A thief
The store manager named Jessica at the Monticello store stole a phone and when the person came back looking for her phone she lied and stated that it wasn’t there…. All while having her 8 yr old child was there stocking shelves. My phone kept leading me back to that store. She stated that the cameras haven’t been working for over a mth. I will be making a police report and I may go as far as reporting to the news station about the kind of people you have working in your establishment and get in touch with the good government people to inform them of the abuse of child labor laws.😉
Desired outcome: Hire better folks.

I downloaded and clipped the $5.00 off coupon that is good only on Saturdays when you spend $25.00. Store # 10404 300 West Main St. Conway NC 27820. I am so very sorry I can not give you either associates name as they did not have on name tags. There was a issue that it didn't take off the $5.00 so I asked if he the cashier would call a manager. She came up with a HUGE attitude. Line was backed up probably 10-12 deep. Needless to say I didn't get my discount and was totally embarrased with the smart things that came out of her mouth directed to me. I will drive an hour to get what I need rather then go back in that store. They are currently building a Dollar General and I can't wait. I have lived in this area for over 6 years and have complained several times about this store. I am white and all they have ever hired were black people that are very racist. Not only that they will never ever allow anyone to use their restroom. Maybe your survey should ask how the workers make you feel. Worst customer service ever. Please fix this. I was shopping at 12:03:15 On August 13th 2022.

I went to the Family Dollar to grab some quick items and was told to put my purse in my car or else the police would be called on me.
How are you suppose to shop without your purse.
So every customer that comes into the store with a purse is considered a thief!
Then threaten as if I done something wrong for the police to be called.
Since I was not treated as a valued paying customer I will no longer shop at Family dollar.
Walmart does not treat paying customers that way.
I was at the store in Louisville, Ky Preston Hwy near the corner of Outer Loop.
That's is just crazy to come to any paying customer in that form.

The store at 3612 S Carrollton Avenue, New Orleans is poorly maintained. The floors are not clean, the coolers have dried spills, and the store is often just plain dirty. Trash cans on the outside of the store are not emptied on a regular basis. They are often overflowing to the sidewalks which are not swept. The area is generally an eyesore. The entrance door was recently damaged during a break in, and crime is a constant problem at this store. Some residents don't feel safe. I have visited your stores in other neighborhoods, and they are comparatively much better maintained
This store serves a poor neighborhood that really needs a full-service grocery store and would prefer to have one. We care about our community and will not continue to stand by and accept this kind of disrespect. The store and the area around store must be maintained to provide a descent shopping experience. Staff at the store is not properly trained and there is a need for security. These are issues that are standard in most neighborhoods. Store Manager of #7519 in Clinton Township, Michigan
Around 11:00 a.m. on August 11, 2022, I went into this store to purchase a few items. Sam, the store manager was berating a store employee as I walked in. She had been called to the front to speak with another customer who apparently did not have the right slip to return an item. She was rude, abrupt and irritated. That poor employee was yelled at for no good reason, and humiliated in front of a long line of customers. Another employee came to the front and was ordered to not waste her time. When I finally go to the cashier I asked if the manager was having a bad day to which she replied that she spoke like that to everyone - shoppers and employers. I told her I felt sorry that she had to work in such a hostile environment and asked for the manager's name. I will not be going back to that store!

Fired for no reason
I was let go from the family dollar store because I ask for a 10min break and the assit manager never liked me from the first place and had always stayed on my back but everyone else took breaks when they wished nothing said, I ask for a ten min after working 4 hours and told no! And if I did then clock out and dont come back I took my break and she came outside with me and tried to fight me in the parking lot, all in my face saying she was going to kick my crippled [censored] and I got let go but she's still there after her actions which is crazy I reported her to the head manager and still nothing happened to her at all i'm not letting this go! Im going to the ceo or whoever because it was so very unfair and shes a lier but as I told the manager the cam has it recorded all they have to do is look! This is for Houston store 6075 on Navigation Boulevard this a complaint is about a manager who had a really horrible attitude he even insulted me this happened about 12:30 August 3rd he refused to charge me the price that was posted so he caught an attitude with me and claimed that I had one and the verbal altercation got very heated but it was something that he had provoked he had insulted me by called me a nobody so he provoked my belligerent behavior. I was just her store holding Manger and just quit on 7/23/2022 do to her trying to make me work with while I was out on medical leave with a note from my doctor and after I filed with Sedwick, and I still haven't received my last paycheck or pay sub I have called multiple times to different people and still haven't gotten anything resolved. cell phone products
I went into the Minot ND Family Dollars store to buy a Verizon cell phone. When i got home i realize i had bought the same phone as i did a year ago at the same store. I went back to return the phone, but the manager would not allow me to do so, because the package was opened. Excuse me, how are you going to know if you like and want the phone if you don't open it up and look at it. The phone had not been activated so i just don't understand why your policy is non returnable, and there should be a sign saying cell phones non returnable. Sorry never again will i do business with the Family dollar branch.
Prices not matching what's in system
I was shopping at your store in Natchez, MS there is a price in front of the item, but when I got to the register the amount was higher. This was unacceptable to me, so I asked for the Manager to get the lower price. Which Ms. Brannon gave her authorization, but I explained I shouldn't have to go thru this as a consumer, there was also items of the 75% off clearance, that had not been changed in the system. Ms Brannon the MANAGER said we can't change the price! This is not making any sense she just changed the price of the above-mentioned item, so why not this item, you are the mgr! Please clarify why she was not able to satisfy a customer?
Desired outcome: That items that are marked clearance be put into the system with the price and discount before signage goes up, this will eliminate confusing, and give the customer a more overall pleasant shopping experience.
shelfs not stock and rudeness to customers
went to Manistique store on Aug.1st, in the am to do shopping when I asked if was any bread I was told it was in the so I asked if he would get me some he said he didn't have time. he was just standing behind the counter, for the last 6 months shelfs have been empty and product all over floor when ask if they have something always told in back and they dont have time to stock. will never shop there again.

