I was charged twice on the same day for SpyHunter. The date was 1/26/2021. The amounts were $ 31.80 and $ 44.52. It was charged to my Credit Card Number ending in '4093'. I need this credited. Ive never purchased any products from DRI&SPYHunter but they charged $45.73 without my authorization in Sept 22, 2020. I will dispute this. Im wondering how it could happen.

After being advised by various sites that it would fix the reundqcwtq virus, I made tye error of buying the product. It scanned my laptop, claimed to findcamd fix nearly 300 errors which my windows defender somehow missed despite regular scans, and failed to fix the reundqcwtq virus. After complaining to their help forum, they suggest it was just remnants which would disappear when I refreshed my browser. When this turned out to be false, they suggested a remote fix. I was not comfortable or convinced that would work, at which point they apologized but offered no other help. I cancelled my subscription and went elsewhere and found three free anti-virus software that have so far proved to work. I have had no appearances of the reundqcwtq virus since.
I bought SpyHunter5. It did not solve my problem but it emptied my "documents" folder screwing up my file system (I was able to fix it). I asked for a refund. It came within 48 hours but I am unable to uninstall the software. I called their technical support. I was told that they just supported the Spyhunter5 software and gave me a URL to another site where I had to buy software to solve my problem. I did not buy it.

unauthorized transaction on my visa
I checked my bank account, because my bank alerted me that my account was empty. First it said that my VISA had been used in IRELAND, and Dr MyCommerce Ltd, but now it says enigma software, Dri Spyhunter.
I do NOT recognize the transaction, and I did not make the transaction, as I was in Norway at the time. How someone managed to get the hold of my card details, is still unknown. I've got the money back from my bank, but that doesn't matter, since there was a lot of hassle to cancel my card, order a new one, file a complaint on the transaction, wait for the case to be processed, before I got a refund. And now the real hassle begins, since I need to update my card information to paypal, eBay and every other online store where I've used my card.

Bbb complaint filed - but enigma software refuses to give refund!
Nature of complaint: billing or collection issues
Problem description:
Misrepresented product (Spyhunter) with up-selling & up-billing
But no way to reach or correct my complaint. I want a total refund
$69.98 i'm requesting a full refund with no recurrent billing!
This software tied up my computer every time I rebooted and took

Unfortunately, we are not able to provide you with a full refund as requested. We have a 30 days money back guaranteed and we can refund transactions up to 90 days of the purchase. You bought our product in apr 2017 and never communicated with us. Spyhunter and reghunter have in internal communication system called spyware helpdesk, available inside of the application, quite visible on the side menu, where you could have used to communicate with us if all the other tried have failed. We would have helped you and even provide you with a full refund if requested within the time we can process refunds. However, in our system, we have no record of any communication from your until we received this complaint.
As requested, we have canceled your renewals, and no further charges will occur.
However, in the act of good faith, we would like to offer a six months extension of your subscription and a direct channel of communication with one of our highest qualified technicians to ensure that you will have your issues resolved.
Also, you should be ashamed to make a comment as you did about the good fellow countries of lithuania and bulgaria. You should educate yourself about those countries, and hopefully, you will find realized that they are thriving european countries which do not produce malware. Enigma software group usa, llc is a florida based company, in business for 12 years and we proudly have subsidiaries in bulgaria and lithuania, and they have performed quite an excellent job over the last several years.

