Scam!
Scam! These people came to my home and offered me some weed control stuff for free, which I accepted. I wasn't happy with the result, but I let them come again the second time and I paid $45 for it. The only reason I let them come back was because the first time they did it for free and I didn't want to be the guy who cancels without paying anything. So now they're charging me another $45 because the first time that was supposed to be free... It's no longer free. According to them, it's not free because I didn't let them come 6 times, when the salesperson never said that. That's what I call false advertising! Even though we never made a contract, these people got a collection agency involved for some free service they offered. Be careful with these people.
this company, Fairway Lawns, Inc
this company, Fairway Lawns, Inc., has really terrible customer service. We gave them a call to set up their services, but it took them weeks to finally come after our initial call. When they did come, we paid the bill, but they never showed up again. The service was so inconsistent that we had to call them multiple times to come out. One time, the worker explained to us that they didn't have enough workers. It's been two months since then, and now we receive a collection bill for $43.00. I called to ask why, and the representative told me that they came to our home and we didn't pay the bill that was left at the door. I told her that we didn't see any bill. I asked why they didn't send an invoice or give us a phone call. She said she wasn't sure why and promised that the manager would call me. When the manager did call, he blamed us for the entire situation and basically called us idiots. This is really terrible customer service. To make matters worse, we checked our security camera footage for the date they claimed to have come, and they didn't show up at all. So now we're stuck paying a bill for services we never received, and we're not sure why.
I've been using Fairway for about 1.5 years, hoping they'd make my lawn look great
I've been using Fairway for about 1.5 years, hoping they'd make my lawn look great... but I don't think it ever did. They always leave notes saying I should manage my yard better, even though I cut and water it regularly. But I've still stuck with them.
Now, the last straw is finding out they've gone paperless with billing. In January, I got a random email asking why I'm not getting a physical bill, and they said they want to go paperless. That doesn't work for me. I like having records and a stack of bills to send off. But of course, the email got buried and I didn't pay because I didn't get a physical bill. And now, I've got a bill from a debt collector today. They never mailed it to me or hung it on my door. Ridiculous! I guess that's how they send bills now. I always pay my bills if I actually get one and agree to the payment method. They can't just change their collections practice without asking us. I'll find another service. Being turned into a bill collector without even getting a bill in the mail is a huge insult.
Ridiculous!
Ridiculous! This morning, ON A HOLIDAY, I was woken up with an alert from my security camera that someone was IN my backyard. I got up to go see who thought 8AM on a Holiday Monday was a good time to snoop in my backyard. I found the Fairway Lawns rep, Casey Stone, spraying my lawn with chemicals! We DO NOT USE FAIRWAY LAWNS! Previously, 4 years ago, Fairway "forgot" they had serviced our lawn at another address & reserviced it, killing our entire lawn! Cost us THOUSANDS fix! Today, he questioned whether or not I knew my address & if my last name was "Adams." It's not. I do know my address & my name. He left, realizing HE had mad a mistake, and laughed about it. Who does that? I then posted on our neighborhood's PRIVATE Facebook page in case the actual customer of Fairway was waiting on their lawn to be serviced. This rep of Fairway Lawns then JOINS our page, pretending to be a resident, and begins bashing me! RIDICULOUS! You cannot just randomly go treat people's lawns & inspect them to be ok with it. I should file charges with the sheriff's department as he was TRESPASSING ON MY PROPERTY! He can't guarantee he didn't kill my lawn. Especially since our lawn was treated by the actual company we have a contract with a few days ago. Should my grass die because of this negligence & incompetence, I will be contacting an attorney!
I hired Fairway Lawns in April 2022
I hired Fairway Lawns in April 2022. My experience was like this: They talked about a lower contract 'cause it was already more than 1/3 of the way through the year. We agreed to service calls every 5-6 weeks. But then Fairway broke the contract. The last two "service calls" were less than 4 weeks apart. The service didn't do anything, my lawn had lots of thatch and weeds. It was good when I hired Fairway. Whatever they put on it, it didn't work. The second to last service call, the tech came and left in less than 10 minutes. I have a big property, 1 acre, 8500 square feet under contract. You can't treat an area that big in less than 10 minutes. On the last "service call", they didn't do anything. The tech came and left in 3 minutes. I think he just put the sign on my lawn and left, thinking no one was home. I called the office on October 12, to complain and cancel the service. I talked to a manager there and explained everything. She said if I wasn't happy with the service, I wouldn't be billed for the last service call. Six months later, they sent me to collections. I left two phone messages and a message on their website this past week, asking for a manager to call me back. They never answered. They don't care about resolving things peacefully. I really suggest choosing a different company instead of Fairway Lawns.
Stay away from Fairway Lawns, Inc
Stay away from Fairway Lawns, Inc. On May 5, 2022, between 9am and 10am, I was driving into my driveway after running some errands. I noticed a Fairway Lawns technician parked in front of my neighbor's house, wrapping the hose around the trunk of my tree at chest height on my side of the property. He continued to pull on the hose with great force, putting a lot of pressure on the bark of my oak tree. He then walked with the hose down my neighbor's property line to finish the fertilization and fungicide application. Instead of walking back a few feet to bring the hose back to where he was, he simply threw the hose nozzle around the trunk of my oak tree and pulled as hard as he could, causing the hose to slide and pull against the bark at a sharp angle. The technician leaned at a 45-degree angle, visibly exerting significant effort and using the tree as leverage as he walked down the property line.
I quickly parked my car in the garage and walked to my front door to confront him. I tried several times to get his attention over the loud motor of the Fairway Lawns truck. Finally, I said, "I really don't appreciate what you just did," as I pointed at the tree. I can't remember his response, but he looked surprised. I couldn't believe that someone would trespass on someone else's property and treat it so carelessly, especially when I put so much effort into maintaining it, not to mention the significant cost involved.
Assessment: If a company like Fairway Lawns can engage in such irresponsible practices that can cause damage to others' property, who would want to hire them? How would you feel? Doing what he did to my tree could easily kill it if done repeatedly. And let's not forget about the emotional distress caused by this incident.
fairway starts off like a really good company answering all your questions
fairway starts off like a really good company answering all your questions. but once they start doing things they don't explain all the ins and outs about there services . they killed plaints in the yard by applying the wrong chemicals or too much. they actual killed my grass in my back yard . yes i called and asked for the owner of the *** branch or manager to call me and no response, I called to make final payment and the girl said she was to busy to call back later. not a good customer service company.

