I order a cell phone from them on 07/27/2021 and it didn't work, and I sent it back, and copy of the Post office statement, they claim that they didn't receive the phone, we tracked the phone, and someone at Fingerhut got it, so I kept calling they sent me affidavit to to fill out, I did and I didn't hear anything from them again, they tell me that I need to fill out another affidavit, I ask what happen to the first one, they never answered me, and they never sent another, they told my account was sold to another company, and I'm still making payments to Fingerhut.

I want them to send me my overpayment for 358.22
On Aug.16th, 2021 there was an over payment made to my Fingerhut Account for 358.22. I called them when I received the statement, and requested my refund, overpayment to me at my new address, account #[protected]/ and my customer # is [protected]. They told me Vic was the person that I spoke with that I had to email them my social security card, state ID, and 2 utility bills to prove that I am Margaret Gomez. I asked to speak with her supervisor and she told me he was busy, and will my call the next day on. On 10/28 he did not return my call and I called them. The automated system requested the last 4 #s of my SS#, and I entered the valid #, the system said this is not a valid #, and they hung up on me.

I have been paying monthly for this Safeline Insurance that Fingerhut offers as protection against any hardship. I had surgery in late July and I signed up for help filled out paperwork sent in paperwork from my job and my doctor and they were still asking for proof of employment. My disability paperwork from the job is proof of employment. It states when my leave started and when my leave ends. This is just another way to scam hard working people out of more money.
Desired outcome: Do what they promise and help people so that we don't get swallowed up by debt just because we're sick. laid off or in some other crisis or hardship.
A set of two dash cams
I recently added a set of 2 dashcams to my account & received them today with them being damaged/defective.. I called customer service & was told they were going to replace my order but it would take 3weeks, which I don't understand why it would take that long when it didn't just recently & seeing as how it was damaged due to the delivery service they used, they should make it right for me because this is now on my credit & I'm being billed for this but cannot get use out of it... Furthermore I have been trying to call customer service back & they have my number restricted or whatever & I can't access customer service online for some reason either... I want this issue resolved or else I am not only canceling my account but I am contacting BBB FTC... This [censored] is ridiculous.

Late payment
I set my account up for automatic payments and thought I was all set. Payments were coming out of my account and paid as agreed. Than payments stopped, and before I realized it I was charged a 30 day late payment. Called fingerhut for explanation and they informed me I had to reenroll for automatic payment. So I paid off the balance and asked them to removed late payment to which they refused.

Purchased item
I purchased a beautiful comforter in March. I was redoing my bedroom for the last time. I have severe copd so this is it fir me. I opened the comforter on August 1 and followed directions to wash it in warm water on large load and dried it on low. It MELTED and when I shook it out to fold it, the comforter ripped down the melted area. Now I am stuck with a horrible comforter because they won't do anything but give me a $30 credit. The comforter is $200! All I asked was to replace it and I would send this one to them to see it. The problem is, they are refusing to replace it. Since I don't have a whole lot of time left they will win. Don't buy from these people. They don't back up their products. Sadly, Valerie.

Had a credit account with this terrible excuse for a company just to build credit. They make you buy items to keep your credit limit or they take the limit away. I had a security breach were I needed to change debt cards so 1 payment was not being processed. They immediately put a 30day late on my credit for a 22 dollar payment. Never called to let me know. Not email or anything. They are refusing to take it off. They charge outrageous amounts for common items. I bought a watch that broke in a week for 270. Was online for 68 bucks new. Got ripped and credit screwed. This company prays on people with less then great credit. Do yourself a big favor and stay away

