Ford 2017 Ford Escape from Park City Ford, Bridgeport, CT

From Park City Ford, we leased a 2017 Ford Escape in July 2017 and bought it off lease in 2020. Late June 2022 the car over heated and its flashing engine light illuminated - all coolant was gone. Contacted the service department June 29, 2022, (I knew the car was under warranty until JULY 7), and again on July 1 to explain the engine was vibrating and failed and informed them the back end was leaking fluid. The service department asked for my last name to get the VIN number. They exclaimed the earliest appointment to even look at it wasn’t until MID AUGUST. Since it was purchased from them thought we’d be in good hands to have all 3 problems solved - WRONG CHOICE. Researched and found FORD had 2 recalls (their term: Customer Satisfaction Campaigns on the engine and transmission which expire November 20, 2022). Fast forward 5 MONTHS of no car (sat in their parking lot), our daily, weekly, and monthly calls and emails - just ignored. No loaner car until the very end and constantly lying about any progress even attempted. Turns out the entire engine needed to be replaced and ironically, they ignored the fluid leak. Just got the car back and still the fluid leak so took it back and it turns out the entire back differential system needs to be replaced as well. WAIT FOR IT…. Having the car, the entire time, they waited until after its warranty expired on July 7 to tell me I must pay $2400 out of pocket. Advised me to contact FORD customer relations which "Alan" said this dealer has had numerous complaints against them, but they will do nothing about it. So much for protecting the brand name.

Desired outcome: Have FORD honor their commitment under warranty from a different authorized dearlership.

Ford Spare parts malfunctioning and replacement

Dear Ford,

Hello I'm Kareim Yehya, writing this email on behalf of my mother in law (Dr. Ghada Kandil) who resides in Alexandria City - Egypt.

She owns a Ford EcoSport (1000cc) from 2019, VIN (WF01XXERKKRA58614) with Mileage (52,000 KM +-) 28 Nov 2022, with last service dated in May 2022 (45,000KM +-).

The car in May 2022 had a problem with the turbo charger and was replaced by the Authorized dealer (Auto Jamil - Alexandria) branch with no cost for the spare part.

Now the car after 7,000 Km, had its Oil Pressure lamp turned on and went to the service center on a tow truck, the engineers after inspection told us that the

- TurboCharger

- Oil Pump

- Vacuum Pump

- Belts

Are damaged and need replacement but without warranty claims. With a total Cost of 56,000 EGP without installation and maintenance fees.

We seek your Assistance in providing the spare parts as the car is relatively new and now that is the third time in the same year to have problems with the turbocharger or oil cycle.

Can you please assist us regarding this case?

Ford Ford truck f150 greatest trucks ever now absolutely junk

Why dont you build them like they were in 1970's? My 98 F150 has been the worst truck I've ever had. My 79 has more power, miles, less rust, and is still very dependable. My 98 I've replaced the motor and now the gas tank and fill tube is rusting away its a money pit that just never stops. I'm done with your company you build it out of cheap steel and gutless engines. Its truly made me never wanting a newer vehicle then 1979. Screw this newer cheaper junk. Oh my 79 with a 400 gets just as good of gas millage. I HATE ALL FUEL INJECTION SYSTEMS AND COMPUTERS. There just guarenteed to fail in more ways. Ic you gave me a new one now, id sell it before I'd drive it. Im tired of walking due to breakdowns or running out of gas. Only because the tank is made out of cheap [censored] thin steel. Ive worked in a steel factory for 30 years. I know cheap steel when i see it.

So all im saying is you need to call up those who built the old ones and listen to them and quit setting your new junk up for failure. More electronics = more failure. Or dop you price in half cause there not worth the money your asking. I can buy a house for less and live in it.

A truck today aint worth $10. Or the old one are worth millions cause they wont die or rust like new ones do.

Ford 2011 Ford explorer

My steering locked up and left my daughter stuck on the side of the freeway for 3 hours waiting for a tow. We had it towed to the nearest dealer in Spokane Washington-Corwin. We are told there was a warranty extension 15N01and its just over 10 years, and it will cost $2900.

We had the vehicle into the shop 3 times over the past 2 years for the steering issue and since it was not broken at the time we had it in the shop they did nothing.

Dealer cant do anything and customer care said sorry

I was never told there was extension on the warranty or I would have pushed to have it replaced years ago!

We take very good care of our vehicles and all recalls have been performed.

Ford 2020F150 transmission

See my original email to Ford on 08/06/22. No response from Ford Motor Co. I emailed again on 11/21/22.

