Bought a car on 2/26 used
Bought a car on 2/26 used. And am already paying for car part. They charge me $150.00 plus tax just to check what's was wrong with my vehicle. Then inform me that the piece that was damage is out of warranty coverage. That's another $400.00 plus tax. Unbelievable! Then a few days later, my car battery dies. I called them and they just informed me that the warranty does not cover that either. It will be another $200.00. It's unbelievable! $750.00 in less than a month of me having this vehicle. Very disappointing. I have a 2018 Chevy and still to this day I haven't dropped a single dollar in a dealership or service.
I've been going to Honda at this place since the 80s
I've been going to Honda at this place since the 80s. In November , I talked to Alex, the parts boss, about a $200 Honda Courtesy Card I had (which was checked and ready to use). He said he'd honor the card 'cause "money is money." I needed some parts (I work at an auto service station) and he said he'd subtract each part as it came to us and I kept a running tab. One transaction was subtracted, but then he kept charging me for other parts when he wasn't supposed to. I left lots of detailed messages for him to call me back, but no luck. I went to the dealership twice, giving copies of all the transactions to another parts rep, along with the card's original envelope, and they said Alex doesn't have the card and can't help me. I think Alex took $160 from me and I can't get it back. Not cool.
I'm a really mad customer
I'm a really mad customer. I had the worst car sales treatment ever, just like you'd expect from this industry. They lie and hustle, doing whatever it takes to make a sale. They promised to fix the damage on my car before I returned it to the lessor, so I agreed to lease a new one. But they didn't do any repairs, and now I have to pay $1,700 for "wear and tear." Buying a car is one of those things that always feels like you're getting cheated, and my experience at Advantage Honda was no different. When I think back to that day, the showroom was like a bunch of piranhas, ready to prey on unsuspecting customers to meet their monthly sales goal. I've had 4 Hondas in the past 20 years, but now I'm done. I'm closing the door on Honda and never looking back. I definitely won't buy from Advantage Honda again. I wouldn't even give them any stars, but I have to give at least one to post this review.
My car got damaged at Empire Honda repair shop
My car got damaged at Empire Honda repair shop. NO ONE TOLD ME IT GOT DAMAGED! I found out about the damage after I paid the *** and got my car. Only after I contacted Honda Corporate did I learn how my car got damaged. The technician put it on the lift with the hood open and it hit the shop heater, causing damage to the hood with a burned area around it. I asked for an oil change and NY State inspection. The *** was $2600.00 and all I needed for the inspection was two lightbulbs. The $2600.00 includes an illegal 3% credit card surcharge. I've been dealing with the service manager and his only option is for me to give my car back to Empire Honda, which will then send it to their body shop. The body shop seems to have the same shady practices as Empire Honda, according to online reviews. I feel like there will be more problems for me and my car with this option. I'm a very unhappy customer, but they don't seem to care. Based on the service manager's response, you'd think I was asking for a favor. This used to be a good dealership, but it has really gone downhill under the current ownership. It's sad. If you want honesty and integrity, go somewhere else.

My tire blew out on August 5th
My tire blew out on August 5th. The dealership took my rim and tire and said it would take 48 hours to fix. It's now August 15th and they're saying they can't assist me until August 20th when my advisor returns from vacation. I can't ride on a doughnut for almost 3 weeks. I want my rim and tire. My warranty covers it and I don't want to go to the dealership and get upset.
I've been trying to reach out to Empire Honda (formerly known as the dealership) several times in the past few weeks
I've been trying to reach out to Empire Honda (formerly known as the dealership) several times in the past few weeks. I have a monthly finance payment for my 2012 Honda Accord, which includes the Extended warranty payment for the entire monthly payment structure until 2022. But, I recently discovered from the warranty company that my warranty only lasts until 2021. I've tried reaching out multiple times, but nobody has bothered to respond. I've already had problems with the dealership before when I bought the car, and now this?
I've been trying to get my refund from Empire Honda of Manhasset, but they ain't listening to me
I've been trying to get my refund from Empire Honda of Manhasset, but they ain't listening to me. They're holding onto $3000 for the warranty I canceled. I talked to road advantage and they said they already sent my check to the dealership and they got it on 09--2020. I even attached the email from road advantage showing that the money was sent. But every time I call, the finance manager Tyrone H acts like he don't know nothing. He's always rude and arrogant.
I bought a car from this place in August and also got *** coverage from them (given by ***/ ***
I bought a car from this place in August and also got *** coverage from them (given by ***/ *** Services, LP). The car got traded in later, and I asked *** to cancel the contract and give me a refund for the rest of it. But they're waiting for Empire Honda of Manhasset to sign a form. They tried contacting the dealership 4 times. They sent emails on 5/25/22, 6/6/22, and two emails on 6/13/22. I called the dealership twice and asked to talk to someone from the finance department, but they said they were too busy and would call me back. But they never did.
I bought a car (VIN# ***) on 7/20
I bought a car (VIN# ***) on 7/20. They were supposed to transfer the plates. The title had a lienholder. On 10/13, I got new plates (*** with registration) and a title with no lienholder. (***# ***) On 10/28, as they asked, I returned everything (***#***). I also included a filled out universal title application. I checked with the lienholder, and the issue was fixed. I confirmed with Trenton *** special plate division at *** that it takes 2 to 3 weeks. They are currently caught up with ***. They told me to renew my old expired registration on 8 for the car that was sold. I still can't legally use my 191-day-old vehicle. After 1/18, all communication was through email (GM *** was included).
