Financeit's customer service is a total joke
Financeit's customer service is a total joke. They messed up and now I gotta pay a $50 late fee. I'm gonna pay it off quick so I don't gotta deal with their *** again.
Financeit is tryna get me to pay for a loan I never even asked for
Financeit is tryna get me to pay for a loan I never even asked for. I owed some money to a window guy, and somehow Financeit got ahold of my personal deets, which was stolen by some shady person. Then, they went ahead and took money outta my bank account without my say-so. Not cool, Financeit. Not cool at all.
I went with Financeit to finance my new windows from *** in Dartmouth, NS
I went with Financeit to finance my new windows from *** in Dartmouth, NS. The window company took forever, like 8 months, and still didn't get an appraisal done. Then they canceled it at the last minute for some weird reason. I don't know if these two things are connected, but it's frustrating. Now I have to start all over again to get new windows.
Devon from a local branch helped me apply for a loan with Financeit
Devon from a local branch helped me apply for a loan with Financeit. The loan application process and customer service have been excellent for my needs. I recommend doing business with Financeit. My payment delay starts next January, and I'm optimistic about receiving the same great service as before. Calgary AB.
I bought a hot tub for my mom's place in Sydney NS and financed it through Financeit
I bought a hot tub for my mom's place in Sydney NS and financed it through Financeit. I had to move to Panama but came back when my mom got sick. It's been over 3 years and I still haven't received the hot tub. I've called and emailed Financeit to stop taking money out of my account and return the payments I made. They said they won't give me my money back because it's been too long. I never got anything from them.
I gotta say, my experience with Financeit as a borrower wasn't too great
I gotta say, my experience with Financeit as a borrower wasn't too great. I got approved for a loan with one store, but I didn't end up going through with it. When I tried to use the loan with a different store, they said I had to apply all over again. That meant two hard inquiries on my credit report and a higher interest rate. Not cool.
Their customer service was pretty lousy too. They said they couldn't transfer the loan to a different store, even though they'd still be getting paid either way. And get this - they wouldn't let me cancel the loan with them directly. I had to call each store myself. What a pain in the butt.
Honestly, this is just plain wrong. It's like they're trying to control which store gets my business based on their loan conditions. No matter where I buy from, I should be able to use the same loan approval.
This company messed up big time with a loan my dad had with them
This company messed up big time with a loan my dad had with them. They sent it to a collection agency even though they knew he had passed away and his will was still being sorted out. My mom got a scary letter from the collection agency a few months after he died, so I reached out to Financeit again. They said sorry and that the loan was back with them, and to ignore any more letters from the collection agency. They said to contact them again when the will was sorted to work out a payment plan. But now I found out that the loan never came back and my mom has to pay the whole thing when she gets the inheritance. She doesn't have that kind of money and only has the house she shared with my dad. I'm so mad that Financeit would do this, sending the loan to a collection agency and not taking it back like they said they would. They're a dishonest company with crazy high interest rates. Don't trust them.

So, I got a loan from Financeit and it was all good until I found out that someone else took out a loan under my name without my permission. They even forged my signature on the documents! But Financeit still accepted it and now there's a loan under my name that I didn't even apply for. It's illegal and messed up.

However ComplaintsBoard has detected that:
- While Financeit has a high level of trust, our investigation has revealed that the company's complaint resolution process is inadequate and ineffective. As a result, only 5% of 17 complaints are resolved. The support team may have poor customer service skills, lack of training, or not be well-equipped to handle customer complaints.
- Financeit protects their ownership data, a common and legal practice. However, from our perspective, this lack of transparency can impede trust and accountability, which are essential for establishing a credible and respected business entity.
I don't understand why they keep doing this even though they said the loan was settled
I don't understand why they keep doing this even though they said the loan was settled. It's frustrating and confusing. I've tried calling customer service but it's always busy or I'm on hold for a long time. Overall, my experience with Financeit has been disappointing and I wouldn't recommend them to anyone.
