Unable to activate my account and no support to resolve it... given runaround by bots.
Just decided to sign up to Malwarebytes, only to find after 10 attempts, I was unable to activate my account via their links - one in email, another online.
So I searched for support. A bot was offered and that sent me round in circles to log in, since I had no log in details, that was of no help whatsoever. then I tried the only other option offered, which, you guesses, was to log directly into my account. So, you can't contact them via social media; you go round in circles with online help, I can't even cancel my subscription.
What kind of company is this?
Is this the future of technology, ie the Matrix, where no human or option is available to help? Just bots
I wonder who is on the Board of Directors? A series of bots with titles!
Seriously p****** d off.
Will be sharing this widely on social media as an organisation to avoid at all costs.
Recommendation: Don't do it!

Malwarebytes Anti-Malware
I purchased a Premium 3PC/1YR subscription for $79.99 on 3/28/23. The protection was added successfully to my PC however when attempting to add it to my laptop today using the License Key code, it came back as unable to do it. I submitted a Support Ticket but got an immediate reply that it was not found using that email. So I submitted another ticket using our other email address. Got the same reply. There is no way to speak to a human about this, and their bots are not helpful. I have 115 days remaining on my premium subscription and now they are unable to locate my account. This is the worst customer service I’ve ever experienced.
Desired outcome: I would like to be able to add the protection to my laptop
Malwarebytes Anti-Malware
I've been a loyal customer with Malwarebytes from the beginning. Recently however I had to reformat my laptop because file explorer stopped working. I own a lifetime key with Malwarebytes and when I reinstalled Malwarebytes on my laptop I got a message that my key had expired even though it automatically renews every 90 days. After contacting Malwarebytes support I got no reply. It was working perfectly on my laptop just hours before.
Makwarebytes
Tried multiple tim s to contact Malwarebytes reference a problem with my password. They keep trying to send a code a code that my email address which had stopped working. I also couldn’t turn off the tamper proof option but, as that mail did not work I am stuck with no access to my account. Very poor service and can’t recommend to other friends and colleagues due to this problem.
Desired outcome: Resolution

Malwarebytes
Everything I download is a PUP according to Malwarebytes.
Every site I try to go to is blocked by Malwarebytes.
Everytime I send support a text I've done something wrong, and they tell me to go somewhere else.
I called them once, and spoke to the rudest woman.
I'm fed up their attitude, and their product.
They blacklist programs that 92 other security services don't through VT4Browsers because their better than Malwarebytes which is rated 77% out of 100.
Desired outcome: Nothing
They claim to be an internet spyware company and plan on renewing my subscription without my okay!!
I am complaining about Malwarebytes. They say they are going to renew my subscription when it comes due soon. I do not want it renewed for I believe they are a scam and fraud company. They give me no way to contact them, not by phone, not by chat! I cannot contact them in any way! I want to report them for they are going up on the price and not giving me a chance to unsubscribe or tell them that I do not want their services any longer. Like I said I believe they are making money off people like me without giving us a way to contact them and stop them! I received an email not today. but I checked it today. This is
December 02, 2022. It was around 5:00 P.M. CST.
Desired outcome: I want to discontinue all connections with Malwarebytes. No more dealings at all. I want to be free of them. I want to be unsubscribed from them forever!!

***** My Malwarebytes ticket has been open for 5 months and still no fix *****
I raised support ticket 3857520 in May 2022 as Malwarebytes was reverting back to a FREE version. When checking my subscription it showed all five of my device had been replaced by unknown Windows devices. I had to deactivate those devices and re-add my own devices again. This has been happening every few days for the last 5 months. I'm just amazed that after all this time I'm no nearer to a solution. I've asked for this to be escalated but nothing happens. There appears to be no urgency in resolving my issue.
Desired outcome: Please fix my issue now
Malwarebytes Anti Malware.
I bought Malwarebytes Anti Malware last August 19, 2022. And they sent my the activation code for 5 devices for cad$ 85.83. And used it for about maybe 2 weeks. And after that the black list the activation code. It say's activation code expired August 19, 2022. I doubt, that the black list my code, because I bought it for only Cad$85.83. And you can't find that deal anywhere you go online.
Desired outcome: They give me back my license for 5 Devices, at the same Price, for 1 year. AS what I paid for.
Malwarebytes.
I got an auto renewal notice from "Malwarebytes" saying that they are going to renew my "service" by taking $44.95 out of my bank acount in August (2022). I haven't used "Malwarebytes in several year. I tried to contact then, but they go through a robotic contact system, so it is impossible to talk to a person. So far, I have been given the runaround by them for over a hours. Do not use this company. They are awful.
Desired outcome: Block payments through my bank.
malwarebytes virus
Received an email from Paypal indicating I had been billed for another year of the service. I do not want another year and did not get any advance notice since I was unaware of your negative billing. (Yes I am sure somewhere in the fine print I was told about this policy, however I do not do business with companies that bill in this manner so did not see it or I would have dealt with another internet virus protector) I asked for a refund within the hour of receiving the notice. It has been a few days and even after once again asking for the status I get noting back. ticket # 3845426. If you have to be so sneaky on how you get customers than obviously you do not have any faith in your own product. I feel like I have been cheated. I would think a company that is trying to compete with world class software companies would not want this label place upon them. I am giving you a chance to make this right and refund my money as I have requested.
Desired outcome: Refund my money right aware
Requesting refund for the software ordered in error
i ordered this software on the 12th apr by mistake and as you have a refund policy requested a refund £49.99 I have contacted Malwarebytes over a dozen times and have been given several ticket numbers IE.

