Sam must be delusional if he/she thinks the Lady Lake, Florida franchise is in anyway fantastic. Appointment times mean nothing, waited 45 minutes before giving up hope of ever being seen. The manager just called form the 9567 University, Unit D3, Highlands Ranch, CO 80126 branch and offered for me to come in and they would wash and style my hair. Seems to me she could offer a reimbursement on my haircut. I told her no I have styled it the way I want it the way it was styled yesterday looked like a mans hair style. Does this look like an 1 1/2" was taken off or more?

I was in to get my haircut today at 9567 S. University, Unit D3, Highlands Ranch, CO [protected]). The Stylist name was Zary. I asked her to cut off an 1 1/2" and showed her a picture of (adele arakawa) how I wanted it styled. She disregarded my request and proceeded to cut 6" off instead.
I think it looks awful right now. I even told I wanted to get my hair permed in three to six weeks. You would think that she would have taken that as a clue to leave my hair longer then she did! This is the first time I have had any trouble with this location and a stylist not listening to my request. She did not even take the clippers and trim off the hairs on my neck.
I will be spending more money at a better hair salon to get my hair permed and cut from now on.
going from black to brown
I know going from black to brown is a process, and I'm willing to go along with that and pay whatever needs to be paid to get it done. I walked in to Fantastic Sams by my house and when I told the lady what I wanted she quickly shut me down and said she would not help me. "We don't do that here". So called hair stylist. I will not be returning to any fantastic Sams in the near future. Never have I met a hair stylist that didn't want to work with me. HORRIBLE.

Carpinteria, CA Fantastic Sams ruined my 10 year goal and dream to donate my hair to Childhood Leukemia Foundation today in one second. I explained to the lady what I was doing and how the hair needed to be prepped and cut for mailing. She said yes they could do that. A man was combing my hair and I also explained to him the preparation for the hair. He said we need to clip the dead ends. I knew they would have to. I told him I allowed one and a half inches for dead end trim and it would leave my hair just below shoulder length after the 10 inch requirement. The next thing I know he cut and held my hair up ( dead end included ) and said, " that's about 10 inches ". I wanted to cry. I asked him what had he done?! My hair wasn't dried, he didn't put a pony tail holder, and braid my hair! The cut was to be above the ponytail holder. The foundation I wanted to donate to, as well as many others, give specific instructions for hair prep, cut and mailing. In one cut he crushed my dreams. How can I explain something to both people, they both acknowledge they can do it, and then chaos?
bad service at the christmas season.
I went to Fantastic Sam's recently only to find a shortage of staff working during the Holiday's. They had no one at the desk to manage the customer's walking in, and many other's customer's were complaining they had their dye's on for too long. I was in the Fantastic Sam's in Shakopee, MN for 4 hours as I got my hair highlighted, even though it doesn't look it. I want a refund for the lousy dye job!

When I called to make an appt at the Fantastic Sams on East Bay Dr in Largo, FL I was put on hold for over 6 Min. When I tried to call back, the line was busy 12 times. Finally I was able to make an appt for the next day. When I was asked if I'd been to that location before & said no, there was a huge sigh. I arrived 15 Min early to find that someone had called off so I would have to wait 45 Min. This was unacceptable. They hadn't gotten my phone number (because they sighed), so they couldn't notify me. We planned our whole day around this appt. I know that sounds silly, but it's true.

Got hair razor cut today for the first time by this cutter and he was incredibly rough and clumsy. His large razor seemed to have a sharp edge on it which was very uncomfortable and then he sliced my cheek with his small razor again because he wad pushing hard without any finesse. Its unfortunate because 2 weeks ago I got a great cut by the lady working that day which is why i went back. I'll definitely be looking through the window to see who's working next time before i go in - if i go back.

I went to the salon located in corydon, indiana on saturday, sept 23rd. My stylist name was kristen. I told her i wanted highlights and wanted to blend in with my natural haircolor. I told her specifically that i did not want bleach on my hair. About midway thru tbe stylist next to us went to go mix more color for her client. My stylist said to her "can you mix me up some more bleach?" I said "so you put bleach on my hair?" She said "yeah, but dont worry. It will be fine. I wont fry your hair". I got mad but ot was too late cause she already did half my hair. I didnt want to cause a scene. I expressed my displeasure to her and she said bleach looks better anyway. I called the manager ken yesterday to tell him how bad my hair looks and how unhappy i am. He said i could come in and he would color my hair again. I dont have time for that as i am going out of town with a terrible hairdo to boot! I want my money back. Needless to say if fantastic sams doesnt make this right i will not be a customer anymore. I will pay extra in the futurr to go to a high end salon where their stylists honor their clients wishes. I expressed this to ken and he said he would get back with me. Of course no surprise that didnt happen.