I bought a Honda Accord at this place in January
I bought a Honda Accord at this place in January . I signed for extra payments for repairs on the car for an additional $8,000. On Saturday, 01//2021, I took the car to the dealership because of an engine light on the dashboard. I explained the situation to the sales associate called Manny and that I have signed up for "free repairs". He looked up my information in their system and confirmed the information. When my car was taken into the repair shop, they saw that the car had 180,000 miles on the odometer. They told me that my car was disqualified from repairs because of the high mileage and that Honda would not be able to do anything for my car, and that I must pay out of pocket. I told them that there was nothing in the agreement I signed when I bought the car, that said the car would be disqualified from free repairs if it reached 180,000 miles on the odometer. They gave me my car back and said there was nothing they could do for me. I am disappointed that they've been taking my money and are now shilling out of a contract.
I bought a 2014 CRV on Sunday, May 16
I bought a 2014 CRV on Sunday, May 16. The sales rep was *** who negotiated a total price of 14k plus taxes, fees, and warranty for a total of $15,359.50 (deal sheet attached). I gave a down payment of $4000 after the deal, leaving the loan for $11,359.50. Because it was Sunday EH's team couldn't finalize the financial part, but the person in charge, ***, (no longer their employee) promised me he would call me the following day so I could sign all the paperwork. I was able to leave with the car that day. Well, to my surprise, *** received a *** from *** for a car sold at $20k! I've been going to the office week after week to solve this problem and every time I speak to someone at the dealership, they acknowledge the problem, say they'll call back, nobody calls, we return to the office, and there's always a different story. *** agreed to send a check to *** to cancel the warranty and that way decrease the price, the bank has not received the check. *** also said he'd provide me with a copy of the canceled check, it has not happened till this day. Any help solving this issue would be greatly appreciated.
On July 5th, 2022, I went to Empire Honda of Manhasset and talked to their Finance Manager
On July 5th, 2022, I went to Empire Honda of Manhasset and talked to their Finance Manager. He said if I emailed him, he'd start the process for the prorated refund. So, on the same day, I emailed him all the documents he asked for. I waited a whole week, but your organization didn't respond. On July 13th, 2022, I went back to the dealership after getting the runaround on July 12th, 2022, from your reception desk over the phone. While I was there, I handed the form to your finance manager in person. He said he got the forms on July 5th, 2022, and that I didn't need to come in. He also said he'd reply to my email for my records and asked where I wanted the check sent. I waited 8 weeks, and on September 6th, I contacted the finance manager again for an update, but got no response. On September 11, I sent another email to the finance manager, copying a few other people who work at your dealership. In my last email, I gave them until September 16th to respond, but honestly, I think I gave them too much time. They should have sent me a check back in July. I don't have a lien on the vehicle, so the check should be made out to me.
t every time I was told he was too busy and would call back
t every time I was told he was too busy and would call back. But he never did. I got really frustrated with the lack of response and the delay in getting my refund.
Finally, after weeks of trying, I was able to speak with *** again. He apologized for the delay and said he would process the refund as soon as possible. I provided him with the proof of pay off/lien release once again, just to make sure everything was in order.
After a few more weeks of waiting, I finally received my refund on Oct. 15, 2022. It was a relief to finally get my money back, but the whole process was a hassle and took much longer than it should have.
Overall, my experience with Empire Honda of Manhasset was not a good one. The false information given to me by the finance manager, the lack of communication and delay in processing my refund, and the overall inconvenience of the situation left a bad taste in my mouth. I would not recommend this dealership to others based on my experience.
I recently got my car serviced in June **** for regular maintenance
I recently got my car serviced in June *** for regular maintenance. When the staff asked me what kind of service I needed, I clearly said that I wanted an oil change and for them to check my front left tire for any damage. I explained that I had experienced a loss of tire pressure a month and a half ago and had to manually adjust the tpms through the system settings. I told them that the tire pressure had stabilized and was fine afterwards, but I wanted them to thoroughly inspect it just to be safe. They took care of the car and the people at the service desk assured me that everything was done properly. The service records show that my car was in good condition overall, including the tires, with no damage mentioned in their report except for a recommended air filter change. However, two weeks later, in June ***, I had a blowout on the sidewall of the front left tire while driving on the Long Island expressway. It almost caused an accident with a semi truck, but luckily I managed to reach the nearest exit and pull over to avoid a collision. Unfortunately, this caused further damage to the rim. I strongly believe that Advantage Honda's service department was negligent in inspecting my tires. My life and safety are worth more than an $80 tire. I have followed Honda's recommended service guidelines and have had very few issues, but I feel that the dealership where I bought the car and its service department have not lived up to those standards. I also feel that they have disregarded their loyalty and commitment to me as a customer. They have not fulfilled the promises they claim to make to the best of their abilities. I didn't have any problems with their staff, only with their management. I tried to speak to the service department manager, but I couldn't reach them. They promised to call me back, but instead, I was transferred to an office number extension that went to voicemail. I asked to speak to any other available manager, but I was told that they were busy helping other customers. I bought the car in full in August and have only driven around 11,000 miles. It seems that once they received the payment, I was no longer considered a valued customer. This dealership's priorities are clear based on my recent experience. I am not happy with how they treated me and they still haven't contacted me. All I wanted was to address my current issue and discuss my options for the car. Their lack of response has left me feeling upset and dissatisfied. I believe that I have done everything I can as a consumer and I am holding them responsible for their actions.