the text states that Mr Jason Todd Associate Director, Customer Support
would assign an agent to contact me with regard to the refund. as I have said , no one has contacted me as yet. could you please tell me when can I expect this refund to be paid back into my bank.
I have an appointment on Friday with the Bank regarding another matter and will ask there advice if I have heard nothing from you.
is there any further information you may require to get this refund moving
I shall look forward to hearing from you in due course
Thanking you in anticipation

Desired outcome: expected refund
Malwarebytes antivirus
This program seldom knows it even exists. I have to pat it on the butt over and over to get it to even admit its there. Then its slow as it can ever even possibly be so its going to never catch anything! Then when I try and get support I have to sign in and then give it a code only to get tricked with a newer version in which I have to go back through the sign in and code process again! What the hell kind of support is that? NONE that's what
Desired outcome: I would like somebody to make this thing work at least 90% of the time then help me make sure its even doing anything.
Malwarebytes Premium & Service
On feb 21st I had to reinstall windows 10 and found out the Malwarebytes Premium was missing. I spent hours trying to contact them and when I did they gave Ticket # 378014 o the 23ed of feb. No answer yet. I just want the App installed or my money back.
Added information. My laptop is 7 years old and I was getting ready to replace it when the problem started and problems with my keyboard only added to the problem. Keys e, r, t, and n & m keep interchanging and gave me problems trying to post my password. As of now my old live.com email is only haft working and when I asked for help they told me to get a new one at outlook.com which works great.
Thanks for all your help but I have given up and moving on. I will contact a number of computer magazines with my story.
Desired outcome: Refund or a their App installed on my computer.

Invoice number BKD-[protected]
Price 39.99
This account is being billed by Cleverbridge
We cancelled our subscription 12/11/2019
It states on our latest above invoice copy down loaded from malwarebytes this invoice referrence [protected] at the bottom as follows:
"Your subscription has been canceled. There will be no further billing events."
Yet cleverbridge billed our credit card, again now on 8/17/21
Credit card reference # 2469252XX74B8G CBIMalwarebytes [protected] IL
when you call the number it sends you only to their website and when I go
to the website it referrences the above Malwarebytes invoice ref #
[protected] same as the one above and they say you must contract
Malwarebytes to resolve any issues. You can not talk to cleverbridge.net
direct. We have gone to Malwarebytes website which says you can
cancel your subscripition on line but we already did this back in 2019
and it says that it was cancelled already. There will be no further billing.
Yet my credit card has the above charge of 24.95 on 8/17/21 in August and refers to the above Malwarbytes invoice reference number. This is not the
first time that cleverbridge has charged our card using this invoice. We want a refund. We quit using Malwarebytes back in 2019.

this sounds like this cleverbridge is the one you should be talking with. they are buying the malwarebytes product via a canceled account. when you bought it from them did they have a option to rebuy automatically? malewarebytes has always been helpful with my support requests.
try and contact cleverbridge support: https://support.cleverbridge.com/hc/en-us/requests/new# let them know about the subscription and refund request.
i noticed on cleverbridge site they mention subscriptions. they may have you on a subscription with malewarebytes even though you cancled it with malewarebytes.

Refund not received
I purchased Malwarebytes Premium on August 6, 2021. I immediately regretted my decision because the download totally messed up my computer. I sent in an email support form to request a refund of $39.99. All I received back from them is a form letter email saying a ticket has been opened and I will hear back from someone. The original ticket number is 3545988. I emailed them again and I now have a second ticket number 3551973.
My original order number was [protected]. I have deleted Malwarebytes from my computer and I just want a refund. They company either doesn't respond or is very slow to respond. They also don't have a phone number to call.
My name is Donna Levin and my email is [protected]@gmail.com
Desired outcome: Refund of $39.99
