ESET Review: Good Antivirus Software, Poor Customer Service
My experience with ESET was not good at all. I had a big problem with uninstalling it from my computer. I tried many times to get rid of it, but it just wouldn't go away. I was so frustrated that I decided to contact their customer service. I talked to a representative who was supposed to help me with my problem. But instead of giving me the right instructions, he sent me a guide on how to install ESET. Can you believe it? I was so angry and disappointed.
I think that ESET should improve their customer service. They should train their representatives better so that they can help their customers properly. It's not fair to waste someone's time like that. I also think that their software should be easier to uninstall. It shouldn't be such a hassle to remove it from your computer.
Despite my bad experience, I have to say that ESET's software is actually pretty good. It's effective at protecting your computer from viruses and malware. I've used it for a while now and I haven't had any problems with it. So, if you're looking for a good antivirus software, ESET might be a good option for you.
In conclusion, I would recommend ESET's software, but I would also warn you about their customer service. If you have any problems with their software, be prepared to spend some time trying to fix it. And don't expect their representatives to be very helpful.
ESET's Poor Customer Support and Vulnerabilities: A Disappointing Experience
I recently had an experience with ESET that left me feeling frustrated and disappointed. I received a notification from ESET about a suspicious sign-in on my computer, but instead of blocking the sign-in, it actually prevented me from accessing my own computer. I tried reaching out to their customer support for help, but to my dismay, I received no response for almost a week.
What's even more concerning is that ESET seems to have removed their cost center and chat support, leaving affected customers with no way to get help. This is especially troubling considering that this is a known vulnerability that ESET has yet to fix.
Overall, my experience with ESET has been extremely negative, and I would not recommend their services to anyone. It's disappointing to see a company that is supposed to protect its customers fail so miserably in providing basic customer support. If you're looking for a reliable and trustworthy antivirus software, I suggest looking elsewhere.
Eset AV for Linux: A Reliable Antivirus with Frustrating Customer Service
I tried out Eset AV for Linux with a trial version and I gotta say, it was pretty good. So good, in fact, that I decided to purchase the product. However, I ran into a bit of a snag when I never received the password for my new license, only the username. I tried to get help through their chat feature, but unfortunately, it didn't really resolve the issue. Every time I asked for the password, they would just send me the trial username and password again, and then only send me the username for my purchased license. It was frustrating, to say the least. I mean, seriously, what's up with these people? Don't they know how to do their job right?
Despite the password issue, I still think Eset is a solid antivirus software. It's easy to use and has a lot of great features that keep my computer safe from all sorts of threats. I especially appreciate the fact that it works on Linux, which can be a bit of a challenge when it comes to finding good antivirus software. Overall, I would recommend Eset to anyone looking for a reliable antivirus program. Just be prepared to deal with some frustrating customer service if you run into any issues.
Disappointing Experience with Eset Firewall & Customer Service
I gotta say, I had some issues with my eset firewall and although the folks over at eset tried their best to help me out, their customer service was top-notch, they just couldn't seem to fix the problem. I shelled out some serious cash for a 2-year subscription for 2 computers and I feel like I got nothing to show for it. One of the eset employees even tried to blame my computers for the issue, but the only thing they had in common was eset. I gave them plenty of time to sort it out, but alas, here I am writing this review. I reckon you should think real hard before you go and buy eset. There are plenty of other security companies out there that might be a better fit for you.
ESET Review: Reliable and Effective Security System for Personal and Professional Use
but overall, I'm very satisfied with ESET's performance and would definitely recommend it to others.
I was hesitant to switch to a new security system, but after reading PC magazine's review of ESET, I decided to give it a try. As a book editor, I handle a lot of sensitive information and I can't afford to have my computer infected with malware. ESET has been a reliable and effective solution for me.
One of the features I appreciate most is the ability to schedule updates at specific times. This is especially helpful because I often work long hours and I don't want updates to interfere with my productivity. With ESET, I can choose when updates are installed and avoid any disruptions to my work.