I'm disappointed with spyhunter enigma's response, but not surprised.
I maintain the position of my original statements in this complaint.
Red flag #1 - you click to buy a product for $29.99 and are immediately charged $69.98 without explanation.
* enigma response did not address charging more than the advertised spyhunter for $29.99 in the first place. *
Red flag #2 - you're immediately enrolled in recurring billing for the $69.98 (Spyhunter & reghunter) with conflicting cycles or periods (Yearly vs semi-annually). * while safecart says they stopped the recurring billing - the up-selling an in-effective product & time plus frustration i've wasted on their product isn't even mentioned)
Red flag #3 - you can't resolve the billing quickly:
A) calling safecart - always busy.
B) finally found safecart's email - they responded & referred me back to enigma.
C) enigma online only had "technical support" contacts & referred "billing" to safecart.
D) who knew an internal software button on the application that was removed from my pc was enigma's preferred method for billing issues?
* contacting online businesses should be easy - not a game of multiple attempts until you stumble onto their "preferred method". Then enigma claims you never contacted them! It's not for lack of trying. *
Red flag #4 - enigma software downloading & scanning for hours upon every reboot plus intermittent updates while working on pc. The software did not resolve my malware issue & tied up the processor for current work.
Red flag #5 - in an effort to resolve issues via bbb - I find enigma's offshore addresses. This isn't a slam against the countries but rather an insight (After so many issues with the purchase & product).
Red flag #6 - enigma's response via bbb - imho, inappropriate.
The correct ethical business remedy is an immediate full refund $69.98 — it's enigma's business procedures that prevented a timely contact.
Bottom line - enigma software refuses to give refund!
I opened two BBB cases: one against SafeCart & one against Enigma Software for SpyHunter & RegHunter. As of 8/5/17, SafeCart issued a FULL REFUND which posted to my credit card, YET Enigma Software is still refusing a refund and seems to be uninformed. Go figure what that is about. I may file a consumer complaint against Enigma with the AG .
ENIGMA Software posted the follow-up to the BBB on 7/28/17:
Mr.XXXXXXX, I would be happy to give you a refund if you have contacted us within the time frame we have in our EULA. We have that time frame for a reason. If you had a renewal, I would be able to refund your purchase within 90 days but initial purchases, we can only refund it up to 60 days of the purchase, in an extreme case. What I would advise you to do is to contact your credit card company. They might be able to refund the transaction on their end. However, we have limitations with our credit card processor, and we simply can't refund purchases after the times specified above.
Mr. XXXXXXX, I know that does not fix your case, but I can assure you that I have personally checked all of our points of sale and none of them are double charging for SpyHunter. We have investigated your case further and whether you remember it or not you must have checked the box to purchase another software in our purchase cart called RegHunter. This is the reason why you were charged extra. Now, RegHunter's purchase box does not come checked, and for you to get it, as you did, you must have clicked the box, whether it was an accident or not.
I also checked all points of sale to make sure that RegHunter's box does not come checked by default and everything has been working as expected.
Again, at this point, all I can offer is a free subscription for 2 of our products, SpyHunter and RegHunter for a whole year to compensate you. The offer is worth about twice of what you paid.
Also, Mr. XXXXXXX, I may add that your unkind words will never help. Kindness is something that should always be exercised, and it gets you further than you couldn't ever possibly imagine.

Unauthorized credit card charges and unethical behavior
We received two unauthorised charges from DRI Spyhunter for € 35, 69 and 41, 64 on december, 27th 2016.
We understood that they decided to renew our computer antivirus for one more year without our confirmation.
So, what we would like now is :
1. Give back the money immediatly.
2. Never charge us again without a specific authorisation from our part.

Do not purchase this garbage. It is malware in my opinion. They will tell you to contact their bogus complaint email just to give you a run around. Run from this company and its practices. My credit card gets charged every 6 months for this garbage when I have emailed them over and over and they can't seem to find my account. How can they not find my account but they have my credit card information on file and keep charging it. I have contacted my bank and they will deal with them.

I have contacted my credit card company asking them to not allow these charges! The company has not responded back to my emails, or phone calls. However, I see this company has a lot of the same complains against them! They seem to continue to charge unauthorized charges to people's credit cards!

A recurring charge on my account shows up every 6 months. I tried to verify with Enigma Software, the maker of it but none of my email addresses are even part of their accounts. I am disputing charge with the bank.
Somehow the charge managed to continue after I canceled my card and got a new one. So this is not a forgotten charge this is ID theft.
