Listen to the one-star reviews, and STAY AWAY
Listen to the one-star reviews, and STAY AWAY. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. The services they provide the best are neglect and gaslighting. Absolutely don't trust this business with your mental health.
This place is the worst!
This place is the worst! I had the worst experience ever with them. And trust me, I'm not just saying this because I'm mad. It's the truth! The care I got was terrible. They never pick up the phone, never call back, and don't even bother replying to messages. I'm desperately searching for a new psychiatrist. I can't wait to leave this place. Seriously, stay away from here!
I called and asked for a psychiatrist, they said I would see one
I called and asked for a psychiatrist, they said I would see one. The reminder said I'd see a certified psychiatrist. They billed me right away and gave me a nurse with no experience. The nurse couldn't do anything except give me a bad reaction to medication. I asked for a transfer to a psychiatrist, they said they would and gave me another nurse. They also overcharged me for my first visit and took a month to admit the mistake. The medical treatment and bedside manner were also bad.
This place is the worst psychiatrist I've ever been to
This place is the worst psychiatrist I've ever been to. I was a patient for a long time and they don't understand that I don't want to see a male psychiatrist. I had a scheduled appointment and waited in the waiting room for over an hour, only to be placed with a male psychiatrist even though I asked them not to. And when I finally found a good psychiatrist that I liked, they left because they couldn't stand working here. The employees are disrespectful and only care about money. They charged my insurance over $2,000 for a 10-minute visit with a psychiatrist who knows nothing. Stay away from this place.
My adult daughter recently moved back to *** and Eustasis was recommended to us by a former therapist
My adult daughter recently moved back to *** and Eustasis was recommended to us by a former therapist. We made an appointment to see a psychiatrist, but saw an NP instead. He didn't know enough about anything to recommend new meds, so he just renewed her current ones while we wait to find a new doctor. She then had to return in 30 days to renew the scripts and she was assigned a different, random provider who never introduced herself. Two weeks later, we are still trying to get her prescriptions filled and no one at Eustasis will return calls. The one person who did call was untruthful about efforts to resolve the issue. This is the most frustrating experience we've had in 20 years of mental health care.
In November , I had some kind of follow-up appointment
In November , I had some kind of follow-up appointment. At first, I went there to get tested for ADHD, but the doc said I didn't have it and that I was just depressed. So, they put me on medication that didn't really seem to do much except give me brain-zaps. Then, during my visit in November, they tried to charge my old insurance that wasn't valid anymore. I didn't find out about this until July 29, 2022, just 2 days before my insurance from my previous job was going to expire. They should have called me back sooner, within the 90-day period for filing insurance claims. But no, they waited until it was almost too late. Even though my insurance should have been valid at the time, since it wasn't within 90 days of November , they told me the insurance probably wouldn't cover it. So now, I'm expecting a surprise bill of $150 that needs to be paid. It's absolutely worthless.
I had an appointment with a therapist for my son at Eustasis Psychiatric & Addiction Health
I had an appointment with a therapist for my son at Eustasis Psychiatric & Addiction Health. The first appointment cost over $300 for intake and bloodwork. However, we never actually saw a therapist. My son specifically mentioned that he only wanted therapy, not medication. But they insisted that he should go elsewhere if he wanted therapy.
We decided to try a walk-in appointment in Springfield instead. Unfortunately, we ended up waiting for over two hours. Despite the long wait, my son still didn't get to see a therapist. The staff came into his room a few times and kept talking about medication. Even after repeatedly telling them that he didn't want medication, they said they couldn't help him unless he wanted it. It was quite surprising.
I understand the importance of medication if it's what the patient wants or needs, but shouldn't the therapist or doctor recommend it after seeing the patient a few times? I can see why they might be concerned, but it seems like they jumped to conclusions too quickly.
Another issue was the lack of privacy. My son mentioned that he could hear everything being said in the room next to him, word for word. So if privacy is important to you, it's another reason to avoid this place.
I got real bad anxiety, so I've been seeing docs and shrinks my whole life
I got real bad anxiety, so I've been seeing docs and shrinks my whole life. Eustasis gave me the worst treatment ever for someone with mental problems. They made me sit in a room for two and a half hours, and when I started freaking out, they took me to the lobby in front of like 13 people. I just wanted my copay back since I never saw a doc and to get outta there. I tried to leave, but the lady at the front seemed mad at me, like I was being unreasonable, and kept calling me back to the desk. I was shaking and crying the whole time, and they just made me wait while everyone stared. I've never been so embarrassed in my life. I ended up just walking out, so I hope they give me my copay back 'cause I can't even bring myself to call 'em now. They shouldn't be callin' themselves mental health providers.