Subject: 2020 F150

Hello,

First of all I've owned at least five new Ford Trucks from Rangers to F-150s since the mid-90s. Prior to that, at least 3 pre-owned Ford products. So I guess you could say I prefer Fords. I just want to let you know how disappointed I am with my 2020 F-150. I had my transmission replaced at around 5,000 miles; and it was not a happy experience. My F-150 was in the service department for a very long time. I was unable to go on 2 separate snowmobiling trips, since I did not have my truck. The new transmission, still has a lot to be desired as far as workmanship. The transmission does not shift properly at times; and sometimes it down shifts three gears while going uphill. But, I am told that is "normal". Other than having the transmission replaced, I'm extremely disappointed with the quality of the paint. I have at least a dozen or so paint chips throughout the truck exterior. This is absolutely a poorly painted vehicle, and completely unacceptable. To top it off, my door locks do not work with the remote sporadically. And sometimes they do not automatically lock while driving. That, to me, is a safety concern. I need some guidance as to what I can do regarding this truck. I have under 25,000 miles on the vehicle, and I'm a bit leery to drive it; or have my wife use it. I shared my VIN below.

Ford Ford F150 Lariat 2018

I have a Ford F 150 Lariat ,bought it new in 2018 it has 68,268 KM on it , I brought it to the dealer below 60,000 KM on it the low beam died on the drivers side , so I thought no problem I have extra coverage ,which was 5 yrs so I made my way to Colony and ask them to have a look so I could get it fixed ,they told me that the cost would be 2,800 $ dollars ,I assured them I had coverage ,they said it's not on LED lights so I was shocked because I wasn't aware of these LEDs I never asked for LEDS when I bought the Truck and if I had known ,I wouldn't have purchased the Truck anyway just to let u know this will be my last Ford Vehicle ,and to let others know I will plaster this all over social media so others will see what they're buying and not be in a trap like I was Paul Pettipas

Ford Ford F-150 4X4 Supercab VIN #1FTFX1EG7HFB06472

Over the past 6 months I've been trying to rebond the upper rear window slide which keeps falling in. I've used the recommended 3M urethane 08609 and 06384 double back tape and cleaned the mating surfaces with acetone prior to installation per the installation procedure.

Also, I took this truck in for the oil change and tire rotation 11/14/22 and was told the oil pan is warping and needed to be replaced at the next oil change.

Crestview ford estimated the entire rear window replacement should be approximately $1,800.00 and the oil pan $1,100.00. This truck has less than 20,000 miles on it and seems to be falling apart, is there anything Ford could do to help me out. I am retired and cannot afford all these additional costs.

Ford Total rental car reimbursement not received

Hello,

My name is Floyd Neal. I am a Ford Customr and am filing this complaint against Legacy Ford, 27225 Southwest Freeway Rosenberg, Texas 77471. On 29 September 2022, I turned my 2020 Ford Fusion into the Service Department for repairs. I ask the Service Representative Chris Crixhaw about a loaner vehicle while my vehicle was being repaired. He told me that they donot give loaner vehicles but that I could purchase a rental vehicle through Enterprise car rental which has an office at their location and that it would cost me $35 a day. He said that Ford would pay for the 1st 10 days and that any days beyong that, I would have to pay out of pocket and that Ford would reimburse me the amount up to $35 a day. I accepted that and got the vehicle from Enterprise car rental.

After 10 days my vehicle still had not been repaired. On 07 October I returned to Ford and ask Chris if I could get an extension on the rental and was told that I would have to call Ford directly to request an extension. I called Ford and spoke to an individual name Justin in the Approval Department (Case #[protected]). He told me that he could not authorize approval of the extension and transferred me to Monica in the CRC Department, which I take it is the Credit Repair Department (Case #[protected]). Monica explaind that all Ford would pay is the first 10 days at $35 and any days beyond that would be my responsibility and that I would be reimbursed.

After several days of paying $35 a day, this became very expensive because I was paying for the rental out of pocket. By 18 October my vehicle still had not been repaired and I was told it was awaiting parts.

Again, I contacted Ford to request an extension on the car rental and to explain the financial burden that this was imposing on me finacially. I spoke to Logan in Customer Relations who transferred me to Pamela (Case#[protected]). I explained to her the financial burden that this was causing me and requested an extension on the car rental, She told me that she understood my problem, but that Ford has a policy that they only will pay for the first 10 days at $35 a day and that the customer will be responsible for any days after that and that I would be reimbursed. To confirm this I was transferred to several representatives (Marissa, Jasmin, Monica, Andrea, and Sharon) who all said that Ford policy is to pay for the first 10 days of the rental and that the customer would be responsible for any days after that and that the customer would be reimbursed for the days they paid after that 10 days.