Back in 2016, we got a loan from Financeit
Back in 2016, we got a loan from Financeit. We didn't know they'd charge us 12% interest per day and that almost all of our payment would go to interest, leaving very little for the principal. Now, after 4 years, we still owe $6,500 on a $7,000 loan. I think this company is running a *** business model and it's not right. Loans like this shouldn't be allowed in our country.
So, I had a contract with a certain bank for water well drilling on my land
So, I had a contract with a certain bank for water well drilling on my land. It was for 10 years, but nobody informed me that Financeit company assumed control. Last fall, when I tried to contact the original bank, I was informed that Financeit had taken over the loan. Upon reaching out to Financeit, they explained that the loan's term would be extended by approximately 5 months. They claimed the initial bank had not applied sufficient interest, despite my contract specifying a fixed monthly payment for a decade.
Financeit aided a Mississauga HVAC seller with a high-interest loan to an elderly person
Financeit aided an HVAC seller from Mississauga by providing a high-interest loan to an elderly customer. The seller marketed a water heater valued under $1000 for $4500 to a senior living alone, claiming to represent the utility company and insisting on the need for a new water heater. Financeit approved the loan at a 10.99% interest rate. The senior, lacking the capacity to fully grasp the loan's intricacies without proper guidance, was deceived into paying thousands more than necessary.
They gave me a loan for a metal roof but the roof ain't there
They gave me a loan for a metal roof but the roof ain't there. I'm still paying for nothing. The roofing guys shut down so I gotta talk to these finance peeps. I called them a bunch but they don't call me back or they call me back mad late with no fix. They put a lien on my crib which is messed up. I just need some help fixing this. It's hard and annoying to have no options and no help. They gave 8,000 bucks to a company with no stuff or work done and that's not cool.
We got our roof done in 2019 and we financed it through Financeit for $15843
We got our roof done in 2019 and we financed it through Financeit for $15843. We were told that the interest rate was 8.99% per year and the monthly payment was $160.59. But the interest rate and the monthly interest charges don't match up. We pay $3.70 per day or $117.00 per month, which is about $1,404 per year. Only about $43 goes to the principal. In a letter dated January 03, we were told that our loan is now $15,144.19, which is only $698.25 less than the original amount financed. We think that we were misled about the financing charges and the yearly versus daily rate of interest. The interest rate should be 8.99% per year or $1,424.29 and $118.69 per month. This rate translates into $1927 per year interest and $503 principal drop. We believe that the Contractor and Financeit have overcharged us and misled us.
I got a loan from Financeit last month and they said I didn't pay it and put it in collections
I got a loan from Financeit last month and they said I didn't pay it and put it in collections. Now my credit report is messed up. I always keep my credit good, but now it's bad because of them. They said I paid it and even sent me a letter saying it was all good, but they still messed up my credit. They also changed my interest rate and took forever to get back to me. If you want to know who I talked to, it was Mr. Ross M. and Mr. Alex R. Can you help me fix my credit? Thanks
I got a loan from Financeit to buy a 5th wheel on Aug 11, 2018
I got a loan from Financeit to buy a 5th wheel on Aug 11, 2018. I borrowed $20,299 and my contract has two interest rates. One says 13.49% annual interest rate and the other says 13.81% annual percentage rate. I don't really know what that means. My loan paper says I can pay it down anytime without penalty. I called today to pay it off, but they told me I have to pay $19,728.33. I don't understand how I've only gotten $570.67 credit towards my initial loan when I've paid $9062.78 over 37 months. My calculations say I should have gotten $1146.17 credit. I need help.
I got a loan from Financeit Canada Inc
I got a loan from Financeit Canada Inc. for $20000 and it was supposed to end on Jan 01 2021. I made a payment of over $2000 to a contractor on Dec 23 2021, but it didn't go through before the loan expired. I tried to fix it, but it took a lot of time and effort. The company reopened my loan until Jan 9 2021, and I resubmitted the payment on Jan 2 2021. I was told it would be processed in 5 days, but I didn't get any confirmation. I called again and was told it was processing. But I got an email saying it didn't go through. I asked to speak with a Manager, but didn't get a call. Finally, I spoke with a Manager today and he said it was *** fault. *** said it was Financeit's fault.