Product return
I ordered a hp laptop in order to meet the requirements of a remote position for which I applied. After receiving the laptop, the company sent me the required scan of the device to make sure it met the minimum requirements. It failed every category. Since that was my motivation for the purchase, I got it prepared to return as I am within my 30 days...Actually within my first week. I followed the "easy return" instructions only to find them not so easy.
I called and spoke with a gentleman named patrick. He said I didn't have the option of reprinting the packing slip due to the fact my item is not eligible for return. How? I am not past my 30 days? "that item is for exchange only of the exact same item due to defect. It is not available for return." I read to him verbatim from the website the return policy. He explained that was incorrect and read me another version. I explained my situation and offered to show him the results of the scan. He said it was irrelevant because the item cannot be returned. With the website policy in hand, I told him I plan on fighting it. He then said "I will make a 1 time exception. You may return it. I will send the label you will have it within an hour."
At 5:30 pm (hour and a half later) still no return label. I called back the lady said it was sent. I told her I checked every email in box I have and it was not received. I gave her an alternate email address. She said I would have it within an hour.
At 6;45 pm I called back because it still was not received. This representative told me that it takes 24 hours to receive a return label and that after I receive the email I have to wait an hour before opening. I told her that was the most insane procedure I ever heard. She said give it 24 hours and then a hour and I will have my return label.
So, still no return label. A laptop I cannot use and my concern is they upon receipt (giving I ever get it shipped back) they inspect it and then determine if I owe for shipping and how much of a refund I will receive. I packaged up the laptop in the exact packaging it arrived and I even added extra pdding for it's safe journey. I am not confident at all that I will receive a full refund given the issues I have already faced. This return has been a nightmare.

Bought a meat smoker from Fingerhut. The box was destroyed during delivery. Also the smoker is damaged. Been waiting for them to send someone to pick up the product and to ship a new one. Since then the price has gone up around 200.00 dollars and they want to charge me the new price. Customer service absolutely sucks there and it seems that the do not want to do their jobs.
Faulty product
I bought a drone specifically for the automatic return home feature (so I would never have to worry about losing it)which will cause it to return home if it loses connection with the remote (which isn't supposed to happen untill it reaches appx. 300 meters. However) two doors down it lost connection and instead of returning home; it took off at speed in the opposite direction never to be seen again. Then for some reason the gps tracker was tracking was NOT thanking the drone but instead the the remote, whick was in my hands! What kind of ridiculous crap is that. So I was sold a product that had features to keep it from getting lost which did NOT work AT ALL which CAUSED it to GET LOST and because I don't have it in my possession they will NOT cover it.

Deduction of $14.00 monthly payment on an item that was returned

Unethical Behavior
I placed an order on 12/27/2020, but once I received the item it was not as expected. I returned the item immediately. At the post office, the clerk said I didn't need to add shipping and postage as it was already included in the return. I then receive a collection item on my credit report March 2021 stating I had a late payment. Now this is ridiculous, sent to collections over a $7 shipping fee. I called and they said I have to write a letter to dispute. I write and send the letter and they say they didn't receive it. This happened twice over the course of two months. Each time I call someone says we haven't received it, send again. Each person I've talked to (almost 10 at this point) has given me different information about my dispute. I received a letter stating I agreed to their terms and conditions when I applied to be a member. I asked for a copy, they state they don't have a copy. I have been with the company for over 10 years and have never been late! It's so disturbing.

Both chair backs are horribly put together. Both chairs are sewn very poorly. I am 100% dissatisfied with them. It looks like a child sewed these. Ive been a customer for a very long time. I can not send these back... Box thrown away and I dont think I should have to do this. Very poor quality of merchandise. The leather on the chair backs are coming apart and the stiches is being pulled apart.