I've recommended ESET to several colleagues and friends, and they've all been impressed with its flexibility and value. It's reassuring to know that ESET is constantly monitoring my computer for potential threats and taking action to keep me safe.
As someone who doesn't have extensive technical knowledge, I appreciate that ESET is easy to use and provides a solid backup for my computer. However, there have been times when I've had questions or concerns that I wasn't able to resolve on my own. It would be great if ESET offered live chat support to help me navigate some of the more complex technical issues.
Overall, I'm very satisfied with ESET and would definitely recommend it to others. It's a reliable and effective security system that provides peace of mind for both personal and professional use.
Eset Antivirus Review: Good Detection Rate, Slow System Scan, and False Positives
This program is great because it just works right out of the box. Ain't nobody got time to spend hours configuring settings, am I right? And don't even get me started on those pesky updates that slow down your computer to a crawl. Who has time for that? But I gotta say, this program does have a tendency to identify false positives. Like, come on, we don't need to worry about things that aren't even a problem. We're just trying to live our lives here, people!
But supposedly, eset has a really good detection rate, so that's a plus. However, the system scan is way too slow. Like, we're talking hours on a system that's not even that big. I mean, my hard drive is only 500gb, and I still have to wait 3 or more hours for a decent scan. That's just ridiculous.
And can we talk about the scanning of compressed files? Why is that even on by default? Ain't nobody got time for that either. Just turn that off, please.
Overall, this program is a good tool to have, but it's not our life's work. We just need something that works and doesn't slow us down. So if you're looking for a program that's easy to use and has a good detection rate, eset might be worth checking out. Just be prepared to wait a while for that system scan.
Mixed Review of ESET Antivirus: Great Software, Terrible Customer Support
I've been using ESET for a long time now and recently, I had to renew my protection. Being not that tech-savvy, I needed their help. However, the support I received was terrible. They used to be very helpful, but my last experience left me almost in tears. The person who assisted me, Jake, was very nasty and sarcastic. He had no patience at all for someone who is not computer-savvy. When I asked for help downloading an updated virus program, he told me, "I can't teach you how to use your computer." I was never treated like that before. He had control of my computer, and I know he could have done it for me, but he refused to help me. If you ever get Jake for support, HANG UP or END THE CONVERSATION ON CHAT. He is awful. Disgusting despicable horrible support.
Despite this terrible experience, I still believe that ESET is a great antivirus software. It has protected my computer from viruses and malware for years. The software is easy to use, and it doesn't slow down my computer. I also appreciate that it doesn't bombard me with annoying pop-ups and notifications.
However, I do wish that ESET would improve their customer support. Not everyone is tech-savvy, and it's frustrating when you need help, and the support team is unhelpful and rude. I hope that ESET takes this feedback seriously and trains their support team to be more patient and understanding.
In conclusion, ESET is a great antivirus software that I would recommend to anyone. However, if you ever need help from their support team, be prepared for the possibility of encountering someone like Jake.
ESET Antivirus Review: The Best Protection for Your Computer, But Follow Installation Instructions Carefully
I've been using ESET for a long time now and I gotta say, it's the best antivirus software out there. It's got all the features you could ever want and more. But let me tell you, if you're planning on installing ESET, make sure you uninstall any other antivirus software or trial versions before you do. If you don't, it can really mess up your computer. I'm talking about breaking Windows and not being able to log in. It's a real pain in the butt. So just make sure you follow the instructions and install it on a clean computer.
But once you've got it up and running, ESET will protect your computer from most threats on the internet. Of course, there's no antivirus software out there that can protect you from everything. You've gotta be your own first line of defense. That means educating yourself about online threats and not clicking on sketchy links or ads. And always read the fine print, because you never know what you're agreeing to.
