I have used this app for a few years now. I find it very helpful, love the live tracking of the plane.

Gorgeous; faster than TripIt
Long-time TripIt user but I've made the jump. Great design, and the alerts/info are consistent and fast.
Delayed flight
Tried it for the first time. Flight was delayed by 20+ minutes and it didn’t catch it. Not impressed.
Best app I have bought in years
Very few purchases have delivered quite like this app has. As a frequent flyer, I find it indispensable.
Great app
As a frequent traveler my only regret is that I didn’t find this sooner. It is very helpful in many ways.
Best flight tracker
I see why so many professional aircrew members use this app - super accurate, fast and precise. Not a toy.
Quite good
My mom wanted me to get it and it was Christmas so instead of plane it was Santa. Truly a piece of art. 5/5
Well worth it
Of all the flight tracking apps out there, this is the best!
Clean UI, Timely Updates.
Worth every penny!
Best app ever
I travel three / four times a week and this app makes my life a lot easier in todays crazy world of travel.
Love it
The app gives an awesome real-time view of the flight that's BETTER that what you see on the plane itself...
Why would I pay for premium?
When my wife’s flight EWR>DEN Was showing being diverted to COS and she called me from the runway in Denver.
Love it
I have used many flight tracking apps and have been disappointed. I believe this one will be the exemption.
No gate info
Really like this app and even paid for pro version. However, none of the flight I’ve been on had gate info :(
Great for travelers!
Love the ability to track my flights and my friends and family’s flights. Also love the calendar integration.
So many nag screens
Almost unusable these days. Developers chose to place Pro adds as pop-ups every single time you open the app.
Tina Turner of Apps
Simply the best. Has made trip tracking and information consolidation much easier. Worth the cost to upgrade.
Awesome app
This is really a great app…does exactly what it claims it will and really well. Definitely worth the money!
Killer App
If you travel frequently, this app is a necessity. It tells me everything I need to know in one place. Amazing
Flighty Complaints 12
Negative customer experience
I was a paying subscriber until I noticed that Flighty had me blocked from viewing their company Twitter account (which I was searching for because I had a question that wasn’t answered on their website). I reached out to their customer support which refused to engage with me, beyond explaining the reason why:
The founder of Flighty made a controversial statement about workplace practices on his *personalTwitter account (which was bad enough for him to delete later), and I had replied saying his view was “disappointing.”
And apparently that’s all it takes for this company to block you from their *companyaccount on Twitter and refuse to engage with support emails you might send.
It’s really troubling that the company would take these measures against a paying customer based on one small critique levied against their founder. It really makes you feel unwanted as a customer, so I’ll go support an app that’s more inclusive.

Stay away from it - not suitable for primetime
TL;DR version: could be a good and somewhat useful app, but it’s not working right and support is unwilling to help.
I’m a frequent traveller with about 100 flights and 150-200k miles annually. The stat function in the app is a nice way of keeping track of your travels. However, when importing all my trips from TripIt, it showed negative 400k in flight hours for 2019. I contacted support and they told me it’s a problem with the data suppliers. They were unwilling to figure out which flight had corrupted data and wanted me to go through all the flights myself and find the flaw (on an iphone and not even knowing exactly what to look for).
When I told them I wasn’t willing to pay for a service that literally wants me to do their work, they seemed happy with themselves and that was the end of it.
The kids really need to grow up. I mean, it’s like calling a plumber to fix your broken toilet. The guy then takes the money and walks away without fixing anything, blaming the toilet manufacturer for poor quality. And that’s exactly what they did. In other words: if you have to go through a manual process yourself, you might as well put all your data in a spreadsheet and spend 50 bucks on something fun.
Or spend the money on TripIt Pro. Have been using it for years and never had any problems... Also, with the airline apps getting better every year, there’s really not that much benefit to an app like Flighty. And if you have a lot of flights, it needs to be an automatic process that just works or it just doesn’t make any sense at all.

Dead on Arrival
Update: Developer is aware this app does not work properly. The response below that the developer provided has nothing to do with the issue I was having. I was being blamed for his app not working. So I went back and forth with the developer to prove to him that his app does not properly update flight information. He was happy to respond as long as he thought the problem was on my end. The moment I sent him screenshots and proof that his tracking app was not working he just stopped responding.
Run away from this app. It does not work. Original review below and ignore developer response.
I am not impressed with this app or customer service. My intention was to subscribe to this app that was receiving heralding reviews fro just about everyone. However, after using the initial trial that allows you to track your first flight, I am not impressed. Almost a week ago, United sent me an email about an itinerary change to one of my flights. Flighty hasn’t yet updated that information and you would expect that an app that touts itself as “The fastest push notifications, anywhere in the world,” would notify you almost instantly when changes are made to your flight. This app completely failed to do that. Furthermore, I emailed support with a screenshot of my itinerary change and asked why the app didn’t update the information days later? No response from the developer. From reading other reviews it seems the developer is aware of issues and choosing not to respond to inquiries. So, this app for me is dead on arrival. I am going to look at one of the other highly-rated flight tracking apps instead.