The location in Crosbyton Texas is horrible. This location has never had structure and the filthiest location of family dollar stores I've been to. Management needs to be replaced. The location has product everywhere, customers can never find what they're looking for with boxes in isles as well as product or anyone in the store not putting things away. These locations employees go to work in shorts and any kind of clothing, so no dress code enforced at all. Cannot keep staffed and this location. I've Been in management for 12 years plus and this is something i have never seen. corporate needs to take action immediately and clear this location out with new management or close it down. pay rate may be needed raised here to keep employment and to get a good staff in. again this is a store that everyone comes to in town seeing we are such a small town and with it being managed the way it is people in town will travel to dollar general or family dollar in the next towns being about 20 min out.

So I bought a speaker in June at the Family Dollar in Newport Vermont. Got it home, charged it, nothing. The thing was broken right out of the box. So I brought it back with my receipt. So the manager Ron and his 2nd in command Brenda were point blank, rude from the gate. Ron started yelling at me that he wasn't giving me store credit or a refund. He stated it was company policy. Then I stated, "that's [censored]ing stupid" the policy not the manager. So about a month has passed and I came into some money. Well I went in to FD yesterday...Spoke to Ron himself. I apologized for any misunderstanding and explained that I was not calling him [censored]ing stupid but the policy. So I asked Ron, can I spend my money in here? He said absolutely NOT! What he didn't know was I was ready to spend $1000 bucks. He turned it down, real money! What a dumb person! Now I will not going to be spending any money with Family Dollar since your company support these kind of actions. Dumb! But on my way out I did call Ron a [censored]TARD! SO I UNDERSTAND IF I AM NOT ALLOWED IN Family Dollar. I ment what I said! So it is what it is. But if he is treating me like this and I lost $43 bucks on the dead speaker, but your company lost at least $1000 yesterday because of him. He acts like he is the king and no matter what his word is law. Bull, take him down a notch or 2.

Bathroom Cleanliness
Last Wednesday I was in the Zumbrota, MN store and I had to use the restroom. When I first entered, the smell was horrendous and was filthy. The floor had garbage, the toilet paper holder just had rolls sitting on it and not one was placed correctly. The sick was disgusting, it looked like nobody had washed anything in the restroom for many days, if at all. The walls were splashed with dirty water dripping down, the mirror was splashed as well. I was so disappointed and grossed out, I had to leave the store. This is not appropriate for customers to use. The restroom should be cleaned daily or even two times per day, and supplies kept in stock. I would like someone to contact me in regard to this complaint.
I would also like to mention that the shelves are always messy, and things just thrown in random places, items not marked with a price. This store is fairly new and I am not impressed with the upkeep.
Desired outcome: Bathroom needs to be cleaned at the end of the day for sure, and items stocked and placed correctly. All items on the shelf should be priced and someone should be checking the isles for misplaced items.

I actually called to pay a compliment. Unfortunately that has soured me so much I will never shop at any Family Dollar again. I called the corporate office. Nobody was available. That's a strike right there. It put me through to a voice mail, then told me the voice mail was full and no message could be left. What kind of unprofessional company doesn't even check its own voice mail, after having nobody available to answer their calls on top of that? I hit "0," and was on hold for 6-7 minutes. Finally a woman answered. I asked her if I had reached customer service and she said something totally unrelated. I asked her if she would answer my question and she hung up on me. I called back and the same process happened; except after getting the full voice mail and hitting "0," and being on hold for 5 minutes or so, the phone rang as before, and then I heard as the person sent me back to the automated menu. This happened three times. I tried calling another customer support number and every option just told me to go to the store or go on the website. The website has no way of contacting them or providing any kind of feedback at all. No email address, no form, nothing. It's obvious that Family Dollar's opinion is that they don't want to be bothered with you, and if you find a way to call them, they will simply hang up on you and then ignore any subsequent calls from that number. It's pathetic that I intended to actually pay a compliment, and instead I'm so angry at this level of rudeness, ineptness, incompetence, and general disinterest in their customers that I will simply not shop there again. And sorry to the kind individual at the local store whom I wanted to put a compliment in for; sadly, your company is run by nasty individuals who don't care about you or their customers.

There is a violent worker at my local Family Dollar. He was talking about how some kids who were in the store should be "dead in an ally way with people walking by their rotting corpses," and that the next time they came in he was going to "beat the @$%@ out of them". He was shaking he was so mad and was red in the face. Several customers and I locked eyes and whispered that we were unsettled by him. I told the manager it was upsetting. She let me know that she informed her superiors, but nothing has changed as of yet. She was close to tears, and I believe she is frightened, too. I am a nurse and was and EMT. This employee showed signs of mental health problems. He needs some help, and is a loose cannon who I believe will harm someone. I haven't been back to that store out of fear. I can't imagine having to work with a violent person like that. I worry about the manager, too. I've attempted to contact Family Dollar about this several times, with no luck.
Desired outcome: Either mental health support for the employee, or removal from customer contact so he doesn't harm someone.