On 01 November I recieved my vehicle and turned in the reciepts to Eddie Summers, the Legacy Ford Service Manager. The total amount of the rental paid by me was $805. I only have reciepts for $761, one of the reciepts was lost. When I contacted Mr. Summers a week later for my reimbursement, he told me that Ford only paid $508. I told him that I was told when I turned in my vehicle for repairs that I would be reimbursed at $35 a day after the first 10 days that Ford paid. Mr. Summers told me that I would have to call Ford to resolve this issue.

I called Ford on 08 November and explained to Talha Rasheed what I was told about my reimbursement. She told me that she understood and put me in contact with Ms. Tashay case (#[protected]). She told me that she would call the Legacy Service Manager to try and resolve the issue. She said that she would call me back within 24 hours. I did not hear from Ms. Tashay after the 24 hours and called Ford again. I was put in contact with the supervisor Ms. Amanda who told me that she understood my situation and that she would contact the Legacy Ford Manager and that Legacy Ford would contact me. After 24 hours I still haven't been contacted by the Ford Manager. I am sick and tired of getting the run around and am seeking your help in getting what is due me. As stated I recieved $508 and is due $253. I do not have the reciept for the extra day of the car rental, and am willing to let that go.

Sir/Madam, I am a Disabled Veteran on oxygen 24/7. I've been a customer with Ford for more than 10 years, have bought several vehicles and have a excellent payment history with Ford. I can hardly believe that I am being treated this way for $253.

Desired outcome: Please refund reimbursement due for car rental in the amount of $253. I cannot attach the reciepts because of unsupported format. If you need me to send them email, please provide an email address.

Ya we got the run around from Ford so much on their loaner cars, endless repair needs that we traded the vehicle in and went back to Toyota. It’s been one of the best decisions. Sorry you are having problems but I really don’t think Ford cares about their customers.

Ford 2015 Escape

They are telling me my 2015 Escape has a blown head gasket. Has had regular oil changes at our dealership and until about a month ago no issues. When I called to get it in to be worked on, I was told by another dealership that he has had three with the same issue in the past month. This would seem to me that this is not normal for a vehicle with only a little over 100,000 miles. Of course my extended warranty ran out in April.

Is it possible that there might be a recall for this issue?

I have driven Ford vehicles for a very long time and this is the first brand new vehicle I have ever owned, but if this is all the longer they last, I might consider something else next time.

Desired outcome: I would like a big discount or free repairs on this issue.

Ford 2016 Ford F150 Truck

have a truck with 15, 000 km on it and have been told that the heater core is clogged on it. As it blows cold air on driver side and heat on passenger side. I just find it hard to believe the heater core would be clogged as this truck is very rarely used and only has 15, 000km on it. I took it in to a Ford dear ship and they want $2,600. 00 for it to be repaired. I have filed a case with Ford but I have not heard anything as of yet. They called Senchuck Ford but I am not sure what is going on.

Desired outcome: I would like Ford to cover some of the cost as I don't believe a heater core should last only 5 years all mechanics I have talked to say it is impossible for a heater core to be gone in 5 years unless it is default right from factory.

I have driven a 1998 Lincoln Town Car (a Ford) for 20+ years. The heater cores have been a regular problem over the years. I’ve replaced it 3 times. Twice at the dealership and once at a mechanic’s shop. My cost has been around $1,500 each time including the cost of the heater core. It’s expensive because it’s under the dashboard, and it has to be removed to replace the heater core. I had a similar problem with climate control blowing warm on one side and cold on the other. It’s likely the blend door (replaced too) and not the heater core causing the problem in my experience.

Ford 2014 escape

Had ALL service done at dealer. Brought in for vibrations on highway service had it for weeks returned saying it wasn’t fixed said it was bad tires , bought new ones

3 months later and 200 miles out of warranty transmission is destroyed

No one will help and repair is $7000

If this isn’t resolved and Fords are only good to 100,000 miles I will never by another Ford and tell everyone that I can not Beto buy a Ford, take to social media and tell everyone not to buy a Ford and call the local media and tell them how you would not help a Union family man who only buys American

Ford Dealership promotion

I purchased my Bronco Sport and found that a promotion was being offered for purchase of new vehicles that wasn’t offered to me. When I inquired about it, the post on Facebook was edited and I was told I don’t qualify on a technicality. But instead of making this right, I was put off. This is just bad business and I will not be going back to this location for my service or recommending in the future.

Ford 2017 Ford Edge SE

I have a 2017 Ford edge SE my problem with the Ford edge is the flex plate. Ford has a recall on the flex plate issue but not on my model vehicle. my flex plate is broke as well on 11/4/2022 while on the highway. I feel my vehicle should be on the recall as well with the other models. I almost got into an accident on the highway because of this flex plate. The dealership is saying it may be $1500 or more to fix this problem, money I do not have.