I've been going to Fantastic Sams in Lady Lake, Florida, for well over a year and have been very satisfied. I needed to have my hair colored and styled and wasn't able to go to Lady Lake, so on 9/20/17 I went to the Ocala salon on Hwy 200. I called ahead and put myself on the wait list at 5:00 . I told them over the phone that the Lady Lake salon had the color formula and that I didn't want to change. They said they would call and get the formula so when I arrived they would have it. This didn't happen. I arrived at 5 and waited about 15 minutes for a stylist, her name is Dusty. She took me to her styling area and asked me what I wanted to do. I told her that I was a regular customer at the Lady Lake salon and that we needed to call for the color formula. She seemed put out, indicating she didn't have phone number. I found the number for her and she called and obtained the formula. I tried to tell her twice what I wanted, but she kept going to the front and answering phones and signing in customers as they arrived. I told her that it had been a few months since I had my hair styled and that I wanted her to take at least an inch off. She argued with me, saying I didn't even need a cut and my hair was perfect the way it was. I thanked her and said I still wanted a good amount cut and wanted a stacked cut instead of layers. She argued about that, as well, indicating my cut was fine the way it was. She had a hard time with the math when she was mixing the formula and had to ask for help from one of the other stylists. While I was waiting for the color to set, I looked through some stylist books and found 2 cuts I liked. She said they were way too short and that she didn't even know why the receptionist had scheduled me at 5 for a color and cut. She cut one inch off the back and left the rest alone. I feel like I paid good money and didn't get anything that I asked numerous times for. By this time, because of interruptions and smoke breaks, it was well after 7 pm and I didn't feel comfortable asking her to redo the style. She gave me the impression that she wanted to do the least amount of work possible and that I was an inconvenience. Additionally, her hands were VERY shaky. This is due to a health condition that she told me she has. By this time, I didn't feel safe with her cutting my hair, paid my bill and left. Very unsatisfied!

9-9-2017 I went to a fantastic sams salon in Kamehameha Shopping center in Kalihi for full highlights. Long story short after I got my hair done I left the salon. I got home and noticed that on the right side of my head there's a bald spot of missing hair. So I went back to the store and explain to the workers why I came back. And their excuse is that oh it happens to a lot of people and that spot is not from us. It was there when you came in and I thought you already knew about that's why I didn't say anything before I started working on your hair. But you should go see a doctor to get the medicine for your hair loss. This is total [censored] because first of all I know my hair and I always make sure it's all good. I check my hair on a daily for uku's and always wash it. And never did I see this spot. I've never had a scar that big on my head. All I want is to refund my money I spend. They said it can't be from the chemical but I didn't say it was from the chemical, my hair must've burned when I was sitting under that hair dryer thinging for about 10 minutes. I even had to remove my head from under that because the person that helped me was doing another customers hair while I'm waiting for her. I didn't even get her name she didn't introduce herself to me. I'm really mad at the fact that they try to cover their mistake instead of owning up to it and correct the wrongs. I am never going back to another Fantastic Sams salon. This is a real bad experience. I have a photo of the spot on my head that is bald. I will send it to whoever if they want proof. And if someone contacts me I have a lot of questions to ask. I want my full refund, I paid with credit card.

Bought a gift certificate for mother on christmas, she used once, leaving a balance of $36.50. When mother went to get haircut at dracut office, doors were closed and no further information given. I demand the balance of $36.50 for the balance of my certficates.

On 8/18/17 I took my 10 year old daughter to Fantastic Sams at Cliff Rd Eagan MN to bleach her hair. She wanted ombre but I told her it will probably be a lot more expensive than just bleaching the tips in a strait line. I asked the lady how much it is to do an ombre bleach of most of my daughter's long hair, and she said she will ask someone else. I explained again to Lady number two, and she said: "It starts at $100". I asked what would it cost to just bleach only the tips in a straight line, and she said: "It starts at $100". This surprised me so I exclaimed: "A $100?!" Apon which Lady number two spoke harshly to me saying: "Don't raise your voice at me. If you yell at me again I will ask you to leave". I said: "I'm sorry, I didn't think I was yelling. I am just surprised". Then she said she will get the manager, still very unfriendly towards me and without apologizing. While we waited my daughter asked if we can please just leave. So we left. My daughter was very upset and cried. I called and spoke with the manager. I asked her to send my daughter a letter of apology. The letter never arrived. This is a disgrace for Fantastic Sams

I stopped by a FS in riverview Fl. I made an appointment with a women named Carla .we talked for over 15 minutes about hair colors my options and I showed her several photos from Pinterest . My hair had been colored in April I had a base color with some foils, I had new growth 3-4inches . I explained to her that I would prefer to go darker, and definitely not reds or golds. During the processing I realized there were chunks that she did not have color on they did not have foil, she had to mix more color to finish the hair she forgot?
She adds color to the chunk of hair hair she forgot and then continues to add more Coloring which turns out to be bleach which I had expressed to her that I did not want to put more blonde highlights . My hair is completely fried it looks horrible . O returned to the store and spoke with a Nicole (manager) I'm crying and she's telling me it's not that bad She's asking if I want her to add more hair color? Im not sure how to resolve the problem. It will take at least 6-12 months for my hair to grow out, the damage is unacceptle and she gives a shampoo and some Keritan spray . I paid $121.00 for the coloring Completely devistated by this experience

