I gotta say, FreeCodeCamp is a pretty sweet deal. Everything they got is free, which is a big plus in my book. And the tutorials they got are designed in a way that really makes you think. You can't just skip ahead without answering the questions, so you gotta really engage with the material. It's a great way to get started with coding if you're a total newbie.

FreeCodeCamp Review of FreeCodeCamp: A Good Resource for Learning to Code, but Not Without Its Flaws

This website, FreeCodeCamp, is a pretty good resource for learning how to code. The certification tab has a code editor that works pretty well, but sometimes the code testing isn't the best. And some of the hints can be really confusing, which can be frustrating.

One thing that's nice about this site is that you can work ahead if you want to. This is great if you already know some of the material, but it can be easy to get lost if you're not careful. And the site doesn't save your code, so you have to be careful not to lose your work.

Learning live is cool, but sometimes the tooltips don't give you all the information you need. This can be really annoying, especially if you're trying to learn something specific. For example, the site doesn't always explain what a tag represents or what siblings a tag can have.

If you like to experiment with code, you might get frustrated with this site. It's really focused on the certification tasks, so if you deviate from the path, you might not get the most out of the site. And commenting doesn't really do anything, so you have to keep track of your progress on your own.

One thing that's really annoying is that it's hard to find specific lines of code. This can make it really time-consuming to fix mistakes. And if you're working on the HTML certification, you might get annoyed that the site prefers RGBA over hex for colors. It's easier to use hex codes, but the site wants you to use RGBA.

Overall, FreeCodeCamp is a good resource for learning how to code. It's not perfect, but it's a good place to start if you're new to coding. Just be prepared to do some extra research if you get stuck.

FreeCodeCamp Mixed Feelings: A Review of FreeCodeCamp's Learning Resources and Community

I gotta say, FreeCodeCamp is a bit of a mixed bag. On one hand, it's a great resource for learning HTML and other coding languages. But on the other hand, it can be a bit confusing and frustrating at times.

For starters, the learning style is a bit odd. It's basically a "copy what you see on the screen" approach, which can be helpful for some people but not so much for others. And sometimes they skip steps or make huge leaps in the material, which can be really confusing if you're not already familiar with the topic.

Speaking of which, they do seem to assume that you have some prior knowledge before you start. I mean, I get that HTML isn't exactly rocket science, but I was a bit confused when they started talking about things like scr elements and main tags right off the bat. It would have been nice if they had explained things a bit more clearly for beginners.

And then there's the donation thing. I don't mind supporting a good cause, but it's a bit annoying when they ask for money every few screens. Like, let me actually learn something before you start hitting me up for cash, you know?

But despite all that, I have to say that the community on FreeCodeCamp is really great. When I used the site a few years ago, I got a lot of help and support from other users, which was awesome. But when I came back recently, I was a bit put off by all the trash talking and general negativity. I mean, I get that people like to joke around and stuff, but it can be a bit much sometimes.

And to top it all off, I actually got banned from the site a few months ago. I won't go into all the details, but basically I got into an argument with someone who was harassing me, and I ended up getting banned instead of them. It was really frustrating, and it kind of soured my opinion of the site as a whole.

All in all, I'd say that FreeCodeCamp is a decent resource for learning coding, but it's not without its flaws. The community can be great, but it can also be a bit toxic at times. And the learning style and donation requests can be a bit off-putting. But if you're willing to put up with all that, you can definitely learn a lot from the site.

FreeCodeCamp Review: FreeCodeCamp.org - Learn to Code for Free and Land Your Dream Job

FreeCodeCamp.org is a website that is dedicated to helping people learn how to code for free. It is a non-profit organization that has helped millions of people learn how to code. Their curriculum is very extensive and they offer a variety of certifications that can help you become an IT professional and land a job in the hottest industry.

The certifications that they offer include Responsive Web Design Certification, Javascript Algorithms And Data Structures Certification, Front End Libraries Certification, Data Visualization Certification, Apis And Microservices Certification, Information Security And Quality Assurance Certification, and Coding Interview Prep. Each certification requires 300 hours of work, except for Coding Interview Prep which requires thousands of hours of challenges.

The best part about FreeCodeCamp.org is that it is completely free. All you need to bring is motivation and a willingness to learn. They have a lively community with active forums where you can ask questions and get help from other learners. Each learning track requires you to build projects, which you can add to your portfolio or CV when you go job hunting.

To obtain a certification, you need to add links to the live demos of your completed projects to your profile and accept the Academic Honesty Policy. Once you have added all 5 projects required for a certification, you can claim it. While a site certification like this may not be worth a lot in the outside world, it does provide you with a record of achievement.

There are over 1400 coding challenges to date, which provide a solid foundation for learning how to code. There are many coding bootcamps out there that charge a large sum of money and provide way less than what you'll find on FreeCodeCamp.org.

The learning interface features an instruction area where the subject matter is explained and a task is given for you to complete. Then there is an interactive area where you can provide code and view your output. All tasks have clear test cases, hints, and sometimes instructional video links are provided. If you get stuck, a direct link to the appropriate forum is just a click away. It may look a bit daunting at first, but it is easy to get used to and the community of learners is right there to help out.

As a non-profit organization, FreeCodeCamp.org relies on donations. They feature a message on their home page asking for donations, but they never nag or urge you to donate. Overall, FreeCodeCamp.org is an excellent resource for anyone who wants to learn how to code for free.