Desired outcome: I would like this issue fixed on the recall status for no charge. I have missed a weeks worth of work and can’t afford this much money.

Ford Ford service

8 weeks.. EIGHT weeks is the time I have been waiting to have my truck fixed. I dropped it out for a couple of days to Legacy Ford for it to be diagnosed. With it still being under warranty, they stated I needed a replacement for my transmission. Was I offered a loaner? No. Did I continuously ask for one? Yes. Did I had to fork out $500 to rent a tiny Corolla for 10 days? Yes. But I can afford $500 weekly as a single mother of 3 kids. Someone finally gave me a number to expedite the case with Ford on week 6. It is now week 8, and no one has ANY answers. I requested my truck back to drive in the mean time hoping it will fall apart before I finally get my transmission that is under warranty. NO ONE IS HELPING ME!

Ford 2003 Ford Windstar

I had borrowed my step dad’s windstar, after I backed out put in drive, gas pedal went to floor by itself, car took off and crashed into a home.

I was injured in this accident.

The subframe rusted out and separated and dropped and this caused accident.

Ford recalled windstars for this issue.

Ford transmission

was informed of a problem with the dual transmission in my 2015 ford focus. 4 times have taken it to the dealer to be fixed. each time i explained it was doing the samething. rattling, shifting hard, and shuttering. 3 times they fixed it, saying it was something different. the last time i was informed that it was the clutch forks. i told the dealer that they had recently fixed those. did not hear back, and when i called, no one was there. when i finally contacted them, i was informed the transmission needed to be replaced. this last incident happened on 31 oct. 2022.

Desired outcome: would like to truth from the dealer and have it sixed.

Ford 2018 f150 xlt vin: 1ftew1cg7jfe38838

I am writing about the DEFECTIVE design on the 10-speed transmission and the 3.5 Eco boost engine with bad cam phasers. My truck is in Autonation Fords shop to get the transmission rebuilt a SECOND time! Yes, it had the cam phasers replaced about 2 years ago and they are starting to chatter again.

Lucky for me Since I was talked out of buying a F150 with a 6 speed trans and a 5.0 engine I purchased an extended warranty, as I would be broke right now. My warranty however expires in about 2500 miles, and when this happens again I will be burdened with the cost of repairing, towing charges and rental costs due to a bad design.!

Also when I went to bring the truck in I was initially that I would have to wait about six months to get it looked at due to a tech shortage. After talking to th e service Mgr they agreed to take it and fit it in between other repairs.

My problem now is that this will happen again when It is out of warranty, and will have to bear all the costs of a defective transmission/engine design. This along with the higher cost of fuel due the decreasing mileage with the bad cam phasers design. This is my 14th Ford product and very unhappy with the FORD design problems that are being passed to the consumers. My flex also had design problems, which caused me to trade it in costing me $

Desired outcome: My desired outcome would be:1: Replace vehicle (I know this is a pipe dream)2: Give me a FORD extended warranty for another 150,000 miles and 5 years for the engine and transmission. including any towing and rental car charges.3:

Ford 2017 Ford Escape Paint

I have a 2017 Ford Escape that has paint peeling around the windshield. This vehicle is garage kept and well maintained, and the paint is literally just peeling and flaking off, the surface below is smooth and non sticky as this appears to be a factory paint adhesion issue. This is happening on the top around the windshield as well as the side of the windshield.

Desired outcome: I would appreciate a response as soon as possible as to what Ford is going to do about this issue. I would like to have the paint redone properly and have Ford cover this. I have owned Fords in the past and never had this issue.

Ford F150 Platinum Hybrid - 2022 - 8,000 miles

After starting the vehicle, I heard a loud pop and then loud static that couldn’t be turned off. Unfortunately this happened at 5:30am on my way to a very important business meeting. Needless to say, I missed the meeting.

Instead of business travel, I will be headed to the dealership. I have video, but it exceeds the 5MB limit.

Ford Ford escape 2010 steering rack

There were no problems leading up to the issue. The issue, I came out of work and started my vehicle and had a "Power Steering Assist Fault" in my information box, and no power steering. Now, various Ford Edges, Explorers, Fusions and Escape have been recalled because of this. Close to 775,000 vehicles have been recalled. But, I'm told my Ford that since my truck wasn't totally put together at one of three defective plants, it's not under recall. If you do research, the electronic steering rack is supposed to last the life of the car, unless you do excessive driving, totally many miles. 134,000 over 12 years is not excessive. This is a Ford part problem, not to mention a safety issue. But, just like all meglomanics, it gets pushed under the carpeting is they can get away with it.

Desired outcome: I would like my vehicle fixed.