I went to get a touch up an hour and a half before they close and they can't take me because that is not enough time for a touchup. Itis absolutely disappointing how they have an hour and a a half and won't take me. When I have been a customer for so long. I will never come back. I have my whole family get their haircuts there I will never use a fantastic Sams again. This is the second time they do thins to me.
I typically get a touch up that takes about 45 min max. I didn't want a blow dry and style.

Just wanted to let you know that I really like your Fantastic Sams location in Chisago. However I was there getting some product I had some rewards points in the past... I was trying to work it out with Ashley Lang.. she wasn't working with me said that my rewards points have expired... would not give me my discount that I earned when I was there last time getting my hair done .. I feel she was not customer friendly and should have given me a discount on my shampoo and conditioner I was buying from that Fantastic Sams location. Which I did do the liter sale. caught my daughters hair on fire.
Took my daughter in Fantastic Sams in Mt. Pleasant Pa and the girl Kara started putting foils in and the were smoking so bad. She finally took them out and a ton of hair fell out . He hair is so burnt and damaged then Kara blew it dry and flat ironed it. I'm not a hairdresser but I know not to put more heat on it. So more feel out. My daughter cried the whole time and the charged us $137.00 and won't give us our money back or try and compensate us in any way.

I have never received any acknowledgment to date (7/31/17) - I also contacted Ms. Chadwick CEO via Linked in to ask the appropriate personnel look into my complaint; also no response to date- this is a triple FAIL at this point. I will start sharing this in as many social venues as possible so that others don't end up in this same position.

I dropped my just turned 14 year old daughter off for a trim, clean up the split ends and asked if they could do a braid as she was having a school picture taken. Helen told to come back in 1 hour, 30 minutes later my Lauren called to say she was ready.
Lauren’s hair was a disaster, I was a bit shocked when I saw the ridiculous attempt at side curls that only resembled payot’s as the rest of her hair was pulled tight to her head. Reluctantly at my request the hairdresser pulled those up and pinned them into the rest of her hair reminding me of the inconvenience to do this as she was in the middle of a foil.
Upon checking out I was presented with a bill of $72! I thought Helen (who checked us in and was now checking us out) had said $32 – which is about what seemed appropriate (haircut and a bit extra for the braid). I handed her a $50 and she kept looking at me and said $72 – I was in disbelief, and questioned the amount; Helen has a very heavy Asian accent and was difficult to understand so I wanted to be sure I heard it correctly. I was told that the sloppy braid was an “up do” and that was $55! I told Helen this was ridiculous, I was not happy and she should have told me that I would be charged almost 4 times more than what I typically would pay when I left Lauren.
Helen was not accommodating in any way – I am a fair person and I suggested a solution; I would pay the $72 but wanted a certificate/credit to come back at a future date for a real “up do” – not this BS braid. Helen was argumentative, defensive and not willing to offer any alternatives to fix the hair. I paid the $72 and left with my very embarrassed daughter.

first haircut
Took my one year old daughter in to get her hair trimmed, it's uneven and looks terrible. Told the lady I wanted it tapered to frame her face and it's just terrible. The sides are totally uneven and where her bangs are growing out (where I wanted it to be tapered) is like straight across and way shorter than the rest... And she was having an attitude and shaking her head at me every time I asked her to fix something. I understand it's hard to do littles, but my girl was sitting pretty nice for a 1 yr old. Didn't bother asking her to fix it anymore as she seemed very annoyed with me. Now I need to pay to have her hair fixed. And my daughters hair will be way shorter than I wanted. Not happy at all.

I went to the one in st peters mo..3 ppl were waiting over a half hr cause a women named christy was on phone... They had left I stayed and got called we were joking around and end result she told me to leave and not to come back.. I have never been asked to leave from getting a haircut in my 52 yrs on earth... false advertising
I got a coupon for $35 all over color (1 color) at my local grocery store (HEB) and when I got to the salon, they would not honor it. However, I have had two of the same coupon in the past and they WERE taken. This time the girl said it was only for short hair. My hair is just past my shoulders so it was going to start at $65. I told her that I had used the same coupon in the past and she started talking about working on commission. (what's that got to do with anything?) I said well, if you honor this coupon, your tip will be very nice. She said she could not do it. I left and will never go back. This is false advertising. I will be happy to give you a copy of my coupon (added below). The owner was IN the shop (i saw her when i first got there but she was in the back when i was talking with the stylist) but she never came out to help!