Worst customer service ever! Don't call them unless you want your time wasted. 1hour and 25 minutes later after speaking with representative number 16 on the same day. Jean employee id #79178 was very rude and impatient, so unprofessional. She was speaking as if I called her personal contact line to harass her or something. I wanted and need the help that I did not receive. Ms.Jones employee id #216 just rubbed off my situation with a humourous attitude as if I liked calling their company just for fun. I have paid my account in full but I will NEVER buy anything from that site again. They were also mad at the fact I had a promo code, I had the credit, and money to make the purchase and kept declining the same card I used to make the Fingerhut payments on. I was told sometimes they don't accept some cards, I guess they only accept all cards for payments only. This company is a joke and a scam. They only want to benefit from your name and SS.
Never received refund. Now being double charged with late fees.
On 2/1/2021 Fingerhut took 261.01 off my card. The payment was not
scheduled. I contacted Fingerhut once I noticed I received overdraft
fees from my bank. I explained to Fingerhut that I did not authorize
the transaction and requested a refund. The Fingerhut representative
verbally granted me the refund minus the next minimum payment due .
Fingerhut told me that they would send me the remaining balance of
$223.01. They also told me it would take 1-5 business days for the
money to be credited to my debit credit. I called back
after I did not receive my funds and they told me I had to wait 30
business days. I called back again after 35 business days and they
told me it should show on card in a few days. I called back again
after not receiving any refund, and they requested that I send in 30
days of my bank statements for the month of February. I sent bank
statements on 3/30. I kept calling to make sure they received what
they needed. I had my bank representative called to verify that the
refund was never received. FIngerhut insisted that they refunded my
money to my debit credit card although the bank
representative told them that they had not. Currently, FIngerhut is
stating I owe them 261.01 plus a late fee.
My bank is stating they never received the refund from Fingerhut.
Fingerhut is stating they refunded my funds to debit card.
I am out of 261.01 and now Fingerhut states I owe 261.01 plus a late
fee- a double payment. I have been ripped off and robbed of my hard
earned money!

Customer service
On May10, 2021, I placed an order with your company . I continued searching for a cheaper price on other websites and I did find the same thing but at a cheaper price so I called customer service within the hour of placing the order for a refund and it was no problem getting it the problem was it was never credited back to my debit card in fact it was put as a credit on my fingerhut account. I was not informed of that and I kept looking on my debit card account for the refund. I called fingerhut customer service on May 12 th, 2021 to speak to someone who could fix this and it was not fixed but the company refunded the money to me but it was sent out in the form of a company check. Once again I was not informed about this and I was told twice that it was be put back on my debit card well its now been 9 days and no check and no one to fix this issue.
I can definitely tell you this and I will never ever do business with fingerhut again. I have never in my years of dealing with the public or companies have been treated so poorly and disrespected as a human being to be treated like I was stupid and had no knowledge of how a business is run.

On March 4, 2021, I placed furniture order #ORD0107917995, which, among other pieces, included a Venetian Worldwide Landis 5-Pc Dining Set.
On March 15, the table arrived but the four matching chairs were lost in shipment. I emailed Fingerhut, and they assured me I would receive the four matching chairs within three weeks. I received four chairs a couple of weeks later, but they are countertop chairs and useless with a dining table.
I again emailed Fingerhut and explained that I received the wrong chairs and asked that they pick up the dining table and countertop chairs at their cost and credit my account. Fingerhut again assured me that I would receive the correct chairs within another three weeks.
On May 13, not having received the chairs or any communication from Fingerhut, I sent another email requesting that they pick up the two boxes of countertop chairs and the dining table and credit my account for everything, including shipping. I also stated in the email that due to the heavyweight and large size of the two countertop chair boxes, we had no choice but to leave the boxes on our living room floor, and at 65 and 73 years old, the boxes are a constant threat to our ability to move about.
As of today, May 20, Fingerhut has not responded to my May 13 email.
Desired outcome: Pick up of the 4 chairs and full credit for the table, chairs and shipping
So typical of a company who has been around for a lot of years to treat people like their needs are so unimportant and they didn't matter. I'm so sorry you have to go through this.
Unauthorized charges SafeLine for over 5 years.
As anyone filed a complain with FTC, CFPB or any other Federal authorities? I just noticed the same issue and it is in every statement that they are charging 1.2% of outstanding balance in every monthly statement. That really is a case. Any attorney anyone can recommend? I have not clicked into anything asking me to enroll into SafeLine activities and this is a deceptive practice they are doing with every customer. I will go through my statements to see what is the amount they owe me which I have paid for SafeLine.