I've found that combining ESET with Malwarebytes is a great way to keep your computer safe. But like I said, even the best antivirus software can't protect you from everything. So be careful out there and stay safe!
Disappointing Experience with ESET's Antivirus Trial: False Positives and Confusing Messages
I recently decided to try out ESET's Antivirus trial from their website before purchasing it. I had read on CNET that it was rated at 4.5 out of 5, so I thought it would be a good option for my computer. However, I soon found out that it nearly wrecked my computer.
After downloading the trial, I received a notification that there was a virus on my computer and that it had disabled some drivers. ESET then prompted me to download a program from what appeared to be a Microsoft website. I tried to save it to a CD, but it wouldn't copy. I didn't think much of it at the time, but looking back, I should have been more cautious.
To make matters worse, I then received an alert pop-up message from ESET claiming that a program on my computer was reliable, but that the entire program was infected with a virus. I was confused and frustrated, as I had trusted ESET to protect my computer.
I had to do a system restore three times to remove ESET's Antivirus from my computer. During one of the system restores, I even received another pop-up message saying that ESET had been removed from my computer. This was concerning, as I had not intentionally removed it.
After the third system restore, I used CCleaner to get rid of all the remaining registry keys and hidden files associated with ESET. It was a frustrating and time-consuming process, but I eventually got my computer back to its original state.
Overall, I was disappointed with my experience with ESET's Antivirus trial. While I appreciate the effort to protect my computer, the false positives and confusing messages made it difficult to trust the software. I would caution others to be careful when downloading and using ESET's products.
ESET's Antivirus is Second to None, but Tech Support is the Worst in the World
I've been using ESET's smart security product for years now. As a veteran PC technician and IT support technician in the security technologies industry in Silicon Valley, I can say that ESET's antivirus is second to none. However, their tech support is the worst in the world. It's been two months since I reached out to them, and usually, there is a two-week wait between emails. Their first reply offered very little advice, and when I replied with the fact that I had already done what they suggested, along with a copy of the log from the software, they advised me to email my local retailer. However, I bought it from their website, so it is their responsibility.
I've advised all my clients to no longer use ESET and move to Kaspersky. Currently, ESET's firewall has a problem allowing two core Windows 7 networking services to operate, even with all exceptions made, as well as a blanket "Safe Zone" inside your own network.
Here's the exact log from just last week:
9/14/2011 7:37:47 AM Communication denied by rule fe80:: 353d: 26e: dbc8: c9fe.: *** fe80:: f017: a2e9:7f7d: aa85.: 5357 TCP Block outgoing Web Services Discovery (WSD Events) requests for svchost. Exe C:\Windows\System32\svchost. Exe NT AUTHORITY\LOCAL SERVICE
9/14/2011 7:37:45 AM Communication denied by rule 192. 168. 1. 195:*** 192. 168. 1. 194:5357 TCP Block outgoing Web Services Discovery (WSD Events) requests for svchost. Exe C:\Windows\System32\svchost. Exe NT AUTHORITY\LOCAL SERVICE
Despite these issues, I still believe that ESET's antivirus is one of the best out there. It's just a shame that their tech support is so lacking. I hope they can improve in this area, as it would make their product even better.

ESET Security Service Review: Disappointing Customer Service and Failed Protection
I gotta say, I ain't too happy with ESET. I thought I was doing the right thing by signing up for their security service, but boy was I wrong. Just three months in and I got hacked! And let me tell you, it ain't easy trying to get in touch with these folks. No phone number to call and no email address to send a message to. What kind of customer service is that?
I mean, I never had any problems with those free antivirus programs. And now I'm out here wasting my hard-earned money on something that doesn't even work. It's a real shame, I tell ya. I was hoping for better from ESET, but I guess you can't always get what you want.
So if you're thinking about signing up for ESET, I'd say think twice. Maybe stick with the free stuff or find another company that actually cares about their customers. Because let me tell you, ESET ain't it.