Be careful of their continuous contract terminology
Be careful of their continuous contract terminology. They will send your bills to collection agency. This is probably an illegal "continuous contract". I never signed a continuous service with them. Marketing tactics like these are not good for busineses, I quote a review from below " marketing tactic to entrap customers and fleece them. Shame on you Fairway Lawns Inc. If the upfront payment buys you 7 - 8 sprays for the year, where is the need for a "continuous contract"; And why am I knowing about this "continuous" nature of it only now?"

Fairway lawns sprayed a quarter of my yard (thank you, cameras) and charged me full price
Fairway lawns sprayed a quarter of my yard (thank you, cameras) and charged me full price. When I informed that I wanted to cancel, they asked to redeem by spraying again. The same thing happened and now I have a bill for over $250 that they turned into collections. Their website states that if you are unhappy with the last treatment, there is a money back guarantee. This is obviously false. I have spoken with someone over the phone 3 times, being informed that I am correct and a manager will contact me, but no return call yet. 6 months sitting in collections and my credit score has suffered. Would not recommend.

False advertising??
False advertising? Not clear why a no obligation introductory offer is a contract. Not clear why cancelling a service you didn't sign up for is so difficult. Not clear why a no obligation introductory offer is actually a special price if you agree to a contract else its neither a special price nor an introductory offer and definitely obligatory. It has been a rather negative experience and the persistence of the billing department and a management team that is either deliberately slow or slow in its nature & structure to understand when a customer says NO THANKS, WE DON'T NEED YOUR SERVICE, it should be heard right away.
We paid full payment for care of our trees and lawn
We paid full payment for care of our trees and lawn. They did a good job with the lawn, BUT three of my trees started to die. It was VERY visibly noticeable, but they sprayed them without a word to us. Finally we questioned them and showed them photos. It took a long time for them to ever talk to us and address the problem. Well, actually they didn't address the problem other than show the photos to an extension. We were advised to cut the dead branches off ourselves and continue to water.WE were to cut the branches...not those we paid to care for the trees.Cutting the branches didn't stop the trees from dying. They didn't complete our lawn treatment and did not refund our money. We do not recommend this company.

Fairway Lawns has very poor service. This company ruined my beautiful lawn over the course of three years the lawn degraded. They imply good service, however, no manager has returned my calls, and no effort was made to correct the damage. Canceled the service and asked for three refunds from the previous service; I only received one. I am very disappointed. Worst of all, this company is treating most of my neighborhood, and all lawns primarily show damage and signs of grass stress issues. I expect more of us will cancel Fairway Lawns. The treatment plan is nonprofessional, as no soil analysis was ever done before treatments, nor is there active communication with a client to prevent future grass issues. And as one former client tells, the technicians don't usually treat the grass with the correct chemical, and the time spent during service is very short. Hiring this company is surely a waste of hard-earned cash.