5 stars before the notification abuse
Flighty was granted permission to send time sensitive notifications that break through focus modes so I could track my family’s flight. After I intentionally canceled the subscription they started using those same notifications to spam me when 24 hours were left as well as when it expired, exactly. This had the opposite effect of what they intended - I’ll look for a different tracker which may not be as fancy or well integrated but respects me as a customer.
Annoying push notifications
This app is obsessed with annoying push notifications and pop ups BEGGING you to subscribe. And when you cancel your subscription, you’ll get constant alerts reminding you to re-subscribe. Every time you open the app there’s a pop up ad for subscribing. It’s just way too much. If you’re offering a free app, please allow users to actually use the app unobstructed. Otherwise, just make it paid for all. I canceled my subscription because honestly it was not worth it.
Not worth it
All developer responses to reviews are snarky, argumentative or just rude. Your app users are your CUSTOMERS. Get over yourselves and stop crying about how expensive your servers and services are to you. Don’t break your arm patting yourselves on the back for what the free version offers. Don’t respond to this as I don’t care and won’t read it anyway. As it turns out, I work in the software industry and know what I’m talking about when it comes to talking to customers.
Never updates
I have purchased this app for lifetime. Spent $249. I am travelling in Europe. No gate information at all even after the flight is finished. I was in Copenhagen when I purchased this app. Never updated gate information. I am going to Frankfurt and no gate information even when plane is going to take off. Sent a information through the app, they never responded yet after 10 days. Shame on you guys for treating your lifetime customers like this. Had I known this, I would not have purchased the app. Can I rate this app 0? I would if I can.
Terrible, annoying, and inaccurate
I tested this app on a flight that a friend took, to see if it lived up to the hype. It was fine, so I subscribed to use it on a trip of my own. Not only did it overwhelm me with notifications even after I turned most of them off, but it was incorrect on pretty much everything about the flights. It kept saying that my flight was leaving two hours early when it was leaving at the same time as it had been scheduled to leave for months. Why would I want to add more inaccurate, confusing noise to a travel day? It’s incredibly expensive, and extremely irritating.
Major disappointment
Visually stunning, and the real-time alerts are nice. However, I bought this for the calendar sync b/c TripIt calendar subscription wasn't working correctly. It worked correctly for a hot second. Since then, calendar sync has not worked. I did get it to sync to one of my iCloud calendars but only that one (not the one I wanted) and since I deleted that calendar now no calendars. Additionally, the dynamic import from TripIt doesn't work when a trip changes. I have to disable and re-enable TripIt connection to get it to register the change. At firsts, support was seemingly responsive, but despite several chasing emails they have gone radio silent. If you want any of the integrations, don't waste your money.
Withholds features for pro
Don’t download this app unless you want to pay for basic iOS features like notifications and live activities of flight statuses. Uninstalled it right away after finding this out. They (as a company) don’t seem to think basic info on flight status isn’t basic. They think they are special and should upcharge for this. What a scam, just wait until Apple has this as a standard part of iOS. I already have it requested with my team at Apple. We’ll see how long they last.

Old school
Remember when not every app was a subscription? For a few dollars you could simply buy an app like this one outright, share it with your family, use it occasionally.
Well you can do that here, too! For the insane price of $450. Four hundred and fifty dollars! To track your flights LOL. The developers who pioneered this category must be feeling mighty stupid right now.
Of course, Apple gives it an award. Every lifetime license is what, $135 for them?! If only every developer was this greedy, why, they’d all be rich!

Wrong Dates for Flights
This looks like a great app for updates on your flights with one glaring problem. The app consistently tracked flights one day early for 3 flights imported from my Apple calendar. This caused some stress as I wondered if I had booked my flights for the wrong day. I tried Help/FAQ but no useful info there so I deleted the app. Not sure what the problem is but failing to provide accurate basic information is a deal breaker. My calendar is in the same time zone as the destination and/or departure locations, so it’s not a time zone issue. Not going to troubleshoot further.

Flighty monitors your flight 25 hours before departure, tracks inbound flight history to predict delays, and provides arrival forecasts based on historical data, making it unique compared to App in the Air.
Flighty is a comprehensive flight tracking app available for free on the App Store, though it includes optional in-app purchases. It's designed for anyone planning to fly, offering detailed information about flights without tracking you via Facebook or Google SDKs. This means your activity within the app isn't monitored by these companies.
While Flighty provides detailed information on flights, including departure, arrival times, and flight paths, it may not update in real-time as precisely as some other apps. It gives a good representation of a flight's status and path, but for exact real-time tracking, other platforms might offer more up-to-the-second data.
Yes, Flighty includes a feature that directs users to a website detailing COVID-19 travel impact and restrictions by country. This is especially useful for planning trips during the pandemic, helping you stay informed about the changing travel restrictions and guidelines.
Flighty's Pro package offers enhanced notifications, including alerts for delays, gate changes, departure, takeoff, check-in, cancellations, and email TripIt imports. Additional premium features include "Where's My Plane?" alerts, FAA airport delays, connection info, and detailed flight path tracking.
Flighty allows for automatic syncing of flight information through email forwarding, TripIt sync, or calendar sync. By registering your email with Flighty and forwarding your flight confirmation emails, the app can automatically import your flight details, simplifying the tracking process.
Flighty is noted for its exceptional customer support. The development team is responsive and helpful, addressing users' questions and concerns promptly and with care. This level of support enhances the overall user experience and reliability of the app.
Yes, Flighty is a global flight tracking app capable of tracking flights worldwide. Whether you're flying within North America or internationally, Flighty can provide you with comprehensive flight details, including delays, weather conditions, and aircraft information.
Flighty stands out due to its user-friendly interface, absence of tracking by major tech companies, and unique features like morning and check-in assistants, which offer itinerary updates and help with connecting flights. Its focus on privacy, global capability, and detailed flight information make it a valuable app for travelers.
Opinions on the value of Flighty's PRO version vary. Some users feel that it is expensive and may not be worth the investment for those who only travel occasionally. Others might find the enhanced tracking features, notifications, and customer support beneficial for frequent travel.
