets cut off.
It was my first time making a reservation with them and would never do it again, The service is PATHETIC .

Had booked 7 tickets to Jhb from durban..The bus was meant to leave at 7am..But at 6:55 we are told the bua will be 5mins late..The bus only left durban station at 8am.
That is not the worst part...The most shocking thing is that a bus called "Freeway coachee", Which was old and didnt seem to be in Good condition..
I went to speak to the consultant to ask why we were getting this terrible bus and she rudely said this bus is hired under eldo...Now the thing is nobody notified us of anything...Nobody told us we were getting a half baked cake...The bus that came was old, The side mirror was tied with salotape...

ignoring the fact that the service was horrible the lady who was checking my ticket did not even smile nor greeted me while i was entering the bus, she just took the ticket on my hand.The driver on the other side was the worse expirance ever...he was driving like a taxi driver from JHB, made me wonder if his license is legit or not.he was driving like he is carrying bags of potatoes.improvement is needed.i truly hope next time my expirance with Edlo Coaches would be different.

As the only white 2 passengers, does that mean we have to listen for 9hours to afrcan songs in gop volume!? It was very disturbing and after my husband went to ask if they ca please turn the volume down we were pointed out by the assistant. He spoke his language and apparently he said that they have to turn the music off be ause the whitea arw complaining!
AND the heater
was unbearing hot.! Overall was the maintenace of the bus poor as loose screws were not tigbt on the floor. And roof vent were hanging, etc. I will never use Eldo Coaches again. Very very dissapointed and for R35 cheaper. What a fool I was to try it. Will not recommend any one to use it. I have travelled with a lot of busses oved the past 9yrs and this was the worst. And I cannot proof it but I am almost 99% sure the assistant was intoxicated.