This place has no idea about lawn care
This place has no idea about lawn care. We first contacted fairway about our back yard. We have fescue in the front and Bermuda in back. Our front yard has always looked amazing and never a single weed because we reseeded, treated and watered consistently for 3 years. We wanted our back to look like the front so we contacted them. The tech that came out mention how green and nice our front yard was and we told him we wanted the back to look better but he also suggested spraying the front because he said it would keep it looking green like it is now. So me and my husband took his word and said ok. We weren't satisfied at all with our front it looked horrible after they sprayed we had nothing but weeds in front and even more in back. So a manager *** came to our house to look and said we had a lot of weeds. I said we never had the weeds until yall sprayed he called me a liar. I showed him pictures from the time we moved in 3 years ago up until may 31st of this year. All my pictures were dated and timed. I showed him May 31st because 9 days later they sprayed my yard. He said well if you work with us we can minimize the weeds. I said you want us to continue to pay for our yard that you have completely destroyed. His tone with me was very condescending so I called my husband at work and he wanted to talk to ***. When my husband got on phone his tone changed and he asked my husband how can we make it right and he is trying to fix it. He told us that he would talk to his boss and get back with us. They told us they would give us a discount and reseed our front yard for $60 in OCTOBER. I am very *** because my front yard was beautiful and we paid for a landscaping package when we got our house built to have a different type of grass in front. MY YARD IS RUINED and I have to pay money to correct it because I took the advice of your tech who clearly didn't know what he was doing. We were also told by *** that we didn't have a pre emergent sprayed down and that fescue is very sensitive to certain types of weed sprays. So if that was the case why was the suggestion given to do our front yard knowing we needed these things or the spray could hurt our fescue? We also called numerous times to say we weren't satisfied but received a collection notice for the last treatment. I WOULDNT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY TO ANYONE. There is nothing to do because our yard is now ruined and they dont want to take responsibility for it. Definitely need to talk to women better and don't talk down to them.

Service and billing
I had Fairway Lawns service two different yards for me, mine and my dad’s. After the first service I had to call to get them to get both lawns serviced again after almost 2 months. I also requested that my dads 1940 Cheltenham lane services to be done on a Friday so I could get to my father’s on the weekend to water it. I called and emailed at least two...

Front lawn got ruined by chemicals/fertilizer applied by the company. Backyard lawn is healthy where the company didn't treat. It seems like they either used the wrong chemicals or applied the correct ones in the wrong amount. The front lawn has dead spots and brown patches where the grass is clearly sick. On the other hand, the backyard is green and lush without any treatment whatsoever. I haven't used any chemicals on the front lawn since I hired Fairway Lawns.
Fairway Lawns has billed me for services they didn't do
Fairway Lawns has billed me for services they didn't do. I've been using their services for years and every time they come, they leave notices they came and I can see proof of them being there. On March 14, they say they came and treated my lawn but that wasn't true. I've called the company multiple times to try and fix the situation. Today, I finally spoke to a manager who says he came out after my first call and said the yard looked fine. He came after I had cut the grass and evidence of weeds couldn't be seen since the lawn had been cut. I've paid the bill to get them off my back but I shouldn't have to pay for services that weren't done.

The technician from Fairway Lawns came to my neighbor's yard on June X XXXX
The technician from Fairway Lawns came to my neighbor's yard on June X XXXX. After finishing, he went to his truck and grabbed a sign and a bill for my yard. He placed the sign in the front yard and the bill on our front door. We have six cameras that can capture even the smallest creatures like chipmunks or cats. Upon reviewing the footage, it was clear that he did nothing in my yard except for putting the sign out and delivering the bill. I called their office to express my dissatisfaction, and the lady assured me that they would follow up. The next day, the technician who serviced my yard called and angrily accused me of lying. Frustrated with their unprofessional behavior, we decided to cancel our contract and tried to reach out to their home office. I paid the bill that was left, but now they are sending me another bill because of the cancellation. I strongly believe that I don't owe them anything else, and in fact, they should refund me for the work they failed to do.

Fairway Lawns ain't keepin' my landscape healthy
Fairway Lawns ain't keepin' my landscape healthy. I've noticed lately that the grass ain't lookin' too good, there's bare spots, grubs, root damage, and weeds growin' wild. The manager ain't botherin' to call me back. And it's a real pain tryin' to get the technician to schedule appointments in advance. They usually just give me a call a few hours before showin' up to treat the lawn. I've asked 'em multiple times to send me email notifications for appointments, but they never do. 'Cause of their lousy service and my lawn lookin' like a mess, I decided to cancel with 'em. Now I'm askin' Fairway Lawns for a full refund of $195.00 for the last three lawn applications this year. But guess what? Yesterday, a Fairway representative told me they don't do refunds. I don't think it's unreasonable to ask for my money back. Clearly, fixin' the damage caused by this company is gonna cost me a whole lot more than a couple hundred bucks, if it's even possible.