I had a loan with financeit
I had a loan with financeit. On February 19, that loan was paid off by a certified check from a dealership by the name of *** for the amount of $37,395.66. The check was sent by *** on February 22. I had a payment of $253.15 coming out on February 26, which financeit took out after my loan was paid out. They told me when they got the certified check and my account was closed, I would get the payment of $253.15 back. *** also told me that they included extra money above the amount left owing on the loan in case I incurred interest charges. I phoned financeit every week for three weeks to ask for the status on the account, and they kept telling me they never received a certified check. Finally, on March 10, I called them once again because I noticed two different deposits in my bank account of $68.79 and $6.54 on March 10. But that did not add up to the payment of $253.15 that I was supposed to get returned to me. When I talked to them about this, they said I had incurred interest charges over the last three weeks, and I would not see any more money back. I told them that the dealership had sent way more money over and above for interest charges so I wouldn't have this problem. I questioned them on it taking three weeks to courier a certified check, and that was a little excessive. I think financeit just held my certified check so they didn't have to pay me the $253.15 back. I think that I am getting treated unfairly, and I would appreciate your help in resolving this issue.
I heard about Financeit when my mom bought a water heater and filter from *** in Goderich Ont in Oct 2021
I heard about Financeit when my mom bought a water heater and filter from *** in Goderich Ont in Oct 2021. The loan was way too high at 13.34% compared to the bank's 7%. The loan agreement was 8 pages long and my mom signed every page twice. It said she had 60 months to pay but then it said 120 months to pay the full amount of $6320.92. I don't understand that part. She bought the items on Nov 2 and they were installed on Nov 5, but the loan date was Oct 27, 6 days before the sale. I don't know who told her to get a loan from Financeit or why she agreed to it when she has enough money in the bank to pay for it 20 times over and only gets 2%. My mom can barely call me and doesn't have a computer. She only pays with cash and can't contact anyone.
I applied for a loan from Financeit in May
I applied for a loan from Financeit in May . I asked for $12-15,000 for 3 months, but they approved me for $30,000 for 6 months. I used the loan for a renovation project in Vancouver. In mid-June, I started using the loan, and in early July, Lance from the fraud department called me. Lance was very rude and didn't let me explain why I had three addresses. He demanded my proof of identity and notice of assessment, which I didn't expect to provide. I made several phone calls and sent emails to Financeit, but Lance kept calling me. I spoke with other people at Financeit, and they were fine, but Lance was terrible. I decided to pay the amount owing in full more than 3 months before the due date and close the account immediately instead of dealing with Lance. Because of Lance, Financeit lost their ability to earn more revenue from my credit due, *** lost business, and my credit score was hurt.
1.) So, I called this guy to fix my AC and furnace 'cause they weren't cutting it in the heat wave
1.) So, I called this guy to fix my AC and furnace 'cause they weren't cutting it in the heat wave. He said he'd buy my old stuff for $750, install a fancy air filter for free (worth $4k, he said), and put in some new outlets. He had a buddy with him who handled the finance part, and I signed up for a loan on his phone. They came the next day to do the work, but didn't finish everything and said they'd come back. They never did. Later, I saw that the air filter was added to the loan even though it was supposed to be free. I called the finance company and my husband texted the guy, who didn't deny it. Then I noticed that a document with my signature on it was forged, so I contacted the finance company again.
2.) I told them what happened and filled out a form they sent me. Then the guy called me saying the finance company cancelled the contract and he wanted his money back. We agreed to swap equipment. After that, I didn't hear from the finance company until December when they threatened me about my credit and collections.
3.) In February, I got an email from a collection agency offering a settlement. But I never got any monthly statements or payment requests, and they've been reporting it as paid and up to date even though I never paid them anything.
4.) Overall, this was a pretty bad experience and I wouldn't recommend them.
I agreed to terms I didn't grasp due to misleading information and incomplete services.
I agreed to terms I didn't grasp, misled by the other party, with services incomplete. My mom wrote this for me with my consent. I've contacted the loan company; they're reviewing it but haven't replied. I owe over 14k without knowing the purpose or terms.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