This medical experience has been the worst of my life
This medical experience has been the worst of my life. As a father dealing with child loss, depression, and such, I wanted help. It started out good at first, but as time went on, they kept pushing more prescriptions. I didn't want all those prescriptions. When I told them and tried to stop taking them, they dropped me as a patient, giving me hardly any time to find another place to continue my treatment. And they didn't seem to care about it. You never see the same provider twice, so nobody knows what has been said or done before. Their billing is a whole other problem. Payments aren't posted right, and they mess up the insurance billing, so you have to keep paying or they won't see you. It all comes down to pushing medicine and tricky billing. They're only in it for the money, and if you do some research, you'll see that I'm not the only one with this kind of story.
After my daughter was suspected of having ADHD/autism, and noticing similar signs in myself, I decided it was best to seek an evaluation
After my daughter was suspected of having ADHD/autism, and noticing similar signs in myself, I decided it was best to seek an evaluation. I struggle with anxiety, leaving the house, and meeting doctors due to previous bad experiences. Luckily, I was able to get an appointment for the next day, which is much faster than anywhere else nearby where I live. The whole appointment went really smoothly. Everyone was nice and made me feel heard. I received my diagnosis and was prescribed new medication. It's been a week now, and the difference in my quality of life is amazing compared to before. Not only am I realizing that what I thought was normal actually isn't, but I've also accomplished more this week than I have in the past few months. It used to take me over a month to paint my daughter's small room, but this week I've actually cleaned the house, put in a new cement pad in front of the house, met with my college advisor and disability services, took a proctored test, took my daughter to all her activities, and have been taking care of my newborn and 3-year-old while my fiance is away. This is incredible to me! Thank you so much for giving me my life back!
This place is the worst I've ever been to
This place is the worst I've ever been to. I went there for a year and a half and never had a problem with my prescriptions or any illegal drug tests. Then, something happened that wasn't my fault and I lost my Suboxone (I'm on medication-assisted treatment). Eustasis told me they couldn't treat me anymore and even reported me to the DEA! All because of one incident. Luckily, I found an amazing provider who knows about my past issue and is willing to help me. But now, I can't find a pharmacy that will give me my Suboxone because Eustasis reported me to the DEA. They all say they're "uncomfortable" giving me controlled medications. I get that there are rules for our safety, but come on! One mistake in seven years of treatment shouldn't have such severe consequences. Needless to say, this has made it really hard to stay sober. I know some people don't believe in medication-assisted treatment or just tell you to "quit" but addiction isn't that simple. To sum it up, don't go to Eustasis if you don't want your life ruined by one mistake.
This place ain't no good for real psychiatric help
This place ain't no good for real psychiatric help. Every time I go, there's a different nurse who just wants to shove whatever pills the drug guys gave 'em that month. They put me on a med, then the same provider called in a lower dose than what I usually take. It took forever and a bunch of calls to fix that mess. No sorry or explanation for why it happened. The nurses get treated like garbage by the owners. They don't even bother to introduce themselves or remember my name. The wait times are awful and they make you do unnecessary drug tests. They try to mess with your head, saying you won't find help anywhere else for a whole year if you try to leave. They don't see you as a patient, just a dollar sign. I hope all this feedback makes 'em lose their license 'cause that's what they deserve. No one else should suffer at the hands of this place.
The whole experience with this place was terrible
The whole experience with this place was terrible. It started with feeling like they charged me too much and didn't give me the right information. Right from the start, it seemed like all they cared about was money and not my well-being. It took me two months to realize that they only cared about my money. One day, I saw someone crying because they couldn't pay the amount they asked for, and they just turned them away. Do they care? I don't think so. The first month was just quick meetings that lasted fifteen minutes, but they billed me for a whole hour. It wasn't until the second month that I finally got to see someone who could actually help me. Two months later, I found out that they weren't even in my insurance network, even though I called and they said they were. During the time I spent with them, I didn't feel like I made any progress or got any real help, even though I paid so much money. The first month was just a bunch of people pushing pills and not caring about me. The second month was with new employees who didn't seem to know what they were doing yet. The receptionist at the 3100 office has been late twice, showing up five minutes after 8:00am, and then acted like it was our fault for waiting for our 8:00am appointments. In conclusion, I wouldn't recommend this group to anyone.
